    This game was a joy to play, the main character was great and the voice actor did a great job. The game play was fun with different ways to approach different situations. Based on the trailers wasn't sure what to expect for sure, but was a pleasant surprise nonetheless.

    This game is stunningly detailed, The gameplay is smooth a polished, the story is fun and easy to pick up yet with subtle details you pick up along the way that add alot of depth to each of the 8 Visionaries as your relationship to all of em.     This game is a lot of fun and an interesting take on Immersive Sims. At face value repeating the same maps over and over again can sound like it will get boring, but it doesn't. Each map changes based on the time of day, keeping them from feeling static. Every loop is a chance to improve your approach and change up your weapons/powers/equipment. In Deathloop you are completely free to try any approach you want because even if it doesn't go to plan you'll have another shot the next day. Throw in the random invasions from Juliana and every loop feels unique.

    The story is fun and engaging, however the ending feels rushed, leaving you wishing there had been a little more time spent wrapping things up. There are a few bugs, most notably a menu lockup that can happen (I experienced it twice during my playthrough). When this happens during a run you will lose all progress on the current map (the game only saves between maps). This was a little frustrating, but it's something I'm sure will be fixed soon.    … Expand

    Este juego es muy Impresionante... Me recuerda mucho a Dishonored en ciertas mecánicas, la gráficos, la Historia es bastante sólida y profunda. Tiene una traducción al español muy buena. Este estudio tiene un Gran Futuro,muy Bien por la gente de Arkan Studios

    The added multiplayer function of this game is something I really like. It can be punishing to play the level and then be killed and have to loop back to do it again, but you then get to find new ways to approach the level. Deathloop has been a great experience for me so far and look forward to the rest of the game.

    Super fun game. Had a couple of crashing issues but really enjoyed my time with Deathloop! The music is absolutely fantastic.

    The game is amazing and fun! The characters (Colt and Julianna) are charismatic and the plot is slightly immersive! The art direction is spectacular, mainly for the cutscenes...and the soundtrack too! The gameplay is great and I didn't have any problems. It had been a while since I had fun like this.

    Great game and arkanes best. If you like fun fps single player with stealth and interesting level design then this is for you. This is not call of duty tho.

The ending is horribly short and anticlimactic, the illusion of freedom is breaking the game, there is only 1 (!) simple dumb enemy type in the game, the invasion mechanic gets annoying after the 10th time. IMPORTANT: there unfortunately is only 1 route/way to play/finish this game (unlike Dishnonnored), which is misguiding when lookingIt is a very stylish but also very frustrating game. Not to mention the innumerable performance issues (don’t know about PS5 version, but in PC is a bit of a mess), the gameplay and the story aren’t nothing new. So in conclusion: terrible performance, reductive story and Ok gameplay and combat …Bought it expecting the revolutionary experience that IGN and all the other “specialized” outlets were going on about and boy was I disappointed!!!!     And yes, the publications as one forget to tell about the sh^tty plot, bad graphics and style, a disappointing ending and the    Deathloop gets 10 out of 10 from Gamespot, IGN and other popular titles.     Easily the best Arkane game, extremely well-written story and gameplay that combines the best of Prey and Dishonored with some of the best characters and dialogue ever in a video game. Also makes excellent use of the PS5’s Dualsense features. Extremely replayable and can’t wait for a second run.

