    Personally I found it very enjoyable, it was the first COD game I every pre order and am very impressed with the graphics and gameplay overall, good maps and guns, although would have liked to see some old maps return. Best COD game since black ops 3 in my opinion.

    The campaign was a slight let down. The story was mostly nostalgia based with forced mechanics and missions that felt like tech demos for Waezone 2. The multiplayer and groundwar/invasion modes feel the same. With maps that unfairly reward based on which side you spawn on. It's still excessively easy to spawn kill regardless of whatever mode you are playing.

    Currently the disable crossplay option for PS5 is merely cosmetic and does not function while playing multiplayer. Turned off crossplay chat off at the same time and found myself in a multiplayer lobby with random people pre-muted. Being unable to inspect their profile cemented this fact. The fact is that I spend most of my time playing multiplayer angry due to the BS fact that someone has a PC with 180 FOV pulling off a near 180 quick snipe on me every match. Multiple large maps are sniper heaven with close range dominating the few buildings that are there. Leaving little to no cover. It seems they pulled another lazy move of making maps for Warzone first and multiplayer second.    … Expand

    Missing key components, nothing special or new about this game. Same old **** Very boring and repetitive multiplayer. Feels stale quick.

    Personally believe it has the third best story mode in CoD (after original MW2 & BO ). It has some technical issues but no that much that bother you. Multiplayer is good and enjoyable especially if you are a MW reboot fan and it could be better if it had less camper. If you are a fan then don't miss it

    Starting from the awful, nonsensical and boring campaign which doesn't even comes close to the original masterpiece that was MW2 or even MW2019 which was incredibly good.
    Except for maybe two or three misions, the rest are forgetable. There's nothing memorable in it, except for the final mission which is unbelievably bad. Also adding cratting in    Inferior to MW2019 in every single way.

    The multiplayer is absolute garbage, the maps are awful, awful all of them, not a single decent map and there's something off about them. They're all generic, with a pretty bad flow and most of them uninspiring. And that's my main issue, the maps are so bad this game cannot be saved unless they start from scratch. MW2019 had only 2 maps that were a bit a bad, but here every map is downright awful. Feels like i'm in some kid's playgrouns instead of actual combat zones or warfare maps.
    Also, the MP looks visually worse than MW2019, why is that? Everything looks downgraded, more cartoony and too colorful for my taste. The textures, the foliage, everything has been pretty much downgraded for no reason.
    The gameplay mechanics have changed for the worse, now everyone bunny-hops or just camps at the corner of the map. The movements have changed as well, it's clunkier.
    The guns feel different, and the recoil has been exaggerated here. Also, why did they replace their real names? Visually they look like plastic, that's another downgrade.
    Also, violence has been reduced, there's less gore and dismemberment is no longer there. What were they thinking?
    The UI is horrendous, problematic and hard to navigate. Same goes for the gunsmith and the weapon unlock, awful.
    The MP feels like it was developed by Treyarch Games and it feels absolutely bad, they make mediocre games and i absolutely avoid them. What's more it plays and feels like a mobile game instead of a PC and console game like the previous MW.
    SBMM has been cranked up to the max and there's no chill in this game anymore.
    The operator design are something straight out of a comic book and they're all horrible.
    Also, they added bots, another big NO.
    Coop missions are pretty simple and boring, nothing even close to the masterpiece of MW2019 coop missions.
    Ground War and Invasion are OK, but gets old real quick. Especially if there are bots in the match.

    I tried to like the game, but i just can't. The maps are too bad for me to handle, at this point i'll be going back to MW2019 real soon. There's no point in playing something i don't enjoy.
    That's it, i always trusted IW over any other developer that made COD, but they dropped the ball. I think i'm done for good with this franchise. This is just a sad end.

    We're probably talking about one of the worst Call Of Duty game ever created. I cannot believe i waited three years for this garbage.
    The only reason i'm giving this a two is because the gun sounds are even better than before, but that's all that there is too it.    … Expand

    - SBMM (Skill Based Matchmaking) is once again extremely strong and you get into lobbies with only "equally strong" players. This makes virtually every match feel almost the same because SBMM rarely gets you into a round where you can really go off. This takes away from the fun factor and also has nothing to do with CoD for a long time.
    This game is NOT a competitive online game like Valorant and co., yet Activision tries to turn CoD into one. As an excuse for it, you don't want to "scare off" the newbies directly by good players, hence the SBMM, so that you just can't get into a round with exactly such noobs. Rarely heard such a nonsense.

