    ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! This game is the most gorgeously rendered game I've ever played to date. So much detail! I have to give it a 10 because of the sheer scope of work it took to put this together, the size of the map and the fact that at launch it really had very few bugs. The seamless loading that occurs between zones is astounding. The only time I see a loading screen is if when IABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!     I got a server error once and about half hour after it launched so yeah servers were flooded. running fine ever since.

    groups work amazingly well and the seamless online gameplay is everything I hoped for.

    neg I agree with, many enemies are too powerful. example a lvl 8 mission on normal will give you OP boss fights that can melt you and will take almost your entire ammo supply to kill. levels have more and harder enemies with friends but with the correct tactics, they are easier in the end. going solo can be frustrating. I recommend doing missions 1-2 levels below your current if going solo.

    also some glitches here and there but mostly funny stuff, not game breaking, examples: group members on your screen start to "float" basically losing their walk/run animations. other very minor, saw some rats stuck in an endless loop of running in a 1foot space but if you can't laugh at that kind of stuff you aren't a true gamer at heart.

    Incredible well-made technically. I was afraid that there would be major bugs making multiplayer a horrible experience, but it is fantastically smooth and i have had 0 bugs so far. 0 Bugs. Its not even a lie. I cant think of one.

    Good game I'd say, but only if we talk about current (starting) state of The Division. And then I think about what a game it would be in 5 or 10 months of evolution and content development. I'd say it's AWESOME!)

    I've already played around 48 hours. I see alot of negative reviews from people who clearly haven't played much and likely don't grasp the game in it's entirety.

    To start I have to say, it's clearly a multiplayer game, so it works best for people who don't play alone. The game is a great 3rd person shooter mechanics wise, everything feels good, from taking voer, shooting, switching    I've already played around 48 hours.     The game is a great 3rd person shooter mechanics wise, everything feels good, from taking voer, shooting, switching guns or even throwing grenades or using a skill. Difficulty is solid with Destiny like options to increase difficulty for better loot. The game has a decent amount of content, easily more than Destiny at launch, but clearly the game will potentially be even better with more content in general, it's a good thing, IMO< the game leaves you craving more, and the have planned DLC's the next three months.

    The Story is average but the world and graphics are top notch.

    The best part for me is the PVP zone, the dark zone, intense fights with high end ads and intense extractions make for some of the best, most unique experiences you'll find.    … Expand

    I've been playing this game for 2 days now and I am have a great time. The world is beautiful. There is so much depth in the weapons and gear. I've had a great time playing the missions and letting the story unfold.

    Great game, I played Destiny at launch and can say this game is 100x better. The Division is well made, complex and the story is very passable. I am excited for them to expand the game. I have played since launch solo and with friends with 0 issues.

    This game deserve all the hype it has around it. Seriously, it's a blast. It's a lot of fun, DZ is fun as hell, just need a bit more tuning but overall, it's pretty good. Finally a pvp zone where your actions have consequences.

    I can't believe it has been 3 years already. This game is a blast! I can't believe all the different styles of games they fit into one. The guns are awesome, the graphics are awesome, the coop is amazing! Just a great game. Well done Massive!

    If you are one of those fans of this new genre mix type of game, this one is for you, and of course your friends, you're not getting the most of it if you play solo.

    You really can play single player and have a blast. It is even more fun with matchmaking. 24hrs in and I want 24 more. I generally play everything single player style, except when I use the matchmaker system for Story missions. I enter the DZ alone, and usually leave alone, using VOIP and grouping up as needed.     This game had a lot of hype and delays. If you're like me and didn't follow it and are taking this game at face value, it's a great game. Fantastic graphics and in-game UI, gunplay is very fun, world feels rich and alive with the random civilian encounters and passing conversations, and best of all (for me) they seem to have struck a perfect balance between the RPG and shooter elements.

    Struggling to understand the negativity here really. Ive played 10 hours and im thoroughly enjoying it. I have friends, mind you. So that may be a contributing factor. The game is fantastic. I fail to see why it is lower than 90 here, hope the reviews are better as they come in

    This game has mechanics that Destiny should have had. I enjoy doing quests and such for EXP and using EXP to level your character rather than just having gear you put on determine your level. Whether playing solo or in groups of four, the game is fun. I think if you merged the two games, you'd have the best game ever but don't sell The Division short. It's great in its own right.

