    Boom, Baby! This remake is a fantastic continuation and expansion of FFVII Remake: adding to Final Fantasy VII’s legacy as one of gaming’s most important cornerstones to ever come out of Japan.

    The game still has all the good stuff from the PS4 release, and then some extra stuff with the Yuffie chapter. What’s not to like here? If you played the last one, you can carry your data over    Boom, Baby! This remake is a fantastic continuation and expansion of FFVII Remake: adding to Final Fantasy VII’s legacy as one of gaming’s most important cornerstones to ever come out of Japan.

    The game still has all the good stuff from the PS4 release, and then some extra stuff with the Yuffie chapter. What’s not to like here? If you played the last one, you can carry your data over without fail, and it backtracks your story-based trophies too. Though it’ll become a little tricky making sure you’re up to speed with BOTH the PS4 and PS5 versions (if you haven’t finished the prior version completely) in terms of the Trophies; that’s one thing that could be addressed if it hasn’t already, as in PS5-to-PS4 data transferring so as to make things a little less cumbersome.

    Final Fantasy remains a strong and completely relevant, important franchise in gaming and still innovates in the J-RPG scene with every release.    … Expand

    I remember when I was in my teenage years and my Dad and I used to stay up late and play ff7 on psx, yup those were the good old days of gaming! And now that I'm an adult on my 40s and waiting years to see a this masterpiece of a remake brings joy to my heart and memories! Epic all the way and a perfect game deserves a perfect score.

    This game is fantastic. It has beautiful graphics, simply amazing music aka incredible, the story is great and the voice acting and dialogue is top notch. As far as the gaming experience goes, this is top tier. As far as rpg's go, this game hits all the check marks.

    I've read the complaints and disagree with them about textures and graphics. Yes this game has some blurry textures but I    This game is fantastic.     I've read the complaints and disagree with them about textures and graphics. Yes this game has some blurry textures but I don't expect perfection. It also has some weird story plots, but hey, it's a Final Fantasy game and overall it kept me entirely engaged the whole time.

    I will also reiterate that the music is absolutely hands down superb. The art direction as well is something else worth talking about.

    I am a big fan of the original and this new remake has done a great job remaking most aspects of the original game and also changing things that were outdated. Absolutely Enjoyed this game and looking forward to play part 2 and 3

    Somehow they managed to do a worthy remake the bar has been set high! GOTY 2020! The Yuffie DLC is also a great addition. Sets the next installment up nicely.

    I didn’t expect it to be more than a 7/10, like where it’s cool enough to be worth playing but nothing amazing. I love it though, and I’m not even a FF7 fanboy. The demo was interesting but I barely beat it because I struggled with combat.

    It’s very cinematic. I was caught off guard by how much I actually got caught up in the drama and excitement of the story. And the city is AMAZING.     I expected the music to be kind of generic orchestral stuff, but they use a good variety of interesting music that I found myself impressed by. I played with a headset and highly recommend it.

    Combat gets more fun as you earn more materia and level their skills up. It can be difficult on normal difficulty, but don’t let that discourage you. The game is so cool that it’d be a shame to miss the experience...just play it on easy.

    Is it worth $70? It’s supposed to be a 35-50 hour game, depending on how much time you want to get out of it, so you’ll have to decide for yourself. I highly recommend it, but also you should be aware that it’s very linear (just like the Midgar section in original FF7). You can explore and find items because maps still have side passages, etc. but if you absolutely hate linear games, be aware this is one.

    To me it’s an awesome, cinematic experience. Some of the dialogue is corny but a lot of the voice acting is charming. If you buy it, I hope you love it too!    … Expand

    Ok, I thought this was incredibly average on ps4. I was 24 yrs old when i purchased the original fvii on my original playstation. It was jaw droppingly good. So the the remake was always going to be average right ? Especially for my age group right ? The most critical generation of today's games in a world of free to play and pay to win mechanic rubbish.     Si ya en PS4 te maravillaba visualmente y su gameplay exquisito, con las mejoras en texturas y los 60fps todo es infinitamente mejor. A eso le sumas el DLC de Yuffie y el final extendido, y tenés un juego que te hará emocionar y compenetrarte con sus personajes como pocos. Un de mis juegos favoritos de toda la vida y este, el mejor remake jamás hecho según mi consideración

    The best Final Fantasy game i have played since FF10. Highlights are music, art direction and combat system. The DLC was fun and Yuffie's combat is probably my second favorite after Tifa.
    I had already played the original version, Intergrade only made the game better. The battle system was truly fantastic even on PS4, but PS5 running it at 60fps made it even better.

