    It's late at night, my head is pounding, and I'm trying to figure out just what ruined this game so badly. To spare you a mindless rant, I've decided to separate my opinions into normal categories.

    Graphics: 7/10. A very pretty game, with lots of action going on in the background and crisp visuals up front. The explosions and other effects looked very decent.     Graphics: 7/10. A very pretty game, with lots of action going on in the background and crisp visuals up front. The explosions and other effects looked very decent. However, the horrid graphical glitching (pixelatwrion and major texture pop-in) really pull you out of the game. Not only that, but they'll ruin your run of a level if they appear in the wrong spot.

    "Story": 1/10. If I didn't know better, I would think that there wasn't a story to this game. Turns out, the so-called "announcers" are trying to tell you something. What that is, I'll never know. For the most part, there mindless droning on about everything under the sun will make you want to shut them up more than actually listen to them.

    Gameplay: 4/10. Don't get me wrong, I love Trials. I've sunk at least 400 hours into Trials Evolution, and gotten almost all the gold medals. This game is no Trials. The learning curve spikes with about 16 levels left, and it is harsh. But not harsh because the levels were cleverly made (they were all pretty **** really), but because the controls have been absolutely **** upon. ALL of the bikes feel sluggish and unresponsive, not ever even coming close to the twitch-control gameplay of Evolution.The whole trick mechanic is completely broken, like trying to give someone a surgery with a rotten mango. The tricks just did not work at all. Overall, the horrific gameplay really did make me want to cry.

    Audio: 6/10. The openong theme is... meh. This is better than Evolution's start up theme though. The rest of the audio however, consists of maybe 2 songs. They loop ENDLESSLY, and I had to turn them off entirely within an hour. The bikes did sound pretty nice though, with a better rumble to them this time around.

    Overall: 4.5/10 This game was the worst possible scenario. Unbelievably short, and repugnantly awful until the end. Don't give in to your temptations; avoid this game like the plague.    … Expand

    There's not a whole lot to say as there's not a whole lot to the game. There is a "campaign mode" which has you travel to tracks which take a minute at a time to beat on average to earn a Gold medal. There is no story mode.

    The gameplay is press the gas while you lean forward or back on your bike. The game is a side scrolling racing game on rails.     There's no on-line multiplayer, only couch which I did not try. The on-line tournaments feel like an extension of campaign as you stack your times up against other people.. but none that you play against live.

    The "announcers" repeat mostly the same lines on each course. If you're having a hard time with a course, prepare to hear the same speech numerous times.

    The graphics are really nice and your friends names showing up as you race is a cool feature so you know where you stack against those on your friends list. You can also customize your biker, which seems mostly worthless in a racing game where no one else will ever see you on a track with the lack of good multiplayer.

    In all, even the graphics and cool features can't help the repetitiveness of the audio and the gameplay.    … Expand

    I paid for the deluxe edition on PSN and wish I hadn't. It's good, but it's not worth the money to get the expansions as it's much of the same as before. In it's defence though it does look nice and is smooth. But not much of a step forwards from the first games.

Its mechanics are decent yet feel sloppier than Evolution. Where the game insults is the lack of track innovation. Evolution felt so fresh and bursting at the seams with ideas that this one just feels gimmicky, having you say "JeezThe game just comes off as annoying.     While the game is very polished on the visual side of things, it's mechanics feel glitchy. It's not something you feel during the easier first levels, but it becomes a complete annoyance later on - the bike/or quad behaves unintuively in some scenarios, and more towards the harder part of the game become a source of annoyance.

    I have completed every level with a gold medal, and I don't mind repeating levels in games but some here just felt awkwardly constructed instead of difficult. And the air tricks part of the game is ridiculously bugged with the rider getting tangled between the wheels and what not. Tony Hawk's had better technology 12 years ago.

