The usual, wonderful Trials game, with tons of stuff to do, a great learning curve, a powerful editor and some great new elements.

Trials Fusion is as addictive as always, a fantastic experience that balances complexity and nuanced simplicity in a display of level design power. The eight worlds are easily enough to justify the price tag, and the track creation tools will make us keep coming back for ages.

Trials Fusion is one of the best games on the PlayStation 4, there’s no doubt about that. Convince your friends to get it, and established relationships will turn sour faster than an Evel Knievel-esque stunt. Challenging, funny, and exciting – gaming rarely gets any better than this.

Trials Fusion is a good game. Great, even. It’s taken what we’ve all come to know and enjoy, and added in quite a few new longevity ingredients to the mix.

The user-generated content adds plenty of longevity, even beyond the promise of those six DLC packs over the next year and the new trick system – frustrating and difficult to master as it is – is a perfect fit for the game.

Fusion lives up to its name. Perhaps it wasn’t intended, but as a melding of the established template and something just new enough, RedLynx’s creation is a wonderful thing.

Trials fusion is pretty much the same as its predecessors. The great gameplay is still there, in a shinier outfit. The expanded Track Editor and extra challenges give the game a lot of replay value, and tricks make for extra variety. Trials Fusion is a great Trials-game.

If you have a tendency to rage quit and throw controllers, Trials Fusion may not be for you. Sometimes satisfaction is only found after hours of failed attempts, but the ease of giving it "just one more try" can be absolutely engrossing. The game’s outside-the-box goals are brimming with creativity, and the uncompromising level design pushes you to keep digging deeper to conquer every roadblock in your path.

The experience remains solid and addictive, but those who played the series before won't see a big evolution here. Still, the formula continues to work, so no one should be disappointed.

There’s something uniquely thriling about all the crazy futuristic touches in Trials Fusion, with sliding platforms and hoverships and weird purple alloys and force fields. I say that I couldn’t care less about all the customizable constume bits, but I still find myself playing dress up with my motorcyclist. I mean, I paid to unlock those costume bits, so I might as well use them.

Trials Fusion is a worthy successor to Trials HD and Trials Evolution. It sticks to the same formula of those games and adds amazing new minigames and fantastic new skills to it. It doesn't quite live up to the full next-gen potential, but it is still a very fun game, where you can put lots of hours trying and failing.

This has 'future' written all over it, but I don't really feel a substantial change. Sure, more Trials is always reason to celebrate, its base gameplay and level design are too fantastic not to. In the end, this feels like a really good update.

While the core gameplay is still excellent, stunt runs, upgradeable vehicles and connectivity with cash-hungry iOS release Trials Frontier all nudge Fusion further away from that classic, pure game of mastery where only player skill matters.

Trials Fusion is still a supremely enjoyable game, but it takes very few risks in its desire to stand the test of time, preferring to adopt the neutrality of a platform holder and stick to things that worked well in Evolution - a game with which you sometimes feel it should swap monikers.

Fans of the Trials series will likely enjoy Trials Fusion. Players who have yet to play a Trials game: Welcome to hell. Okay, maybe that's a tad extreme, but this is not a game for the faint of heart. Those willing to fight and endure will be rewarded a satisfying experience though, one in which the numerous deaths and crashes only add to the momentous victory as the player crosses the finish line.

Regardless of negatives, Trials Fusion is still a fun, yet hard-core twitch-based experience that will give you hours of pleasure (depending on your definition of the word), but the best part of it is still the competition it creates with your friends list, and with that in mind, I’ll see you on the leaderboards, folks.

With a few smart and unobtrusive tweaks to its thorny heart, Trials Fusion nails its balance between purity and cruelty. The new tricks system doesn't betray the game's simple roots, and instead makes a perfect landing seem even less attainable at times – and more rewarding. The primal pleasures of Trials live on and into the future, leaning forward just a tad.

Trials veterans will feel right at home with this latest instalment in the franchise, but they won’t be able to shake off that nagging feeling that something is missing, despite the new tricks on offer. Every aspect of Fusion feels like a less imaginative experience that coasts rather than strives for something better. There's no question that the core Trials gameplay within Trials Fusion remains fun. But the host of missing features and bad design choices make it a significant step backwards after Evolution and for the franchise.

Trials Fusion isn’t a bad game at its core, but its design doesn’t take advantage of the best parts of the series well enough, and the technical issues surrounding it all are a bummer.

What we’re left with is a product that relies more on promises and potential than what is actually playable. The tracks are boring, the tricks not worth bothering with, the attempt at storytelling laughable and far too much expectation rests in the audience to shape Fusion’s potential.

