    After Dishonored was good, but the sequels were not i was worried about this. And yeah its not great. Main characters are not likable, we can't the player character at all. Very few areas and its only one day repeated. Its a trial and error to pass this, you don't feel get any sense of progression from playing like other Bethesda games.

    An absolute masterpiece. Highly recommended 10/10. Loved every bit of the game apart from the occasional hitches and performance issues.

    Must-Play worthy, now the wait for Redfall begin. Let's see what art Arkane can make next.

    Разработчики в наше время обнаглели совсем, выпуская "сырые" игры. Игра лагает на консоли, это второй киберпанк. Ну если отбросить все баги игра не затягивает и после прохождения в нее не хочется возвращаться.

    Amazing execution with game Design. the levels are fun and offer many ways to explore and some off the beaten path secrets. Fun FPS mechanics that goes in line with the studios previous games.

    I would highly recommend going in blind and to not use any help links and uncover the story by yourself which will make for a fun mystery to uncover. Multiplayer is handled well and a blast    Amazing execution with game Design. the levels are fun and offer many ways to explore and some off the beaten path secrets.     This is a very solid game that rewards you for being creative and paying attention to the information it gives you. The gameplay is noticeably smooth starting with the movement and especially standing out in the gunplay which is complimented incredibly well by the DualSense controller haptic support. The various slabs and trinkets allow you to approach the levels differently on each loop and explore the wide array of options to complete each area. This is my first Arkane game I have played but after playing Deathloop I will definitely be going back to their older titles and paying close attention to future releases from them.

    I recommend giving this a try if you have a PS5. My only advice is to be patient and stick with it, the game is best when you can emerse your self and recognize all the unique gameplay opportunities the game provides. If you're looking for a mindless title you can fly through without really paying attention, I wouldn't necessarily tell you to completely stay away as there is still plenty of mindless killing to be had, but I would say that you won't enjoy the game to its fullest possible extent and will really be missing out on a large chunk of what makes the game so special.    … Expand

    I have enjoyed my time with Deathloop so far, level design and gameplay give me Dishonored vibes. Would recommend if you are a fan of that series.

    If you Platinum this game, you'll get plenty for your money.
    In my opinion, while it's not a typical fps, it's still a work of art.

Here, because it's so easy and the AI is so terrible, even if you find a "smart" way to do what you set out to do, you don't feel like you've accomplished anything.     While this game has some cool qualities, it suffers from bland graphics that in no way deserve the rare masterpiece score that mainstream sites in this country are giving it. And even worse, the AI is not very good. I honestly can't figure out why a game that did not release on PS4 doesn't have better graphics and AI.

    If you want ray tracing and 60fps, I would suggest you try the PC version, except that the user score over there is even worse, because of crashing, stuttering, and stability issues, along with weird input lag. As expected the PS5 version does not freeze or crash very often. I have loved Bethesda games, especially Fallout 3, 4 and Skyrim. But this one is not on that level. The PVP is a lag fest. Recommend you wait and have people join you rather than join them. Lots of rage quitters when you put them down twice.

    People will say disgruntled Playstation fans review bombed the game as this game is produced by a Microsoft owned company, but if that was the only reason for bad reviews, why is the PC user score worse?    … Expand

    Game is a masterpiece and the fist game I have played in a long time where I lost time while playing. Super original premise, amazing sandboxes, brilliant voice acting, and an insanely addictive loop. Please don't pay any mind to the 0/10 scores clearly given by upset xbox folks that wanted this game to fail.

    The AI in this game is terrible and reminds me of the bots that used to be in Counter Strike before they redid the game in the source engine. Aiming is sloppy and imprecise. The guns have no visceral impact. Really wish I could return games via the PS-Store like you can on steam.

This is the only game that does this, so I'm led to believe it is definitely a software issue. I filed a ticket with Bethesda.     I've reviewed it on PC as i wasn't supporting money hatting timed contracts and higher prices, but I have to say the game deserves much better than to be review bombed.

    As good as dishonored? no, but poor? no. A solid 8/10.

The combat is not precise and shooting is very bad, AI of the enemies is laughable you can run rings around them so stealth is pointless. Really don't understand the 'masterpiece' reviews - this has numerous bugs, crashes to home screen, freezes &Very over-rated by reviewers. As a fan of Arkane's Dishonored I was disappointed in the 4 small areas that need to be explored multiple times.     This game has grabbed me the same way Dishonored 2 did,in fact when i have finished Deathloop,im going right back to play D2. The Gun play,the powers.the way you can utterly mess up a plan and pull it back is very entertaining... Do yourself a favour and plays this game.

