So what does it offer? A game released during a pandemic, that feels like it was built in the middle of a pandemic. Boring, Slow, Repetitive, Wonky, the list goes on. Its sounds promising with the whole recruit anyone bit. But, its not as great as it sounds. I'd create my own operatives.

IMO, Patches may be able to fix a couple issues and bring it to a 6.

Guys, stop paying for low effort rubbish Ubisoft games or this approach will become a standard for each game franchise.
P.S. Ubifans just because you have low standards doesn't mean that everyone does.

In 41 years of being a gamer, I have never played a game that is this painfully boring. At least with the awful games I have played, I was busy laughing at how bad the games were. The physics are laughable. The driving mechanics are pathetic, the vehicles don't even have any physics. The car customization is poor and limited. All you can change is few colors and skins. I can't even change the wheels. The graphics has those same atrocious lighting effects every Ubisoft game has, everything looks like it's covered in cake frosting. The story is trash and the voice acting is lazy. There is nothing to do in the open world. All you can do is drive around and play stupid darts. There are too many bugs and glitches.

The developers rushed the game, because the multiplayer isn't even available yet in this unpolished poor excuse of a game. The past Watch Dogs games had invasion at launch and the developers were too cheap and lazy to give it out at launch this time. The developers heavily advertised the "you can play as anyone" thing, which is nothing more than a gimmick that gets old fast. How about they spend time actually making a high quality game, instead of coming up with gimmicks. I don't recommend this trash game at all.

Watch Dogs Legion is the third installment in Ubisoft’s hacker open world trilogy. It isn't the best of the three games. This game had a lot of bugs even after patches. Some of the bugs I experienced caused me to close my application and start my mission over again. Another bug I came across was cars just blowing up randomly. This happened several times and it killed me once permanently killing one of my operatives.

This game was very repetitive as well. There wasn't any real immersion. I don't even remember my characters' names. And due to that I couldn't really get into the story. All the missions where just take out a group of enemies in a compound stealthy or guns and blazing just to hit a button or hack a little device which is copied and pasted across all the missions. The recruitment missions had no variety at all. I found myself replaying the same recruitment mission several times over again. And the characters I recruited all had similar character models in fact I had two identical characters with the same voice actors. The gun combat also felt really easy even on hard it wasn't really challenging. One feature they don't have in this game that watch dogs 2 had was being able to buy cars. This was one feature I really enjoyed in watch dogs 2 but im disappointed Watch dogs legion doesn't have. Stealth in watch dogs 2 was a lot more fun because the characters didn't feel as brain dead and clueless. I would take down a guy right next to another and he wouldn't even notice.

With there being a lot of bad in this game there are still good things. The melee combat was very fun and believable. I found myself using hand to hand combat more than using guns. They also expanded on the overall hacking. They shortened hacking cool downs on everything. It takes only 10 seconds to recharge quick hacks. Being able to hack vehicles without a cool down where all good changes. They also improved the driving. In watch dogs 2 the driving was very clunky and poor but they improved it in watch dogs legion. The handle break function was very fun to use drifting around the city. They also brought back the little puzzles where you have to move the tiles around to connect a positive energy source. These puzzles occurred a lot more in Watch Dogs Legion and I was glad for that because that was one of the things I enjoyed about Watch Dogs 2.

Overall Watch Dogs Legion was a pretty average experience due to a lot of bugs, boring story and poor character development and a poor example as play as anyone the game ranks out as a 6/10 which is a step down from Watch Dogs 2. If Ubisoft wants to make another watch dogs game they should work on the storytelling, level design and character development.

WD2 was really good and quite underrated. The characters were fun, the story was good and relatable (distrust of big tech), setting was great, missions were fun (epically stealth) and the AI was HILARIOUS. I could spend hours randomly causing havoc just to watch the AI. With WD: Legion, the missions and stealth remain very good. Everything else went out the window. Their response to havoc around them was as boring and uninspiring as the rest of the game. This game had a great concept, but truly awful writing and casting. A completely forgettable experience from the franchise that created T-Bone, Aiden & Marcus. Sad. Expand

