    Yeah its just another copy paste sort of deal, where the guns are trash, killstreaks unbearable and poor map design and spawn placement.

    Killstreaks are a joke with dogs just constantly chasing you as soon as the enemy has 10 kills...…really? 10 kills? on COD? that's nothing, you need to up that to make it playable at least. and for the guns....just put the shotgun on and pray,    Yeah its just another copy paste sort of deal, where the guns are trash, killstreaks unbearable and poor map design and spawn placement.

    I would rate MP in the following order:
    - MW 2019
    - CW --- - VG (this) In general - this is the worst MP experience i have had in call of duty. Bad sounds, awful graphics, no weapon balance, terrible map design, a lot of broken stuff like spawn points etc. They somehow managed to fail shipment map(sic!) Game in general - bad, Sledgehammer games just cannot make Call of Duty Game.    I would rate MP in the following order:
    - MW 2019
    - CW
    ---
    - VG (this)

    PC forcibly messed with one more masterpiece series and ruined it. Female warrior has become a wall-flying Wonder Woman, and the childish black lines are now exhausting. Frame narrative using reminiscence made the story unfocused and failed to explain the points of contact of the main characters.

    All of the five star reviews here are ignoring everything that is bad about this game and NO, we aren’t women don’t make this game bad, the gameplay does. Zombies is easily the worst in the franchise since it’s is essentially Cold War zombies with almost every special feature that makes a zombies game zombies, such as Easter eggs, wall buys, and perk machine crouch points removed. There is literally nothing special about this zombies mode except for it being another zombies game. It’s not fun nor is it worth anytime. The final camos are underwhelming, while also needing days on overal play time doing the same boring game mode to earn the camos. Now for the multiplayer, it’s decent. There is nothing truly special about it and it lacks complete creativity, but it isn’t completely bad. While it’s slightly more fun than the zombies mode, it still doesn’t stand out. There are an average amount of weapons so far with gameplay that still retains things about previous cod games while also fixing up main gameplay mechanics so it doesn’t cater to campy play styles while still offering room for other playstyles. The ammo system if complete garbage and only makes things more complicated and unneeded. Maps are good and fit the cod formula and small details such as team names could be fixed but isn’t too necessary. The gunsmith system is well made, combining elements of the MW system and the CW system leading to a pretty good customization system. Lastly, the campaign. I’m not going into detail since this is a spoiler-free review, but it’s very good. It’s retains its moments and isn’t too over saturated. Overall, cod vanguard is an ok game with nothing too special about it while ultimately being held down by its horrendous zombies mode.… Expand

    Ce jeu n’a tout simplement aucun intérêt tant il est déséquilibré et bourré de bugs. Je pense que nous sommes arrivés COMPLÈTEMENT au point mort avec cette saga. Y jouer devient épuisant. Toujours les mêmes maps qui tournent en boucle dans le multi. Des respawns qui te font mourir en boucle alors que la map fait 23 hectars. Tu te fais tuer en une demi-seconde lors d’un duel alors que tuCe jeu n’a tout simplement aucun intérêt tant il est déséquilibré et bourré de bugs.     This game had potential. Based off the trailers, it actually looked like a WW2 shooter! Turns out we can use anime skins for our smg's in a world war shooter?? The game was and still is broken with game-breaking bugs. It seems the only people who enjoy this game are at the max, ten years old.

    Not a bad game overall. But the story mode is short and really not worth playing through more than once. Zombies is at its worst here, literally no fun to be had with this mode. And while multiplayer has gotten better gameplay and machanic wise, overpowered guns, lag, bad hit detection and poor map design makes it ulmost unplayable. Wait for a steep sale on this one.

    Very disappointing COD, just a load of bad decisions. I'm here for multiplayer & it's not fun at all. Endless fire & kill streaks that you can't see the enemy, you have to rely on the name tag (including the fact that the enemy may look exactly like your teammates.
    Maybe it'll improve 6 months from release date, but at this time I regret the purchase.

    It’s a 60 or 70 dollars game with F2P meta rules. Weapons grind are too long. Clearly it made only for slowdown your progression so you spend your free time only in one game and ofc to sell you weapon modules with skins in store

    New Zombies hybrid mode is trash, people like Outbreak or round for their DIFFERENT mood and play styles, idk wth they are thinking.
    Bring back REAL outbreak at least if you insist in leaving out round based….
    This aint it.
    Points given are for the engines performance, everything else is a joke….

    Avoid. Save your money and disk space. Campaign is fine. Other than that it's Terrible. Battlefield 2042 is even worse. Avoid both. Buy this for the campaign only

You're not playing on any battles and you are not playing as thematic characters nor using thematic guns. It's not about the realism, it's about getting the theme right. For a ww2 game this is an insanely awful take on it. Nothing is accurate.

