Jun 13, 2023In what it proposes, F1 23 is virtually perfect. Keeping the graphic strength and refinement of mechanics that worked well in the previous game, it brought back a narrative mode that, along with an interface overhaul and quality of life, only improves what was already amazing.
-
Jun 16, 2023It only remains to say that it is one of the best racing games made to date and without a doubt the most outstanding in the world of Formula 1, since it is faithful to its roots, maintains its essence, as well as adding new features such as the exciting and deep F1 World mode and the long-awaited return of the Braking Point narrative production.
-
Jun 13, 2023With more content than ever before and news ways to engage, F1 23 is Codemasters’ best Formula One game to date – and maybe even the developer’s best racing game ever. New mechanics and car physics make this game a joy to play and F1 World is shaping up to be a fantastic addition to the series moving forward.
-
Jun 13, 2023F1 23 improves upon the status quo while injecting updates to the cars, two new circuits, and a more complex story campaign for the 2023 season.
-
Jun 13, 2023F1 23 is pretty much a faultless racing experience. While its career mode may be lacking in innovations this year, the return of Braking Point and the new F1 World mode more than make up for it. Add in other improvements and features, and you have what is undoubtedly the best F1 game yet. If you’re an F1 fan this is an absolute must-buy as usual, but even racing game fans in general would be wise to add this to their collection. With its wealth of content, brilliant handling and sublime presentation, F1 23 is simply racing at its finest.
-
Jun 13, 2023EA Sports F1 23 is an improvement on last year, bringing back the enjoyable Braking Point story, and providing better control on the track.
-
Jun 13, 2023EA Sports and Codemasters deliver another great outing oft he F1-series. F1 23 deliver tons of gameplay- thanks to the addition of Braking Point 2 and F1 World. Longtime-F1-players will be disappointed due to the lack of new features in the career-mode however.
-
Jul 4, 2023F1 23 is the best F1 game, with amazing new physics, better driving and tires, and a great story campaign. The new F1 World mode is a truly addictive and fun multiplayer experience. Even with the career remaining the same, its gameplay resembles something close to the actual F1 experience. I hope microtransactions don’t get added in the future.
-
Jun 26, 2023There’s no doubt that the F1 series feels like a yearly iterative experience, but Codemasters has done an outstanding job with F1 23 because it improves upon last year’s title in almost every way. The increased accessibility options, enhanced driving mechanics, and welcome return of the Braking Point story mode are all steps in the right direction for the Formula 1 gaming community.
-
Jun 20, 2023F1 23 covers a lot of bases. The 2023 version offers a variety of ways to play the game depending on your skill level and preferences. It is a good iteration for newcomers to jump into and the greater depth of options will satisfy the needs of veterans.
-
Jun 18, 2023F1 23 has managed to become the best game of the series with its innovations. A production that will satisfy F1 fans with its driving dynamics, story mode and new features.
-
Jun 17, 2023F1 23 brings back the excitement to the series after a joyless F1 22. The Braking Point sequel is a hit, and you can easily see the improvements both visually and in gameplay. These guys know how to do Formula 1 games, and it's nice to see them doing a great job again. It's a must-have for the fans.
-
Jun 13, 2023F1 23 is an amazing racing game for Formula 1 fans but it fails to take the extra mile.
-
Jun 13, 2023F1 23 is one of those games that manages to make you love even more a genre that you already liked a lot, or even didn't like. Few titles can boast of this, and that shows that this work is a true game within the driving and simulation genre.
-
Jun 14, 2023F1 23 improves and expands almost everything from the previous iteration of the series, from the driving model to the physics of the single-seaters, even the multiple game modes are now – finally – abundant.
-
Jun 20, 2023With the sport growing rapidly, and no intentions of slowing down, ‘F1 23’ continues the yearly release, but gives the player a good experience. Whether you’re a total rookie on the controller or a pro on your Fanatec wheel. ‘F1 23’ is a fun time overall. There is a little bit of ‘clutter’ at times. You feel like you’re having to sort through a lot to even just mess around at Montreal in a quick race, but the overall racing experience is gonna give you your fix. I will say that if you’re a hardcore sim racing driver, then this might be a pass for you. However, ‘F1 23’ is still worth your time on track.