    Great game by Bethesda. Lot of fun, and challenges to do.
    Few bugs and I’ve had 1 game breaking bug however that aside I’ve really enjoyed playing it so far. Don’t regret buying the deluxe version for my PS5.
    Only reason 9/10 is because of the game breaking bug I had and I lost about 35 minutes of game play.

    Обожаю творения Аркейн, да и Бефезду люблю. Тут игра вышла так же очень крутой, интересной, вариативной, с юмором, со стилем, много прям клевые моментов в игре. Да и тема "петли" мне всегда нравилась, а тут ещё и смесь моих любимых игр в таком сеттинге.

    Однозначно игра года по моей версии!

    p.s. у меня 1060 6гб и fx-8320 (!!!) и у меня на низких, с некоторыми включенными функциями, типа FidelityFX и дальности прорисовки - 80фпс, в замесах минимум 60 видел. И я вполне могу поднять настройки и залочить фпс на 60, и играть в удовольствие. Картинка приятная, мыла вообще нет, зависаний тоже!

But Bethesda has lost its edge in the gaming world and being bought by Microsoft hasn't helped it any but i sure wouldn't want my name on this game its a super buggy dishonored 2, the people praising this just love aI wonder why i ever listen to these critic sites, they almost always hype poor games and never even mention the best ones until the gamers speak with sales and replay value. Just because it's first person and uses guns, and has a power or two from DishonoredPlays nothing like Dishonored 1/2, entirely different and creative gameplay loop. Encourages exploration, investigation and creative play. Dishonored 2 was disappointing in its lack of innovation, Prey was amazing, and Deathloop continues down the line of Prey in creating a unique setting and gameplay. Just because it's first person and uses guns, and has a power or two from Dishonored does not make it a clone, these are probably the same people who think Street Fighter and Guilty Gear at the same game because they're both fighters. Main character is amazing, one of my favorites in the last few years. Shooting feels amazing compared to Dis2 and Prey, they keep getting better. There's a reason the critics have given it such great reviews. You'll also have PC gamers who can't figure out their settings crying about stuttering, I fixed mine in about 2 minutes and played 7 hours now with no issues. Playing at near max settings even. The game was inevitably going to be review bombed because of jealous Xbox players and PC gamers who can't figure out how to fix stuttering, so feel free to totally ignore the low scores.… Expand

    This is one of those rare FPS shooters that you have to play once as it's a continuous loop that will keep the adrenaline going. Deathloop's concept is engaging, funny, and somehow very sly the way this game represents if I was comparing to Ubisoft's classic FPS shooter XIII.

    Very interesting game. I feel a bit of wolfenstein shooting, dishonored magic & fallout reading terminals. Its a very mind bending game and im loving it. I have had a couple of crashes, a lot of bugs where i had to re-start my game ,especially when the ps5 is in rest mode it crashes.

When I pay $60, I expect high quality visuals, especially if it is a next-gen only game. The loop stuff is also an excuse to make the short campaign longer. The sound effects are laugable. The animations are trash. The physics are beyond horrible. The textures are pathetic, especially the water textures.

    The multiplayer is so boring. You can only play 1v1 invasion. No team deathmatch, no capture the flag, no nothing. The greedy developers were too cheap and lazy to develop a multiplayer that can hold at least 4 players. I don't recommend this game at all. Nothing in this game screams next-gen.     Gameplay: ver boring, it takes several steps back from what you could do with dishonored and dishonored 2.
    Graphics: somehow the game looks worse than the footage we saw before the delay, which already looked bad.
    Story: boring and predictable.
    Conclusion: avoid this game, it is not worth it, Arkane simply have lost their touch.

The combat is bland, the graphics are muddy, and overall it lacks the charm that was stuffed into all its advertisements. A real disappointment.     this game was great... had so much fun with it.... the ways u can finish the game is CRAZY!!! and i love when developers try new ways to make their games and this game is mixture of action stealth and strategy (not that kind of strategy but you know what i mean)

    P.S: ignore the zero reviews i mean it doesn't make any sense to give a zero to this kind of game

Maybe this is to make Xbox look better, being Bethesda was bought by Microsoft and they have much better looking games coming?     Pretty bad. I'd give it a 4 but i wanna lower this to 0 so people bombing it to 10 stop fanboying over a game that adds nothing new to the table since hitman already did it.

