Jun 27, 2023Playing Company of Heroes 3 on PS5 means accepting to play either a poorly optimized PS4 game (resolution mode) or a fat PS4 game at the end of its life (performance mode). Yes, technically, it's a real wreck. It's naughty or simply awful depending on the mode chosen. That being said, the game is still very playable and ultimately well optimized for the controller. We simply regret the lack of precision and responsiveness in the absence of a shortcut. But the work of the developers is there. The interface has been partially revised and it's pretty well done. It's up to you now if you're ready to sacrifice the visual aspect in the name of the altar of the strategy game, a genre underrepresented on home consoles. For the rest, Company of Heroes 3 remains the same game as on PC. An honest, but naughty strategy game.