    I just cant stop thinking about the game. I was really really sceptical when I saw the gameplay and heard about the idea but damn it, how I was proved wrong. Fun, beautiful and involving! Of course there are some baby diseases but you can really see the potential of it turning into something great in the near future.

    this game is amazing ever i playing, gameplay is great, graphic is very great. weapons, mods, gears are too many things to buy and equip, crafting mods. story is very good, there are variety of side missions are fun and enjoying do them. i ignore haters who said this game is horrible and has horrible graphic.. Great job by Ubisoft for this game

    And here it is. All the hype was real, this game is a BLAST and gives us everything that Destiny should have been a year ago. The shooting mechanics are 100% on point and the loot system is always driving you forward. Epic game.

    Fun game lot better then i thought it was going to be. Pretty graphics fun game play more fun with friends though but over all great experience. I watched some twitch streams before making my purchase and i must say its a lot more fun then watching someone play.

    A very enjoyable and fun game. It has some minor flaws, (many due to publishers still foolishly thinking consoles are the primary gaming market and PC is secondary) none of which take away from the enjoyment and experience. I highly recommend giving this one a go.

The story in this game is told visually. Look around, see dead people clutching their children, rows of flag draped coffins etc. Activate echos to see terribly sad past events happen before your eyes.

    1 point for cover system that works. Just like in the real world cover will save your life, use it.

    1 point for being a challenging game that forces tactics and team work. Smart AI that will try to flank you but isn't so smart that it knows where you are at all times. You can flash bang a group and move to get the upper hand again.

    1 point for making me dream about playing when I finally force myself to turn it off and get some sleep.

    1 point because I can't focus at work because all I can think about is getting home to play it.

    1 point for weapon customization options that are amazing. Find weapon attachments or craft them. Feels like you're constantly getting better as you find and craft items.

    1 point for an amazing skill tree allowing tons of different ways to strategize.

    1 point for a rewarding loot system that satisfies you way better than Destiny's loot system. You don't get overloaded like playing Diablo or Borderlands but you will still find yourself breaking items down to make room for new items. When you beat a boss you get multiple items that you can immediately use without being forced to return to base to see if your lottery ticket is worth a damn.

    1 point for a crafting system that works. You can find crafting materials or break inventory items down to create materials. You find blue prints as you play.

    -1 point for limiting your co-op experience to 4 (Future DLC may offer teams of 8 but that remains to be seen.)

    That's a grand total of 10 points.

    Be skeptical of anyone that gives this game a score lower than 5. That probably means they haven't even played it or they're die hard Destiny fan boys. That is because The Division is a serious threat to Bungie right now because it does right a lot of things Destiny got wrong. Destiny 2 could be amazing if they learn from this game.

    There are enough positives in this game for even someone that hates playing it to at least give it a 5.

    Don't buy in to the hype that the graphics are terrible because it doesn't look like the E3 demo. The game is beautiful. The atmospherics are amazing.

    I'm not going to tell you to run out and buy this game but my friends and I are having a blast playing it and if you like shooters and RPGs you'll most likely have fun playing it too.    … Expand

    This game - the best sandbox of Ubisoft. Why? Because it's online. All those boring mechanics of ordinary Ubisoft games become better when you play with your friends in a large and very detailed world. The game is very atmospheric and simply impossible to break away from it.

There is a huge amount of content before you become level 30, the maximum level on the normal map(in the dark zone the maximum is level 99).     Very enjoyable game and well crafted setting. Surprisingly complex as you can't go guns blazing even in the smallest fire fight.
    You always get to play with people if you want to and there is plenty to do in the map.
    Highly recommended.

    One of the best, most polished open world games i've ever played, from the graphics to the incredible sound design this game totally surpassed my expectation by a huge margin, awesome job Massive!

    Some say missions are repetitive, but they're crazy. Yes, the central gameplay mechanic is shooting, and that repeats - it's a shooter. But the tactical variety in the world and level design means no encounter ever feels the same. Vary your tactics, skills, weapons, verticality, etc and each fight is a blast.

