Jul 18, 2025While Days Gone is a great time, it’s still essentially the same game. Glitchy gameplay issues and systems still exist. It has jarring difficulty spikes in certain places. And while the voice acting of the main cast is stellar, much of the acting of the NPCs is embarrassingly awful. These are minor gripes that doesn’t hurt your experience, just flaws that I think in 2025, should have been addressed.

Jun 25, 2025Days Gone Remastered delivers the most technically polished version of the game, with significant improvements to lighting, frame rate stability, reflections, and DualSense support. Nights are now genuinely oppressive, and new modes offer modest replay value. However, character models remain untouched, the performance mode on standard PS5 shows reduced clarity compared to the PS4 backward-compatible version, and visual bugs persist. This remaster doesn’t reinvent the experience but is a solid update for fans — though it feels more like a symbolic gesture from Sony than a renewed commitment to the franchise.
