However, since Skill Based Matchmaking has been introduced, this game has gone down the complete **** I am at the highest possible skill matchmaking for both roles. You are now limited to just a handful of the 200+ perks to actually compete now. SBMM only works for those players who hardly ever play, and shafts every player who has invested time to get good at the game. SBMM has killed every single game it's been implemented into. This game is UNFUN, and hackers top it off now. The devs do not punish hackers at all, and all the hackers are pushed into the high MMR so every game is either beyond sweaty and unfun, or plagued with hackers.

Additionally, the devs themselves are at a low MMR, they are truly complete **** at their own game and want to dictate how it should be. Idiots.

Save yourself the money and time and do NOT get this game. RIP Dead By Daylight.

Garbage game. Killers are overpowered. Killers camp survivors on hooks with no repercussions. Killers can mash their special abilities with no problems while survivors items only last for milliseconds.

Developers don't care about the game, just about making money from microtransactions.

There needs to be a better balance of killers and survivors.

The developers are bad at theie own game and suck at it and allow hackers and pc cheaters to ruin the game and a stupid matchmaking system you always lose as killer then have survivors laugh at u and call ur mother it bad

Dead by Daylight always had core design problems that the developers refused to address beyond a superficial level (Band aid paid for perks and tonedeaf buffs/nerfs) but I found it pretty fun regardless . After being gone for a year I bought a 1 month PS Plus subscribtion just to play a few matches again which I partially regret since on the one hand my time with the game was miserable butDead by Daylight always had core design problems that the developers refused to address beyond a superficial level (Band aid paid for perks and tonedeaf buffs/nerfs) but I found it pretty fun regardless . To put it bluntly the game can only be "fun" to newbies where the novelty of the premise is still fresh , People that have devoted a crazy amount of hours into it and know pretty much everything , Those that play survivor with at least 2 other friends and lastly those that thrive in the toxic stuff this game allows you to get away with

Much have been said about which side is more fair or fun but for the average Joe currently both sides are hell . If you play solo queue survivor prepare to be camped , Tunneled , Butthumped by Nurses and Blights with thousands of hours and to be constantly let down by teammates that refuse to do their objectives or commit sepuku on hook for no reason

If you play killer you can hypothetically play pretty toxic yourself and have decent results without breaking a sweat but try to have any fun by actually chasing people around and it's also hell as you have survivors that know maps and loops like the back of their hand and can run you around for ages . At best you might find the weak link first which will cause the entire rest of the team to crumble but that never felt satisfying or rewarding

The SBMM , The obvious focus on competitive play and streamers and the fact that there aren't any other casual modesin what is supposed to be a glorified freeze tag party game also help kill this game completely dead for me . Lastly the gameplay loop has remained completely stagnant beyond some superficial meta changes as most new perks and killers are nothing more than rehashes of the same concepts

easy to play - hard to master - a game which really shows who you are - evil, selfish, nice, stupid - survivors have to play as a team or the will have no chance and maybe only 1 surives but if the do they can make the life of the killer hell

The game isn't that bad as people say, I haven't encountered any cheaters/hackers, the game is somewhat balanced from what I've played so far, it ain't the greatest, there are stuff like the microtransactions, the battle pass, and some killers and survivors aren't better than others, but it's a decent time

Twenty seven months worth of patches, content updates and a next-generation coat of visual sheen is enough to allow Dead by Daylight to realize its ambition as one of the most enjoyably terrifying online multiplayer experiences out there. If you've been holding off and waiting for Dead by Daylight to 'get good' or 'get fixed', now is the time for you to finally jump in. You won't regret it.