    Overall - a pleasant game that I would recommend if you like challenges, but it would benefit from additional development and testing.    … Expand

The tracks are boring and thoughtless, and I usually can't even waste my time to make it through a single couse. I loved Trials Evolution, but this is trash. The whole game is a letdown.… Expand

(This BS compelled me to update this review) The gameplay and controls are excellent and on par with the previous titles, and FMX was a great addition. Red Lynx dropped the ball when it comes to customization. The body kits are OK, but I want to be able to change the color on every part of my bike! I hate all the white/silver strips and accents I cant change! I don't understand why devs would exclude simple features such as this from a new title like this! The leveling up was just a meh addition, and goes hand in hand with the track challenges. I'm a pretty good Trials player, I have zero faulted all the Inferno tracks, but some of these challenges were ridiculous! There shouldn't be challenges requiring you to zero fault and extreme track,. I could see this being a huge turn off to some, and is frustrating for someone wanting to get all the trophies/achievements. The future theme wore thin on me rather quickly. The AI voices grated on my nerves quickly, and trying to incorporate that story was just silly. The track editor was a disappointment to me coming from Fusion's editor. I was sad to see that there were no classic wood ramps or scaffolding etc. The game is fun, and worth buying, but I'm glad I did not buy the season pass though. If your coming from Fusion you may be disappointed as I was, but if this is your first chance to own a Trials game, get it!… Expand

    Trials Fusion is not that game.     The reason for this is the game developers don't know what is fun about their game, and for some reason feel that 10 second checkpoints of extremely hard (essentially luck based due to fussy physics/controls) and un-fun bunny hopping levels is what the later levels of a game like this should be. I would have hoped as you went further along, the more spread apart the checkpoints would get with longer stretches of needing to maintain good momentum to make the jumps and land correctly, but instead the checkpoints get ever narrower leaving the player to get lucky or die trying for each successive bunny hop section for whole length of tracks.

    The local multiplayer mode (no online) is also pretty worthless. It is again just small checkpoint sections pieced together as players rubber band each other forward until the end of the level and then whomever had the least "faults" is the winner (regardless of who crossed the finish line).

    The track editor and level sharing might be one saving grace for the game, but as of now, most of the created levels I tried were buggy, but it did have a few stand out tracks that were better than the included tracks in the game. I should also mention that the game crashed most of the times I used the share feature to post a screenshot to Twitter. The PS4 would allow me to Close Application and submit a bug report whenever that happened so only the game was crashing and not the system.

    Chances are if you get this game, the more you play and progress, the more you will end up hating it, and I doubt anybody would truly consider playing this game as "fun".

    If you are still interested in the game, then at least save yourself some money by getting just the $20 version instead of the $40 version. They are the same game currently, but the $40 version includes season pass which will bring some added content/features down the road.    … Expand

    This is definitely a worthy follow-up to Trials Evolution. If you liked that game, you will like this one. The graphics are excellent, and some of the backgrounds are extremely pretty. However, a few graphical glitches mar the otherwise unobjectionable presentation. I've noticed that the game is extremely prone to having delayed texture load ins when you restart a level, and on one level IThis is definitely a worthy follow-up to Trials Evolution. If you liked that game, you will like this one. The graphics are excellent, and some of the backgrounds are extremely pretty. However, a few graphical glitches mar the otherwise unobjectionable presentation. I've noticed that the game is extremely prone to having delayed texture load ins when you restart a level, and on one level I noticed an area would always load in late (there was a big white hole there until the texture for the dirt loaded). The controls are the same as the previous games, tight and fair. One warning before I conclude: this is a bloody hard game. Casual gamers should look elsewhere, as I imagine there are plenty of people who wouldn't have the patience to beat the game, and if you're a perfectionist and want 100% good friggin luck. As I said earlier, if you like the series than this entry won't disappoint. If you've never played this game, get ready for a challenge that is not unlike dark souls in how addictive and satisfying the difficulty is. If they fix all the bugs in this game, it would be a 9, but for now it's an 8.… Expand

    So seeing that I had never tried any Trials games or anything close to this before I was very skeptical about buying Fusions at first; however, the lack of games on PS4 right now pushed me to give it a try and I was not disappointed. This game is incredibly fun, challenging and overall entertaining. If you're like me and have never played a game like this I would encourage you to try the demo first because it can be extremely difficult and not appealing to some but overall it's great. I would like some more customization in characters and bikes but the options available are still what I had expected. What I didn't expect what the incredible track creator. The options and things you can make are amazing. A little difficult to learn to use at first but give it some time and mess around and the options are insane. I highly look forward to playing others' custom tracks. Also, I bought the version that comes with the season pass and I must say that I am very excited to see what they add in the future because this game has a lot of promise and potential.

