    Even though the game had a Day One patch I experienced more crashes on this game than any other game on my PS4 Library (excluding Fallout 4). The standard hacks like cellphone distractions and currency stealing are completely downgraded and limited by a cool-down that takes way too long to recharge. Character models have stiff, copy/paste animations from previous WD games, awful lip syncing and no real variation in voices other than a slight modulation that makes the dialogue even more cringe-worthy than it already is at times. There's no in-game phone with built-in apps to try out or even a media player so you can listen to songs when you're on foot so at times, the game feels empty in terms of soundtracks other than what's available on the car radio. The game just isn't really innovative in any way other than being able to recruit anyone walking around London. But there's really no incentive in having multiple recruits other than using certain perks to complete missions quicker. All in all, it's a half decent game but it needs a LOT of work. The only thing I'm looking forward to when it comes to the game now is the DLC with Aiden, Wrench and the other new characters. Unless you have absolutely nothing else in your games library to play DON'T FALL FOR THE HYPE TRAIN UBISOFT THROWS US IN FRONT OF EVERY FEW YEARS! WAIT FOR THE GAME TO GO ON SALE!… Expand

    Does this game have fluid gameplay and controls? No. Does this game have a great soundtrack? No. Does this game have fantastic graphics? They are ok. Does it offer exciting multilayer? No. Will it? Maybe. Will this game make you want to play it for hours and hours? And    Is this game a 9 like Witcher 3, Bloodbourne, God of War or RE2? No.

    So what does it offer? A game released during a pandemic, that feels like it was built in the middle of a pandemic. Boring, Slow, Repetitive, Wonky, the list goes on. Its sounds promising with the whole recruit anyone bit. But, its not as great as it sounds. I'd create my own operatives.

    In 41 years of being a gamer, I have never played a game that is this painfully boring. At least with the awful games I have played, I was busy laughing at how bad the games were. There was not a single second in this boring pile of garbage where I was entertained. The missions are extremely boring and repetitive and nothing feels rewarding. The gameplay is garbage.

    The physics are laughable. The driving mechanics are pathetic, the vehicles don't even have any physics. The car customization is poor and limited. All you can change is few colors and skins. I can't even change the wheels. The graphics has those same atrocious lighting effects every Ubisoft game has, everything looks like it's covered in cake frosting. The story is trash and the voice acting is lazy. There is nothing to do in the open world. All you can do is drive around and play stupid darts. There are too many bugs and glitches.

    The developers rushed the game, because the multiplayer isn't even available yet in this unpolished poor excuse of a game. The past Watch Dogs games had invasion at launch and the developers were too cheap and lazy to give it out at launch this time. The developers heavily advertised the "you can play as anyone" thing, which is nothing more than a gimmick that gets old fast. I am a fan and casual player of both previous instalments, which had a great single player experience. The DLCs of both Watchdogs and Watchdogs 2 were also great. I mean, it is just boring and you are not at all invested in playing. Why? Who cares. Your character is a transparent 'thing". It really is just a thing. You will play a bunch and realise, why am I doing this. There is no real interest behind my characters. Why are they? Who are they? Who cares if they live or die? Why do they talk as if this is an SNL skit with brits? Drop this game altogether. Don't bother. The only way to play it is by paying a ton of money to "unlock" as playable characters the old ones (i.e. Aiden) and then try to play it with recognisable characters. You will pay a lot.     Compared to watchdogs 1 and 2, this game is just awful. The voice acting is cut and dry, the lack of unique guns, and less customization that watchdogs 1 the game feels incomplete. the only thing holding this game up is the DLC, which is great. I expected more from a game like this.