This game is incredibly fun, challenging and overall entertaining. The graphics are really quite impressive and the gameplay is a new and interesting experience for me. If you're like me and have never played a game like this I would encourage you to try the demo first because it can be extremely difficult and not appealing to some but overall it's great. I would like some more customization in characters and bikes but the options available are still what I had expected. What I didn't expect what the incredible track creator. The options and things you can make are amazing. A little difficult to learn to use at first but give it some time and mess around and the options are insane. I highly look forward to playing others' custom tracks. Also, I bought the version that comes with the season pass and I must say that I am very excited to see what they add in the future because this game has a lot of promise and potential.

    Pros:
    -Simple and Tight Controls
    -Exciting and Challenging Gameplay.
    -Outstanding Environmental and Physical Visuals.
    -Endless Custom Track Creation.
    -Very Fun Multiplayer.
-Music. I think the music is great in most situations but sometimes it feels like there could be more.

    Cons:
-Pretty rare but some small, noticeable visual errors do occur.
-Editor controls take some real getting used to (They have tutorials posted online to get you started though)

Overall, I really have enjoyed this game a lot in this first day of playing it. The first impression was very good and I can see myself picking this up and playing it a lot in the future. It has exceeded my expectations. I would not say its a must buy because the price plus season pass version will cost ya $40 but if you're looking for something new or are a fan of the Trials games this is an excellent game.

Trails Fusion, the sequel to the wildly popular Trials series aims to blow its predecessors out of the water. The game is slated to releaseTrails Fusion, the sequel to the wildly popular Trials series aims to blow its predecessors out of the water. The game is slated to release April 16th for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4, and an April 24th release for PC. RedLynx and Ubisoft pulled out all the stops on this game with tighter controls and enhanced graphics. So strap on your helmets and lets throw up some dirt as we get into the nitty gritty of Trials Fusion.

Trials Fusion delivers a healthy dose of white knuckled adrenaline rush action, and man does it feel good. I found myself squirming in my seat on several occasions due to amount of intensity this game packs into each and every level. Trials Fusion offers a career mode that has several different landscapes or “Events” with their own climate and scenery. Your objective is to reach the finish line of each level and collect your medal. Medals are awarded depending on your clearance time and how many times you crashed or “faulted”. Progressing through the levels earns you new apparel, bikes, and body kits. Included with each level are 3 challenges, just little quirks you can do to gain some experience points. Some of these challenges can be finished with relative ease while others might make you stop and think of a game plan.

Each Event also has a training level just to familiarize players with obstacles they will be facing in later tracks. My personal favorite was the training level that teaches you how to properly perform stunts. I enjoyed the idea of spreading out the training levels across the Events so that way I didn’t have to sit through one long tutorial. Along with the training levels players will also come across Skill Game levels that can also be complete for metals. These Skill Games can range from achieving the highest altitude off of a ramp to scoring a huge stunt score. In my opinion these are some of the best levels in the game and I wish there would’ve been more to mess around with.

Players can customize almost anything they want in this game. Anything from costumes, body kits, and wheels can be interchanged and used to make all new combinations. Not only that, but if you can customize it, chances are you can colorize it to your liking as well. Players are offered a whole color wheel of different choices allowing you to truly stand out in the crowd. The different costumes are awesome and can be earned from leveling up or earning various achievements throughout the game. This goes the same for wheels and body kits which can be earned in several different ways. Feel free to customize everything to your liking and become your own creative identity.

Now before we go any further i wanted to make a point to talk about the game controls. When it comes to being tight and well tuned Trials Fusion scores big. I felt I had complete controls of my character throughout the game. I was able to position my rider for a safe landing from ramps and falls with relative ease. Of course being able to do so is just determined on the amount of time you dedicate to the game. These controls are so simple and yet so well refined that I feel like RedLynx wanted you to know that if you crashed it was your fault, not the game’s. The implementation of the Trick system was really cool and added so much intensity to the game and a made players pose a challenge to themselves.

The addition of challenges and skill games really made this game enjoyable for me and added a lot to the replay value. The early Events are pretty easy and rarely require you to let off the gas. As you progress through the Events making it to the finish does become a bit more of a challenge, especially in the last 3 events. In fact, my only complaint was that I felt that the learning curve was too extreme, it starts off easy and next thing you know you’re having to bunny hop across a ravine and ride up a almost perfectly erect wall. This quarrel however can be written off as just me lacking the skill to maneuver the bikes properly. That being said this game does require some time and patience. I’ll admit that I had over 50 faults in just one level. While it was frustrating to say the least, completing that level gave me an overly joyed sense of accomplishment. For our readers who are completionists and aim to 100% everything, you guys are in for a treat.

The landscapes are absolutely beautiful to say the least. Trials Fusion runs at a silky smooth 1080p and 60fps for the PS4 and 900p and 60fps for Xbox One. The environments were so surreal and sometimes the environment interacted with the rider in ways that were incredibly clever. This relationship also worked in reverse, having the players impact the environment just by completing the level or certain challenges. I experienced no frame rate drops or rendering issues while playing through the entirety of the game.