    - What I find almost worse than SBMM is the ungodly short TTK, so Time-To-Kill. It doesn't take half a second until you or your opponent is down. You have no chance to react if you get shot from somewhere, because you are instantly dead. No normal human has such a good reaction time to be able to react to something like that. The TTK is total **** and I really want to know what the developers were thinking.

    - Because of this extremely modest TTK, aggressive playing (e.g. my playing style) is punished all the more harshly. You have almost no chance to react in time to an opponent when you run/move. At the same time, it encourages campers and almost the entire lobby just starts waiting somewhere instead of moving through the damn map. Please, what kind of **** is this?

    - This spasmodic realism since MW2019 gets on my nerves as well. The extreme realism was upped another notch in MW2 compared to its predecessor - and by god, realism and CoD are things that do NOT **** go together. Take a look at the essays: There are heaps of them, especially for the sights. Plus ultra detailed descriptions instead of simple ads about the pros and cons of the different attachments. Who on earth takes the time to read through all that and then select the appropriate attachments?

    - I don't have to say much about the maps. You just notice that they were once again designed only for campers and worse players, because you can headglitch and camp almost everywhere, so that the noobs can get some kills. This simple "three-way-system" doesn't exist anymore, instead the maps are extremely twisted and complicated, windows and doors everywhere and so on. What a disaster.

    Other points that upset me (and probably many others):

    - Where is the map voting please? NO ONE wants to play on the map with all the cars.
    - Why the hell don't you stay in the lobby after the round?
    - Why is it now so easy to get a gold camouflage for example? So that the noobs can also get a gold camouflage or what?
    - Where can you see your stats (KDA, Wins, etc.)? Did Activision remove this so that the noobs don't see how bad they are?
    - Why are there so many bugs that didn't even exist in the beta? Why the hell are you releasing an unfinished game?!
    - Who came up with these names for the weapons, please? "Lachmann", seriously?
    - Why are there hackers in this game NOW? Is your anti-cheat system really that garbage?
    - Which one of you programmed the spawn system? This is an impudence.
    - Why did you weaken the movement so much? Oh yes, so that the noobs are still protected.
    - The menu and the entire interface is an imposition.
    - The visibility in this CoD is just bad, you can't see anything.
    - Why is dead silence still not available as a perk?
    - Speaking of perks, the new perk system was a pretty modest idea.

    I think I've been upset enough up to this point. The only good thing about this game is the campaign, which is unfortunately very short. I can safely advise you against the multiplayer. Do yourself a favor and invest the 80-90€ somewhere else. As long as you support Activision with your money, nothing at all will change in Call of Duty and they will continue to enforce their damn ideology, just to "protect" some family men in their mid-40s, who rarely had a controller in their hands.     Doesn't compare with mw 2019 at all , worst system to unlock new weapons , the maps are one of worst I played on. Then you get **** from every camping sniper kid "thinking that he is good at shooting". The warzone 2.0 is coming and the mw mp will die exactly like mw 2019 did , they are just concentrating towards warzone and not the classic cod anymore.

    This game is alot of fun but it has a lot of performance issues when playing online and there is a lot of microtransactions. This game is great despite all those problems but 70 dollars is not worth it for this game just wait for a discount or pirate it.

    In the story mode, there are levels that make the player remember of the first Modern Warfare game, like the dual sniper level and the ship deck level. And there are also levels that try to innovate, like the car racing level and de crafting survival level. Overall the campaign is like an average quality, not as wonderful as the original Modern Warfare trilogy.

    I enjoyed the campaign, was fun. Content is okay, but the UI is horrible, confusing weapons, day 1 release looks like a beta, I'm using weapons i hate just to unlock stuff, u don't know what you unlocked, filled with bugs, losing interest, adaptive triggers are less intense than Cold War, just garbage day 1 release.