-
PLAYSep 17, 2023An involved, improved story mode and the progression-based F1 World complement the exemplary career. It’s the best year-on- year update since F1 2013. [Issue#30, p.96]
-
Sep 6, 2023The annual entry of Formula 1 game is, as expected, an update and not an evolution for the series. Be that as it may, it offers a mesmerizing driving experience, accompanied by a well-made and lengthy career mode that would definitely keep the fans occupied until the inevitable F1 24.
-
Jul 31, 2023The new American backers of motorsport's king class know damn well what they're doing. After the documentary series Formula 1: Drive to Survive on Netflix brought a touch of drama to the paddock, winning heaps of new souls for the sport, F1 23 does it again nicely. With Braking point 2, the story mode in the new game, even gamers who previously had little with F1 have something to lick their thumbs and fingers at.
-
Jul 18, 2023The new benchmark for the Codemasters saga? F1 23 via the breath of EA Sports releases the best vintage in terms of content for the license, especially thanks to the addition of the F1 World mode. Even if you are not really well guided towards the latter, it will fill many hours of your time with its many well-renewed challenges and quests. A lack now filled for the Formula 1 saga, which is still going around in circles in the animations and its technical rendering. The 2023 opus is a great gateway to the world of single-seaters, with the bonus of the continuation of Point de Rupture, the rather interesting Drive to Survive scenario.
-
Jul 17, 2023F1 23 doesn't revolutionize the genre or innovate, but Codemasters and EA Sports undoubtedly bring once again an entertaining, solid and successful racing simulator. If you have never played F1, this can be a good title to get you started in the genre.
-
Jun 26, 2023Overall, F1 23 is a strong return to form for Codemasters. F1 23 excels at providing a diverse and exciting racing experience for players of all kinds, and steers away from the predatory practices that were starting to seep in with F1 22. It's well worth playing on its own, and is hopefully a sign of even greater things to come in the future.
-
Jun 26, 2023F1 23 is a case of evolution rather than revolution. It improves many aspects of its predecessor, most notably the feel of controller play and car physics that represent real-life Formula One as well as any game has. There’s still areas to improve, but only the most finicky F1 fan won’t be impressed by the exceptionally immersive racing experience Codemasters have created.
-
Jun 24, 2023While the last year’s game was a transitional release, this year’s sequel brings a spectacle-filed singleplayer campaign and ambitious focus on more live service challenges and professional league racing. While it does not master all aspects of its driving and presentation, it is another in the line of very solid racing titles from Codemasters that can satisfy both longtime fans and newcomers alike.
-
Jun 21, 2023F1 23 is a good evolutionary step forward for the series. The returning Braking Point story mode offers an enjoyable narrative with mixed up racing challenges, while F1 World brings together solo challenges, multiplayer events and car evolution in an interesting, if not yet essential way. The most significant step forward comes with the revised car physics and handling, which can still punish your mistakes, but makes racing without assists far more accessible.
-
Jun 20, 2023F1 23 is back and compared to F1 22 it offers a lot more. F1 Life has been exchanged for a more sensible F1 World that is full of activities. Braking Point is back, although it's full of irritating characters and otherwise the gameplay is a lot better thanks to tweaks and the addition of Precision Drive, which gives players the option to set a much more refined control scheme in regard to direct input. At the same time, we see little innovation in the career mode and the animations of the drivers could use a major upgrade. Other than that, a fine racer.
-
Jun 18, 2023It may not be remembered as one of the best titles in the series, but F1 23 has many arrows to its bow. From the driving model to the red flags, Codemasters has made an effort to make its simulation more accessible and fun without distorting its soul too much. The return of Braking Point mode is appreciable, while the addition of the F1 World hub is ideal for those looking for a quick challenge and who like to race online. Graphics, AI, and Career mode are aging badly and needing a refresh.