Honestly, I think that the entire swapping out operatives element should have been dropped or sidelined somehow. I just can't get invested in the story or anything that's happening.     The worst and most unforgivable thing about the game is its creator stubbornness in bring a 60fps mode to next gen consoles. Apparently it got ray tracing and runs in 4K, how hard would it have been to lower the resolution to 1440p and remove ray tracing for a Smooth experience. Once the new machine are out I wont buy a single game that is running a 30FPS. They dont have the CPU to blame anymore and consumers should expect better.    … Expand

    do they never EVER learn? Beautiful world of London, but nothing interesting to do there.
    Waste of money - now Im really doubting Valhalla.
    Watch Dogs Legion is a game, that's fun for a couple of hours.

    the character design is very bad, there are rare people you will see in London.The graphics are still at the far cry 4 level and the FPS drops, although the graphics card is good too. The story is not realistic, rather absurd, the game in general did not satisfy.

    if you're looking for graphics and immersion, still this game is not the best out there.

    I feel like Ubisoft has run out of ideas and they just force themselves to make a game every now and then to stay consistent.

    Absolute garbage. It's clear that there isn't a single passionate employee over at Ubisoft. Their games are empty, soulless garbage and Watch Dogs: Legion is no different. Do yourself a huge favor and spend your $63 on something else, on ANYTHING ELSE. Don't be like and waste your money on this garbage.

    PLEASE...DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. I let my excitment get the best of me and I will be completely honest about this game. The A.I SUCKS. The Police just stand around most of the time, they dont care about anyone else but your actions!! Theres no cops vs gang warfare, the A.I has the same boring **** animations and the recruitment system was only used to mask the HUGE amount of laziness in this game.

    Stupid A.I, Repetitive missions, Cant go in stores, drones do all the witnessing now. No one calls the police anymore, being a cop only means unauthorized access. No cop vs criminal gang warfare anymore, repetitive fight animations. All A.I feel the same, A.I target you despite getting hit by others.

    Game is constantly crashing even after downloading and installing a patch. I can't play for more than twenty minutes before the game crashes, ruining mission progression. I have experienced at least twenty such crashes, rendering it virtually unplayable

    I just didn't feel connected to the world. The idea of being any character seems great on the surface but it also means you have no character to relate to and why their journey is important.     In the game you go after a woman who leads some group called Clan Kelly which are involved in organ harvesting. The head of Dedsec is also a woman (fine), but then so is the lieutenant. Not only that but nearly all the guards at all the locations are women (this made me laugh the most and felt so out of place). Imagine in a video game they have a hospital and you walk into the maternity ward and all teh nurses are men looking after the newborns. It would be ridiculous right? Some wokeness is ok and I can handle it but this is so over the top woke that it's nearly unplayable just from a story/game environment stand point. But to add to it the gameplay is very boring and repetitive. You go to each area and just do the same thing with the cameras and the spider drone.

    I hope enough women are into a game about hacking the city because I feel like I'm not represented in the game at all. Thus the game must not be for me (that is the woke logic right? Can't be what you can't see). So fine. Let 40 yr old soccer mom's buy the game.     … Expand

    A Jogabilidade é boa (apesar de reciclada), e o gráficos são ótimos! Mas a falta de um protagonista meio que mexe muito com o jogo, pois os personagens não tem personalidade, como o design dos personagens é horrível e vários tem vozes semelhantes, e a história foi bem clichê e não é tão interessante. O jogo tem uma ideia incrível, mas foi desperdiçada facilmente.

    Dumbed down compared to the first two. Recruiting anyone was cool and it's visually stunning on ultra but that's about it. became boring and repetitive real fast. Was expecting chaos on the streets after conquering a zone with civilians rioting against Albion but nothing changed at all. The game got that traditional Ubisoft disease collecting trash! This detracts from the overall story. 5. Fight mechanics are extremely limited and create a very boring element. 6. Exorbitant prices for cosmetics in the store. Positives. 1. Driving mechanics are great and a lot of fun. 2. The story is rather engaging and keeps you plodding forward. 3. Plenty of elements to engage with in the environment.     Nothing special about the game. I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it either. It’s not a game that I can sit there and play for hours and hours or even think about when I’m not playing. It’s pretty cool that you can recruit anyone, but they really don’t do too much with it. The characters have different abilities and perks like in State of Decay, but unlike State of Decay they don’t reallyNothing special about the game. I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it either. It’s not a game that I can sit there and play for hours and hours or even think about when I’m not playing. It’s pretty cool that you can recruit anyone, but they really don’t do too much with it.     Ps4. Horrible sound glitches and frame freezes. It's a common problem from what i have seen on reddit. Disgusting that this game is so bad and they charge you 60+ dollars for it. Last time i will buy something from Ubisoft close after release

