For the first 10 or so hours, was captivated by the visuals, atmosphere, audio and set pieces. The combat was varied enough at first to really keep me captivated and motivated to get through it. I`d give it a 8, but it gets a 5 for their woke trash. nobody cares, doesn´t add anything to the game, if it doesn´t matter, why change it?
Also dislike the changes to the twist and it´s too expensive for a remake. it should not be supported full price!

I really enjoyed this game, but there are some issues. First off, it went woke like crazy. They didn’t need to incorporate The message into another game, but yet the bathrooms are all trans bathrooms. And gameplay wise, you can barely run. There is no doge mechanic either. But it’s very good at what it set out to do, and that is make you feel like it’s a dark, lonely place. It truly scaredI really enjoyed this game, but there are some issues. Pretty sad that the PS5 can't hold 60 frames with Dead Space. It's a great game, but it runs better on XBOX Series X (like most games that are multiplatform) and PC (the holy grail of games).

Game was bugged out in Chapter 3 and Chapter 10. I had to restart the game from the beginning for Chapter 3 because the key item didn't spawn and I only made one save. In Chapter 10, I had to reload earlier save because the main objective was bugged out and I couldn't progress to the next chapter after launching the asteroid. Sometimes the door won't open and stuck on the door opening animation, so I had to close the game and open it again. Sometimes the area won't load completely and I had to wait for few seconds for it to load.

90% of the game is the exact same as the og game with prettier graphics which is fine since its a remake but at full price 70 dollars is laughable and it's not like its a completely brand new game that took years to create and we got people on here giving it a 10/10 and saying they love the "new EA" LMFAO

Basically it's good but nowadays it doesn't really impress me anymore. The game has good upgrades compared to the original and isn't exactly the same so it's great for fans who played it but for someone like me who never played the original and doesn't care about the series, it didn't make me want to care about it either. Alien Isolation is much better in my eyes

The game as such is fantastic and definitely an improvement over the original. My complaint is regarding the constant, irritating swearing and cursing in every spoken sentence. This is an annoying habit with many new games. I like to consider a good video game as a piece of art, but the overabundance of foul language takes away from the experience.

Huge Dead Space fan and this is alright. Looks amazing but plays exactly like it did 13 years ago. I was so excited for this and the hype was over rated big time. Don't get me wrong and to jump back into Deep Space and play it with this polish is pretty incredible, but not next gen. Playing TCP and then playing this made me appreciate what an achievement TCP really is on next gen. Just the melee combat alone in TCP makes Dead Space melee combat a joke. Weapons - Once you upgrade all your weapons in TCP you are a smashing and shooting beast. In the Dead Space remake all the weapons feel very weak and not satisfying as in TCP. I think people were sold in the wrong direction here and there is something fishy between how TCP and Dead Space where marketed together when they were 2 separate games with two completely different approaches. Dead Space will always be one of my favorite space horror franchises, but now I am making room for the next big player in next gen space horror and that is The Callisto Protocol! Expand

A game that made a huge impact on the ps3. Playing it again, I found it outdated. I didn't feel the tense atmosphere of the original. Minor modifications to add diversity. I do not recommend.

The game deserves a 9/10 but all the interface bugs which only allow you to quit the game and lose your progress since the last save nearly all the time is really, really annoying! Plus, the issue with the interface every time the game is launched that forces us to return to the main menu. Not acceptable for a golden game. So it is a 7 for me not more

I can see how it is a really good game but I am not sure I like resource constrained survival horror games anymore. I loved RE4 because I never felt like I was that short of ammo but in Dead Space I found it annoying to have to manage. Constantly running out of ammo or med packs. I think I prefer horror games that let me just go ham and blast through zombies.

My biggest issue with Dead Space is that I simply wasn't afraid at all. The game feels like a worse version of the Resident Evil series. The game feels like a worse version of the Resident Evil series. You get plenty of ammo to deal with any and all aliens you come across and you will come across a lot. Some weapons are clearly superior to others. In fact and I found this to be quite funny the weapons that are the far superior weapons are the tools that any mechanic would be using. They are far stronger than any military issue assault rifle or pistol that i found and tried to use only to find their damage output lacking. There are sidequests that aren't really sidequests as you will likely complete them just going about the main quest line. The sidequests felt included to just kind of check a box rather than something that a lot of time was spent on. Speaking of the story it is actually really good. It felt good slowly repairing the ship to try and make it home. The enemies are extremely fun to shoot off their limbs and there are alien possessed babies that you can stomp to death. Which I did, a lot. Took no time at all getting used to shooting off limbs instead of going for the head as that is the main gimmick with all the enemy types you come across. Their weak points are their extremities not their heads. Only negative with the combat really is the game has a really bad habit of spawning enemies behind you. Which unless you know they are there will almost guarantee you take a hit, which is an issue as the enemies deal a ton of damage. You get pseudo super powers as you cross further into the ship. With the stasis power being extremely powerful and something I found myself using for nearly every enemy encounter. You play in the third person camera angle which is great as the devs take full advantage of this by putting some of the HUD on your characters back, such as health bar and stasis meter. This was an incredible idea as it allows us to easily see our health bars and other meters without having to take our eyes away from the action. There is some resource management but you do get a ton of inventory space as you upgrade your suit, so much so I was able to carry four weapons, several stacks of ammo for each weapon and health packs. All while having room for anything I may pick up along the way to store in the store for later use. Dead Space is a game that starts out somewhat difficult but gets easier as you progress further into the game. This would vary with how much you explore and how you upgrade your weapons. Actual score of Dead Space is a 7/10, but lowered to a 6/10 because of EA being a garbage publisher that murdered Dead Space's original development studio. Expand

Isaac Clarke's original adventure is back in a new format, which has more depth in story and freedom in terms of gameplay. As a result, the game is recognizable, yet not the same which makes for a nice result. The game also has impressive graphics and the audio is unnervingly strong. That the game has some minor flaws we take for granted, because this horror adventure is recommended to everyone.