    The zombies is such a large bruh moment that you'll pass out from dissapointment trying to play even 10 minutes of it.

    Overall there is absolutely nothing about this game that drives me to boot this up instead of any other game. I feel like I'm an adult playing a game made for kids when I boot this up, I feel embarressed just playing it. I got a refund and for some reason I can still play it, but I don't because it's just that generic, boring and just straight up bad. I could dive way deeper into the flaws in gameplay design etc but for real. If you're thinking about buying this, for the love of pp don't do it alone.    … Expand

    Another lacklustre campaign which is getting shorter and shorter which each new version. Zombies is in an absolutely laughable state. The publisher’s should be ashamed of themselves putting out garbage like this.

    The Multiplayer... same old same old... some good modes to be had sure, but its just more of the same, more grinding, more leveling etc. I dont appreciate that the weapons now have up to 10 attachment slots - this seems far too many. The post game "vote on the mvp" section is extremely irritating and needs to be removed, the multiplayer characters are totally lame.
    Zombies - seems rushed and simplified.

    As a student of history, particularly the World Wars, im pretty saddened and sickened by this game's
    handling, never seen so much agenda driven nonsense in a video game. Clearly the demographic isnt someone whos been playing COD for 15+ years with a passion for historical conflicts.

    This game is supposed to be set in WW2, but is just as unhistorical as it can get. Single-player is even worse than in CoD:WW2. Multi-player is ok. Game has a lot of bugs and feels unfinished.

    The multiplayer is a bad version of MW2019. 2/10

    The zombies takes all the worst aspects of BOCW zombies and outbreak and somehow makes them even worse. 1/10

    The campaign is actually pretty decent, but because it’s single player and played the least out of all the modes it has very little effect on the final rating. 7/10

    Played pretty much every cod and this is the only one I requested a refund on and got, which demonstrates how bad it is. I found the maps to be rather boring and ill thought out and the game just didn’t feel or play like a COD game should. So honestly save your money and continue to play MW and black ops and give this junk a miss. I just hope they don’t mess up on the up comming MW2. I would rather a cod released every 3 years and it play great with quality maps then rushing for a yearly game which is just insulting and irritating to play and clearly a cash grab I only have given it 2 out of 10 as graphically it looks nice on the Series X but that’s as far as it goes on positive points… Expand

    The multiplayer is horrible, maps are small and chaotic, spawning is garbage, there is no spawn protection so you will experience lots spawn campers, lots of time you will spawn just to die the ssame second, because the whole enemy team just spawned behind you. There is no map border, you can leave the map and die WTF ?????     12 VS 12 in an extremely small map = extremely chaotic
    COD trying to show players what WWII really looks like, but the game looks dirty in many ways that you could think of.

    Vangaurd was twos steps back from MW 2019. Spawns broken. Graphics worse and muddier. Weapon balancing all time low. Disappointing maps and unplayable servers, with crashing connectivity issues. Played on XSX and PS5. Buyer beware. I recommend not buying this game. If you have to, buy used and return it within the week, to see for yourself.

The actual narrative and cosmetic content of the game is a disgrace to any event that may have occurred in real life. The characters have no British representation to slap the face of three million soldiers, four hundred thousand dead, and seventy thousand civilian casualties. The campaign basically says all sorts of war crimes are fine because Nazi's are less than human which is a little ironic in my opinion. Finally gun customization says **** it to actual firearms mechanics and devices that customization only need to look cool and not be theoretically functional.… Expand

Basically, this is the perfect definition of wasted potential, this cod could fix every problem modern warfare had when it released back in 2019, but after about 50 hours of gameplay i just realized that the problems in this cod are waaay worst than the problems modern warfare had, I’m talking about spawnI mostly play cod for the multiplayer mode, so i will focus in the multiplayer.     Buggy and very messy, no info from Devs about fixes it's now over a month and day1 bugs are worse than before. Dogs have immune to damage bug and this game is just every time a shield, combat shotgun and dogs. Nothing else.

