Three years waiting and The Division finally comes. And I have to say that this game is a masterpiece. Beautiful graphics, environment full of things, objects, crashed cars, realistic weapons, complete gear customization, very nice narrative. So let the apocalypse begin and just enjoy it!

It's like Ubisoft had a meeting and said, "We're going to show everyone how to make a video game!", because when you see the amount of money, creativity, detail, next gen graphics and vision that went into this game... there's really nothing else to compare it to. The Division is in a league of it's own. Gamers, this is the game we've been waiting for!

Played this all the way to 30 and DZ rank 40. The game is full of bugs that should have been picked up in beta or QA testing, menu glitches, crashes, item bag glitches, falling through the world, and more are all common place. PvP is a free for all and all the best PvE gear is locked behind it, the game is a griefers paradise. Do Not Buy This game.

The Division is a game many have been wanting for years. I'm talking about before it was even announced 3 years ago. Gamers have been looking forward to a good RPG Shooter that satisfied both Shooter and RPG enthusiasts in equal manner since shooter games existed. The Division is that game.

The Division is a game many have been wanting for years. I'm talking about before it was even announced 3 years ago. Gamers have been looking forward to a good RPG Shooter that satisfied both Shooter and RPG enthusiasts in equal manner since shooter games existed. The Division is that game.
It is clear and apparent that a lot of time was put into the development. In many ways it does so many things right and in few areas does it sell short.

GAMEPLAY - The best aspect of this game so far is the core gameplay. Forget about the RPG elements for now. This is a cooperative tactical shooter at heart. Is it the most realistic? No, but that is to be expected. Its a video game after all. If you want simulation play ARMA. The ability to fire and maneuver and play tactically with a team of 4 is exactly what you'll get with The Division. It is a fun cooperative shooter. Now the enemies are a little "spongy". Some are complaining about this saying " its unrealistic humans would die faster in real life". Yeah that is correct... Good observation, but, nobody complains when their fighting a dragon with a sword that's flying around spitting fire and talking at the same time. Nobody is sitting around saying "this doesn't happen in real life...."
Now when we start talking about the RPG aspect it is a little different than most and it doesn't have the depth that some RPG's on the market offer such as The Witcher. However it still satisfies. This is a numbers game and is a little complicated to soak in at first but any fan of the RPG genre wouldn't complain. After all that's what an RPG is all about. You can explore, buy, sell, craft, upgrade, and loot just like any other RPG out there. The Loot system so far for my play through has been a little unsatisfying but at this point I have not completed the game and cannot fully comment. I spent a few hours in the Dark Zone as well and seemed to have trouble finding something I wanted. Maybe I'm just picky.
Next I want to comment on the controls. I have only one small complaint here. I would pop out of cover all the time when I didn't want to and move around corners when I didn't want to. Well, apparently someone in the dev. team felt the same and put it in the control options to fix both of these issues. Now of course this was purely personal preference and not a legitimate complaint.

This is a great game. Graphics look fantastic for me (Dual 970GTX). Game play is fun. I do think it will depend heavily on DLC content, but then again, i think that' s been ubisofts plan from the start. Me and my 3 friends have had a great time playing! If you play with a group of friends, you cant go wrong.

The set up and gameplay is like any other Ubisoft game and is terribly uninspired. The storyline won’t leave a lasting impression, connect with you or have you hungering for more. Subsequently these factors combined with a lack of variety in the main story left us underwhelmed at the end of The Division. You should, however, spend time in The Division for its atmosphere; its beautifully crafted city is a true accomplishment. The dark zone PvP is great fun but requires a lot of dedication from the player but can so easily turn into a grind.

The best way to play The Division, is to load it up and go exploring, take your time to simply see what the city has to offer. Then team up with friends to alleviate the inevitable grind.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Just like Destiny you need to give this game a chance. I believe the additional content, updates and fixes to the servers will make this one of the best MMO hybrid RPG's to date. For now its kind of a rocky start. For some reason Uplay has issues with online games. Assassins Creed Unity was a good example. Great vision and idea but ended up going south due to the ongoing problems with the servers. Games need to move in this direction; Online campaigns and missions in an open world, playing with your friends like a dungeon crawl with a boss at the end and plenty of loot, customizations and items to collect on the way feels right. The Division's graphics are up to par, some lag during battles when things get crazy. The story gets lost at times and you really are not that interested. But at least they attempt to integrate a story into an MMO kudos for that. Looking forward to the future as I did purchase the gold package with the season pass. Hopefully Uplay has some tricks under there sleeve otherwise it may be a bust. I have faith the game will get better. So far a good fun game looking forward to all the improvements and what could be one of the best games this year. As of now the game gets an 8.0 but looks like it could move to a 10 hopefully soon. Hell, even my girlfriend bought this game to play it with me. And she also enjoys it fully, grinding, loot, side ops, fun story and amazing graphics in openworld. What's more fun standing together in a part of New York, behind her giving her cover, headshots, while she empties her machinegun?!

