Contrary to what the other "reviewer" says, this isn't shovelware but rather Tetris with a slight spin on it. This is a versus mode between two wizards trying to see who can build their tower the tallest using Tetris blocks within the time limit. You can slow each other down using magic, which sometimes the spell only helps your opponent if they know how to capitalize or if they built well. For example, a straight block is about to fall and you make the block massive to mess with the opponent. The added weight may take down the entire tower, which would help you, or it could help them if they are quick on their feet and know how to use it (assuming their tower can handle the block). When it comes to placing the blocks, you have to plan their placement as there are no walls. Incorrect placement can cause a block to form a ramp or roll off the side.

I personally had a bit of fun with it. Is it worth the full price? Likely not. Maybe for around $5 if you want a game on your PS4 that's just for a quick couple games. I had a smile on my face when I played a few rounds. But this obviously is not meant to be played for extended periods of time unless you're really into Tetris. Since it's free for August, 2016 if you have PS+ then I say definitely go ahead and download it. It has local multiplayer so you can play against your friends (turn it into a drinking game, maybe). It also has online multiplayer. I'll give it a 7/10 and I say it's at least worth downloading for free and playing a round or two to see if you enjoy it.

This game at it's core is mindless fun. While some may be annoyed by its simplicity in my opinion that is what makes the game work. The game's single player is fairly lacking being the sort of thing most people won't come back to. Although in my opinion the online is where it shines. I found myself having a load of fun in the short sessions i had playing the games online. The game creates a good natural tension from watching your opponents build at the same time that can be quite engaging

Overall i would say the games worth a try while it's free on playstation plus and if it ever goes on sale. I would not recommend buying it at fullprice as you may feel it lacks replay ability after awhile.

    I give it a 6/10

Not bad, but this isn't a exciting game. Good for playing with somebody. Playing solo is boring. Positive in this game are many, many play modes. Good game for family meetings.

The easiest way to describe Tricky Towers is to say that it is basically Tetris in reverse, the idea being to use the usual Tetris blocks to build a tower as high as possible. fun game, sadly no online players whatsoever, the game is pretty difficult, and provides a good challenge, can be very frustrating at times, but overall semi-fun game.

Puzzle game tanto semlice quanto intricato. La fisica realistica lo rende originale.
Singleplayer noioso, ma carino come passatempo breve con gli amici.
Nel complesso é un gioco semplice con meccaniche originali ma comunque molto semplicistiche.
    voto 69/100.

We play it with GF sometimes. Good music and fun gameplay. But only 3 modes getting old very fast.

Tricky Towers may look like the sort of unwanted freebie that PS+ owners have been bemoaning for years but this is good. When you get over the fact that it isn’t quite Tetris, the clever game engine makes Tricky Towers the most addictive puzzler on PSN and with its well-populated online community, this is the perfect pick up and play game around.

A package that makes the simple act of stacking utterly cracking. [Sept 2016, p.108]

If you’re a Plus member and you haven’t yet downloaded this fantastic party game, I highly recommend that you do so quickly. Even if you’re not a Plus member, this game is certainly worthwhile if you have some friends that fancy a solid physics-based puzzle game.
