    If you have PS Plus for the month, this newest edition of Virtua Fighter 5 is an immediate recommendation for fighting fans. But it's worth mentioning that spending $30 for those who would otherwise only have access to the barebones offline content is a huge waste of money.     Why are they want to feed us with this again? New graphics, ok, but again, it's remaster of remaster of a 2006-7 game with the same amount of content, characters and freacking stupud sound work (voices and sounds of kicking and this sort in particular). Totally wait for changes there, devs should add some DLC or just guest characters like from Yakuza series or else. Technically gameplay isWhy are they want to feed us with this again? If you're not a fan of fighters like, where you need to learn moves to master it, not just play it for fun and story, it's probably not for your eyes, but you still can play couple of decent rounds online or beat your friend.… Expand

    Напомним, Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown представляет собой ремастер оригинальной игры с графикой на основе движка Dragon Engine (серия Yakuza, Judgment) и рядом дополнительных функций и нововведений.

    Как стало известно, в состав Legendary Pack входит более 2 тыс. предметов для изменения внешности, 19 альтернативных костюмов для персонажей, 40 печатей для режима зрителя, а также 180 новых и классических вариантов фоновой музыки.
    Кроме того, дополнение предложит воссозданный интерфейс и модели персонажей из оригинальной Virtua Fighter. Как это всё выглядит в ремастере, продемонстрировали в новом трейлере.
    «Восстанавливать старые модели всех 19 персонажей для современной игры было довольно весело: наши дизайнеры создали по две “классические” модели для каждого бойца, в том числе для новых из более свежих частей», — поделились в Sega.

    Дополнение Legendary Pack уже поступило в продажу для PlayStation 4 отдельно (719 рублей) и в комплекте с самой Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown (2149 рублей). Приобрести одно лишь переиздание пока не получится.    … Expand

    The game mechanics are fine, and the Yakuza guys pretty much remade the game on the Dragon Engine...however, the game basically has no offline content, and since its a PS4 exclusive, you have to pay to play online...and I hear the netcode isnt good either.
    Only if you are a fan of the franchise...and on a sale.

    Virtua Fighter is a nostalgic trip to the arcades in the 21st century. If you want to quickly kick a friend's ass during a friendly meeting, this is definitely a good choice. If you expect discovering deep mechanics or an extraordinary experience from the game, too bad, because you won’t find them.

    It might be a lean offering, but it’s great to 7 see Virtua Fighter return, with mechanics that have aged surprisingly well – if matches play properly. [Issue#3, p.151]

    So, while this offering is missing options relating to customization and the netcode is just acceptable rather than industry leading, this is still a fighting game that has absolutely stood the test of time. It feels as fresh now as it ever has, and while it may not be Virtua Fighter 6, having an active Virtua Fighter online scene in the modern era is absolutely priceless.