    1) I was so excited to hear so many different british accenents when I knew that next part will be London. But ubi just cut English voice option from Russian edition and we have to suffer and listen to this nonsense.
    2) Unreal lags on PC even with low settings. Annoying fps drops.
    No one should behave themselves as CDPR does but it is better to postpone your game than realise it like that.

    É simplesmente a pior merda que já joguei na minha vida, as missões são extremamente repetitivas, os personagens são obviamente sem carisma nenhum, o dedsec é de novo um grupo de rebeldes sem causa e não faz sentido nenhum recrutar um pedreiro que quer se aposentar, e do nada se torna um hacker de primeira e luta igual o John Wick. Quero o #WATCHDGOSE32012.

    Gameplay is good, but technical page of the game is sooo bad, in 30 minutes game crash AT LEAST 5 TIME!! customer service doesnt work and ubisoft do nothing bugs and crashes.. i like the game, but technical page of the game send this game to 0!!! When ubisoft repair and patch all issues my rating is something about 8, but now its's 0.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So I came into this not knowing what to expect, given the vast differences between the first and second games, and with them adding the 'recruit anyone' into the mix, it was at least guaranteed to be a novel experience.

    But.. the novelty quickly wore off.

    I don't want to waste anymore time on this game than I already have (86% trophy completion), so I will simply list out the Pros and Cons - Cons first.

    Cons

    - Main campaign is basic - it is fragmented and doesn't take the time to build into any meaningful interactions with either the team or the villains, to top it all off it is super short - I'd say around 9 hours for the main campaign (including watching all cutscenes, which were not that compelling at all)
    - Writing - as mentioned above - not very compelling writing - I seemed to get the same quests over and over again when recruiting people, which made it very boring and predictable - not sure if there are more than 5 recruitment quests tbh.
    -Bugs - too many to mention - main one would be cars bugging out, people not getting into cars when rescuing them etc, a trophy - oral history - bugged for me - thats when I decided to abandon the plat
    - Graphics & Voice Overs - the characters lip syncing was horrible, graphics were pretty average, and tbh the graphics from the second game were far better imho - I get that London, especially dystopian police state london is meant to be a lot more dreary than SF, but the attention to detail was just not where it needs to be for a AAA.
    - map size - while this was decent, it was annoying being told I was leaving london and being teleported back to the middle of some random street when trying to fly a cargo drone to an objective, seriously - this is the same company that made AC odyssey, couldve at least given us a map that went past the outskirts.
    - sound effects - the car sounds are horrible - and too quiet - this is the same company that made the crew and the crew 2, both with decent sounding cars - i don't see why assets can't be shared in this instance.
    - some of the characters have the MOST annoying accents, made it intolerable to listen to them.

    Final one - it is just a boring, repetitive game - it could've been so much more with a compelling story, greater interior interactivity, more depth to hacking, but it feels like they've created 100 different professions and then just assigned random stats to them - most of which are recycled across multiple professions - eg an electrical engineer will have a wrench as a melee weapon, so will a construction worker.

    So yeah - just super disappointed with this game. I don't recommend buying it until it is heavily on sale.