It disrespects the veterans of WW2, stereotypes characters and others for no reason, gets weapons and dates wrong, and plays like ANY OTHER COD! The multiplayer is also bad because the lack of factions, unbalanced weapons, scopes and other attachments that don't fit the setting of the game, the lack ofCOD Vanguard is the worst game in the franchise. In a failed attempt to add diversity to a horribly written, anti- history campaign, the creators still made the white american guy the savior of the whole group. How ironic. The campaign is subpar- reminds me of the old medal of honor games- which were actually cool back in 2001.The only level in the campaign that added anything new was the midway flying mission.     It feels like a long time ago the whole team simultaneously got over making CoD games and just decided to recycle, pretty much everything. Down to the weapons, of which a majority exist in CoD WWII already, which would make sense, I mean they're from the same timeline, but that really just characterizes how stale the formula has become. CoD hasn't been truly innovative since Advanced Warfare, which is sad to see. The gameplay feels fine, the guns shoot well, everything is smooth and characteristic of millions of dollars being poured into it. Yet CoD isn't daring, they've become complacent with weak stories and low fleshed-out motivation, the same generic gamemodes in multiplayer, and a pretty bad stretch for Warzone. This might as well have just been a dlc for Modern Warfare, because there is hardly anything setting this game apart as its own title. The menus are practically the same, the guns are literally the same, the motivations are the same (in that they're non-existent), and at this point I'm struggling to find a reason to buy any new CoDs anymore. Clearly, I'm not the only one either as this game's sales are mediocre at best.

    CoD Vanguard is an uninspired example of why games like this continue to fall off, and a solemn departure from ingenuity, history, reality, emotional reality, quality, and ultimately the legacy that has been forged by the strong relics of its past. 2/10.

    (Also, what is the deal with these weird bot-like accts who all post a 10 rating the same day and have quick one-sentence summaries. They'll legit say 'it's not the best CoD' and drop a 10.)    … Expand

    Modern Warfare series is always a surprise. WW2 was really good. But this game is a rorced cod part. There is 1 or 2 good moments in the campaign. The Zombie mode is the most boring part from the cod zombies series. Multiplayer is a beginner level multiplayer. And the graphics is as good as Black Ops on PS3. I swear it!

    Let me start by listing the good, which is the graphics, some guns, and part of the campaign. The graphics are in my opinion a step up overall, and the cinematics blend very well into actual gameplay, and missions such as Operation Tonga and Midway stand out graphically. The guns are also good, partially. The recoil, sounds, muzzle smoke, and bullet impact feel realistic and well executed,Let me start by listing the good, which is the graphics, some guns, and part of the campaign. The guns are also good, partially. The recoil, sounds, muzzle smoke, and bullet impact feel realistic and well executed, but you'd think in a WWII game there'd be some variety, and often times there isn't. The only good parts of the campaign imo were Tonga and Midway. Jumping into Normandy on D-Day and sinking Japanese carriers at Midway is hard to screw up, which is why I thought they were the only good parts of the campaign.

    Now for the bad, which is 95% of this game. Zombies is horrible, boring to play, and doesn't feel like the zombies true cod fans want. Yet again, another pointless Nazi zombie story people don't care about or play for, zombie health bars, too much UI, truly awful map with 3 portals to 3 terrible locations (not even full blown maps, just small areas) are just some of the problems with zombies. Activision has lost all passion and care for zombies it's not even funny. At this point I'd take remastered maps that are actually fun such as Transit or buried. Overall terrible, half-assed mode that I'm shocked was cleared to be released.

    Multiplayer is nothing new, still bad with more problems than I'll list. Skill based matchmaking is back, we all hate that, as well as the same generic game modes. No war mode or headquarters like in COD WWII, which say what you will about that game, people loved war mode and headquarters, something Activision would've done themselves a favor by adding in (wasn't added due to laziness and lack of passion or care for fanbase). Also why are there no official teams?? The team names are "My Team" and "Enemy Team", like are you serious?? The lack of care, passion, and if you believe it to be true wokeness in this game is unreal. You can't say Nazis vs British or Imperial Japanese vs Americans anymore? This also makes for boring play as you can literally run around and shoot your own operator, and barely tell who's who. COD multiplayer is at its lowest point no question, and it's clear as day. Maybe if they spent more time listening to fans instead of making as many female operators as they can, even including a gay one (Constanze) we'd get a somewhat enjoyable WWII arcadey game.