    Solo or co-op are both viable and fun. Amazing game, world design is absolutely stunning, and plenty to discover and do as you explore this incredible game. Massive is clearly one of the best studios Ubisoft owns. Great job guys, lived up to the hype and then some.    … Expand

    A really fun game. The coop mechanics let you continue to play and enjoy it long after you've beaten it. I like that it's all about people: no monsters, etc.

    This game is a 10. It has progressed so well for me, and the end game is a blast as well with confirmed content on the way, sooner AND later. You would have to just not like video games to dismiss how great The Division is.

    This is like destiny but set in new york without weird and funky enemies.
    It is fun to play alone, it is more fun to play it using matchmaking. It is epic to play with friends.

And the way the game looks and sounds? Let's just say that the original E3 teaser footage really wasn't too far off--the graphics in The Division are simply stunning. Post-apocalyptic NYC is gorgeously rendered with sharp textures, realistic lighting, and amazing weather effects.     Absolutely love this game. The world is so absorbing and varied. Great start to what will surely be a great franchise. I love the loot progression. It is so fun gradually upgrading each weapon through modding.

    This is the game I'm waiting for since the E3 announcement. I have played the two beta before and it was really great. The game is beautiful and I'm having so much fun playing it. Of course, it's an RPG so the quest are kind of repetitive but it's ok. The only thing i'm afraid of is finishing the game. That's the reason one I'm doing all the secondary quest before the main.

    Amazing game with great amount of missions and hight drop rate, i've played 2 Beta and i have 20h on the final game.
    Destiny is not even close to The Division, this is the game for real MMORPG player

    (With friends is simply perfect)

    Great cover based shooter in a post apocalyptic Manhattan with co-op to boot. So far this game is great, looks great, the atmosphere is second to none. I'm not going to compare it to destiny like so many others as its a completely different game, I will say that its a great game especially if you have some friends to enjoy the ride with. The dark zone adds a new level of tension not seenGreat cover based shooter in a post apocalyptic Manhattan with co-op to boot. I'm not going to compare it to destiny like so many others as its a completely different game, I will say that its a great game especially if you have some friends to enjoy the ride with. Only a few minor problems like not being able to crouch and the the enemies are bullet sponges especially on hard, The shootings is decent, not the best but certainly not the worst.     The best combination of single-Player, coop and PvP ever! Ubisoft creates an nice atmosphere and the Environment is very detailed. The map is very awesome and you can "feel" the City.
    I couldn't find any bugs and there are no Connections issues.

    Ubisoft...Great work!!!!

    As with every game, it's a genre thing. This is a top quality RPG Looter Shooter. If that's not your cup of tea then don't buy if you enjoy that type of game then you will be spending many, many happy hours playing it. I am and that's why I give it a 10. It's quite simply the best game I have ever played. Sorry TLoU but you're 2nd now. U4 has got some work to do to beat this.

    Would rate it 9..2. Absolute joy to play been going 30 hours now reaching level 20. Great gameplay,graphics and levelling up system along with rpg elements. Cant stop playing it and that is something as i play nearly every playstation and xbox game.

    Ubisoft often exploits the players with the Marketing but this time, they worked well. New York modeling is impressive and the atmosphere is there.

    I play for opening servers and I love it (lvl 25). The game is quite addictive, missions are different and the cooperative is fun. I confess that I cannot understand some negative reviews too fast ... just play more.

    I usually do not write a review and HATE ubisoft so much....but after playing the BETA and putting 35hours into the beta, I decided to buy this.
    So far I love the game, i stopped leveling my PVE and focus only on PVP and Dark Zone, i feel like that is the main focus of the game, so I am stuck at PVE lvl19 my rank is 32 I am currently loving the Dark Zone.
    I was going to give this a 8/10    I usually do not write a review and HATE ubisoft so much....but after playing the BETA and putting 35hours into the beta, I decided to buy this.

    The game was enjoyable during beta, but I wasn't ready for full release. The game is engaging and fun and I haven't even thought about heading into the darkzone yet! Awesome game.

