    This game is complete garbage. It requires a patch just to be able to play this game. The campaign should be playable without a patch, but the developers were too cheap and lazy to make that happen. The short campaign only lasts for about 5 hours, and the greedy developers are charging $70 for this game. The gameplay is pretty much the same as the last game.     For goodness sake, what is it with these videogame developers being so obsessed with making a bunch of military games set in World War II and even the first World War? Enough already. Most people that will buy this game don't even know the Big Three Allies and its leaders of World War II, let alone when the war took place. This just goes to show how out of touch these developers are with their audience. People who love books would be interested in World War, not gamers. If they are going to make another World War game, then at least be historically accurate. They couldn't even get that right, which begs the question why couldn't they just make the game about a fictional war in modern setting? And just like any other modern big budget videogame studio, the developers added woke SJW trash in the game.

    The multiplayer is beyond horrible. The maps are so poorly designed. The spawn points are pathetic. The zombies mode is easily the worst zombie mode I have ever played in a Call of Duty game. The mode is objective-based rather than round-based. It lacks challenge compared to previous installments. You can't even pause in zombies mode when you are playing solo. The physics are poor and the AI is incredibly stupid. I don't recommend this game at all.    … Expand

The campaign is the most tropey cookie cutter campaign I have ever seen, zombies was the most bland it ever was too; and on top of that, the multiplayer is the exact same formula from the Modern Warfare 1 and 2 days. If anyone from Activision is reading this: Quit milking CoD and get more concernedThis is the most dry the CoD formula has ever got, and is now a new low for the franchise.     The multiplayer is really great. When i first played i was killed from everywhere because i did not know the maps. The maps are mostly fantastic. There are like 3 maps i do not enjoy playing on. and 2 that are meh. But there are still 12 maps which are absolutly amazing to play on: Espacially the pacific map. The one we did not play in the beta.

    Vanguard campaign is the worst amongst COD campaigns. It lacks any variety and does not get player invented in any way. Storyline sucks. Characters are trash. There is so many problems with this game that I had to push myself to complete even 1 or 2 campaign levels.

    Multiplayer feels alright, kinda... Spawns are broken. Guns are imbalanced as always. Players are camping everywhere. Most    Vanguard campaign is the worst amongst COD campaigns. Oh, I must correct myself: 6-7 repeated tasks that absolutely suck. No more round-based gameplay. It seems as developers tried really hard to make players not hooked up to the game at all!     Same garbage, "different" cod.... except its a reskin of the first cod but with updated speed from infinite/advanced warfare. save your money, dont buy and if you "really" need it, waitr for the half off sale in a month so you atleast save money for the 1 time you play it before uninstalling.

Вы что серьёзно настолько безрукие что не можете нормально наложить звуковую(голосовую) дорожку на персонажей? Я уж не говорю про интонации в кат.сценах и во время самой игры. 2.Что за бред со шрифтами на листвоках, вывесках зданий? На одном из зданий так вообще перевода нет. Что за бочки нефть? Где вы видели что бы горючин средства хранили так открыто и ещё подписано большими буквами на бочках НЕФТЬ? Что за бред про персонажа Полину? Вам не кажется что это Брюс Уилис в шапке ушанке? Вы когда нибудь занимались паркуром в военных сапогах 1942года и в юбке? Почему у неё отсутствуют черты характера которые присуще молодой наивной девочке. Да при первой упавшей бомбе она должна была рыдать и охуевать от происходящего, и только потом взять себя в руки и начать мстить немцам, а не так "о нихуя бомбы! Немцы! Ебану ка я до дома по крышам. А далее так просто забрать жизнь у человека, хоть и у фашиста, так просто без всяких эмоций. После того как её отца расстреляли так без эмоционально задвинуть речь из 4 слов и все... Вам не кажется что вы окончательно ебанулись со своим сексизмом Невозможно было видеть непонятное барабанное ружье и обвесы почти на каждом автомате немцев.     Multiplayer maps are pretty good, much better than MW, but not even close to Cold War's. Camo challenges are really painful and take too much time.

    Zombies mode has never been worse than this. No round-based map, no wonder weapons, no easter eggs, no intel, no pack-a-punch camo. Pretty poor.

