    A very mild remake. A very organic development of the original ideas. I liked the optimization and the good condition of the game at the start of sales. Of the minuses, I can note a little the curves of the animation of the movement of the main character and the absence of moments in which the enemy pounces on you near and it's tedious for you to press the key to free yourself. A lot of attention to detail, especially liked the decision to make an inconspicuous Isaac's heartbeat, which increases or decreases depending on the situation.     I hate giving EA props, so I'm not. Instead, I'm going to say that Motive did an awesome job not just recreating but bringing Dead Space back to life. This is a MUST play.

    If anyone is still not sure, if they should buy it or not, here's my suggestion. Stop reading steam forums, they are usually full of uneducated haters and losers. Instead look at Steam Reviews by people who actually bought the game, look at Dead Space Reddit, look at gameplay on Youtube. Most actual real fans seem to like it a lot, me included. I'm fan of the original since 2008 and i canIf anyone is still not sure, if they should buy it or not, here's my suggestion. I'm fan of the original since 2008 and i can confirm, that this remake is huge improvement over original. Original is obviously classic and will always stay that, but from now on, remake will me be my go-to Dead Space.

    They nailed Isaac talking. It's not too much, it's just enough and when necessary or when it just makes sense. Graphics are amazing, million times better than the original (as they should be). Audio design and music are really good. Creature/Boss design is solid and some bosses are way better in the remake. For example The Slug was one of the most boring bosses in the original, but in remake it's so well done. Brute and Hunter are also solid.

    Overall amazing work, hopefully either DS2 Remake or DS4 next.    … Expand

    Solid remake, hopefully RE4 and SH2 will be as good, if not better remakes. Everyone who hated this remake, before it even came out, will never be whole.

    As a gamer who never played the original, I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, Dead Space Remake is a beautifully crafted Survival Horror game. From the atmosphere to the creature designs, it keeps u on ur toes it's entire runtime.

    The weapons are fun to use and combat is nice and smooth. The Story is simple yet effective. All of these little elements come together to make an Early game    As a gamer who never played the original, I wasn’t sure what to expect.     Everything's perfect, this is the best way to enjoy Dead Space, yeah it has some performance issues, some frame drops, but it didn't ruined any of the experience to me.

    A remake done right. Everything about this remake is very well designed and everything was crafted from the ground up. They definitely kept the spirit of the original game fully present in this remake. I appreciate how they managed to pull over all gameplay mechanics from the original game while subtly improving with some of the modern day finesse. This is for better and for worse, while the game is a ton of fun, it is such an honest remake to which it really does feel like you're playing an Xbox 360 game in regard to the gameplay. Doesn't make it bad, but the jump scares and set pieces are incredibly predictable this many years later.

    The graphics are excellent, but I have to say that Callisto Protocol set a very high bar for the graphics just a few months prior, despite being a worse game overall. After being treated to the visuals of Callisto Protocol, I can't help but feel a little disappointed with the graphics in the Dead Space remake. They're not bad by any means, but it goes to show you that they didn't do their best. The sound design is greatly improved with the ambient noises and the voice acting. I also really appreciate how they made Isaac have a voice from the very beginning, which adds a little more depth to the character and ultimately the setting itself.

    Overall, its a great game for fans of the original and for newcomers. Doesn't do anything particularly well in today's age, but it is an enjoyable experience.    … Expand

    Some of us did not wonder if Dead Space would be forgotten and we would not be lucky to see it again with a decent conclusion despite Dead Space 3, which strayed far from the main premise and everything went to waste. Now we do not have that long-awaited conclusion, instead we have a "REMAKE" that is undoubtedly an extraordinary renewal as we saw with Capcom's Resident 2; I personallySome of us did not wonder if Dead Space would be forgotten and we would not be lucky to see it again with a decent conclusion despite Dead Space 3, which strayed far from the main premise and everything went to waste. Now we do not have that long-awaited conclusion, instead we have a "REMAKE" that is undoubtedly an extraordinary renewal as we saw with Capcom's Resident 2; I personally didn't think that the original title could be improved, and to the surprise of all players this time MOTIVE studio managed to improve something that we thought was almost perfect from the beginning. The additions not only range from the obvious graphic improvement, to this we must add an increase in information and context in the lore of events and the history of the main and secondary characters, even our protagonist will not be a mute character as in the original, Now he has a voice that allows him to interact with the other characters, adding a lot of information about Isaac's character, we can even see Isaac's face from the beginning and we will notice a change in his face and a resemblance to actor Adam Sandler (FOR THIS ONE REASON I DON'T GIVE IT A HIGHER RATING). During the journey in the story we will be given secondary objectives that we can complete as we unlock access to the different sections of the Ishimura. The weapons are the same as in the original title but there was certainly some major balancing and changes to the secondary shots making them more useful (as in the case of the pulse cannon which is now quite useful). The trophies are mostly the same as the ones we saw on PS3. In a matter of enemies, the necromorphs are more aggressive and resistant, the mechanics of dismembering them is now much more "realistic" since while we do damage to them we can see if we pay attention to how the meat is cut until leaving the bones uncovered for the final "cut". The lighting, textures and the redesign of some parts of the Ishimura greatly improved the immersion resulting in a terrifying game and you should not miss it. In my opinion, this is a light of hope for fans of the saga that invites us to dream that future installments (if there are any) will be improved by removing everything that the players did not like and we can see a conclusion to the story epic way. Let's just pray that EA doesn't implement the microtransactions and co-op that didn't work and screwed up.… Collapse

    Isaac Clarke's original adventure is back in a new format, which has more depth in story and freedom in terms of gameplay. As a result, the game is recognizable, yet not the same which makes for a nice result. The game also has impressive graphics and the audio is unnervingly strong. That the game has some minor flaws we take for granted, because this horror adventure is recommended to everyone.