It is important the truth behind the experience playing this game comes out broadly. Because, oh dear, this is one horrible, horrible game. The same mechanics, with voice acting so bad you start wondering if it classifies as racism and biggotry against UK accents, and the whole idea of the "legion" gameplay... IT'S JUST BAD. You have NO proper player, NO proper storytelling, NO clear paths for the story to develop and obviously NO character development. The whole single player is a joke. It really is. I mean, it is just boring and you are not at all invested in playing. Why? Who cares. Your character is a transparent 'thing". It really is just a thing. You will play a bunch and realise, why am I doing this. There is no real interest behind my characters. Why are they? Who are they? Who cares if they live or die? Why do they talk as if this is an SNL skit with brits? Drop this game altogether. Don't bother. The only way to play it is by paying a ton of money to "unlock" as playable characters the old ones (i.e. Aiden) and then try to play it with recognisable characters. You will pay a lot. To make this game borderline playable. Just play the two previous games again. Trust me on this one. Expand

From a gameplay perspective, this game is amazing. The driving is a major step up from the previous games. It's a lot more fluid, diversive and hella better handled than the previous games. Gunplay functions great, I would, however, like to be less restricted when it comes to my gun selection. A system where you could have a universal arsenal of weapons instead of limiting certain weapons to an individual character would be a far better alternative in my opinion.

The play as anyone perspective was handled well. While the ability to play as over 9 million different characters raises questions and concerns, I personally believe it was handled better than expected. The characters have their own unique abilities and personalities. From a gameplay perspective, ''Play as Anyone'' was handled greatly.

The story is typical Ubisoft, and gets stale as hell after a few hours. I think the overall plot of Zero Day vs DedSec was incredibly interesting, but unfortunately the story became quickly incredibly subpar and predictable. While it did have a few golden moments to look back at, most of the story just came down to ''Go here, Hack this, **** off''
The story also lacks in personal interest in the main protagonist, since.. well.. there isn't a main protagonist. I don't have a reason to care for ****ing Bob Wilson when i know all of his dialogue and reactions are the same for 9+ million playable characters. They don't overgo the same developments as the single-protagonists stories, and there isn't really a lot of character in any of these people besides Sabine and Bagley.

I am giving this an 8/10. Watch Dogs has always been about wrecking havoc and having a blast with different hacking tools at your disposal. This game delivers perfectly in that aspect. And with over 9 million different characters as your disposal, you can constantly find new innovative ways to wreck havoc across the town. And while the story is very subpar, I don't want weigh too much of my ranking on the story, as the story has never been a main focus in any Watch Dogs game. You don't play Watch Dogs to hear an adventure, you play Watch Dogs to have fun.

This game misses main character, i'm sorry to say that, but it does. I can't wait to see if anything improves when they release season pass with Aiden, but it must. I would absolutely love to free roam with Aiden in that city. I guess what i want is actual character focused story. Right now it almost feels like it's work in progress and they should have released Aiden day 1 as post-story content. Like if you finish main story, then you can play with Aiden basically, well they didn't do that and i can live with that, i just hope season pass delivers, i really do. And why am i so optimistic? Because at the same time, there's so much there. This city really looks beautiful, for example you can go on cargo drone and fly on top of almost any building (that isn't too high) and chill around there. Scenery is BEAUTIFUL. You can free roam around on these rooftops, explore them etc. But then i have some criticism against open world design choices, for example i was free roaming and i found this old train in middle of nowhere, Would have been so cool to go inside it and explore it, but you can't because it has no doors. It's not the end of the world, but little things like that could have been so much deeper. You can drive inside trams in WD1 and you can't even go inside old train? Just saying. But overall it's not trash, it's just not. It' might not be anyone's cup of tea and that's completely fine, giving it just zero is pathetic at best. I'll just be honest, driving sucks with mouse and keyboard, it actually felt better in WD1 and they need to fix this, i'm serious. Overall it has tons of potential, underground areas is nice idea as well. There's so much there and there's stuff that i can forgive, like i don't NEED to go inside old trains, it would be just cool, that's all i'm saying. Overall again, it's not trash, it's just not. It just need improvement and for the love of god it needs that season pass more than ever.