    Any rating below 8 is ridiculous. The Division is an amazing RPG with tactical elements. The story line is decent - you're not going to get an Oscar worthy screenplay from an online mp rpg, so stop with that whack line of criticism. There's co-op online in story mode and in death match style with the Dark Zone. People always complain about games not having that feature and The DivisionAny rating below 8 is ridiculous. The Division is an amazing RPG with tactical elements. The story line is decent - you're not going to get an Oscar worthy screenplay from an online mp rpg, so stop with that whack line of criticism. There's co-op online in story mode and in death match style with the Dark Zone. People always complain about games not having that feature and The Division delivers. Just the sheer size of the map is incredible and even though the action is pretty straight forward, exploration is encouraged and rewarded. graphics are good to excellent and the voice acting is good, even makes you laugh every now and then. stop with the dumb comments about bullet sponges too - of course, the developers did that intentionally to make the class have some actual relevance... the different roles (tech,med,security) all come in to play during big battles. How can gamers can possibly give this game a low ratings when it has all the elements we've been asking for? Is there room for improvement, of course. The missions can get redundant and there is definitely a "grinding" feel to it after awhile (I'm only a 22 so I haven't seen the end game but I get it when people use that criticism). To be fair the game is probably a solid 8.5 or 9 but these low reviews are just dumb and so I'm going 10 here.… Expand

    I've had great single player fun with this game 10 hours in. The missions are fun and New York feels alive as I move around. There is some repetition with dialogue and the enemies seem to all be the same thugs and gangsters but you won't notice when in the middle of a firefight and there are many of those.     Initially I thought OMG what have I done purchasing another hyped up game, but then it kicked in after several hours playing.... BoOm! Open world, player v Player, dark zone, Co-op just a master class. Great game and what for the expansion packs....Love it.

    From the Beta to the full game, you will notice some few things they added to make it better. For one thing you have an overhead marker to tell you where the hell to go this time. It's helpful because in the beta there was this one mission were the enemies were in between the buildings and I had no idea how to get in...     There is also crafting in this game! Learn new recipes and craft more powerful loot!
    Oh did I mention there is also ACTUAL trading in this game?
    And the matchmaking is perfect! there is even matchmaking for freaking free roam! perfect!

    Story isn't terribly interesting but isn't terribly boring either.

    Missions can be somewhat repetitive... and there always has to be like some final boss in the end of it. Side missions are all the same really, but at least they are quick to do.
    Upgrade system is great, not only do you have your abilities like in the beta, but now you have these other perks you can get to make your character even more useful.

    Oh and of course you can customize every weapon with scopes, magazines, skins, etc.

    And of course there is the dark zone... which I haven't really touched yet because I know there are going to be a lot of high level players there.

    It may not be a 10 out of 10, but more like an 8.5 out of 10.... I only gave it an 10/10 to counter those 124 negative scores. The 7.0 is making the game more average than it should...
    Like really most of them are just from people who were pissed of at the downgrade or just at ubisoft for what they did in the past.... not necessarily about the game itself.    … Expand

    Three years waiting and The Division finally comes. And I have to say that this game is a masterpiece. Beautiful graphics, environment full of things, objects, crashed cars, realistic weapons, complete gear customization, very nice narrative. So let the apocalypse begin and just enjoy it!

    There arent many games that keep my interest long term but i know this will be one of them.

    The Division is dense. Leveling up to 30 was an absolute treat with great gameplay and an amazing environment. Everything is mechanically sound, there is extensive crafting, serious equipment customization, and proper rpg mechanics rather than the shallow excuse Destiny had.

    The only negative comment I have about this game that the story lacks and takes a back seat to everything else. It doesn’t really become interesting until end game and once you’re there it seems like it’s going on in the peripheral and you’re not really a part of it.

    The environment is gorgeous and immersive. I have no idea how they managed to make a small part of New York into such a varied and interesting place, but Ubisoft did it. Each faction leaves its imprint on the areas they inhabit. The streets are alive despite being abandoned as crippled citizen’s hobble to you asking for aid.

    I’m level 30 and thoroughly invested in the End Game which is where these games really need to shine. Matchmaking is solid (if not perfect) and once you’re in with a good group the opportunities for PVE and PVP are endless. The open world integrates perfectly through the use of the darkzone making the endgame content seem like a real part of the world rather than a hallway tacked onto the game.