    It’s a 60 or 70 dollars game with F2P meta rules. Weapons grind are too long. Clearly it made only for slowdown your progression so you spend your free time only in one game and ofc to sell you weapon modules with skins in store

    Компания хоть и короткая, но в целом интересная и понятная. Советую её пройти всем вначале, что бы можно было ознакомиться с героями и пострелять из оружия. Основная часть игры это сетевая составляющая и зомбирежим. В сетевом режиме всё сделано на высшем уровне, очень много разного контента. Советую всем.Компания хоть и короткая, но в целом интересная и понятная. Советую её пройти всем вначале, что бы можно было ознакомиться с героями и пострелять из оружия.     Look, if you don't enjoy call of duty you won't like this game. And yes, this is a call of duty. It isn't a gigantic leap in a different direction but It does genuinely feel refreshing. Especially after Cold War. This game has a memorable story with some of the best cod moments (IMO). It actually has a great multiplayer with a huge load of maps and cursed weapon builds. Zombies has anLook, if you don't enjoy call of duty you won't like this game. And yes, this is a call of duty. It isn't a gigantic leap in a different direction but It does genuinely feel refreshing. Especially after Cold War. This game has a memorable story with some of the best cod moments (IMO). It actually has a great multiplayer with a huge load of maps and cursed weapon builds. Zombies has an incredible new art style and story and is run by treyarch... But there is just not a lot of zombies content at launch. It's kinda dry... But it has a very strong base so It's looking like they will be adding more through updates. In conclusion, If you want to play a fun WW2 cod through this year equipped with a memorable campaign, great multiplayer, and a start to a new zombies story... Vanguard is the choice for you.… Expand

    I understand that some zombie players are disappointed, but everyone should also understand that multiplayer/campaign players are having fun. So imo it's kind of unfair to say that game is automatically bad when zombies aren't perfect. I'm sure they will do something with it anyway and make it better. But overall all other aspects are great.     Fun and chaotic multiplayer, short, but still solid campaign, actually good graphics, zombies are bad, but they can update it. Overall i'm glad i bought it, great game and possibly best shooter of 2021, unless Halo does something.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I dont know what has been happening with games recently but they all seem to have the same theme of shoehorning modernday politics into them.
    A game set in the 1940s and the main character is calling the nazis racist... in a time when the WHOLE WORLD WAS RACIST!!! Yeh it was bad but it was considered normal back in those days. Anyways one of the missions you play as Arthur Kingsley ( the black guy on the front cover) and you land behind enemy lines with a bunch of other British paratroopers ...who then instantly all decide to make Arthur squad leader...WHICH WOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED!!! so straight away the immersion of it being a ww2 game has already been broken. Yes it was bad how black people were treat back then but it happened and people need to stop trying to cover it up.
    This stage is just one of many which all follow similar patterns

    Next you have the dirty muddy graphics which also shows up blurry most of the time. Yeah I can see they were trying to give the game atmosphere of WW2 but making your graphics ugly doesn't make it gritty like how World at war was . The first mission is the worst as you cant even see much because of how blended and mushed together the graphics are combined with the weather effects .

    Next is the online, theres alot wrong with it but I will call out the obvious
    Theres only 1 team and it's the allies, you cant play as the bad guys like you could in every other call of duty because they were too scared to add the Nazi faction into it so yet again the immersion has been broken, especially when the people you are killing are playing as the same character as you. Owh and they added in a lesbian operator ...in the 1940s, she would of been lynched by her own team....also it's the only character where it mentions her sexuality which is weird. This entire game seems to be someone's fan fiction

    Other than those issues the gunplay is fun and the gun sound effects are amazing, map level design is ok but there's the obvious problem of spawning on the enemy team. I have nothing else good to say about it    … Expand

    I mean the accuracy of thing in this game ist Bad.
    The graphics are bad in certain moments.
    The movement of a plane looks like a Toy.
    All tanks look the same.
    I would not recommend the Campaign and all.

    Do not buy this game, the Zombies is TRASH, the multiplayer feels rushed and not finished. The only good thing about this game is the story, but it's not worth the money. Save yourself some cash and get Halo infinite this year!

    Another year another call of duty which people review bomb just because they think it’s funny or trendy to do so. I played Cold War and I enjoyed it although it was one of the weaker entries in the series and the maps left much to be desired I still found hours of enjoyment.     This brings me to Vanguard first I wanna talk about the campaign which to me is one of the strongest campaigns out of all the cods Something that makes it really stand out is the cutscenes it really feels like you’re watching a movie and it’s animated so so nice and the characters for once aren’t just robots they actually feel like real humans or at least people that you can enjoy and that you get to know their different personalities what more is there to say it’s got a big set pieces with the crazy over the top stance is chest a lot of fun again.