It has some on if and i'm glad it does, but i would like these kinds of games have some kind of forest area, nature area, just like watch_dogs 1 did. ANYTHING OUTSIDE THE CITY, ANYTHING, PLEASE. It's miles better than completely empty open world of mafia remake, i don't care if it focuses on story, if you have huge open world, do something with it. Watch_Dogs is at least doing something. And it's overall by any means more fun than Marvel's Avengers, these are not even comparable. I'm not saying these things AT ALL to trash other games, i'm just pointing out facts. My recommendation would be either wait for sale, wait for season pass or just take whatever this game has to offer right now. It's overall very promising and at times very fun. Expand

AAA Gaming landscape overall would be pretty empty without Ubisoft. That's just fact.
They release huge and even smaller games every single year. Not everything hits the nail, but it would be miracle if everything did. 2019 was generally huge mistake for them and i'm pretty confident it wont happen again. They simply can't afford it. Even tho they have millions of fans around the world, there seems to be this small group of angry/hateful people who try to damage their games by giving zero scores without even buying the game and not only their games, other companies as well (these people don't actually really care about gaming, they just have nothing better to with their lives, it's very obvious). And this mass downvoting on watch dogs legion literally day 1 is perfect example of that. Assassin's Creed has way larger fanbase (literally millions) than watch dogs, so hopefully Assassin's Creed fans are ready to protect Valhalla when it releases, because this kind of mass downvoting can't happen again. Now about the game, been playing around 20 hours i think. So far it's pretty fine watch dogs entry, i wasn't expecting anything crazy anyway from this, but it's solid 7.5, maybe even 8 for how good London looks.

    - The general atmosphere of the world is spectacular, and the general London feel is captured perfectly. If you have ever lived in London, the game will unconditionally make you feel nostalgic. Everything - down to small details like advertisement style - has been thought out to make you feel like you are living in the same city that, 15 years ago, was the London that we read in the news about today.
    - The recruitment mechanic is fantastic and works just like advertised. Every NPC in the game (apart from a dozen story-specific characters) is recruitable, and actually feels like a distinct individual with their own set of strengths and weaknesses, personality, and a complex life behind them. Every NPC has a detailed biography and everyday schedule, and which NPC you recruit has noticeable effects on the gameplay: the same mission can be an exercise in stealth, a full-blown firefight, a sniper-like quest, or even a drone war depending on which character you decide to complete it with. This, in conjunction with the game's general sandbox mechanic which makes the open world malleable and dynamic, provides numerous opportunities for you to express your creativity and play the game like you want to play it.
    - Some of the chapters (notably the Skye Larsen and Dedsec chapters) were captivating and featured genuinely thrilling storytelling.
    Negatives:
    - The character models, as well as their movement, animations, facial expressions, and lip-syncing are seriously outdated. It can be pretty weird seeing these comically poor characters interact with such an advanced and almost photorealistic environment.
    - The voice acting is some of the worst that I have ever seen. For some characters, I feel like a random person on the street would've done a better job. Besides, the accents of the characters match neither the characters' personalities nor, even more noticeably, the general London population. For some reason, Ubisoft seem that London is inhabited almost exclusively by native Patwah or Polish speakers, which is obviously wildly inaccurate; on the other hand, the massively popular MLE dialect is barely featured at all. As a consequence of all of these factors, immersion - and with it the otherwise wonderfully executed illusion of being in futuristic London - takes a massive hit.
    - The AI is bad. Albion staff won't shoot at you even after you have literally almost killed them; they won't spot you even if you are in their plain sight; and the less said about vehicle AI - which would be underwhelming even in year 2000 - the better.
    - Melee combat is very primitive, although most other combat mechanics are pretty good.
    - Other than a few thrilling moments, the general storyline is basic, and almost all missions follow the exact same format: break into building - kill a few guards - retrieve artefact - possibly survive ambush - escape to safety. The game starts to feel repetitive after a few such missions - especially given that completing a mission is a prerequisite for every new recruitment, which is honestly a bit of a nuisance.
    - I can't help but feel that much, much more could have been made of the amazing open world that Ubisoft has built and the recruitment system available at Ubisoft's disposal. The characters could be grouped into different classes, with more powerful classes having more demanding recruitment criteria; the missions could be designed to encourage us to interact with the game-world more - for example, some missions could require us to recruit a particular type of character, say a cryptocurrency analyst, so we would be encouraged to recognise that cryptocurrency analysts usually work in the types of skyscraper found in the City, and go look for them there; hell, they could even go crazy and establish a relationship system, whereby relationship points would be gained by engaging in the appropriate activities with them (e.g. taking them to some cafe in the city or engaging in a brawl) based on their profile. Unfortunately, none of that has been done, and the best recruitment strategy as of right now is simply to find the character that you want to recruit in a place you'd expect them to be and recruit them. Only a few types of character are actually worthy of being recruited, with the rest being completely useless, and the recruitment itself is monotone and repetitive. Additionally, not much has been made of the highly interactive open world, and there is a lot of untapped potential.