    This game is decent fun, but some of the decisions Infinity War with this game are very bad. Nearly all aspects of the game are designed to remove any skill gap and to favour camping. Very high ADS-speed, very low TTK, maps specifically designed with "safe spaces" to make it possible for people to camp very effectively, no red dots on the mini-map, no dead silence perk etc. It's very clearThis game is decent fun, but some of the decisions Infinity War with this game are very bad.     I am not sure how someone can give a 10 for this game when is not the case. I am totally amazed ! The game is ok, not bad but definitely not great. The campaign has moments from the previous games packed in a better graphics. The solo gameplay is decent, I like the fact that now you are not Rambo anymore killing everything. On the multiplayer side, oh God. It's good when it works. A lot ofI am not sure how someone can give a 10 for this game when is not the case. I am totally amazed !     The game is in my opinion very good.

    The campaign was entertaining, although on veteran very exhausting.

    The Multiplayer is good but not the best, I think I will get better with the coming seasons.

    Inifinity Ward used to be my favourite FPS developers. How they managed to distribute this half finished joke of a multiplayer mode is beyond me. Apart from the fact they’ve completely changed things that worked just fine before (perk packages????) they’ve also managed to put out one of the worst UI I have seen ever. The whole experience is such a downgrade from Modern Warfare 2019 and aInifinity Ward used to be my favourite FPS developers. How they managed to distribute this half finished joke of a multiplayer mode is beyond me. Apart from the fact they’ve completely changed things that worked just fine before (perk packages????) they’ve also managed to put out one of the worst UI I have seen ever. The whole experience is such a downgrade from Modern Warfare 2019 and a shadow of what was the original Modern Warfare.     Honestamente la base del juego esta muy bien los gunplays son más divertidos y dinamicos, pero no me termina de convencer el movimiento el Dolphin lo buffearon eso esta bien pero nerfear el bunny hope es una de las peores desiciones que pudo tomar IW, mientras el diseño de mapas es peor que la de MW 19 muchas ventanas y puertas, tambien esta el SBMM que es más brutal más fuerte que lasHonestamente la base del juego esta muy bien los gunplays son más divertidos y dinamicos, pero no me termina de convencer el movimiento el Dolphin lo buffearon eso esta bien pero nerfear el bunny hope es una de las peores desiciones que pudo tomar IW, mientras el diseño de mapas es peor que la de MW 19 muchas ventanas y puertas, tambien esta el SBMM que es más brutal más fuerte que las entregas anteriores como CW y MW19, hablando de aspectos tecnicos como el sonido y las armas hicieron un buen trabajo no cabe duda de eso, hablando sobre la progresion no hay absolutamente nada desafios, prestigio, solamente esta el grindeo de armas y camuflajes el juego esta bastante vacio de contenido mapas perdidos, armas que estan en el juego pero aun no estan disponibles, no hay ninguna tabla de records, ni de barracones, sobre la campaña la historia es froja es lo tipico Rusos malos, iranies que solamente quieren explotar cosas, gringos BUENOS entre comillas pero al menos se compensa con una gran variedad de misiones ojo no voy hacer spoilers, creo que en mi opinion es una de las mejores campañas que he jugado la verdad me divertio muchisimo vale completamente la pena jugarlo, mientras spec ops pues sigue siendo un modo más sin ninguna importancia que nadie absolutamente nadie va a jugar, el juego actualmente esta en un estado critico bugs, craseos, mala optimizacion y falta de contenido, y el SBMM más fuerte de todos, diseño de mapas horrible, y el bunny hope nerfeado, la razon que le doy un 6 y no un 0 es por que todo esto se puede arreglar con actualizaciones y al menos puede ser un COD decente o incluso uno de los mejores, asi que por favor gente que vea esto, no compre el juego esperen que sea navidad y este en rebaja o al menos esperen la temporada 1 al menos y ver el estado del juego cuando esa actualización salga, ahorita tambien el juego por una extraña razon tambien esta baneando gente, si ya lo compraron hagan un reembolso ahora mismo, no vale la pena por ahora.… Expand

    Has to be one of the worst cods of all time. I thought vanguard was garbage but this game gave a whole new meaning to trash. It's a copy and paste from the 2019 MW. The game constantly crashes and is always putting you in lobbies with no lives that do nothing besides eat and play cod.

The story makes no sense, the fan service is so cringeworthy and feels forced at every stage, it's like nobody at IW could come up with a single new idea and went for the worst option possible. The actors are wasted and there's hardly any decent dialogue, the relationship of Price and Gaz descending intoDerivative, incomprehensible and so boring compared to the phenomenal MW I remake.     Take the map "Embassy", for example ( https://callofdutymaps.com/modern-warfare-ii/embassy/ ). The tennis court in the NW corner is nothing more than a huge chunk of empty space that nobody will ever use. There are roofs and balconies and a helipad that could add fun and variety to the matches, but the players can't access them.

