    Didn't know anything at all about the game, had only known it was a Kojima production. WOW am I pleasantly surprised.
    To say that this is a masterpiece is an understatement. Yes, it is the kind of game that either you love or hate. But, if you start playing this game and within 30 minutes you're hooked on wondering WTH is going on here? and like the basic game mechanics, then you are    Didn't know anything at all about the game, had only known it was a Kojima production.     We simply weren’t aware of how prescient the themes in Death Stranding were in 2019. Playing it now in 2021, it feels completely if it’s time. Add a number of quality of life updates, 4K 60fps, and trigger haptics, people need to revisit this game.

    In an era of copy rinse and repeat video game design I find Death Stranding to be fascinating and even addicting. Hideo Kojima is truly is a mastermind of video game design and the longer you play this game the more rewarding it becomes.

    I was a sceptic! I was not ok with what ever this madness was and I avoided it for 2 years! And I am a huge MGS and fan of the director and I love Norman Reedus. And still I was not ready for Death Stranding and after 40 hrs play and still wanting more... im not sure I will ever be ready haha IT is that different , unique and polarizing...and controversial!

    Death Stranding Directors cut is excellent.

    But like marmite its not for everyone and far from perfect. It is an artistic masterpiece which will make you feel but that feeling might be negative or positive. But it will cause a visceral reaction which few games in the last decade can do.

    The graphics though repetitive are amazing. The sound and music are staggering and as good as you could hope. The game is huge with plenty to do over the 20-40 hrs I played. The story is interesting and controversial but often messy as is the bizarre writing. The gameplay is extremely solid and scary and thrilling and action packed. I would go from being bored to being chilled to scared to excited in one sitting! Its such an unusual game.

    The multiplayer is very neat though really only single player but in a team. Its a big part of the game not to be missed.

    I never knew I would enjoy being a postman. It turns out that can be a cool thing when you have a cool ride and cool gadgets and terrifying monsters and terrorists to defend against.

    It is never as consistently good as metal gear but it has far highers highs (and lower lows). But any fan of the last MGS will find plenty to love here. And if you like Norman Rebus then this is the game for you haha
    This is a must play game which love or hate needs to exist and any intelligent, thoughtful person should give it a go (and don't quit until it grows on you as it will given time!).    … Expand

The protagonist Sam Porter Bridges played by Norman Reedus is phenomenal! Great supporting cast of characters as well. Excellent voice acting!

    There's just nothing like death stranding. I love the gameplay, the shared world elements and the characters. The scenery is just a joy to explore as well. One of the most interesting games in years. I couldn't recommend it enough.

    I played through the OG version and LOVED it. I personally would give this game an 8 or 9, but like another reviewer said, I’m going to give this a full 10 because I’m sick of seeing these review bombing trolls. Just doing my part.

    Not a game for everyone, just for people who really love art and details, patient enough to actually understand what this game is about. If you get it, it's a totally amazing, genuine and different experience.

    Amazing game, so much wierd fun. Kojima is a rolemodel for other game developers. How will ever be able to play a linear shooter that is obviously made for twelve year olds, ever again.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I've a very unpopular critique method of Death Stranding where I compare it to the souls genre. I'm aware Kojima stated this is the beginning of the new "Stranding" genre, but I highly enjoy and focus on the Souls elements. Let's start with the difficulty. Death Stranding might not be hardcore insane, but it does have a learning curve, leaves you helpless in your first BT encounters, and when you enter the mountain areas you're simply left for dead unless you learn how to handle the game fast. You may not be wielding a sword, but you'll eventually wield a few guns while facing grotesque creatures.

    Another very obvious Souls element is the messages you can leave to other players via signs. Death Stranding even takes this to a whole new level (Stranding level) where you can leave and use full structures build by other players from bridges to a simple anchored rope that might make the difference. The game is filled with warnings in some complicated areas and it gives a sense of community just like the system you find on Demon Souls and even Elden Ring.

    The Director's Cut definitely benefits from the most recent hardware, but the game was still very playable at 30fps and this is because of the reduced input lag, same wizardy provided in games such as Horizon Zero Dawn.

    Kojima definitely created something unique worthy of being further developed and I 100% support this franchise.    … Expand

    This game is a masterpiece. If you haven't played it, don't rate it. It makes open world traversal the actual interesting part of the game, which is awesome. It's weird and probably not for everyone, but if you really play and it clicks, it's an amazing journey.

    This game to me is flawless on the Playstation 5. The frame rate , graphics & new content was worth the $10. I gave Death Stranding originally a 10 because to me its a perfect game and im still enjoying it 350 hours later.

    Wonderful. After a quite slow and unengaging start, the games got me absolutely involved. I never really got the story, but that did not matter. Being the nerdy loner who gets to accept the merits of being part of something felt good and I developed a strange satisfaction riding across the map to deliver parcels and build infrastructure.     The load times made playing the PS4 version undoable for me the optimization from that alone is enough for me to fork over the 10 dollars. With what else has been changed I would of gladly paid 30. I'll take the things like this over ea and Activision BS any and everyday. Death Stranding is fantastic and the review bombing is gross. Well done kojima. Can't wait for your next work of art.

    A game that is so relevant at the current time, when people are sitting at home because of the pandemic. A beautiful and insanely atmospheric game from Hideo Kojima, who once again proves to the whole world that he is a true genius.

    P.S. I passed the regular version on PS4 and now I have passed the director's version on PS5 with pleasure.