The game makes the spiderbot an optional gadget but it’s so often needed to progress the story it just gives you one anyways next to the area you need it. Gadgets and weapons inventory and selection is clunky in terms of navigation and very limiting in terms of what you can use. Same with car options and cars are just so bad to drive again, worse than watch dogs 1 clunky mechanics. The design is basically fetch quests after fetch quests with the occasional spiderbot/drone/hacking to break it up from time to time. There’s no reward system that feels rewarding collectibles aren’t anything, there’s some graffitiing billboards but it doesn’t do anything or Reward you anything. Much like most of the game it’s just a hollow option for filler. The game mechanics are wonky as hell. The combat is just one button to hit, one button to grab, one button to dodge. It gets very repetitive and boring. You’re limited to the type of guns you can get depending on your operative and there’s no rhyme or reasoning for it. The map feels bland, generic, and lifeless. There’s more npc roaming around but it all just feels pointless. Youd hacks from previous games are almost existent. You can’t money hack unless your operative has that, there’s no black out hack, not traffic lights hack, no steam bursting from the ground hack, there’s no cranes to hack, and even something as simple as hat surfing is almost impossible. you can’t walk into stores, most inside buildings beside 1 to 2 floors become a loading screen, interiors often repeat themselves, level design is copy and paste, no enemy variety, After a while this whole game just feels like the same fetch quests with no rewarding feeling. A tremendous disappointment. But the worst of it is the numerous technical issues that plague the game. Literal game breaking bugs. Horrendous screen tearing. Audio not coming in. Button prompts not appearing. The game crashes after an hour or so. The worst offender — There’s no manual save. So the game crashes and crashes and there’s only an occasionally working auto save. When you try to exit through the menu it crashes. When you play the game it crashes. When you put your system into rest mode it crashes. Twice I’ve have my save file corrupted from crashes and I can’t continue. 15 hours in crashes corrupted. 29 hours in crashes and corrupted. The game is boring, repetitive, uninspired and literally unplayable.… Expand

Ubisoft has been pushing this. However, it does not translate into a fun experience.     Cons: Bad graphics (old and rusty) Very dull and not motivated story line. Enemies are lacking motivation and a lot of cliches. Filled with bases which should be controlled and overtaken (bad remark and idea from AC series) Stupid AI. It’s just bad. Believe me... Bugs
    And finally, Micro transactions in a game costs 60-100$ edition!!!

    Furthermore, the UI changed and it’s awful, they removed “car-on-demand”, the uber-like app and more... They even removed the MP3 player! Now to listen to music/podcasts (which are decent to say the least), you’ve got to pause the game.

    In regards to the story, it’s dull, you don’t really do anything interesting and the tasks are extremely repetitive, you go to a certain place, you “hack” something (L1+X or triangle, depending on the hack) and wait for a bar to go to 100%. I found it extremely boring.

    Now, I personally enjoyed the map design, London was correctly recreated and the atmosphere was great. However, there were no interiors despite the DedSec HQ and the city didn’t feel alive despite of the new “play as anyone” feature — I’ll get to that later. The AI was worse than in the previous games, it’s bluntly ridiculous considering that it’s a AAA game. And the graphics were fine I guess, slightly better than the other game.

    The game is pretty buggy, but it isn’t unplayable, it delivers what they want to deliver I guess, which isn’t that good. The PS4 optimization however, is really bad, the game crashed countless times.

    The “play as anyone“ feature is not that interesting to be honest, voice acting isn’t good, only few “skills” are useful or remotely interesting, characters don’t have any backstory or anything appealing as well.

    You might think that a 4/10 is high for what I said, but the game isn’t unplayable or anything like that, you can play it but it’s not enjoyable imo, it seemed like a chore. Not worthy of the price I paid, you might like it if there’s a really good sale for it.    … Expand

    A mediocre game with some nice mechanics that are more than cancelled out by the game's dialogue and characters being the most annoying I have ever come across. I can play this with the sound off for about half an hour before it becomes tedious. With the sound on I want to kick my TV in before it even gets to the main menu. I was quite thankful when it crashed on me earlier

    - Story itself is at least serviceable

    What’s meh:
    - Driving is fine. Not good, but functions well enough to move around the world at a speed greater than walking
    - Currency system and customization is okay, but honestly felt lacking in options and true customization
    - Enemy’s have enough brains to pose “some” resistance, but by no means feel smart

