The handling in this game is greatly improved. That there alone makes it a superior experience to the last F1 game. I couldn't stand those garbage boat handling physics from F1 22. I couldn't stand those garbage boat handling physics from F1 22. Speaking of which, the supercars handling remain unchanged. They still feel like boats and make that weird acceleration noise. Yeah I get it, it's a bonus feature but that doesn't excuse the supercars being lazily designed. They either get it right or get rid of that stupid gimmick. I complained about the lack of story mode in F1 22 and the developers actually listened. While F1 23 Braking Point story is pretty mediocre, I can at least say I enjoyed it more than the typical arty farty "I'm so miserable" trash like TLOU and TLOU: Kratos Edition.

The multiplayer is better now thanks to the improved traction. On top of that, I didn't experience all those connection issues like F1 22. Although, this game is pretty much the same as the last. The $70 price tag is outrageous. I have also experienced some bugs and a few pop-in issues. While facial animations are AAA quality, there are some unnatural expressions in the cutscenes. Speaking of which, it infuriates me that a greedy company like EA can put so much effort in cutscenes and voice acting in a freaking F1 game than most full-priced games this generation. It just goes to show how greedy and lazy the video game industry has gotten. I would recommend this game until it's like less than $30.

Well, so I bought this series every year on release day, this year the time has come where I am waiting for a Sales offer…the point which made me very angry was that we still drive around with that old crappy engine from, I don`t know really, 2015? When you compare this game graphics to GT7, those games coming from different centuries. Then the next point…those bugs, seriously there are bugs which were already existing in 2020, so they copy pasted them over and over again…this is such weak quality work, this makes me just angry, seriously. I love the F1 so much, but I cannot stand a full price game with such low quality. As everyone is cheering the handling, I will buy it, but on a later stage, after some patches and a reasonable discount. Then why on earth they not work a bit on the Career part, the most important part of a game like this as online is broken anyway and F1 world or life or whatever is called is just useless. Someone has to sign up that game at the end that they reach “gold” status, I don`t know how this person can keep his job when there are several known issues again and again and that game. In regards to the biggest new feature “Red Flag”…great, all recommendations lead to “switch off” as it is broken Expand

Exactly the same since F1 2020, but the physics was very nice and updated this year in controller and Logitech G29.

I am surprised that people are giving this game such reasonable reviews. As with any game EA Sports get their hands on, it is a buggy and unfinished lazy mess. As with any game EA Sports get their hands on, it is a buggy and unfinished lazy mess. Career Mode and My Team, the two most popular modes have been copied and pasted to the exact minor detail other than a couple of cutscenes which haven't even been optimised properly. Red Flags, which were disgustingly sold as a big new feature despite being such a minute and necessary thing for an F1 Game to have, do not even work properly, with race results being destroyed by their inclusion. I would love to know how it is acceptable to release a game at such steep prices when it so incomplete? This error can not have been an oversight, the game was released knowing full well the issue existed. Furthermore the game seems to be heading in a direction where EA Sports can extract the most amount of profit out of users (As with the majority of their games), with useless customisation options also costing real money. On a slight positive note the handling of cars has improved and allows controller players a better experience. Breaking Point was a strange inclusion following its absence in last years game, and is incredibly underwhelming, with most challenges involving the same mindless script. I do wonder wether this game mode was intended for last years game as I find it baffling not one of the challenges involves a red flag, seeing the importance they placed on it. I hold my breath on F1 World as for the time being it seems like a decent concept and one of the only reasons this score isn't lower. However it reminds me of Ultimate Team modes on other EA Sports games and I hate to think in what way this may be heading given the company's track record of micro transactions. In my opinion steer well clear of F1 23 unless the corrected drivers and liveries are worth £70 of importance to you. Expand

This game is the same as last year, except of new reactions of the curbs and an overpowered traction, compared to the ia. Breaking point is useless, boring and cringe, the objectives are the same in all the story. There are the new car skins and new transfers but nothing else.
This game in not worth 80 € at all.

All in all, F1 23 is the perfect jumping-on point for any would-be racing enthusiast considering investigating the Codemasters-developed series. With a remarkable sense of detail and unmatched controls across the franchise, the learning curve isn’t quite as steep with upgrades that ultimately help to stabilize the handling of the vehicles on the track as well as measured difficulty options. Additionally, there’s a wondrous sense of community as the popularity of the sport reaches new heights in the 2023 season. And with this latest release, there’s plenty of content to sink your teeth into between the campaign and both single and multiplayer challenges within F1 World. F1 23 is poised to be the biggest entry in the series yet.

F1 2023 has great controls and good graphics, but I'm disappointed by the lack of PSVR 2 support. It's available on PC, so why not on PS5?

The handeling is great, but unfortunately no changes to the Career or My Team modes. There is however a great emphasis on microtransactions in typical EA fashion.

The red flags are back after 9 years, but they are gliched and bring nothing new apart from changing tyres. It's the same thing, just packaged in a different way for another 70$....

An involved, improved story mode and the progression-based F1 World complement the exemplary career. It’s the best year-on- year update since F1 2013. [Issue#30, p.96]

The annual entry of Formula 1 game is, as expected, an update and not an evolution for the series. Be that as it may, it offers a mesmerizing driving experience, accompanied by a well-made and lengthy career mode that would definitely keep the fans occupied until the inevitable F1 24.

The new American backers of motorsport's king class know damn well what they're doing. After the documentary series Formula 1: Drive to Survive on Netflix brought a touch of drama to the paddock, winning heaps of new souls for the sport, F1 23 does it again nicely. With Braking point 2, the story mode in the new game, even gamers who previously had little with F1 have something to lick their thumbs and fingers at.