    Pros:
    -Simple and Tight Controls
    -Exciting and Challenging Gameplay.
    -Outstanding Environmental and Physical Visuals.
    -Endless Custom Track Creation.
    -Very Fun Multiplayer.
    -Music. I think the music is great in most situations but sometimes it feels like there could be more.

    Cons:
    -Pretty rare but some small, noticeable visual errors do occur.
    -Editor controls take some real getting used to (They have tutorials posted online to get you started though)

    Overall, I really have enjoyed this game a lot in this first day of playing it. The first impression was very good and I can see myself picking this up and playing it a lot in the future. It has exceeded my expectations. I would not say its a must buy because the price plus season pass version will cost ya $40 but if you're looking for something new or are a fan of the Trials games this is an excellent game.    … Expand

    A fantastic game with barely any issues. The game has a fantastic campaign with hard levels that are rewarding when you finish the level and get a gold medal. The controls are flawless and the graphics very good. The gameplay is fantastic and is very addicting and just fun to play. The Level creator is fantastic and makes the games replay value higher with all the fantastic user generatedA fantastic game with barely any issues.     The good thing about games like this is that they never get old, I'll never want to sell this game, it'll always be fun. And it offers practically limitless content.     The good thing about games like this is that they never get old, I'll never want to sell this game, it'll always be fun. And it offers practically limitless content. You get about 70 tracks in the game on release date, which vary in difficulty. And you have tons of tracks to download from people who have created them. Not to mention the 6 DLC packs which will come out at a future date.

    The game is really quite challenging. When I got to the "Skill Showcase" I actually quit the game for a little bit because I didn't think I could do well. But practice makes perfect and now I've completed the whole game and got silver medals on all the tracks.

    The graphics for this game are also really impressive for a 2D dirt bike physics game.

    I don't see how you can give a game this fun and timeless anything but a 10/10. This is a game you can pick up and play and have fun with 3-4 years down the road.    … Expand

    First off, Its a Trials game so when i bought it i expected no more or less than what i got. Pick this game up if u are looking for a fun,challenging and addicting vehicle platformer.

    Firstly I think the controls are fine and work well. I've played a few hours of trials evolution before but nothing major, I think the everything except the customisation is an improvement, though the customisation is still better than most games. The integration of uplay is good and so are the rewards. The bikes are detailed and the map are less prone to glitches, with nearly 22000 mapsFirstly I think the controls are fine and work well.     Trials Fusion delivers a healthy dose of white knuckled adrenaline rush action, and man does it feel good. I found myself squirming in my seat on several occasions due to amount of intensity this game packs into each and every level. Trials Fusion offers a career mode that has several different landscapes or “Events” with their own climate and scenery. Your objective is to reach the finish line of each level and collect your medal. Medals are awarded depending on your clearance time and how many times you crashed or “faulted”. Progressing through the levels earns you new apparel, bikes, and body kits. Included with each level are 3 challenges, just little quirks you can do to gain some experience points. Some of these challenges can be finished with relative ease while others might make you stop and think of a game plan.

    Each Event also has a training level just to familiarize players with obstacles they will be facing in later tracks. My personal favorite was the training level that teaches you how to properly perform stunts. I enjoyed the idea of spreading out the training levels across the Events so that way I didn’t have to sit through one long tutorial. Along with the training levels players will also come across Skill Game levels that can also be complete for metals. These Skill Games can range from achieving the highest altitude off of a ramp to scoring a huge stunt score. In my opinion these are some of the best levels in the game and I wish there would’ve been more to mess around with.

    Players can customize almost anything they want in this game. Anything from costumes, body kits, and wheels can be interchanged and used to make all new combinations. Not only that, but if you can customize it, chances are you can colorize it to your liking as well. Players are offered a whole color wheel of different choices allowing you to truly stand out in the crowd. The different costumes are awesome and can be earned from leveling up or earning various achievements throughout the game. This goes the same for wheels and body kits which can be earned in several different ways. Feel free to customize everything to your liking and become your own creative identity.

    Now before we go any further i wanted to make a point to talk about the game controls. When it comes to being tight and well tuned Trials Fusion scores big. I felt I had complete controls of my character throughout the game. I was able to position my rider for a safe landing from ramps and falls with relative ease. Of course being able to do so is just determined on the amount of time you dedicate to the game. These controls are so simple and yet so well refined that I feel like RedLynx wanted you to know that if you crashed it was your fault, not the game’s. The implementation of the Trick system was really cool and added so much intensity to the game and a made players pose a challenge to themselves.