    Disappointed from the start...

I looked forward to the Division but after playing the beta i started to have doubts over the content. My friends said i can't judge full game on the beta but i wish i did. Right from the get go i was disappointed with customisations of my mute character. Very little options and not much personalisation i was expecting much more for an apparent RPG

Then there is the story if you can call it that.. the missions feel no different between each other and i feel no sense of accomplishment upon beating them. They are boring dull and repetitive, if you want play game for long periods of time, this game is not for you.

Now for combat i do enjoy duck and cover system but it irritates me that it take a clip to the head to kill a thug wearing a baseball cap and hoodie. I know its RPG but it just doesnt work for me a human doesnt survive a clip of an M4 to the head, or when set guy with gas canister on fire and they just brush it off or when you fire a grenade launcher into their face its just stupid.

Then there is free roam, or walking simulator as thats all i seem to do, walk around doing boring side quests for reasons i still don't know.

I think if Ihadn't played destiny id have appreciated this game more but Destiny bored me enough and this feels like present day Destiny

I will say though i do like loot system and weapons customisation i think they have done a good job here. Also the environment is designed well its just the content within it.

Game had great potential but unless raids they release soon are completely different, i dont see myself playing this game much more after ive completed story

Where to start? The fact that the environment is very bland. The story has no depth whats so ever. The AI is stupid. Audio quality is even worse that the graphics, I think that's the first time I have noticed this in modern over hyped game. And the dialog is the standard American security team stereotype, which is really not interesting to say the least.

The thing that killed it for me though, is that there is too many things going on the screen at once. "Press x here and here or there, press circle here, hold square, here is a really big box for your weapon status info" nothing is subtle. In addition to a lot of user interface features that seem like an afterthought.

Everything just feels so boring in solo play, and such a let down in co-op. Each encounter felt the same after the first few There is no stealth element to the game, just bad cover shooting; nothing else.

Shoot shoot walk, shoot shoot walk, oh look, I died; but this games so bad I just don't care. The AI is stupid, the graphics have taken a massive downgrade from the game footage we've seen over the last 2 years, and the variety in character clothing/attire is generic as everyone seems to be dressed the same.

Ubisoft have failed to deliver on everything they promised with this game. The Division is a repetitive, clunky, boring, cover based MMO shooter if you play with friends; and a really bad cover based shooter with a terrible story, a drab world and monotonous, repetitive, tedious missions if you play solo.

Maybe that's your thing? If not, too bad because you won't find any here. If you are new to duck and cover shooters, you are going to have a bad time since the tutorial is severely lacking. This game is very stat oriented, to the point that if you don't have blue+ gear, you are going to have a bad time. In fact, you are probably going to be forced to group to finished every mission and every mission is the same.

The game gives the illusion of choice with stacking stats and three different ability trees but there is only one stat that matters, firearms (dps) and one ability (healing) that matters. Everything else is pure garbage compared to these.

Right now there is no end game, except doing daily missions of the same again and again. The Dark Zone is a joke too. It's the same as everywhere else in the game except the enemies are even tankier, and other players can shoot at you. At low levels pvp like this is fun but at high levels the penalties for going 'rogue' take the fun out of it for very long. There are not pure pvp arenas either.

I gave this game a 1 because it managed to run on my PS4 without crashing, which is me being generous. Don't waste your money on this game.

The combat is fun and require legitimate strategy rather than just 'aim shoot bang u ded', and often requires coordination and communication between you and your teammates to effectively tackle an objective. On top of this, the visuals look absolutely fantastic on PS4. The snow-covered streets are an absolute blast to walk around and look at, and there's a sense of barrenness, but executed correctly, unlike games like Fallout 4.

For few quests, for few dungeons etc. Just to relax. To upgrade character. For me this is very solid game, with amazing potential. I highly recommned it to everyone.

It builds a strong foundation on the gameplay front, offering up rewarding combat and simple skills, but doesn’t follow that with anything substantial, being content to let the standard end game grind and excellent-yet-stressful PVP try to cover all the questions its writing leaves you with.