    The time mechanic doesn't factor in at all because although you are stuck in a time loop it is split into morning, noon, afternoon and night. The only thing is you can spend as much time as you want in these respective time zones and the areas you choose to spend a time zone in but there is no real time timer like in majoras mask so the whole premise doesn't really work.

    Since triple A games face have become so free form that you can usually do whatever you want when you want this game doesn't allow for that and feels outdated for it.

    The abilities have been recycled from dishonoured aswell and renamed. Arkane manages to disappoint more and more with each new game since the original Dishonoured which I don't think they will ever surpass.

    Sorry to write this, but it's completely impossible to play RT mode on PS5. The mode itself looks disgusting (what happens to the shadows cannot be described in words), so it also starts at 30fps. Dear Arkane Games, please fix RT mode to PC level and make it 60fps. I really like the game, but what happens to the technical part is just awful.

    It's a enough good game, while we know that right now there is no new cool games among all remasters and remakes. It feels Arkane's love for details and multiple ways to go through. But there is many bugs and sometimes I don't want to believe that Arkane make such buggy project. Also ending is not satisfied.
    Still the game is cool. And it's cooler the most of latest new title.

    Just like all Arkhanes games it's starts out with interesting ideas and ends as a mess of broken systems and undercooked ideas. Unlike their other games Deathloop is borrowing and cringe from the get go, not even the first 10 hours are fun or interesting.

    Buyer Beware! The random freezes and crashes this game experiences are very frustrating as you are not able to save mid missions. You will loose alot of progress. While the game has potential I highly recommend waiting a while before purchasing as the freezing will ruin the experience. I returned for a refund

    It didn't keep my interested for long, I played for about 4 hrs and went back to an old game. I generally don't like time travel in games or movies. Playing the same maps feels like its set up for multilayer only. I think the user score 5-6 is about right.

It has potential with some unique qualities but fails to deliver in some core areas. Especially with the foundation of its PvP aspect which has a MASSIVE sustainability problem for longterm (explained further below).

    AI is weak--they don't react to sound very well (shoot a gun multiple times on a rooftop and them still seem lost) and their vision is way too narrow. Fairly dated stealth mechanics to be honest. They also don't engage in firefights well and are predictable--easy to get them into chokepoints and they just lack awareness. They do not flank and are linear in design (no special classes outside of "long, mid, short, and melee range"). They will improve in weapons over time of your progression but it doesn't actually do that much in increased DPS and does not impact the game much either. I believe AI is weak to compensate for player invasions which creates an extremely poor balance between the two. If you don't get invaded by a player (which can be quite often especially since player count is not very high), then you have only the AI to face. Quite simply, a reliance on PvP for a challenge. AI needed a Heavy class (immune to headshots) and a Nullifier class (immune to Slab attacks and abilites) along with maybe a combo of the two. Just needed more overall. Balancing between players can come elsewhere. Controls on PS5 need improvement especially with weapon handling. Sensitivity and acceleration are just off feeling and this is the first game I resorted to snap auto aim which I LOATHE due to it being a cheat. But I just couldn't get a comfortable feel for the handling without it and was hurting the experience. And I'm someone who plays a lot of PvP shooters and though I prefer fairly specific control settings, I also adapt well. UI could be improved (especially with maps and the layout of objective menu). 3D audio is not the best. Will have multiple times where an item may sound above you but can be right at your feet.

    Mulitplayer is horribly unbalanced and VERY laggy due to Peer-to-Peer connection. It's fun when it works but also quite frustrating and I expect PvP to be hard to matchmake in the coming weeks due to lack of players.. The overall game is short, about 20 to 30 hours to fully complete. When you finish the game with Colt, there's no real endgame progression (minus completing side stuff or other endings) to push for PvP. Not even a matchmaking for him to directly play against Juli players on random maps (desperately needed). This in essence kills the 1 side for creating the PvP. Thus Juliannes could be stuck in matchmaking for quite some time if not enough new players jumping in--some hardcore people may repeatedly jump in as Colt but nowhere near enough. There needed to be incentives for players to remain in Online Mode beyond the main story. There also needed to be improved "skill/progression based" MM due to how lopsided games can get. My Colt is endgame (was about 10 hours into playing sadly) and just demolishes both AI and Julianne invaders alike (assuming they actually match make into my game...). I actually don't even stealth anymore it's so one sided. Invasions is a core concept for this game with a poor foundation to operate on. It can be exhilarating when it works and both sides are more of equal progression. But that's fairly rare in my experience.