    2009's MW2 on the other hand launched with 16 (SIXTEEN!) core & HARDCORE multiplayer maps including a few classics like Favela, Highrise, Rust, Scrapyard, Terminal, Afghan, Quarry, and Karachi.

    So instead of including a great variety in maps at launch or remaking some old classics, Activision decides to introduce different game modes instead, including modes with jarhead AI running around.

    Leveling up guns has never felt like more of a mindless chore and the UI design is really confusing.

    This might just be the most boring CoD game launch ever. Multiplayer is just another rushed $70-100 game obviously designed just to level up weapons for use in the upcoming Warzone 2.    … Expand

    These review bombs are insane. This game is great and packed with content at launch. The fps mechanics are slower than other games but feels good overall. Need some fix for occational crashes, but this game is really a good time. Great campain with great multiplayer modes. Spec ops should be splitscreen offline, hope they add that soon.

    Great graphics, horrible playability:( Crasches constantly, both in MP and Campaign:( Most of the time it just says i need to "download content" but all is downloaded allready.

    The few matches i've managed to play were not too enjoyable either, as weapons and upgrades feel clunky and useless, perks are just sad and maps are just as much of a mess as mw 2019:( 2 stars for the graphics alone

    I dont enjoy it no more, these development teams lay focus on profit for making new people to play this game. But the time was never better for the best call of duty to come out. Sbmm, camping, pre-aim, Headglich etc. I will never buy bo COD again, sad.

In a lot of matches there where just teammates which shot on every UAV to avoid this camping behavior some people have which is due to the minimap/perk system/footsteps audio.     Campaign is fun, simple as that. Nothing will top the iconic, yet surprising airport scene of the original. I believe it is unfair to compare the two. Old characters are still badass and new characters are equally as badass. I appreciate the experimental nature of the mission design even if it doesn’t hit every single time. What    I would rate both the campaign and multiplayer an 8/10.

    Campaign is fun, simple as that. Nothing will top the iconic, yet surprising airport scene of the original. I believe it is unfair to compare the two. Old characters are still badass and new characters are equally as badass. I appreciate the experimental nature of the mission design even if it doesn’t hit every single time. What holds it back are the balancing issues. Enemy AI is OP while teammate bot AI is mediocre. It took me out of the realism when I sometimes felt I died unfairly because of occasional weird pacing of the story and enemies flanking me from seemingly out of nowhere.

    Multiplayer is also just a good time. Graphics are obviously great, maps are varied, and there are a solid amount of modes to start the MWII meta that’ll last for approximately the next two years. I don’t have a problem with no hardcore mode at launch, it will come. I don’t have problems with the weapon leveling system as leveling up a different weapon to either unlock a new weapon or its attachments have forced me to try out different weapons and keep things fresh. What holds it back from me giving multiplayer a 9 is something the COD community has been complaining about for a while, SBMM. Good players complain that they don’t want to have to select their best loadout every time to stay competitive. An average player like me who is too good for beginners but not great, is put in lobbies where I’m just frying noobs. I don’t get good practice this way. There is no reason why we can’t have both “ranked” matches and random lobbies. Hardcore and regular modes still don’t do the community justice. A play again feature where you can fight the same team with your buddies also needs to return.

Incidentally, people that still play on the PS4 are telling me that MW2 is already way smoother than Cold War ever was. In summary, given that this will be the CoD for the next two years, it could have been a lot, lot worse, so I'm quite satisfied with the result. It's sad that I have come to think like that, but for now I'm just happy to enjoy the game, hopefully the next installment doesn't ruin it.… Expand

