Unruly Heroes is a decent action-platformer that has a fantastic art style and genuinely looks beautiful. The platforming and combat, for the most part, is sound, with a huge amount of variety to find in the levels. However, the controls can be a little unresponsive and the game does have issues with some very forced 'comedy', though comedy is always subjective. Is Unruly Heroes worth buying? For what is a reasonably low price, it is a decent title to pick up and is worth spending some time with.

It offers some good ideas and fabulous artwork, but without fine-tuning those ideas and mollifying the overly-difficult ending, I finally understand why it got lost in the shuffle this year.

With a little more polish, this could've been one of PS4's better indie platformers. As it stands, Unruly Heroes is a beautiful game with gameplay flaws putting a dampener on things. It's largely a fun game to play, especially in co-op, but controls aren't as tight as they should be, and combat devolves into button mashing territory all too easily. The result is a decent, if unremarkable, side-scrolling action title.

Excellent art and level design. Really enjoying this game. Kind of like Raymond Legends/Trine.

(Update) Been playing this for some time now and it keeps getting better in terms of level design and gameplay, probably one of my favourite games to date this year. Usually I get bored after a week or two of playing but not with this.

I honestly love this style of game, though I wish there were some way to level or upgrade your characters. The art style and combat of this game feels fluid and has that king fu action that you would come to expect from a game set in this style. the level design is really well done, with the backdrops stealing the show at times. As of writing this review, I am about 12 levels deep at the moment and though challenging, I never thought any level design was unfair or overly hard. I highly recommend this to any fans of platformers. Full Review »

    Sonido: 9
    Jugabilidad: 9,5
    Diversión: 9
    Total: 9,3