    I don't really play single player games, I found games like god of War, ghost of tsushima and horizon zero dawn extremely boring, as they're all trying to be movies instead of an actual game... As for my first final fantasy game, it's fantastic! Whenever I think that I'm done, it hits me with another couple of hours of gameplay. This is the most fun I've had in a single player game in aI don't really play single player games, I found games like god of War, ghost of tsushima and horizon zero dawn extremely boring, as they're all trying to be movies instead of an actual game...     This game is absolutely incredible. From the compelling story, to the creative ways to take on foes in battles, to all the unique items to power up the player, to the customization, GREAT characters, stunning graphics and visuals, , BADASS ACTION sequences, it is all phenomenal. What an experience!

    I loved FFVIIR on PS4, and these PS5 enhancements are fantastic -- the definitive way to play. As for the big Yuffie "InterMission" expansion -- I love Yuffie and knew I'd enjoy this, but it has far exceeded my expectations. The new music, sophisticated combat mechanics, phenomenal voice casting, and more really deal the deal.. I cannot wait for the next thing!

    Game of the year already again in my opinion. Every aspect of the game is fun! Once you understand the fight mechanics and how to configure your magic, you'll be absolutely hooked! And learning these skills are not difficult. In fact simply pressing pause and reading the manual will help a great deal. As you progress a tutorial explains as you go. The story and graphics are above a 10!Game of the year already again in my opinion. Every aspect of the game is fun!     I’ve played this game on the ps1 back in the day and I was excited to give it a try on the ps5, my expectations were high but boy this exceeded all my expectations, this is a masterpiece, one of the best video games I’ve ever played.

Goodness radiates through the characters and their friendship, their common goal to save the planet. It accomplishes so much with less of the modern day staples. Playing this game gives me hope for our future. I know that sounds pretty cheesy, but thereAt first, it seems ridiculous. Then it really, really grows on you.     And Intermission gives you a good chunk of more story and intodruces Yuffie. She is, as the other members of the Group displayed in a truthfull way. They even addes more depth to her Character than ever. Just a great Addition overall.

    It was amazing PS4 experience, it's even better PS5 experience. This game is an adventure and when you see ending credits you will realize that these characters are your friends and you can't wait to meet them again.

    This is clearly version is clearly superior of that of the ps4 and as of writing this (the PC port isn't out yet) it is the best way to play this game along with an incredible dlc that teases the sequel to this amazing game. 60 fps, photo mode, better graphics/fidelity (THEY FIXED THE DOOR!!) and dlc, what more can you want? Only issue is getting a ps5 to actually run this...     The PS4 version of the game was already good but this updated PS5 version is wonderful + very good dlc for Yuffie. I can only recommend it, it's great.

    Amazing Story, Uematsu's outstanding Music, amazing Character and great Gameplay. This Game is a Example what made me fall in love with Videogames in the 90th's