All in all, Watch Dogs Legion is definitely worth trying out, and it's a fun and immersive experience. However, it's certainly got its flaws, and it could have easily been a masterpiece instead of the merely "pretty good" game that it is.

Overall, he is how I would summarise it:
    Graphics: 9/10
    Story: 7/10
    Gameplay mechanics: 8/10
    Polish: 4/10

He doesn't care that many people were waiting for this game or that people know the difference between GTA series and Watch_Dogs series. All the London landmarks are there, and its got a london vibe about the place, lots of different accents, but not as OTT as I thought. Lots of gadgets to unlock and play with, gun play is good, much like GTA5. I didnt find it as annoying as GTA5, control of vehicles is better, able to throw about the streets without crashing all the time. The hacking via phone system is not complicated and, again, gameplay flows well. I must admit, missions where I rescued hostages or just shot my way in and out felt very SAS style.....but if you choose to use every stealth skill you have then its straight foward. Im not a great fan of being stealthy, but I really got into using a spiderbot or a stealth shield. Looking at other reviews I have seen people giving a 0 for ridiculous reasons, no english option in a Russian copy of the game or saying there is no tower bridge. Overall this is a fun game, and its great to be in London. Its also nice to be part of a resistance against a police state, rather being a gangland boss ect GTA style. Great soundtrack as well. It'll be nice to win money for stunts in bikes ect .... maybe.. but really really really, its worth a 10 as it does london really well imo. Also, I have seen or had no bugs or crashes at all. While the franchise has had some ups and downs, I've generally enjoyed each game and this game is no exception. That being said, it is not a perfect game. The recruit anyone mechanic that is the main focus of the game is both one of the game's biggest strengths, but also one of the biggest weaknesses. The good side is what it adds to gameplay. There's so many different ways to take on each mission and once New Game Plus is added in a future update, I feel this game will have a lot of replay value for that exact reason. Most of the operatives are pretty interesting to play as and no matter how you prefer to play, you should be able to find an operative that fits your style of play. Unfortunately however, this same mechanic really holds back the story itself, with most of the operatives getting generic lines for cut scenes and it's hard to really connect to any of them from a story perspective for this reason. It doesn't help that there's really only about 30-40 voice actors who have their voices changed with the technology available for there to be maybe about 100 different voices or so? This means character voices do repeat and individual lines repeat even more. I feel like the good sides of this out weight the bad, but it is something that could be improved upon in future titles. I do also wish there were more character archetypes. After about 10 or so hours of gameplay, a lot of the character jobs, descriptions and abilities feel like they repeat a lot. More ways to customize your operatives would also be nice. All in all, it's an interesting mechanic that adds a lot of fun to the game, but it's easy to tell this is the first game to do this.

As for the rest of the game's aspects, it's pretty fun. It's has some pretty solid graphics and sounds and most of the hacking from previous games is there. I was a bit disappointed they seem to have taken out the blackout hack, however I also somewhat assume they are saving that as a special character trait for when Aiden Pearce releases as DLC. They've also added a few new hacks and in general almost every object in the game seems to be hackable. The usual hack puzzles are also here and just as entertaining/annoying as usual and there's plenty of side adventures to explore. The game is a bit repetitive at times, but this is made up once again by the different ways you can take on various missions. The Spider-Bot is a great improvement and one of my favorite new aspects of the game. London seems to be really accurate to the real life location and I've heard this game referred to as "London citizen simulator," which seems somewhat accurate. I do wish you could enter a few more buildings however and there was less teasing of which ones you can and can't enter. I saw NPCs exit and enter buildings I couldn't go into quite a bit and that's a bit annoying, especially when it isn't always clear just looking at them which ones you can go into. The game is a bit glitchy at times however, having crashed on me about three or four times in the last few weeks I've been playing since the game released. This is something they keep saying each patch will fix and so far none has. I assume they will eventually fix this, but as of this moment it seems to still be there. Also, they've promised online play to come in an upcoming update as well, so that could change the experience when that releases and raise the score for this game.

