CLEARLY the best AC yet. Gameplay is tweaked, everything is very close to Odyssey but improved!
Loved the open world, the freedom to take on different areas of England, going to Ireland, France and other parts in Dlcs (recommend getting them) and the Norse lore to that. Well done Ubisoft!

I had not played an AC since the pirates, and it has been good for me because I took this one with great enthusiasm. It's been 120 hours of long journey to complete it. The Viking setting is very successful and graphically looks spectacular and at 60fps rocky (sadly I found few bugs here and there but they release patches frequently to solve them). Highly recommended.

One of the best assassin's creed games in my opinion. A lot of humour in the sidemissions, which makes them a lot of fun to do instead of just a grind.

Between AC Origins and Odyssey. Valhalla is the best by far.
    Good Stories
    Avor is a great protagonist
    Addictive Progression
Combat is OK - Bow and arrow not so good

Assassin's Creed Valhalla takes a step back from it's predecessor in the gameplay aspect but delivers with a great and compelling story. The setting wasn't really my thing unlike Odessey but I still couldn't stop playing. There were too many collectibles though..

Amazing game, achieved platinum yesterday and did not regret a single minute of it.
The additions they made to the franchise work very very well, and make the world feel more alive.

Story is very good and well written for the main quests, the 'side quests' (map objectives) could still see some work in future games, as most of them are not that interesting and can feel a bit grindy when going for 100% completion. But at the same time the roaming around for them emerges you in the beautifully crafted world.

Throughout my playthrough i encountered a few bugs and had to reload a few times, but nothing major, and this can happen in an open world game of this size.
As far as open world games go, it's not of the level of an RDR2 or H:ZD yet, but it's getting close. If they work on making the side content more engaging in the next title, it could be the perfect open world game.

Story is surprisingly good, it almost sucks to bring it out like some BIG thing, but Odyssey's story was too "all over the place" and boring, at least to me. It had way too much pointless filler. Valhalla actually innovates a lot and feels more like Black Flag and Unity in 2020.

All major issues were fixed in today's patch, whoever still gives it anything below 7/10 is not actual Assassin's Creed fan and your opinion doesn't count. It's one of the better Assassin's Creed games ever and if you don't like it, go play your avengers. Keep your hands off this awesomeness, if you give it 0 or 1 out of 10, you clearly don't deserve to play games like this anyway.

Haven't finished it yet, but i can say i have had so much more fun with this, than i did with Odyssey and Origins combined. Valhalla finally feels like actual AC game. Specially after they added Assassin outfits. There used to be some bugs, but most of them are fixed by now. Good game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The best Assassins's Creed game since Black Flag, the best fighting mechanics in the series and finally Darby McDevitt made aweeeeesome plot twists, but still the game is not perfect.Eivor most of the time is stupid,60 hours is too much for the story line and most of England story lines are fillers.Despite the weak parts of the game I liked it very much. Ubisoft haters are most unlikable people on this planet. Reading these "so called" user reviews makes me sick. I have never seen so much pathetic bitterness, anger and whining towards video game. Specially, because none of this negativity is justified. Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a good game and Far Cry 6 will be good game and This is just fact that these haters need to accept and move on!

I preferred Odyssey, but this game is good enough to enjoy. I liked the settings, the story and the gameplay.

Better graphics than Elden Ring, that's for sure. Overall this game surprised me, it's not best AC game, but it has more to offer than Odyssey or Origins. Story is not most interesting thing in this game, but open world and exploration makes this game solid. I still wish they would go back to Black Flag/Unity era tho.

In my opinion one of the best AC games so far. I did not like the protagonist in AC origins. With Eivor I can identify myself. I did not like the overall storyline in AC odyssey & despite all of my attempts, I had a bad ending. Here the ending is interesting & understandable. With the viking impact this AC feels different than previous ACs. I really like that.
I only have to negative feelings about this game. 1) Fighting is still not challenging enough & feels for most of the game the same (I would wish something like the combat of Ghost of Tsushima) 2) The game is too long. I needed around 90 hours to play through the main campaign. Nobody needs such a long game, perfect length for main story is max. 40 hours if a game is good otherwise it gets a bit boring.

Overall it's not better than Black Flag, Unity, Syndicate BUT, it is better than Origins and Odyssey. Big maps can be great, but i feel like in this one it's little bit too big, but still i'm fine with it, because it has so much content. Graphics are great, music is amazing, combat is fine. The best game I have played since Skyrim, and I actually got equally immersed, and enjoyed it just a bit more. The DLCs were each fantastic additions, and I thoroughly enjoyed my nearly 400 hours so far a playing as male Eivor. This game is just super fun, gorgeous graphics and landscapes and thrilling at times, with comical and relaxing bits mixed it to switch it up. I got the game Day 1 and did not experience the glitches that other players have noted (I played it using Xbox Series X|S). All around I’d give this a solid 10/10 A+ and highly recommend, especially if you love the Viking Age, Assassin’s Creed, or looking for an RPG done right, that plays like a third person shooter almost (using arrows and medieval melee weapons though). Can’t speak highly enough of this game, UbiSoft crushed it and I am looking forward to the totally new purchasable add-on coming early spring 2022. Expand

Great game to spend time in November until Cyberpunk comes in December. Valhalla is graphically amazing. I have heard some people don't like combat that much, i personally like it, not sure what's the problem. Overall very good AC game, might be Ubisoft's best open world ever.

There are two competing experiences here: that as as Assassin, and that as a Viking, that either on its own feels like it might have been a triumph and better than this good but not great Assass-king hybrid we have.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla effortlessly plants its banner as the best open world RPG available for the new consoles. This Viking epic flexes its gore-soaked, tattooed muscles when it comes to world-building, and medieval England wows with its enchanting untamed vistas. It’s also portioned out at a steady pace and, if not for the repetitive, limited combat, Valhalla could have ranked even higher among our favourite games in the series.

Is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla the best entry in the series yet? Some would be tempted to say so. While the map size might overwhelm some players, it remains an easy game to mainline with the right navigation mode turned on. In fact, the quick load times help to make this an even easier task than in previous generations. This is an iteration of Assassin’s Creed that has a bit of everything from the previous games, as refined as we have seen to date.