    Now to the multiplayer I don’t I did enjoy Cold War this feels like an even better step in the right direction everyone really enjoyed modern warfare 2019 for me the problem was the maps were so boring and bland but in Vanguard there’s 16 maps to start with and for King of the Hill maps and each map feels individual fun with lots of different routes to take. Now the gun play is great again brilliant animations lots of variety it took me a while to found find a gun i can slay with but I did in the end and racking up kill streaks is great One big new addition is the new ways to play you can even play as the original 6-6 or 8-8 or 10-10 The last one is absolute chaos but also a lot of fun

    The one issue I have so far with the multiplayer is That I have run into quite a few bugs

    And then you have zombies and that’s it it’s the most barebones zombies they’ve done The best way to describe it it feels like a tech demo of what zombies are and that’s the reason it’s not getting a higher score    … Expand

    This game has no actual agendas. The main problem is that these losers who "review" here call everything "woke" that has women in it. Pathetic, but nobody really cares about these haters anyway. People are having fun with the game, many saying it's one of the best Call of Duty games in years and i agree 100%.

    Easily best shooter of 2021, but there's hardly any competition anyway. Maybe Halo will be nice, who knows. Battlefield will be just another Cyberpunk, it's very obvious from gameplay already and it was confirmed it has only 20 guns, what a joke. Anyway, Vanguard is great.

The Beta was kinda null in certain points, but Sledgehammer Games actually listened to what we wanted in the game, and they did it. Various adjustments and additions, balances, visibility, and everything else in betweens. The superior IW 8.0 engine did show the beauty here, but there are some things that I need to pointed out.

    (+3) Multiplayer at launch was better than I expected. Seems like they have tuned down their controversial and "rage-inducing" skill-based matchmaking (at least, from my perspective). Players are now rewarded more often and penalized less. A solid step-up from Black Ops: Cold War, where in that game, everything would not be able to go along together in the right direction.

    (+1.5) SUPPORT BOTH NVIDIA DLSS AND AMD FIDELITYFX SUPER RESOLUTION.

    (+1.5) Visiblity is an improvement here compared to Modern Warfare (2019). More colors are visible and you can still see characters in certain dark areas.

    (+1) Maps were well-designed, with balances between "predictable lanes" and "encourage camping." They allowed for a more wider-range of engagement, dynamics and balance of gunfights. Covers and destructible environments make this even more intriguing.

    (+0.5) Tons of settings to play around.

    (0) I wish the campaign was longer and go through the beginning of World War 2.

    (0) Despite using IW 8.0 engine. There are NO ray-tracing options in the game. A slight let down, but it really does not matter since a game like this demanded quick reaction and fast frames, and the game still look beautiful without ray-tracing.

    (0) Don't expect historical accuracy from this game.

    (-0.5) No factions. This can cause confusions during an intense gunfight.

    (-0.5) Sniper rifles take forever to aim. But I think they were intended to preserve their true roles to support from long range and not going in aggressively.

    (-1) Grinds take too much time. Even with Double XPs enabled, you can level up your weapon on average - 3 to 4 levels per match.

    (-1) Cheaters are in the game already! They got everything unlocked before they even play their first match! (Still not widespread, though.)
    [New anti-cheat is coming. I hoped that it will deal a major blow to them.]

    (-1) Some bugs were seen, hopefully they will fix them in the future.

    (-3) Zombies were a let down. It feels unfinished for a reason.    … Expand

    To those looking at these reviews who give it a 0 have truly not played the game. So far I’m loving every single bit of it even the multiplayer has me grabbed. Great job sledge!!!!

    Absolutely amazing Call of Duty finally! I don't even care, if they make more these. I absolutely don't care about MW2, because that future stuff is just pointless. World War II theme is most interesting without any question. Anything futuristic is just waste of time.

    One of the better COD games in a long time. Basically no bugs, runs well, good graphics, solid story, fun multiplayer, what else do you want? Obviously Battleflop2042 fanboys are extremely salty because Vanguard is popular, but that's just how it is now. They just have to deal with the fact that COD is overall better game. People are absolutely enjoying COD as of right now on youtube.

Cold War’s was way better
    -horrible map designs. Some maps are way too big and some way too small for the different pacings. It should be limited to whichever pacing it was designed for. 6v6 on Red Star is just plan horrible. The designs of Das House or just plain bad. Just to give a few examples.
    -TTK is way too fast.
    -I personally don’t care about SBMM so I’ll leave that out of my review
    -some challenges for camos are just dumb - point blank range for snipers?!?
    -everyone gets the same operators, even your enemies, so that gets confusing really fast.
    -unlocking operators is tedious and boring.

    This game is a huge disappointment from the start. The campaign is bland, multi-player is buggy and zombies is complete trash and useless. I'm a huge zombies fan since WaW and this zombies mode broke my heart. I honestly can say I teared up on how they ruined the zombies mode. They had so much potential with it and they just threw it out the window. What a shame.