-
Jun 17, 2023F1 23 is another improvement over the previous game, with refined mechanics and new experiences that will please any racing fan. Not only that, but it makes it clear that upcoming games in the F1 franchise cannot be lacking in content that generates more engagement, hitting the nail on the head with F1 World and, most importantly, Braking Point 2. Any new F1 game that does not have these features will be considered a step backwards.
-
Jun 14, 2023F1 23 makes welcome changes and additions to the series with the most beneficial being the racing. My Team, Career and Two-Player Career have surface updates, but is largely the same. The new icons in the Champions Edition aren’t much to write home about outside of Nigel Mansell. I don’t think many would clamor to have Pastor Maldonado as a teammate. F1 World is a surprising addition that adds a whole new element to the series while Braking Point 2 is a good follow up if you’re in the mood for some drama. The team did include the Supercars again, but it’s buried in F1 World and the cars are exactly the same. There are still no classic cars or track options, which was a great addition but has been phased out in recent years. Also, a lack of a PSVR2 version when PC has VR is disappointing. The best element still comes with the actual updates to the racing physics and how the car behaves. F1 23 is a solid improvement in some regards over F1 22, but one can question if it’s enough.
-
Jun 14, 2023Accessibility is the watchword of F1 23. Codemasters has not limited itself to the homework and has rearranged the driving model to make it less unpredictable and, above all, more suitable for those who do not compete with the wheel and pedals. The return of the Braking Point mode and the renewed F1 World hub add even more substance to an excellent content offer. The graphics/physics engine is starting to show some signs of aging but is still valid. The ups and downs of the AI are unfortunately still part of the experience, but on the other hand the multiplayer sector has been redesigned and should satisfy all players a little. This incarnation is ultimately good: in the future, however, we expect Codemasters to take more clear steps forward for the series.
-
Jun 14, 2023F1 23 is a solidly packed racing experience that improves upon its predecessor in almost every way. With a little something for everyone, on top of an immersive and impressive experience on PS5, it's a worthwhile addition to the libraries of enthusiasts and casuals alike. We loved how tailormade the game could become, whether that was a heavily assisted racing experience, or a brutally immersive one. The campaign doesn’t always hit the mark, and F1 World while expansive isn’t exactly revolutionary, but at the very least, it’s nice to see Formula 1 get the same care and attention that many other popular sports games have been receiving for years.
-
Jun 13, 2023F1 23 is a fast-paced thrill-ride plunging you into the extraordinary world of Formula One. Braking Point 2 is a huge success, and while other elements of the game have barely changed, the gameplay itself is as addictive as it is enthralling.
-
Jun 13, 2023F1 23 is a fantastic entry to the perennial Formula 1 experience. Driving is polished on both wheel and controller, and the visual experience is second to none.
-
Jun 13, 2023Another cutting edge F1 simulator, with a great single-player story mode and a more accessible range of options and modes than ever before.
-
Jun 13, 2023There’s a lot packed into F1 23 for fans of the motorsport, as well as more casual sim racing fans. This year’s release brings back the surprisingly compelling Braking Point campaign alongside immersive, highly customizable career modes full of decision-making and driver and team development. Throw in the all-encompassing F1 World mode and you’ve got a feature-rich package that’s sure to please most racing fans.
-
Jun 14, 2023After the somewhat scant F1 22, F1 23 is back in the right gear. Braking Point 2 is an enrichment, small tweaks to the gameplay keep the racing fresh, while EA's experience drips from the online content. Enough for an eight minus, but if F1 wants to score big eights and nines again, a major MOT service is needed.
-
Jun 27, 2023With big improvements, yet still some solid flaws, F1 2023 comes up pretty strong but still with a lot of room to grow.
-
Jun 13, 2023Braking Point 2.0 does offer some solid (if sometimes cringe-inducing) drama, the driving mechanics and presentation continue to impress, and generally, to an outlier, this is one fabulous F1 game. However, resting on your laurels only gets you so far, and F1 23 has failed to move the needle in regards to making F1 games even more compelling than they already are. By all means, pick up and relish another core EA and Codemasters F1 outing, but it's time the series stopped playing it safe and gave us something audaciously new.