    The addition of challenges and skill games really made this game enjoyable for me and added a lot to the replay value. The early Events are pretty easy and rarely require you to let off the gas. As you progress through the Events making it to the finish does become a bit more of a challenge, especially in the last 3 events. In fact, my only complaint was that I felt that the learning curve was too extreme, it starts off easy and next thing you know you’re having to bunny hop across a ravine and ride up a almost perfectly erect wall. This quarrel however can be written off as just me lacking the skill to maneuver the bikes properly. That being said this game does require some time and patience. I’ll admit that I had over 50 faults in just one level. While it was frustrating to say the least, completing that level gave me an overly joyed sense of accomplishment. For our readers who are completionists and aim to 100% everything, you guys are in for a treat.

    The landscapes are absolutely beautiful to say the least. Trials Fusion runs at a silky smooth 1080p and 60fps for the PS4 and 900p and 60fps for Xbox One. The environments were so surreal and sometimes the environment interacted with the rider in ways that were incredibly clever. This relationship also worked in reverse, having the players impact the environment just by completing the level or certain challenges. I experienced no frame rate drops or rendering issues while playing through the entirety of the game.    … Expand

    I just think that Ubisoft should make a online multiplayer mode, it would match with the game, but we need to think about    Good game!     I had not played a trials game before last night, but I had heard good things about the game. And the things I heard were completely right. Trials is a simple yet fun and addictive game. And the things I heard were completely right. Trials is a simple yet fun and addictive game.     The level designs are amazing, with insane jumps, crazy loop-the-loops, exploding objects, extremely detailed backgrounds and a hilarious end animation once the run is complete.
    The graphics are super sharp, colourful and look fantastic. The sound is realistic and the soundtrack is a pumping futuristic feel good score keeping you excited throughout.
    There are plenty of unlockables, bikes, kits, rims etc and because it’s a Ubisoft title you can link up with uplay to earn cool items such as a squirrel helmet.

    Trials Fusion is an extremely irritating game if you don't like to try again millions of times. But if you do, this is certainly the game for you. You get to ride around in a 2D level, in a motorcycle.

    This game is terrible in my opinion. No multiplayer, resolution issues. No friends ever playing on PSN. Graphics are ok - seems like just another clone from previous games. New vehicles seem the same as bike. Not happy.

The content has been stripped back, the game-play mechanics dumbed down and so many features have been broken since launch it's not funny.     More of what you'd expect if you're at all familiar with the other Trials games. Just as fun and challenging as always, with new terrains and levels/games to explore and some weird new "trick" system thrown in for good measure.

So this game is a competitive leaderboard game, try to be the fastest racer or score the most points on the track, etc... I don't know how I missed the previous titles, this is the game I've always wanted to play. Basically it makes you master the physics of a MX bike (or one ATV so far) on tracks that are bursting with imagination. Some of the challenges are extremely difficult, like keeping your front wheel off of a certain part of the track, requiring perfect balance and timing on your part. When you master all of the tracks you have, you can go and make your own. Lastly, the developers have already announced 6 DLC packs, and have been constantly patching and tweaking this game. This is a cult title, you will either play through the courses once (or maybe enough times to get a gold medal) and afterwards wonder why you paid $20 for it, or you spend time to try to be the best and master the bikes and tracks to top the leaderboards, and feel your money was well spent.     It looks very.. pretty. It is definitely an upgrade from Evolution. And to those that say these are 'last gen graphics'.. Let's not forget that this is still a relatively small developer and the game is 20 dollars.

    The addition of FMX and the quad bike. While some people may not like it, I personally appreciate the effort in adding to the game so you aren't just grinding tracks all day with the same two bikes. The quad bike makes you learn a completely new bike that we haven't experienced before, and FMX adds something completely new to the game that is fun once you learn it well and it is a nice break from doing regular tracks. Even though the controls for tricks are pretty wonky. Another thing about FMX, if you are concerned that your skill on FMX tracks will effect your ranking on the global leaderboards, don't worry it wont. Just like skill games don't count, neither do FMX tracks. The quad bike tracks count though.