    As usual not everyone will love this game. You can’t please everyone, but if you take the time to sit down and invest in The Division you will find yourself sucked in and loving every moment of it.    … Expand

    Ok, first of all... Yes, the graphics have been downgraded but to give this game a 0 just because of this makes you a complete ***. I love this game. Started playing is as soon as it arrived and before I knew it, 3 hours were already past. I would gave it an 8 but I will give it a 10 to compensate for all the *** who gave it a 0.

    Loving it ! Such an amazing game. I played hours, with friends, and it's a blast every time.
    I played Destiny for a while, but got bored really fast, The Division is so much better on so many points.

    Just get it.

    This game is an addictive drug. Be aware before buying it! The gameplay is classic but effective: it works. The loot system is so addictive that you won't be able to stop playing it. The missions are interesting, different, and the best part is playing them in hard mode, in COOP. Playing with friends is an awesome experience, funny and interesting. A must have an a great game for 60$

    2 - Muita coisa pra fazer e explorar, tanto sozinho ( ai o desafio é maior ) quanto com um ou 4 amigos. Eu estou jogando sozinho mesmo e bora lá. Não precisa de alguém para fazer as missões, mas será mais difícil. Você pode mudar nas fases principais a dificuldade, achei legal esta parte.

    3 - Dark Zone ( zona cega ). Dá pra entrar sozinho sim, mais é aquilo, olhando para os lados o tempo todo. O ideal é entrar com outros agentes ( não necessariamente seus amigos ) pode pedir pra agrupar a outros. Simples.

People are sleeping on this game, ill tell you that. makes fallout look like a two year old made it (in every sense of the assertion) and blows most games out of the water in terms of graphics, connectivity, and smoothness and rpg characteristics.

But, like my other 10 ratings, this game caused me to literally play through entire nights, shrugging off the urge to sleep for the reward of becoming slightly stronger and defeating just a few more enemies.     I am at least a solid 100 hours into the game and see no reason why I will be stopping any time soon. At its core, the actual gameplay is fun, and the heaviness/feel of the character is good. Both the PVE and PVP systems are engaging. I've even hit a point where a little material grinding is necessary to continue my progression but I don't mind it because it is in an ever-changing dark zone where I have to continually be alert. The developers seem to be very tuned in to the community and the first major patch about two weeks after release fixed some serious issues with the dark zone which was a godsend and the right thing to do -- which also gives me hope that these devs are willing to admit where they made mistakes and continue molding the game to be the most fun experience. You can't upgrade your character -too- quickly, and stat min/max'ing will keep the hardcore players busy for hundreds of hours.

    It's like Ubisoft had a meeting and said, "We're going to show everyone how to make a video game!", because when you see the amount of money, creativity, detail, next gen graphics and vision that went into this game... there's really nothing else to compare it to. The Division is in a league of it's own. Gamers, this is the game we've been waiting for!

    Great game, and you will find that the later reviews are more positive as well. I was skeptical but I definitely do not regret getting it. Graphics are great, and while there is a variety problem in terms of life missions, this will most likely be fixed with the free content update. As it is now though, this game has a TON of content and things to do, unlike most games these days.

As I was going through the reviews, I saw someone saying that the game is shallow. This game is FAR from shallow. The environments and the gameplay is top of the line. No longer is it possible to be massively overpowered where I could pummel all my enemies because of brute strength and dumb A.I. Hard mode missions in this game is actually VERY HARD. It plays so beautifully that I don't mind retrying to kill a boss for hours on end as long as it goes down! As bosses gets harder, I get better strategically and actually feel accomplished after a mission. I love the skirmishes where two npc's from two different factions attack each other. I can literally go for cover and watch the whole fight play out and grab me some popcorn. I can snipe both factions slowly as they fight each other. I could even just walk away and let them handle their own business. This is an amazing game. Get it and I promise you wont regret it.… Expand

    Super immersive game, the co-op is smooth as hell ! Played the closed and open beta and I really appreciated my experience. I played roughly 10 hours and it don't get borring when you're in co-op mode. At last a game challenging Destiny but in our time. Go buy it !