    Best COD I’ve played in a long time.
    Great maps, great movement, great gunplay.

    COD giving you so much content in one game being a campaign , multiplayer and zombies, good bang for buck and its quality

    Some Folks who give bad ratings are doing it because they’re not having successful matches which is not the game fault

    I also love they everyone is running and gunning instead of camping

    I mean, sure, zombie mode is meh, but if you are actually OG player, you would know that COD was never meant to be zombie game. Zombies are just fun bonus mode. If you want to play actual zombie games, play Days Gone or Resident Evil 2 Remake. Anyway, other than that, game is solid.

    Big thank you to Sledgehammer Games for making so fun and enjoyable campaign. I wasn't sold by trailers, but i watched some youtube videos of other people playing it and having fun, that was enough for me to buy it.

    Beautiful graphics and extremely well made cutscenes in single player, very fun. Multiplayer is okay, but you wont get anything better anyway in 2021, because Battlefield will be absolute fail. There's a chance that Halo will be good, but that's for next month.

    Single player was little low on quality but multiplayer is good. Enjoing every bit of gameplay and did not had any game bugs or problems yet. Multiplayer maps are fun, enemy can span behind you sometimes but I have notice this problem happing way less than coldwar. For me enjoyable experince so far.

    What a nice and fun game. I'm almost speechless. I would have never expected this from Call of Duty. I haven't liked any of them since 2013 or so, but i was bored, so i bought Vanguard and i'm honestly surprised. Gunplay feels great, multiplayer is fast and chaotic (in a good way), nice graphics and sound. Played first couple missions of single player as well, seems fun.

    Zombies= Like one dev did the whole trash can a map, he said Ill put some candles and some MP maps and few ojectives, and bam a good zombie map. This draws the line. I will just now watch strems for new cod, cause this is ridiculous.

If it's fun and well made, then what's the issue? This one is very solid, both single player and multiplayer. BF doesn't even have single player and multiplayer seems to be absolute fail.

    Call of duty vanguard is by far the worst call of duty to release ever it's extreamly unbalanced the maps are designed poorly with to many of the same path ways and just the way they are set up the operators looks like the they are some the reject versions of the dirty dozen they don't even look like WW2 soldiers

    Gameplay is great, graphics are impeccable, story is fantastic, but it needed more time in the oven. I also think the story leans too heavily into the Nazi’s racist views, as well as many references to things such as the Cotton Club.

    So far it's been fun game, haven't finished campaign yet, but it's cool. Also tried multiplayer, everything seems to work fine. No game breaking bugs yet. Nice.

    I personally didn't like cod cold war, it was buggy and boring, but Vanguard actually feels nice. Fun and long single player campaign, beautiful graphics, lots of stuff to do. I'm surprised!!

But then comes the evil Nazi whatever rank he is that has a habit of roaming around town to slaughter civilians for no apparent reason, wasting needed supplies for the war effort with his iconic patrol and his best of the best Nazi commandos dressed in super cool clothing, cause they are the best right? So they gotta look the best. And then she faces the Nazi ds3 boss and his goons while alone. After she kills all the goons the legendary bossfight begins where amidst a ridiculous monologue he gets stabbed 5-6 times in the ribs and is yet able to stand, talk **** and move. Whats even more ridiculous is how is how he disappears after every stab instead of blasting the **** out of her with the dragon breath shotgun or whatever. After 15 minutes of casual British interactions they go to the roof where it's her turn to do the monologue **** and also talk **** for another 10 minutes, saying **** out of a 10 year olds brain, and she finally ends his hell of listening to her by kicking him off the building. Then there's the white supremacist narcissistic badass American pilot that gets shot down and is rescued and taught by an all black badass unit the value of giving up his "white privilege". Finally the Aussie that is absolutely discriminated upon from his tyrannical British colonial oppressor of a commanding officer that is a white male and a hardcore racist addicted to power. So black power, woman power, white male that learns the values of being black and the absolute victim of racism that ends racism with a punch and then proceeds to be jailed. Instead of making a war game that depicts the war with historical data, we have this woke call of duty "minorities version". Well it makes sense if you want to appeal to the woke brainless mob, but sure as hell the politics clean cod fans didn't ask for this. But you know, everything is political these days. Really can't wait for the lgbtq dlc. In this "historically accurate" ww2 game. In 1942. And of course the critic reviews are appealed by this politically correct video game that is meant for entertainment. As for the Nazis, the pure exaggeration of their evil made it hard to watch. The idea that the writers have for evil, is as naive as a 15 yo girl that is obsessed with these boy bands of questionable sexuality. The guns are also good, partially. The recoil, sounds, muzzle smoke, and bullet impact feel realistic and well executed, but you'd think in a WWII game there'd be some variety, and often times there isn't. The only good parts of the campaign imo were Tonga and Midway. Jumping into Normandy on D-Day and sinking Japanese carriers at Midway is hard to screw up, which is why I thought they were the only good parts of the campaign.