    What’s bad:
    - Recruitable characters feel shallow, poorly acted/generated, and poorly planned. A nemesis system might have worked better, with a singular core character and lots of disposable recruits to bring in. I never felt much of an attachment to my characters, and didn’t care when I lost them as I could just get more.
    - Hacking feels worse than in previous games, with some abilities locked to certain characters. There aren’t any blackout or gang-call type abilities that would have wowed me.
    - Melee, as the majority of combat you see, isn’t very fun. It can feel frustrating or way too easy, but never a perfect balance. I just ended up dodge-punching everything for as long as I could.
    - Optimization, even on PS4 isn’t great. Long load times and a few crashes have soured my experience during my play through.
    - Little to do; Liberating the map as quickly as possible might make the game much less fun for you. Doing so clears much of the Albion presence, reducing the amount of conflict you are in. Doing so is also pretty easy, taking only a few objectives per district in order to reach Defiant status.

    All in all, I wasn’t particularly thrilled by my experience with Legion. It clearly wanted to do something ambitious with its “play anyone” mechanics. However, I believe that it should have either a.) had a single, well-written protagonist with a cast of characters to match, and then put in some sort of nemesis system, or b.) had a customizable first character to function as leader to the others.     I was hopeful for the game, but I shouldn't have been. The game itself is basic with the hacking game play, there was no change or improvements. The game over all lack substances just like WD2, their are so many missed opportunity for the game to have grown and improved on but they stayed with the bear minimum. Its sad really because it gives me no hope for the future releases.

    Crashes and a boring, lifeless, soul crushing city make up this newest entry into the Watch Dogs franchise, and unfortunately, not be design. If you can make it far enough past the crashes to delve into London itself you will find a lifeless city full of people, that according to the subtitles are talking but can't be heard.

    The game is riddled with bugs that make it unplayable. Will regularly crash and textures wont load. Dialogue is flat, characters look worse than Watch Dogs 2 and story is forgettable.

    fine gameplay and graphics but the story and characterization is the worst part.
    full of repetitive missions and dialogues, it's not even a good open world game.
    littreally there is nothing to explore in the world of the game and nothing to enjoy.
    if you need an advice before buying just telling you, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY !
    it's such big failure for Ubisoft

    Это сложно назвать игрой,учитывая что с 2013-14 не физика,не графика у серии игр не изменилась. Единственный + это красивый город.

    Watch dogs was never any good. It's just GTA V without the detail. Bad voice acting and generic plot. Ubisoft ruined Assassins Greed btw.

    Super crashy and buggy. From being unable to launch the new buggy launcher to the game refusing to run without blue screening or CTD every 15 mins to hanging when exiting the game and being stuck and forced to alt F4 which was a Russian roulette of corrupt save file or not to be stuck in buildings and under the world if you exit a car the wrong way or at the wrong time....its just a buggySuper crashy and buggy. Even met an irishman with a cockney accent. The gimmick or recruiting multiple characters is just that. you DO NOT need to switch to someone with the right skill set at all ever. Want a flying cargo drone then get the agent with right skill? Nah just hack one and ride it. Can do whole game with one character. And over-reliance on spider bot bugs the **** out of me.… Expand

    Watch Dogs: Legion is far from perfect. It tries to tell a story about resisting oppression via the power of the people, but the concept of making any character in the world a viable choice means that the experience ends up being too broad and vague. I was able to spice things up by bringing my own roleplay to characters and used items that weren’t necessary, but this was my way of compensating for the ways in which Watch Dogs: Legion falls short of what I want from a triple-A adventure.

    What you’re left with is a game that delivers a greatlooking futuristic London, and not much of anything else. It suffered a hefty delay, and the series transitioned from Ubisoft Montreal to Ubisoft Toronto. Something has been lost here, and we can’t help but feel that the commitment to making any character playable is the core issue. That’s been made possible, but just because Ubisoft could, that didn’t mean the developer should have. [Issue#182, p.147]

    Watch Dogs: Legion is undoubtedly the best of the series, the one that is closest to bringing the experience promised by that trailer of the first game. Hacks are useful and the lack of a fixed character ends up making DedSec the true protagonist and, since we recruit, control and manage the operators, in the end we end up feeling part of the resistance.