    Great cover based shooter in a post apocalyptic Manhattan with co-op to boot. So far this game is great, looks great, the atmosphere is second to none. I'm not going to compare it to destiny like so many others as its a completely different game, I will say that its a great game especially if you have some friends to enjoy the ride with.

    Anyone complaining about the gameplay has no excuse for even playing the game. There were a number of betas released for everyone to get involved in. There is no reason you couldn't have played it before and judged the game before you bought it. If you didn't like the gameplay in the beta and then purchased the game anyways, well I guess you are an idiot.

    My opinion is that the game is 8.5+/10 right now I'm really enjoying it and that's pretty surprising as I normally shun shooters, I loathe games like CoD/Battlefield/Halo/Killzone/Arma/CSgo etc etc and I normally play rpg games but this is really fun. its sort of Diablo with guns. so    I'm putting 10/10 just to attempt to balance some of those lame 0/10 scores that the trolls add.

    its sort of Diablo with guns. so if you enjoy the rpg aspect of hunting for new "loot" then you'd probably enjoy this. I also enjoy breaking down the junk weapons and armour I find and using the component pieces to craft new items. its fun and modding weapons is fun too!    … Expand

Most of you start off by saying the game has some fundamental issues but also some great aspects as well.     Game of the year? It is the best game of MMORPG Shooter . I played beta and i thought this game is awesome. I have not bought The Division yet, but i will do that. I have been watch streams for 2 days and Iactually can say The Dvision the best MMORPG shooter. Ubisoft made a successfuly greate game as Rainbow Six Siege or Far Cry Primal. 10/10

    this is my top 10 games i have ever played before. this game is very fun and enjoyable. especially with friends. alot of people think the games bad due to its connection with the servers. but hold up its just day 1. i like the customization alot in this game. but i havent yet had any connection difficulties yet.

    Really awesome game ! Great story ! its like the TPS mmo i dream for . How its not perfect . My real Notation is a 8 or max a 9 but for all the haters it will be a 10

    Simply Epic.

    15 hours or so into it now. The story and side missions are great. Dark zone is epic. Can see this being goty.

    e3 graphics would have been nice tho.

    It is clear and apparent that a lot of time was put into the development. In many ways it does so many things right and in few areas does it sell short.

    GAMEPLAY - The best aspect of this game so far is the core gameplay. Forget about the RPG elements for now. This is a cooperative tactical shooter at heart. Is it the most realistic? No, but that is to be expected. Its a video game after all. If you want simulation play ARMA. The ability to fire and maneuver and play tactically with a team of 4 is exactly what you'll get with The Division. It is a fun cooperative shooter. Now the enemies are a little "spongy". Some are complaining about this saying " its unrealistic humans would die faster in real life". Yeah that is correct... Good observation, but, nobody complains when their fighting a dragon with a sword that's flying around spitting fire and talking at the same time. Nobody is sitting around saying "this doesn't happen in real life...."
    Now when we start talking about the RPG aspect it is a little different than most and it doesn't have the depth that some RPG's on the market offer such as The Witcher. However it still satisfies. This is a numbers game and is a little complicated to soak in at first but any fan of the RPG genre wouldn't complain. After all that's what an RPG is all about. You can explore, buy, sell, craft, upgrade, and loot just like any other RPG out there. The Loot system so far for my play through has been a little unsatisfying but at this point I have not completed the game and cannot fully comment. I spent a few hours in the Dark Zone as well and seemed to have trouble finding something I wanted. Maybe I'm just picky.
    Next I want to comment on the controls. I have only one small complaint here. I would pop out of cover all the time when I didn't want to and move around corners when I didn't want to. Well, apparently someone in the dev. team felt the same and put it in the control options to fix both of these issues. Now of course this was purely personal preference and not a legitimate complaint.    … Expand

    One of the top 10 game i have ever played in my 20 years of gamer life. It gave me totally new experience of what MMO, Shooter, and RPG can evolve into one.

    It builds a strong foundation on the gameplay front, offering up rewarding combat and simple skills, but doesn’t follow that with anything substantial, being content to let the standard end game grind and excellent-yet-stressful PVP try to cover all the questions its writing leaves you with.
