The game is awesome, but here is a thing you need to know.
This not a sophisticated simulation like Elite Dangerous or Star Citizen, with a deep realistic gameplay.
Everspace 2 is on the arcadish side, with a fun and simple gameplay. That said, if you miss games like Freelancer or Dark Star One, you really should consider to give it a try.

This game is truly a hidden gem - I did not expect this good of a game. Excellent combat, interesting story, and easy to learn mechanics. I would recommend this to anyone. Casual friendly too.

A breath of fresh air in the RPG world. Fast hectic combat, looter shooter with a great comic book style story.

Beautiful visuals with a difficulty which is challenging at first but once you get your head around it remains difficult but manageable (played on hard difficulty).

One of the better games I have played in years. Nice to play something different. Give it a go!

Great graphismes and gameplay. Lot of things to do. Should really try it if you're into open world RPGs in space ambiance.

An incredible blend of the space combat and open-world RPG genres that is accessible, immensely fun and visually stunning.

Everspace 2's most glaring flaws are easily forgivable, in my mind - occasional frame dips, some poor voice acting, a so-so narrative and occasionally tedious puzzle-solving are afterthoughts when considering just how much fun it is to trick out your starfighter,

If you enjoy Diablo, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron or any games that bear resemblance to those two games, I believe Everspace 2 will leave you overjoyed and glued to your chair. Rockfish should be commended for crafting a wonderfully refined and enjoyable video game that I have clocked nearly 100 hours on, and I look forward to investing many more hours into it in the coming weeks.

I started Everspace 2 deeply unsure about a space looter shooter. Tens of hours later I don’t want to play anything else. Everspace 2 is a towering achievement of space-based thrills and spills. It absolutely deserves your attention.

Everspace 2 has a solid narrative, great arcade-style flight and combat mechanics, and an addictive explore, loot, and fight gameplay loop. That was true on the PC and it’s just as true on consoles. Everspace 2 is proof that an unexpected genre mashup like looter/shooter and space combat can play nicely together.

Everspace 2 is a fairly polished experience that really feeds the compulsion to find more loot. Space combat is fluid and easy to comprehend, although potentially disorientating. I do find the storytelling can make the characters feel distant from one another but the overall plot had me intrigued. The grand expanse from space has been somewhat segmented but the scale on display is still admirable and there's a cool sci-fi vibe to all of it.