Потому что смог сделать доставку грузов увлекательной , да еще и без онлайн ! Онлайн составляющая игры есть , но она как в Doom работает. Практически не влияя на вас и ваших друзей .     This game has become something so outstanding and unusual that even two years after its release, I still love it and admire the work of the developers. The story, the characters, the world in which everything happens. Atmosphere, music, game mechanics. This is beyond praise. Kodjima Production you passed an incredible game, thank you!

    This is the only game I would call it an "artwork".
    Kojima built a world with his unique own way. Creative story, epic music, stunning cutscenes.

    Btw, the gameplay is not a walk simulator. As the story goes, you get more and more equipment and vehicles. Also, you need a proper plan and resource control, which make every delivery very different.

    The DualSense adds so much to this game, I am glad I waited for the definitive edition on the PS5. Really shows how creative Kojima-san is and even added easier options to remove some frustrations from the previous version. It's good to have more options during a delivery.

    I Have to admit.. if you do not invest your first 10 hours, you can not understand how large, diverse, full of content and beautiful this masterpiece is. First 10h show about 15% of what can be done in this game. I am sorry for everyone that quits sooner (as I almost did)

    Among the best graphics out there. A truly incredible story and very meaningful. It isn’t the most fun game and I’d consider it more an experience but it’s well worth the play josh take many breaks. It can get addictive eventually after the slow start. My only criticism is the driving. It’s the worst driving physics I’ve ever seen in a game. Otherwise the game played perfectly

    One of the most beautiful games I've ever played. You need to be a little bit patient playing it. When I read people's opinions about the game, I dropped it. But last year I've decided to play it and damn, it was really good! The story was amazing, but yeah I got bored on chapter 5 or 6, but they added new and fun ways to deliver packages in ps5 version. TRY THE GAME YOURSELF.

I turned a complete 180 on this game and now happily call this game a masterpiece. But calling it a masterpiece doesn’t do it justice. On my second play through I learned that this game Is a completely unique game that stands out from the rest. But I also appreciate this game isn’t for everyone. The way of the game mechanics in this title isn’t like your standard open world rpg that we are accustomed too. It’s a learning curve that starts off slow but when it kicks in becomes an experience like no other. The look and style of this game is better than most Hollywood blockbusters and any ps5 game to date. It’s graphical detail is way ahead of its time. It has an ensemble cast and they all give stellar performances. And although the story is a slow burn when you get to the closing credits you are left in awe at what you have just witnessed. I was once someone who said death stranding wasn’t for me. So if anyone else is feeling the same I ask you to try again sit down and stick at it. I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed.… Expand

    Probably the most unique game I have ever played, Interesting mechanics and extremely deep storyline. Definitely not an in your face shooter or action game if thats what your looking for but graphics are amazing, game-play is strangely tedious, soothing and enjoyable all at the same time. A killer soundtrack to really set the feels too.     Death Stranding: Director's Cut is a damn fine upgrade. While I think Death Stranding is among Hideo & his teams finest work, I get it is divisive. The new delivery missions are welcomed, as well are the stealth mechanics. The new delivery options are fun and add more diversity.

    The graphical upgrade is very nice, as DS was always a looker.

    The soundtrack and effects are excellent as well.

    the Directors cut is everything Death Stranding fans love about this game but so much better. The FPS boost alone makes this game feel almost completely brand new. Having a lot of fun with the new equipment as well. 10/10

    I played it when the original came out got half way through and thought it wasn’t for me played the directors cut knowing what to expect now I know it is a real masterpiece I hope there is a sequel

    Игра крутая и очень классная, она не создавалась для всех нытиков которым не нравиться симулятор ходьбы, а нравится футбол который выходит каждый год и смысла в нем нет, кроме бесконечного доната. Всем рекомендую игру.

    Что касается технической стороны в сравнении с версией для PS4 здесь вы получите моментальные загрузки, быстрые переходы, 60 фпс в 4к и приятные ощущения в дуал сенсе.
    Я начинал играть еще на прошке, но после пролога забросил. Потом перешел на 5ку, обновился за 700р до этой версии и взахлеб наиграл больше 100 часов. Был момент, когда я как одержимый строил дороги и выполнял стандартные заказы.

    В игре каждый найдёт чем себя развлечь, даже после прохождения сюжета.
    По началу игра может показаться скучной и сложной, или даже страшной, но по мере прохождения динамика будет увеличиваться, а также количество всяких полезных девайсов, которые будут упрощать перемещение и доставки и помогут в борьбе с "тварями".

    Я даже до сих пор не открыл фуры и не все дороги достроил за +100 часов     … Expand

    Best game ever made. Spent over 100 hours in original chasing platinum trophy, and 78 more hours in director's cut. People who don't understand philosophy and physics behind this masterpiece should not be angry with Sony or Kojima. The should take a deep breath and admit they are not at that level yet. LEARN AND ADAPT!

    Giocato è un capolavoro con narrazione molto variegata e cinematica con le sue teorie. All'avanguardia ben curato e rifinito su console ps 5. Director's Cut arricchisce ulteriormente il gameplay più varietà di elementi arcade rende Death Stranding un gioco molto variegato con tutte cose come si dice a Napoli. Spero di giocarlo di nuovo su PC quando avrò un PC

    Death Stranding: Director’s Cut is a solid remaster with smart upgrades that build upon the original release without taking away from what made it a unique experience. The game itself has a lot to say and some of it is genuinely compelling, however, the pacing is abhorrent and the core gameplay is a deadly pill made out of tedium and boredom, that I really wish I hadn’t swallowed. Let’s hope I’m a Repatriate.