    Deathloop is a great amalgimation of Arkane Studio's ideas over the years. You can find a little of something from all their games in this title. You have Dishonored's stealth mechanics, abilities and unique style, Wolfenstein's excellent gunplay, Prey's storytelling with themes of memory and consequences. It all boils together into an impressive and unique title that really makes youDeathloop is a great amalgimation of Arkane Studio's ideas over the years. You can find a little of something from all their games in this title. You have Dishonored's stealth mechanics, abilities and unique style, Wolfenstein's excellent gunplay, Prey's storytelling with themes of memory and consequences. It all boils together into an impressive and unique title that really makes you feel like a detective as you try to break the loop. Colt and Julianna's back and forth is amazing and natural, and really pits them as quite impressive rivals of each other with different goals. My favorite part is they both make excellent points to support both of their arguments, leaving it up to the player as to who is right. Solving the loop and figuring out the puzzle of how to kill all of the Visionaries is fantastic, and the infusion system making it so you don't have to completely start over from scratch like in Returnal makes the formulaic looping not get boring or frustrating. My main issue with the game though is the levels themselves. There are only four with differences between the same levels depending on the day which isn't too bad, however I feel that when it comes to this type of game they need to be REALLY interesting. Arkane has amazing level design and that didn't change here, but it didn't show to be exemplary. They are intricate, but other than Updaam they didn't really feel unique or crazy. Dishonored 2 had amazingly unique levels like The Clockwerk Mansion or Jindosh's Mansion where you were jumping between two worlds in time or you would pull a switch to change the entire layout of a room. That just didn't happen with a lot of areas in this game. As for the multiplayer component I will admit I didn't really have an interest in using it, and so the AI Julianna I ran into was either too difficult and killed you immediately or too easy and didn't offer the scary challenge it should be. That is my decision for playing single-player but it should've been developed so she didn't feel like any other NPC. Another issue I had was that I didn't really feel like I had the 'choice' to go in guns blazing like they implied. It isn't as 'play-your-own-way' as they imply. You need to play into the stealth a little bit because NPC's mow you down. And while there are health drinks and stations around, you don't actually have any medkits to heal on the fly so you can take damage and stay in the fight. That would've been something to look into including, since health regeneration only does so much. Having to connect to Bethesda's Launcher, I did find it annoying because I connected the wrong account and there is no way to easily unlink it sothat is fun, but it didn't count against my score. Playing as Julianna is fun too, especially if you go into it as a long-play and don't try to just kill Colt immediately head-on a few times. It emphasizes you playing Julianna as stealthy as you can rather than fighting Colt head-on, and offering outfits for ranking up instead of forcing microtransactions was a nice change of pace, especially with how nice they all look. Overall though this is a very creative and unique stealth game with good gameplay and some issues going on regarding the level design and AI but has a lot of fantastic redeeming qualities.… Expand

Game sold as next gen but next gen has absolutely nothing. Copy and paste many bioshock and dishonored mechanics. Though if you're like me and are a bit of a completionist, I would recommend putting those urges on hold until you've completed at least 1 day-cycle and gain the ability to keep certain items of your choosing. At the end of the first day, you will be forced to lose all your items, so don't even worry about exploration until then.

    I did have a few bugs, I    Overall, I like this game a lot.     The gameplay mechanics are great, I like this new take on gaming which encourages thinking in combination with desstruction, but I suspect that the gameplay might become repetitive, we'll see.    … Expand

    As a big single-player fps fan, this game is a bunch of fun, with one big letdown that drags the score down from a 9 or 10 out of 10 game to a solid 8/10. If you like yourself some BioShock, Halo or any other fps single-player game (heard its a lot like dishonored also from arkane, which I haven't personally played) then death loop is definitely worthwhile for £50 GBP or less.

    I love it. I'm about 16 hours in and I'm having a blast. I have looped so, so many times, and I'm not mad about it. I almost look forward to it, so I can take out enemies better the next time. At first I was completely lost, not gonna lie. The first time I looped I was like, "Are kidding me?". But, then the game started coming together, and really pulling me toward my next goal. Now I findI love it. I'm about 16 hours in and I'm having a blast. I have looped so, so many times, and I'm not mad about it. I almost look forward to it, so I can take out enemies better the next time. At first I was completely lost, not gonna lie. The first time I looped I was like, "Are kidding me?". But, then the game started coming together, and really pulling me toward my next goal. Now I find myself using my resources, and super powers, also the environment. (Which is gorgeous by the way) I am loving the characters, and the character interactions. It's genuinely hilarious, with great dialog, and quirky banter. I find myself laughing at random moments just listening to everyone talk. I could go on and on about this game. Ultimately, it's great, fun, and challenging. Who knew starting a day over and over again could be so compelling. I am really having a lot of fun, and I can't wait to finish so I can do it again. I definitely recommend it.… Expand

    You begin as Colt Vahn, a man on an island stuck in a timeloop that he is trying to break. There's no other information, and everything you learn is from exploring Blackreef. The game can be played a few different ways. If you'd like to use Colt's powers and blow through a level like you're playing Doom, you    Deathloop is a very creative game, and right now, is the best game on PS5.