    Overall, some people may enjoy the game as it tailors to a much more casual player base but this does not deserve a Game of the Year level of ratings. Not even close.. Returnal is a better game in a similar genre though much more difficult and not for the feint of heart lol. But it's better put together. I do hope Arkane proceeds with a DLC or sequel as I do see solid potential for a unique design. They just need to improve upon many core aspects.    … Expand

    I don't really use Metacritic but When I saw people complaining about next gen graphics of this game and some gamers compared it to dishonored 2 or even the first one... , I was like this is too much here there's a certain limit of nonsense **** that was surpassed here and I had to intervene. Style of the game, gameplay and story can obviously differ from one person to another that's just taste personal tastes some will like other not, but next gen graphics are next gen graphics and nobody can say a PS5 game have PS4 graphics the same way you can't say PS4 game have PS3 graphics. Stop with the **** please. Same thing with sounds design it's extremely impressive when you shoot the next gen is in that game graphics and sound design big time.

    Deathloop is basically dishonored+hitman+groundhog day. The goal of the game is to find a way to assassinate 8 people that are keeping a time loop intact, while also having to worry about a rival assassin trying to prevent you from doing so. The game is executed very well, really the only issues I have with it are that the game is pretty buggy, and there's performance problems.

I didn't hate it, but didn't love it either, but I think this is one of those games that the majority of people will love or hate. After 6 hours of gameplay I realized that I've thrown my money away, it became so boring so fast. Not recommended at full price, wait for a sale.

    Death loop is one of those games that have a unique hou that is good enough to put you through the game even if some parts you don't know what to do. The art style and production value are top-notch. I really enjoyed it and especially the voice acting was good.The game took me 10 hours to complete just good amount of time for this kind of game.

    The general gameplay, outside of the shootouts, mostly consist of fetch quests similar to the ones found in recent Ubisoft titles.

This actually gives players a decent amount of build customization, and allows for players to approach situations in ways that they want to. The implementation of Julianna is also a unique game mechanic not too dissimilar to how Dark Souls multiplayer works. Another real player can invade your game as a rival assassin named Julianna, and you need to kill her to rid her from your world. Seeing the invasion message always gets me sitting up, and these invasions have been the highlights of my time playing the game so far. Uncovering the real truth and all the secrets throughout the game are engaging, and you can go about these “quests” in whatever order you wish. Despite this freedom, the game is quite small, and ultimately how you beat the game is somewhat linear. This game’s combat and guns feel responsive with a PS5 controller, and the creativity with Colt, the protagonists, unique abilities feels endless. For example I once killed a target by teleporting over a large fall and then swapped places with them, forcing them to fall to their death. Despite its positives, Deathloop does have some glaring negatives. The biggest negative by far is how stupid the A.I. is. You could literally shoot an enemy dead who is standing next to another enemy, and if that enemy doesn’t directly turn to face their dead partner, they won’t even notice. This problem is especially glaring if you play the game stealthily like I do. Another problem I have is that the ability “blink” is way too overpowered. It functions similar to Dishonored’s teleport ability, and it allows for you to teleport short distances. You are given two ability slots, and despite the 8 unique abilities that the game offers, I have still found no reason to not use “blink” as one of the spots. You are actually handicapping yourself by not equipping this ability. Despite its flaws, Deathloop serves as a surprisingly engaging and fun experience in a year where most games have been delayed.… Expand

    Finally, another game that made me think about it even when I wasn't playing it. A fascinating story in an authentic-looking world with a great soundtrack. Admittedly: A lot is/must be explained in the first hours. But it's worth it. After that, you're rewarded with a game that gets you into a flow that's incredibly fun. I haven't regretted a second of it.

    Deathloop offers well-designed stealth levels under the core gameplay of Roguelike. At the same time, the variety of weapons and special powers also support the exciting combat. Julianna's "invasion" adds the uncertainty of the game, but may also spoil the player's experience.

    I’m honestly surprised, because I did not expect to have so much fun with Deathloop. It draws some gameplay ideas from Dishonored, but introduces time-related mechanics, offers an intriguing story with interesting characters and has its own unique and coherent style. It’s an original game, full of surprises and addictive, but not necessarily easily digestible for everyone. For me however it’s one of the best titles of 2021. [11/2021, p.22]

    Deathloop is Arkane at its best, combining its system-driven immersive-sim gameplay with a unique and fascinating story set-up. Excellent presentation and style, along with fantastic dialogue and character performances makes Deathloop one of the most innovative games in years and a valuable PS5 exclusive.