Ultimately, while I did have a lot of fun with this game, I'd recommend waiting for it to hit a discount before picking it up unless you are a hardcore watch_dogs fan, or perhaps waiting to pick it up when you get your hands on an Xbox Series S/X or PS5. Ubisoft games are generally pretty fast to go down in price and if this is your first Watch_Dogs game, I think you'd regret purchasing this at 60 dollars when you could easily pick up Watch_Dogs 2 for 20 or the first game for less than that, both of which are equally good experiences. However, once this game does reach the bargain bin (which most Ubisoft games do within a year of release) I would strongly recommend picking this up. By that point the online aspects will have released, the DLC will also have hopefully released and the glitchiness will hopefully be fixed. It's a VERY fun game and I'd recommend it to anyone who's a fan of GTA style games. There are a few downsides, but most of my problems with the game are generally pretty minor. If you see this for 20 dollars in a few months, I'd strongly recommend picking it up!

Игра впринципе хороша, но баланс поломан из-за того что систему урвоней вырезали, из-за этого игра стала слишком лёгкой. good enough graphics, fine storyline (don't expect anything deep), npc's are more alive than in last game, hacking is basically same as always.

It's so funny to read "reviews" from users who haven't even played it. But i bet they would pirate it by any chance lmao. London is beautiful, game is fun enough. Ubisoft is clearly back on track and i'm more than happy for it. Ubisoft is amazing company that makes tons of different games every year, more than any other company could even imagine doing. And yes i'm saying that as hardcore Rockstar Games fan. Watch Dogs Legion improves on (almost) every aspect over previous game. It's fun, it's interesting enough. There's tons of stuff to discover and do. What else were these people expecting who leave 0's? I bet none of these losers even cared if this game comes out or no, their whole meaning of life is just whining about video games, instead of actually enjoying them. I guarantee they pirate cyberpunk day 1 tho. Expand

Haters really tried to take this one down huh? lol. It wasn't nearly as bad as this user score, but it's not must buy if you don't care about watch_dogs games.

Nothing special, but still fun enough open world to mess around with. London looks great.

It wasn't anything amazing, but it was at times pretty fun and it wasn't nearly as bad as this user score.

This game deserves so much more attention, even if it's just for that beautifully created London.

If they actually wanna save this game, they need to release multiplayer or Aiden's DLC fast. London looks great, but they need way more. I'm hopeful tho.

London looks beautiful, first time ever any video game has modern London. Story is meh, but DLC's are really promising. If you liked Watch_Dogs 1, i would recommend this.

The first few hours are fun and assembling a squad is fun, recruiting anyone. However, missions get repetitive and even become duplicates when recruiting. The driving feels soulless and it does feel a bit hollow, like Ubisoft games often do. It isn't a bad game but it is a disappointment as they had a really good formula. After the events from the previous Watch Dogs titles, Watch Dogs Legion is just a soulless sequel that that doesn’t meet expectations to fans that loved the first two.

It's pretty average. By now I've played about 20 hours and seen most of the game. Most missions require you to drive to part a of the map, hack some stuff , drive to part b of the map, hack some stuff maybe drive to part c and hack some stuff aswell. The highlights are probably the ending missions to the games storylines which are way too far apart from each other, which gives meIt's pretty average. Un joc foate interesant prin felul lui de a fi , neavand un personaj principal. Voice acting este foarte comic dar bun totodata , cu unstoriline interesant. London este creat foarte bine si detaliat .My final verdict is a strong 8.8, i enjoy a lot this game , is funny and greate

Watch Dogs: Legion is far from perfect. It tries to tell a story about resisting oppression via the power of the people, but the concept of making any character in the world a viable choice means that the experience ends up being too broad and vague. I was able to spice things up by bringing my own roleplay to characters and used items that weren’t necessary, but this was my way of compensating for the ways in which Watch Dogs: Legion falls short of what I want from a triple-A adventure.

What you’re left with is a game that delivers a greatlooking futuristic London, and not much of anything else. It suffered a hefty delay, and the series transitioned from Ubisoft Montreal to Ubisoft Toronto. Something has been lost here, and we can’t help but feel that the commitment to making any character playable is the core issue. That’s been made possible, but just because Ubisoft could, that didn’t mean the developer should have. [Issue#182, p.147]

Watch Dogs: Legion is undoubtedly the best of the series, the one that is closest to bringing the experience promised by that trailer of the first game. Hacks are useful and the lack of a fixed character ends up making DedSec the true protagonist and, since we recruit, control and manage the operators, in the end we end up feeling part of the resistance.