    You begin as Colt Vahn, a man on an island stuck in a timeloop that he is trying to break. There's no other information, and everything you learn is from exploring Blackreef.

    The game can be played a few different ways. If you'd like to use Colt's powers and blow through a level like you're playing Doom, you can. If you want to treat the game like a stealth sandbox a kin to MGS, you can also do that. Colt is very customizable, and you will be able to switch back and forth very easily at different points in the game to fit your needs.

    The art style and music are great, and help to create a unique atmosphere around the game.

    The game's progression is also very rewarding, borrowing elements from the game's rogue-like peers, while still being a mostly narrative based game. The game has some metroid-vania like elements, and does a great job playing with the idea of the loop bringing Colt back every day.

    The gunplay won't blow your mind, but it's much better than the game's main contemporary on next-gen, Hitman 3.

    I gave the game a 9, since I really enjoyed the 20 hours I put into it. The pacing is good, the art style is unique, and Blackreef is a solid sandbox.    … Expand

    Its an absolute masterpiece and should have played title on PS5!! Nice gameplay, aiming, weapon handling etc. and a really funny sort of humor. So hope you‘ll enjoy :)
    Great game. Nothing groundbreaking in terms of gunplay, AI etc but the way the different elements of the gameplay mesh together make it greater than sum of its parts.

    Reviewers that are giving this game 10/10 should be fired, because it doesn't even come close to perfection. I'm enjoying myself and it has some unique elements to it, but please stop acting like this is one of the best games the world has ever seen. The loading times are quite long, graphics look dated and the AI is brain death.

The only difference is that you can only equip two at a time (and only four trinkets) which was a huge letdown for me. It's a real bad time when you find a cool new power that is slightly less useful than your current one and you have to leave one behind. Or you realize a situation would be easier with a certain power or trinket that you didn't bring along on the mission. I understand that it is a difficulty and strategy mechanic, but it makes the game less fun and more frustrating.

    If, like me, this compels you to collect all of the slabs and weapons in order to complete all of the leads-then this is a very repetitive experience. There may be quite a few (sometimes frustrating) main targets, but there are only four levels with minor variations depending on the time of day.     Great game! The design of the levels and the many different ways to play the game your way makes it a welcome entry into the rogue-like genre. Lots of reasons to retrace your steps and look for everything that may be hidden on each level. Highly recommend.

The game play isn’t revolutionary and is very much like dishonored. The guns are cool and the powers feel great to use however there’s not many of them thus you are left feeling like you’ve hit your load out sweet spot early on.
    The core gameplay and gunplay does feel good although it feels a little sluggish if you are used to something like cod.
    The art style is cool although not a showcase for ps5. Everything is crisp and sharp by design but isn’t a show stopper. The AI is pretty poor. NPCs don’t see you when they should and rush you unrealistically when they do.
    That being said the game is very good due to all the aspects of the game connecting well and just feeling right. Story is cool and very clever however you have to put in a bit of work to understand everything going on, it’s not spoon fed to you.
    I’m having a blast with it and I think 8 is a fair score. Definitely not a 10. Pick it up and give it a try. If you connect with it quickly you’ll find it rewarding and probably finish it if you don’t then you’ll probably give up pretty soon after starting.    … Expand

    Fantastic game. My only complaint is it can be quite confusing sometimes with clues and stuff all over the screen. People that complain about the graphics have obviously never played dishonored. It's just the way Arkane games look...

    Amazing game. From the gunplay to the powers to the lived-in world of blackreef, everything feels and looks top notch. The characters are all fantastically voice acted and their development is paced phenomenally. Most importantly, the game is just so much fun to play.

This may be because I felt like with each in game day I had objectives to complete across multiple areas and I always accomplished at least one.     I would suggest ignoring the people giving this a bad review. This game is really enjoyable. I have had no bugs or issues with the game. The controls are easy. The graphics are very nice, and the voice acting is great. The lines in the game are funny. I would highly recommend this game.