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Final fantasy 7 is a game that needs no introduction. When it came out it made Jrpgs awesome in the west and people started to recognize the genre. To this day people still look back fondly on this game thinking about The amazing protagonist Cloud or the cute and hilarious Aerith as well as Sephiroth one of the most iconic video game villains of all time. However we are no longer in 1997 time has passed since the original Adventure with cloud and the gang. In 2015 Final fantasy 7 Remake was announced and it was a sight to behold a remake of a beloved game. So many were excited for this game and were excited to experience FF7 all over again except with a modern version of the game. I myself was excited although there existed a problem I was an Xbox and Nintendo owner I didn't have a PlayStation. So the game came out and I didn't get to play it at launch time passed and in 2021 I finally got my hands on a PlayStation 5 it was time to finally try it. One thing I should mention Final fantasy 7 remake is only part one of the remake there will be 2 more parts released later on. And when I went to play the game it was magical not only was it everything I wanted it to be, not only was it breathtaking, it was everything I ever wanted in a Remake of Final fantasy 7 and even more. The game in my eyes has surpassed the high expectations I had for it. Let's start by talking about the big thing the story. Final fantasy 7 Remake for the most part is the original story but with differences that make the story engaging and fresh even for people that have already played the original game. I really liked the added context for story and the expansion of Midgar it was absolutely phenomenal and it's amazing. Gonna talk spoilers rq towards the end of the game a decent amount of stuff happens that was not at all in the original game. Many out there dislike this and think it completely ruins the story and game. How do I feel about it you ask? I for one love the changes made it makes sense when you remember this is Final fantasy 7 Remade for modern times it never was gonna be 1:1 to the original. The story is the same it's just being told slightly differently and I absolutely love it so far everything that has happened I'm completely on board for it has me theorizing what's next and it has my absolutely excited for the future games and man if part 1 was this good I bet part 2 and 3 will be amazing too. I wanna touch on the topic of characters all of them have received amazing Voice acting and it matches the characters from the original game really well. I'm only gonna talk about 1 character for time's sake I'm gonna talk about my fav character of all time Aerith. In this game Aerith was treated with such respect that it just felt like FF7 Aerith in everyway but better in some ways and I love it. every scene with her made me really happy and to see her be done with Justice it's really touching I love the care that went into preserving what made Aerith great in the original game. As she was then she's adorable and absolutely funny while also being emotionally touching. I love everything they did with her I could go on and on but I'll move on. Let's talk gameplay the original Final fantasy 7 was a turn based RPG. For those in the know you probably noticed my last sentence was false which good eye. Final fantasy 7 the original uses an atb system which basically means enemies can attack you if you are too slow you do you gotta learn to be fast in it. In Remake they went for an action approach and let me just say. This is my favorite combat system in any video game what they have done here makes me really happy. Blocking attacks is important for defense and in a good amount of encounters helps defeat enemies with insane offensive abilities. After landing a lot of hits or waiting you get atb charges which in this game let you cast a magic or use an ability which uses the atb charge and these can help you turn the tide of battles. Materia also is here and let's you customize and make your own builds which adds to replayability and it's just an amazing system. The ability to switch characters at anytime makes it so you can have full control of the battle and just is so fun to perform. There's even more but I'll leave it at that. Music in this game is some of the best music I've ever heard one of my favorite soundtracks of all time easily. If it wasn't apparent from all the praise you just read Final fantasy 7 Remake is one of my favorite games of all time as of writing this I would probably put the original and remake as my 2nd fav of all time it just clicks with me and does things I personally adore in gaming. My final score for Final fantasy 7 Remake is a 10/10 I love this game so much… Expand

    If I loved the PS4 version of this game, Intergrade just made it so much better! No loading times, textures have been improved so much, increased resolution, improved lighting & 60 fps just makes it nearly perfect, Also, the Yuffie DLC is so much fun! And Fort Condor mini game is pure nostalgia. Can't wait for Part 2!

    Ya consideré la primera parte en PS4 una obra maestra (y mi GOTY 2020), y en PS5 no hace más que mejorar, sobre todo en su modo 60fps ya que solo varia a que resolución escala. Encima el DLC Intermission me parece todo un acierto, creado con el mismo mimo que se esta tratando toda la obra.

    This is the best kind of compromise for people who likes turn base game play.
    The Materia system allows for deep customization. you have a party system and can switch between your party members as indented for a FF game.
    The Ghost plot makes no sense.

    Better version of an already really great game and one of my favs from last year. Yuffie DLC is nicely paced and really fun. Brings back the hype for Part 2 which hopefully will be announced in not too long.

    Excellent upgrade to a fantastic game. Dlc is well worth it. It improves some aspects of the combat from the main game and the side quests are more enjoyable in the dlc as well.

    Final Fantasy VII Remake was my first game in the series and the Intergrade version is the definitive way to experience this game.
    Here are my thoughts on Final Fantasy VII Remake:
    The story is good in my opinion and even though the ending is divisive, I liked it personally and I think that it's too early to criticize it. The characters are some of the most engaging and likable characters    Final Fantasy VII Remake was my first game in the series and the Intergrade version is the definitive way to experience this game.
    Here are my thoughts on Final Fantasy VII Remake:
    The story is good in my opinion and even though the ending is divisive, I liked it personally and I think that it's too early to criticize it.
    The characters are some of the most engaging and likable characters I've seen in a while, and even some minor side-characters surprised me a lot.
    The combat system is excellent! It's like a combination of Hack 'n' Slash & Turn Based at the same time, there are 4 completely different party members to control, tons of different skills, items and builds to use, it's deep and organic, it feels awesome and it looks phenomenal! The RPG elements are executed well and the Materia system is just wonderful.
    The bosses are some of the best I've ever encountered in a videogame.
    The music is fantastic for sure and it fits the visuals perfectly, and the visuals are breathtaking; the lighting, the animations, the textures and the setting are some of the best I've seen in a while.
    Also, the set pieces and the visual representation are absolutely top-tier! Some cutscenes look like they are out of a CGI movie and there are so many jaw-dropping moments.
    Lastly, the Intergrade version includes the INTERmission DLC, which is a cool addition to get to know an upcoming character for the Remake series.
    I do have few minor complaints with the game though; some chapters feel significantly longer than they should've been, and the side-quests are uninteresting for the most part.

