Placing that final keystone to solidify my creation has always injected a dose of lightheartedness to the experience. If you like building in any capacity, or are looking for yet another top-notch multiplayer PSN game, Tricky Towers is for you.

Tricky Towers may look like the sort of unwanted freebie that PS+ owners have been bemoaning for years but this is good. When you get over the fact that it isn’t quite Tetris, the clever game engine makes Tricky Towers the most addictive puzzler on PSN and with its well-populated online community, this is the perfect pick up and play game around.

If you’re a Plus member and you haven’t yet downloaded this fantastic party game, I highly recommend that you do so quickly. Even if you’re not a Plus member, this game is certainly worthwhile if you have some friends that fancy a solid physics-based puzzle game.

Not just an exceptional title that breathes fresh life into the traditional Tetris formula, Tricky Towers also gives a great account of itself for those folks looking to test their brains rather than their trigger fingers in both local and online multiplayer gatherings.

A brilliant physics-based puzzle/party game that merges Tetris gameplay style and Jenga mechanics.

Tricky Towers is a lot better than other party games, especially with three others it is a curse fest (in a good way!). Playing alone is hardly any fun though.

Tricky Towers is a new version of the classic hit Tetris. This time around it is possible to play the Tetris style game with multiple people. The singleplayer mode gets boring quite fast.

An innovative little puzzler that stacks up well, and will keep you entertained for a weekend.

Tricky Towers is a fun puzzle game with a good level of challenge, especially in multiplayer mode. It is a bit short in single player mode.

A Puzzle game that will make you genuinely laugh if you play it with some friends on a couch or online. Some great ideas make Tricky Towers one of the good surprises of the genre.

A nice little spin on the well-known Tetris formula, Tricky Towers is a lot of fun when you've got some friends to play it with.

If you’re approaching Tricky Towers with only single player in mind, there are probably far better ways to spend your time. However, take it online – or ideally get some mates round – and you’ve suddenly got a fun, competitive little title that’ll easily keep you amused for a few hours.

Tricky Towers is a nice and fun game, which will give you a lot of fun, specifically at parties. With a couple of drinks involved, this game will be a hit. Considering it is one of this months PlayStation Plus games, there is no better time than the present to download it.

Tricky Towers isn't particularly original or meant to be played alone, but if you're looking for a party game, it does have a lot of fun to offer.

Tricky Towers is an okay single-player game, but you’re going to want this Tetris-inspired skyscraper builder for some couch co-op. It’s easy enough to grasp, but it’d be a whole lot more satisfying if the balance of the game wasn’t heavily favouring the luck of the draw over actual player skill.

The single-player aspect of Tricky Towers is challenging, but can get rather frustrating due to its random elements. However, as a multiplayer game, Tricky Towers works really well. Its tower-building gameplay is incredibly easy to pick up and play, and it delivers fierce and fun competition that offers plenty of ways for players to mess with one another. Definitely recommended as a party game, or if you have friends and family to play with.

Tricky Towers is a good romp when playing local multiplayer with friends – the floppy physics add tension (both literally and metaphorically) and the spells make the gameplay interesting and dynamic. The gameplay suffers quite a bit in single player, though, and even though the price is cheap, the game does wear thin eventually.

Tricky Towers is not fun or enjoyable, but you might get something out of it if you’re a masochist.

A fun, whimsical arcade game that has cool single player puzzels and an endless high-score mode. The real treat lies in its multiplayer which reminds me of the frantic 4-player battles I had with Towerfall. A welcome breeze of fresh air on PSN/STEAM.

Don't think you will be dealing with a simple Tetris clone here, because Tricky Towers' game mechanics work quite differently. Basically we are dealing with a physics puzzler/arcade game where wheather elements, spells and your own actions have influence on how high you can build your tower. It is basically virtual Jenga.

Beautifully designed levels will fill your flatscreen with all colours of the rainbow and the comical, cartoony score and sound design will make you smile. I downloaded it on PlayStation+ but I would happily spend money on this great game!

Competitive physics-based tetris. What is not to love about that?

So there is only one mode worth a damn and that is multiplayer survival.
Competitive physics-based tetris. What is not to love about that?

So there is only one mode worth a damn and that is multiplayer survival. Nothing else is worth playing for too long. I tried the race mode but it doesn't have the same level of finesse required in survival since you can drop as many pieces as you want without getting punished. There are minor balancing issues ( i.e: overpowered power ups) but nothing too serious.

It's free this month of PS PLUS! PLAY IT!

Physics are key toThis is a great twist on Tetris, but you're going to get frustrated quickly if you don't realize it's a different game. Physics are key to building and it may take a few rounds to get used to them. I recommend practicing in the single player puzzle mode to learn how to balance your towers. Once you develop some strategies, you will feel in control of your tower building. Relatively easy to learn basics, that appear to have significant depth if you keep playing.

The single player trials keep pushing you to become better at the three different modes in the game, and the multiple online VS modes let you see how you rank against others.

I find the music a little grating, but it's easy to turn it off in the setting and shouldn't be a deal breaker.

If you like puzzle games, definitely give this game a chance.