    Highly enjoyable stealth focused game. The AI could use some improvement, but that being said if you make a poor choice you can easily be overwhelmed and killed. The PVP aspect is incredibly fun and works really well.

    It's ripe with story, it's messy, as it should be. You are in a time loop. Information has been spread out for a long time. No body cares because it'll just be same tomorrow. You have to price it together just like colt (your character) Its a fun and engaging. Read everything twice and plan the best way to finally break the loop.

    i finished the game it was so easy. Once you unlock some things like invisibility or multi-kill it's very boring. It's really doesn't worth the money. I don't understand why IGN gave it a 10/10 Masterpiece. This game is crap!

    Everything is so unnatural. In fact, it's that bad that I can't really play the game for more than half an hour without getting motion sick. After days of playing, I slightly adapted. But the controls still feel like sh*t. This is absolutely not acceptable. How did reviewers give this game anything above a 8? It could be as fun as possible but these controls ruin everything.

    After you've gone through the first minutes and accepted the controls are terrible, you encounter something that's EVEN WORSE: The AI.

    I don't get how you could make the AI that stupid, unaware and predictable. You can walk straight past the AI, they won't notice you. Shoot people, they won't notice you. Shoot explosives into the ground next to them, they won't notice. It's that bad. Yet the AI is like everything the game has to offer? It's like start cycle, go there, slaughter AI, do X, go there, slaughter AI, do X, and so on, ..., repeat cycle, and slaughter them again. Yet killing them is the most boring, unrewarding and most unengaging gameplay you could ever imagine. The AI is so bad, you can just run through every area and just kill them as if it's cod, without any consequences. And that's not even bad, that's the only thing that's actually fun doing in the game.

    Now to the good things, respect where it's due you know:

    The characters and voice acting are amazing! They're absolutely spot on and the only thing that make this game enjoyable. Also the games design & music is actually amazing, even though the 3D audio and Graphics are very lackluster. Also gotta give credit to making use of the Dualsense. It's far from being as great as in Astros playroom or returnal, but at least makes the game a little bit more enjoyable.

    But as these are the only good things I suggest you watch a playthrough from your favorite YouTuber or streamer. You'll only miss out on the Dualsense but that's absolutely not worth spending money on. Get any other game instead.    … Expand

    There were occasional bugs that are annoying when there are no checkpoints in the game. But other that that I can note a great design, self aware and interesting dialogues, multiplayer that I really enjoyed and unique mechanics. Hope there will be a part 2

    Deathloop is an odd game. Its a game unique in its experience, an experience that may not be wholly original yet it succeedes in forming its own identity. It takes some time playing as both Colt and Julianna to understand exactly what this game offers but once it clicks it REALLY clicks.

    This is just Waypoints: The Game. That beeing said. The sandbox is extremely fun.

    Pros:
    - The powers are great
    - Characters are fun
    - Artstyle is fantastic
    - You can really let your creativity out
    - It's very fun

    Cons:
    - Multiplayer just doesn't work (at least at launch)
    - There's no freedom in how to solve the main puzzle. You just have to follow the waypoints

    If you are able to get through the first 6 hours of wondering why you paid $60 for this game, then you’re in for a treat. Once you unlock your first couple of skills, and learn the gameplay loop this game becomes a 10/10. Play if you like: Dishonored/Souls Games
    Stay away if you like: Hitman/Fallout

    Deathloop offers well-designed stealth levels under the core gameplay of Roguelike. At the same time, the variety of weapons and special powers also support the exciting combat. Julianna's "invasion" adds the uncertainty of the game, but may also spoil the player's experience.

    I’m honestly surprised, because I did not expect to have so much fun with Deathloop. It draws some gameplay ideas from Dishonored, but introduces time-related mechanics, offers an intriguing story with interesting characters and has its own unique and coherent style. It’s an original game, full of surprises and addictive, but not necessarily easily digestible for everyone. For me however it’s one of the best titles of 2021. [11/2021, p.22]