    Pros:
    + Interesting story
    + Awesome characters
    + Flawless gameplay
    + Incredible music & boss fights
    + Absolutely gorgeous visuals
    + Outstanding set pieces
    + DLC

    Cons:
    - Pacing issues in some instances
    - Weak side-quests

    Final Fantasy VII Remake isn't just a masterfully crafted Remake, but it's undoubtedly one of my favorite games on the PS4 and PS5, and one of the best videogame experiences I've ever had.

    I played it on ps4, now I am replaying it on ps5. This game proves how a Remake has to be done. Soundtrack, dialogues, voices, humanization of characters, you fall in love with every single piece of this game. Battles are incredibles, the combos, weapon upgrades, everything so well made. It's definitely on my top 10 of all time (and I played a lot of games).

    This new update of final fantasy 7 remake on ps4, plays on ps5 is incredible. The graphics, the smoke effects, and i feel like it almost like a remastered version of final fantasy 7 remake.

    Fantastic reimagining of the introducting hours to the original. Gameplay is tight and varied. There is enough here to keep you busy a while. If you are an old fan, it'll still dazzle at how it balances nostalgia and innovation. If you are new to FFVII, welcome.

    So I didn't play the PS4 version of FFVII Remake. But the jump from FFVII 1997 to FFVII Remake Intergrade is a gigantic leap and it looks and plays incredible. I can't wait for part II!

    I'm actually speechless, this game is absolutely incredible. it's bigger and better than the original in every possible way, a huge improvement when it comes to the visuals, gameplay, animations, character models and pretty much everything you can think of.

    I'm going to start with the gameplay first, well what can I say, oh my freaking god, arguably the best combat system i've ever seen in a videogame to date, the mix of Turn Based with Real Time Action is honestly flawless, it works perfectly and it feels very satisfying. The materia system is amazing, there is a lot of customization, it's easy to use and understand and makes the combat so unique and enjoyable. Also the boss fights are insane, there are so many of them, and they are quite challenging, you can't really play mindlessly and expect to win easily, you actually need patience and strategy to beat them, and I really liked that.

    Now when it comes to the characters, I think they're great, they have likeable personalities and slowly develop pretty well, their designs are fantastic and memorable, and you really get to bond with them which makes you feel like you're part of the team.

    It's worth to mention that the game is actually very big, the world feels alive despite being limited, you can just get lost in it. There is a lot of content, side quests, various minigames, VR missions and rewarding activities, so many things to do and places to explore, it's a pretty long experience and it's also very replayable, trying out new builds and doing the challenges is very fun.

    As for the main story, it starts pretty tame but things go wild quick, and even though it drags quite a bit later on, there are so many spectacles in it, some of the cutscenes are just cinematic masterpieces, everything looks gorgeous.
    The only issue I have with the story is the writing and some of the dialogue, it's pretty interesting for the most part, but it can get quite weak sometimes, some plot points aren't explained well and don't really make sense either, the story is clearly unfinished and I'm hoping the sequels do a decent job at explaining few things. I respect the fact that the writers managed to surpass our expectations by altering parts of the overarching story, it's a very risky but ambitious thing to do, and I really want them to nail it and achieve their goal. Overall I like the story a lot, and I believe that it's only going to get better from now on, I'm very excited to see how everything turns out in the end.

    Lastly, I really need to mention the stellar soundtrack, it's just so beautiful, one of the most iconic and magical soundtracks in a JRPG ever.

    It really is an outstanding videogame, It's not only an improved version of the original Final Fantasy VII, but it stands on its own very well. I would go as far to say that this is the definitive Remake, and the best Remake I've ever played.

    I just finished the game. I can simply say the game is outstanding in every aspect. At first, i felt kind of lost , but when you progress through the game you will understand the story . I don't want to spoil the story but anyway the game worth it . One of the best game i have played so far

    A masterpiece. In my opinion the best gameplay Final Fantasy has ever had. Its so good. One of my favourite games of all time. Cant wait for the next parts of the remake.

    Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is a complete package, telling the story of Midgar from two different perspectives. Both the main campaign following Cloud and his journey, and Yuffie's own adventure, are well told with tight and responsive gameplay along with an impressive graphical update. These tales each leave exciting questions to be answered, and this reviewer can't wait to see what awaits Cloud and his friends beyond the City of Mako.

    Final Fantasy Remake Intergrade is technically impressive. Fixing many of the original release’s technical issues while also improving the game for next-gen hardware. INTERmission offers an excellent character edition with that of Yuffie with some excellent gameplay to boot. Intergrade is simply more of the best parts of Final Fantasy VII Remake.