    Challenges. What an awesome idea, seriously. I am well aware that not everybody is like me where as they want to go back and platinum every track, or even try to better their time further after receiving a platinum medal. But this gives everyone a whole new reason to go back and replay each track. Each track has three challenges that you can choose to complete. Some are easy, while some are rather difficult.

    The level system. You get XP from completing official tracks with the highest medal possible, completing challenges, and what is also interesting is you can get XP from completing user created tracks, and that adds to your overall level. The level serves no other purpose than unlocking outfits for your rider, different wheels for your bike, and things like that. But it is definitely cool that you get rewarded for playing user created tracks.

    The track editor. I personally can't really speak for it, so take this with a grain of salt. But I have heard that they added a lot more items and apparently you can do more with the editor now. This is what I have heard, I personally don't use the editor. So like I said. Grain of salt.

    Cons:
    Less customization for bikes. This to me, really sucks. I loved being able to customize every color for each part of my bike in Evolution, and now the wheels and body of the bike are the only things you can change. Why they decided to do this, I have no idea. But it is a little disappointing.

    Sound. Gahhhh Redlynx WHY? The announcers are AWFUL. We fully understand that your sense of humor sucks, and we understand that because of the infamous Trials Evolution opening rap song. I'm just glad you can turn the announcers off, so thank you for that. The music isn't that great, but I think it's an improvement over Evolution.

    The 'thumbs up thumbs down' rating system for user tracks. This sucks. It really does. If I remember correctly, in Evolution you could rate user tracks 0 through 5, which makes a lot more sense. Sometimes I like a track a little, but certain things I don't like. I don't want to give them a fully positive or fully negative rating for that track, I should be able to rate it in the middle. All this causes is really crappy tracks to get rated 80+% positive, so you are led to believe it is fairly decent, when it really isn't.

    Uplay. Ugh. I saw this coming when I saw that they had Ubisoft as their publisher back when Trials Evolution: Gold Edition came out on the PC. While it isn't that big of a deal, it would be REALLY NICE if it would actually work. I know not everybody has this problem, but some of us do. I STILL cannot link my Uplay account, which causes me to miss little features of the game. Nothing huge, but it's still there. Fix it, damnit.

    Other thoughts:
    I have this section here to just talk about multiplayer. I am very disappointed that online multiplayer isn't available at this time, because that was one of my favorite features of Evolution. The reason this isn't a con, is because Redlynx says that they will add it later. Which I really hope comes sooner than later. But in my opinion, I'm glad they released the game now, rather than waiting for multiplayer to be finished. It gives everybody plenty of time to familiarize themselves with all of the tracks before diving right into multiplayer. Hopefully it will be even better than Evolution, and hopefully they wont have that crazy leaderboards glitch with multiplayer like they did before.

    If you have never played a trials game, check out the demo. If you like the gameplay, then go for it. It's worth it.

    Its known that the developers used the in-game track editor to create all of their tracks for the game, and it feels like they've relied too much on user content being generated by its community to flesh out a bare bones package.

    Aside from the lack of content, the gameplay is as solid as ever. The bikes respond well and the in game tracks are created very well. FMX is a new addition allowing the user to do tricks for points, however the 'ragdoll' physics of the rider flailing into a new trick position feels lazy and sometimes it is difficult to pull of a trick that you want. however it is still worth giving a try as it is quite fun.

    To add more replay value to the game, the developers have added challenges to complete on every track, ranging from simplicity of completing a few backflips to the insane of the screen flipping upside down. These added challenges provide incentive to replay levels, not only to best your friends score but to add a little challenge to the completion of each track.

    Overall the game is worth buying, but if you've been a fan of the series for some time, there may be some disappointments.    … Expand

    I love this game, its so easy to pick up and just play when your bored and no other game will cut it.

    Great scenery, level design, and physics. I think at £15 is a good price but should include all the extra packs for that amount, and they should have real branded motocross bikes with an actual upgrade system (exhaust, suspension, piston etc) this would add an element of quality and    I love this game, its so easy to pick up and just play when your bored and no other game will cut it.

    There’s something uniquely thriling about all the crazy futuristic touches in Trials Fusion, with sliding platforms and hoverships and weird purple alloys and force fields. I say that I couldn’t care less about all the customizable constume bits, but I still find myself playing dress up with my motorcyclist. I mean, I paid to unlock those costume bits, so I might as well use them.