    Now for the bad, which is 95% of this game. Zombies is horrible, boring to play, and doesn't feel like the zombies true cod fans want. Yet again, another pointless Nazi zombie story people don't care about or play for, zombie health bars, too much UI, truly awful map with 3 portals to 3 terrible locations (not even full blown maps, just small areas) are just some of the problems with zombies. Activision has lost all passion and care for zombies it's not even funny. At this point I'd take remastered maps that are actually fun such as Transit or buried. Overall terrible, half-assed mode that I'm shocked was cleared to be released.

    Multiplayer is nothing new, still bad with more problems than I'll list. Skill based matchmaking is back, we all hate that, as well as the same generic game modes. No war mode or headquarters like in COD WWII, which say what you will about that game, people loved war mode and headquarters, something Activision would've done themselves a favor by adding in (wasn't added due to laziness and lack of passion or care for fanbase). Also why are there no official teams?? The team names are "My Team" and "Enemy Team", like are you serious?? The lack of care, passion, and if you believe it to be true wokeness in this game is unreal. You can't say Nazis vs British or Imperial Japanese vs Americans anymore? This also makes for boring play as you can literally run around and shoot your own operator, and barely tell who's who. COD multiplayer is at its lowest point no question, and it's clear as day. Maybe if they spent more time listening to fans instead of making as many female operators as they can, even including a gay one (Constanze) we'd get a somewhat enjoyable WWII arcadey game.

    Finally the campaign, which is only 9 missions is stupidly short with a horrible story. The Nazis yet again are planning something big and have secret files we must find. In this bland storyline we never get any real information about project Phoenix other than it will lead to the fourth reich, and there's only two missions where we actually are on the hunt for the nazis in charge of the project. Arthur Kingsley's missions are enjoyable at first but quickly turn into repetitive, uninteresting gunplay we've seen before, but better executed in previous WWII games. Wade Jackson's missions are the best with Midway and that's it. Flying, dogfighting, and divebombing is fun but the mission is over in 10 minutes. Polina's missions are also things we've seen before but way better in previous games, most notably World at War. Her final mission is also abysmal, with a boss fight against a regular human yet we manage to stab him 5 times and he's still kicking. The characters themselves I feel nothing for, I don't care when a side character dies, it's just awful and disappointing especially when COD, despite how bad some campaigns are, usually succeed at creating lovable characters. Lucas Riggs missions are the same deal. Also I never knew the Japanese used MG42s and that Stg44s were issued before 1944. The guns are all over the place, and there's a lack of guns as well. The developers really didn't care about this campaign at all. During the pacific mission I never once came across an M1 Garand, Thompson, M1 Carbine, nothing. The only weapons I used the entire time were stg44s, mp40s, the basic sniper, and a kar98. The campaign is just bad and what happens when all passion is lost and when you focus on diversity/inclusion over a good story. Very disappointing even when my expectations were low.

    I don't recommend anyone buying this game and supporting a company that has lost its heart and soul. For all the people who enjoy the game I respect that, but good reviews giving out 10s left and right because its "better" than last years cod, which was awful, and has good graphics doesn't warrant a 10 rating. Also every positive review I've seen revolves around the game being better than battlefield (which I don't care about) with no details whatsoever about why they believe this call of duty deserves a 10. Many recent cods have been horrible, and vanguard is no doubt in the lower tier of this COD depression.     Most of these haters don't even know what they want. In fact i'm pretty sure, most of them don't even like cod games in general. They would hate even, if it was most perfect cod ever. Is Vanguard most perfect cod ever? Hell no. Is it awful tho? Far from it. Better than last two.

    Call of Duty: Vanguard is a great Call of Duty entry with absolutely stellar ser pieces, fantastic visuals, and plenty of modes surrounding an excellently fun campaign. The only downsides are the muddied stories… not to mention what is happening in the company that published it. Highly recommended for CoD fans and people looking for a bit of mindless fun set in WW2.

    Even though the campaign is extremely predictable and the multiplayer is plagued with tones of issues, Call Of Duty: Vanguard is, after all, still a Call of Duty title, and will appeal to all hardcore Call of Duty fans.