    Finally the campaign, which is only 9 missions is stupidly short with a horrible story. The Nazis yet again are planning something big and have secret files we must find. In this bland storyline we never get any real information about project Phoenix other than it will lead to the fourth reich, and there's only two missions where we actually are on the hunt for the nazis in charge of the project. Arthur Kingsley's missions are enjoyable at first but quickly turn into repetitive, uninteresting gunplay we've seen before, but better executed in previous WWII games. Wade Jackson's missions are the best with Midway and that's it. Flying, dogfighting, and divebombing is fun but the mission is over in 10 minutes. Polina's missions are also things we've seen before but way better in previous games, most notably World at War. Her final mission is also abysmal, with a boss fight against a regular human yet we manage to stab him 5 times and he's still kicking. The characters themselves I feel nothing for, I don't care when a side character dies, it's just awful and disappointing especially when COD, despite how bad some campaigns are, usually succeed at creating lovable characters. Lucas Riggs missions are the same deal. Also I never knew the Japanese used MG42s and that Stg44s were issued before 1944. The guns are all over the place, and there's a lack of guns as well. The developers really didn't care about this campaign at all. During the pacific mission I never once came across an M1 Garand, Thompson, M1 Carbine, nothing. The only weapons I used the entire time were stg44s, mp40s, the basic sniper, and a kar98. The campaign is just bad and what happens when all passion is lost and when you focus on diversity/inclusion over a good story. Very disappointing even when my expectations were low.

    I don't recommend anyone buying this game and supporting a company that has lost its heart and soul. For all the people who enjoy the game I respect that, but good reviews giving out 10s left and right because its "better" than last years cod, which was awful, and has good graphics doesn't warrant a 10 rating. Also every positive review I've seen revolves around the game being better than battlefield (which I don't care about) with no details whatsoever about why they believe this call of duty deserves a 10. Many recent cods have been horrible, and vanguard is no doubt in the lower tier of this COD depression. First night playing , and at 10:30pm EST we all get booted because they decided to update the servers mid game. On top of it this game looks and feels un-finished and should have been delayed !! Operator's are all junk compared to previous game. On top of it they added operator level up.. should have just left it with challenges !!! Where's OUTBREAK and BASE ROUND Map ???!!! 7500$ for first pack a punch ??!! No wall weapon's, can't update weapon rarety , no wonder weapon's, yet but I see no potential for the zombie mode. Get rid of the covenant junk. Only 3 missions in zombie's ?! Only 3 different kind of zombies.. ohh man I've never wanted a refund soo bad after purchasing a COD game.     I like mechanic of the game and this is all good points i could mention . Respawn is worst you could imagine, enemies spawn in front of you even in big maps. Feels like Activision didn't bother to make good game . So many glitches , enemies hide inside texture and shoot you . I personaly like small maps but in this game they make then unplayble .Screen shakes so hard that makes me feelI like mechanic of the game and this is all good points i could mention . I do get why console players need an aim assist to keep up with PC gamers, only giving 3 different aim assist options of which one is called focusing (basically a soft aimbot). it aim's through walls and obstacles makes console players overpowered in almost any combat situation, the use of smoke and stun grenades are cancelled by this aim assist because it just snaps on target and almost follows every movement your opponent makes. The guns are not balanced at all, shotguns and LMG's dominate all of multiplayer. the damage range of shotguns is nearly the same as AR's. LMG's need 2-3 bodyshots to kill let alone the fire rate. it has no point using SMG's or snipers because they just get obliterated by those. the collision they came up with it annoying for example: you have a camping teammate in a container on shipment you just can't pass them because the block your way with probably a riot shield. you think you can get a kill oh no the guy with hes shield blocks all your shots then moves aside and you get killed, you throw a lethal/tactical it bounces of hes shield right in your face. Killstreaks are also insanely imbalanced. just use artillery and a bombing run and you dominate a game. K9's need the same amount of bullets to kill as you need for killing an opponent. throwing the flare for an artillery strike bugs out a lot, care packages just turn invisible or bounce out of the map. camo's and skins are damn ugly (imo).
    You play with a party and you're not the leader don't bother cycling menu's or changing your loadout bacause whenever the partyleader switches from ingame menu you automatically switch with him and lose the changes you've made (this was also the case in MW (2019) an MW CW)
    The story is utterly boring, graphic wise Modern Warfare is still the best they ever did.

    Not speaking of all the bugs the game has, it might change in time ofcourse

The Campaign is hot trash, the "historically accurate" multiplayer is just another level of dog **** and don't even get me started on zombies, I **** LOVE Zombies, (I spend probably 90% of my life playing through every zombies mode that came out since before I was 7, I'm 19 now) but I just can't say the same thing about Vanguard Zombies I would rather donate both of my kidneys before I play another game of Vanguard Zombies.    … Expand

    Call of Duty: Vanguard is a great Call of Duty entry with absolutely stellar ser pieces, fantastic visuals, and plenty of modes surrounding an excellently fun campaign. The only downsides are the muddied stories… not to mention what is happening in the company that published it. Highly recommended for CoD fans and people looking for a bit of mindless fun set in WW2.

    Even though the campaign is extremely predictable and the multiplayer is plagued with tones of issues, Call Of Duty: Vanguard is, after all, still a Call of Duty title, and will appeal to all hardcore Call of Duty fans.