    I absolutely love the game but am giving it a 2 strictly due to how broken and unusable the games menus and features are. For a AAA title such as Call of Duty I would expect there to be no issues with basic things such as the menus. The weapon platform menu is unusable, filled with place holder images, while the navigation doesn’t work. If your looking at the final weapon, you can’t even scroll to the end to see all of the attachments. The ideas behind most of the new features and quality of life changes are good in theory but you have to execute. And who ever programmed these menus and who ever okayed them for the final build should be fired. I love the idea behind attachments unlocking across a weapon category vs each individual weapon. But why do I have to wait to unlock an attachment in a given slot for a weapon when I have already unlocked attachments for that weapon from a previous weapon. Some of the weapons don’t have you unlocking various attachments until half way through the weapons progression. Why do I have to wait until level 7 to unlock a sniper rifles scope attachment? And then when you do the 10 or so other ones you have unlocked are there too. This feature was advertised as unlock for one unlock for all that use it all to decrease the monotonous slow grind. But you still have to grind. And then finally the sheer lack of guidance/menus for calling cards, awards, weapon attachments, and camos. A feature that is and has been present in these games since the original Modern Warfare. Missing unlock information for various weapon attachments, or the game saying that you have unlocked something but then that item showing up still locked and unusable. Like I said the game is amazing and I can’t put it down but with the fact that most of my issues are things that should have never made it past initial testing and quality control. Makes it hard to give the game a higher score for such amateur and basic mistakes.… Expand

    Online connectivity is trash, classic reason I stopped paying cod a decade ago was dying right after rounding a corner (thinking you're safe) just to die because of connection inconsistencies.
    No improvement in the last decade means these devs (or the corp they work for) do not care about quality, only profit. Which, they continue to receive when people, like me, get duped into buying a steaming pile of garbage like this for a AAA premium...

    They know what they're doing.

    I would give the original MW2 a 9/10. This remake deserves a 0/10. I can't say the word enough - GARBAGE. Absolute TRASH. Avoid this game at all costs, as it will leave you feeling robbed of your time and money.

    I will NEVER buy another COD installment because of the consistent, time-proven shortcomings of the teams & companies responsible for producing such trash and fleecing the public of their hard-earned money for an experience that seriously is just... NOT WORTH IT ANYMORE.

Perk system is garbage! unlocking attachments never been more complicated! frame dropping , glitching, crashing all that is somehow fine because game is new and they need to fine tuned it. SMBB is disgusting! half of match sniper 1 shoot kill another half
    match 2 -3 bullets kill them. shootgun also. other weapons dont have chance, when smbb kick in. you shoot but enemy dont even getting shoot just go straight thru them. sometimes u win 1 match and everybody die from 1 bullet and then another round u cant hit **** i have high end pc and fiber connection! i am over 30 and played duty all my life. i am back at playing garbage like vanguard because right now is more optimized!    … Expand

    It's a solid COD game but not better than MW2019. Graphically looks very good, sound effects are fantastic and the new gunsmith is a welcoming addition. However, maps are plain average (Some of them really bad), pretty much the same weapons, bad perk system and a disappointing campaign. I still recommend MW2 if you enjoyed MW2019.

    This is an embarrassment of a game. I hate the fact that Activision was horrible enough to not include ANYTHING on the disc!! This needs to stop and be called out because it's a total disrespect to the consumer and the medium of video games. I want to own, NOT RENT!!!!

    Lacklustre the game. I had held up and copy of this and Gotham knights, now I wish I went with the later. Campaign is short and uninspired, it literally reminded me of when I use to play COD which was many years ago, I think the last one was the first MW. This felt the same but different and I see the main thing the positive reviews mentioned was it feeling the same or nostalgic…why isLacklustre the game.     And one of the most realistic games ever made and the best game in the series. Simply a masterpiece, a breathtaking gaming experience, in many moments in the game I felt like I was in a movie, just perfect.

    Had a lot of fun playing the multiplayer. The Champaign was epic too. I had not issues playing it on Series X. Iy is worth playing this one.

    Let's be honest, there's really no bigger title to compete in the FPS genre at the moment, both in terms of the sometimes mediocre content and this year's very polished graphics. [Issue#324]

    A somewhat droll campaign will greet players of Modern Warfare II. It's a short bombastic romp with some fun gunplay moments and fantastic graphics. The multiplayer, however, is a miss as it is no longer a properly combined entity and the lack of replayability is disappointing. A recommendation for CoD fans but for anyone even slightly on the fence perhaps keep shopping or waiting for a sale.

    CoD MW 2 is a refreshing single-player experience, providing players with some of the best action-packed moments and great characters, but riddled with multiplayer balancing issues and extreme performance and technical problems. It still is CoD and is fun for anyone who finds its casual shooting gameplay compelling, but it plays safely and doesn’t present itself as something revolutionary for the franchise.
