    Giving this game a 9 for Ubisoft nailing it on their launch after so many other companies have failed recently. The game play is more or less what we got in the betas. The enemies are less spongy, the loot is great, haven't reached 30 yet but so far I can't put the game down and I need to get to bed soon. If you enjoyed the original Division you'll love this one

    The first thing you'll notice is how different but gorgeous the environment is. I do miss the winter feel of the original game, but I think Ubisoft did right by moving on from it. The gunplay feels totally different from the first one, the enemies get tougher as you progress, they also get smarter too. I ran into maybe one of two bugs so far but nothing game breaking.     Having a blast so far. Everything the Division 1 should have been. Gun play feels great, enemies less bullet spongy

    Let me be the first to say, that after Anthem's HORRIBLE crash-and burn I Was super skeptical about DIV2. Afraid it would follow the same patterns of repetition and micro transacts.
    But, fortunetaly, i was very wrong :-)
    There is a sh*t load of content here for you to keeo yourself busy.     All in all I was pleasantly surprised by the hours i've put into it so far. SUre, no game is ever perfect...and even this one has it's issues. But, really....they are minimal compared to the overal experience.

    Repetitive boring game. instead of correcting previous Division 1, they release division 1,5. And what is season pass - year one? seven day early access to free content. what? not worth pay full price for this game.

    same game, different place.... very repetitive nothing new. Adding a few robots "wall-E" looking like. They should have made the game free coscidering the first one was a total disaster.

    This game is an absolute embarrassment. It's literally a copy and paste of the first game. All they did was take the snow off and did a few tweaks here and there. The graphics are a joke. Despite bad graphics, the game manages to have horrible framerate. The developers were too lazy to polish this joke of a game. The physics are beyond horrible. The lighting has that same garbage look thatThis game is an absolute embarrassment. It's literally a copy and paste of the first game. The developers were too lazy to polish this joke of a game. The physics are beyond horrible. The lighting has that same garbage look that most Ubisoft games have. It lacks so much detail. The missions are boring and repetitive wih bullet sponge enemies. Story is bland.

    Apparently, there will be a 90 GB day 1 patch. That makes the physical copy pointless. You expect to believe that this game takes up more space than GTA V and Uncharted 4 combined? It's obvious that they were too lazy to compress their game. It's pathetic that developers are starting to use this tatic to be lazy and greedy. They are too lazy to make the game fit in 1 disc, and too greedy to provide us with 2 discs. The only good thing in this game over the first, is that there is finally female hairstyle options for female characters.

    There no offline gameplay. So once the developers decide to switch off the servers, this game will end up in the trash can. Charging $60 for a game with no offline campaign is a cashgrab. And they have the audacity to charge $110 for the Gold edition without an offline campaign. It's getting ridiculous that developers have gotten so lazy and greedy, they are only giving us half of the game at full price. When I buy a game that costs over $60, I want both the singleplayer and the multiplayer. Is that too much to ask for? I don't recommend this cancerous game at all.    … Expand

    The ugly characters bring down the entire experience. It feels like i'm playing with a open world npc character from a PS3 game. It looks even worse than the original division , which is a shame because the gameplay can be really good.     The graphics are superb. However the controls are reacting badly. The game play is boring. It is almost the same fight over and over again. The menu's are way to complicated. There are literally tens of options and it is not clear what they mean.

Riddled with bugs and features that don’t work as intended, the campaign will be mildly entertaining for a day but after that the endgame is just horrible, this includes the original game and the warlords of New York expansion. The PVP is a major step backwards from division 1 and caters to crybabies who cannot compete. The loot drops are awful and make it impossible for most people to farm them in a reasonable amount of time.     Loved everything about Division 1 and tried the beta for 2. Wasn't fully impressed by it but still gave it a shot from playing 1. Mistake on my side. Found myself stuck in the loading screen constantly getting kicked out and during combat I would lag out. Game had great graphics but it just lacked in content and keeping a stable connection for me.     The whole territory blockade 2 this game is full of bugs, and the plug-in is rampant, and the player unconsciously triggers the bug, resulting in being banned!!! And also reset player progress, this behavior is disgusting, this behavior should stop immediately!!

    Another open world Ubisoft game with the same rush to launch problems. I played the first Division game and the second has same problem lack of content and bugs.     An awsome game, destroyed by the dlc Warlords of New York. Ubisoft just nerferd the entire game, to make impossible to play without the DLC. Things we worked hard to complete, now just cant be completed anymore, we cant reach 50% of what we could before. The dlc should be progressive, not regressive.

    I really wanted to like this game as I was a fan of the first one, but I cannot tell a lie. The gear and talents do not work for most of the gear items. When something does work, the developers fell that it’s overturned and will nerf it immediately. All of the survivability options have been removed from gear, mods and talents. There used to be armor regeneration talent-gone, health regeneration talent-gone, hazard protection-gone, balanced builds-gone, armor mods-gone, mod slots-80% gone. I mean,it’s just a new game after each update, it’s a circus. Feels like an episode of Jerry Springer, too much going on and all negative! Save your money and time.… Expand

    People tolerate over a year tons of bugs made by incompetent programmers.
    People get banned and two weeks progress-reset for using one of those bugs for their advantage.
    Its just a game, stop treating people like criminals because they managed (for just couple of hours) to use your incompetence for their advantage!

    This game is an absolute embarrassment. It's literally a copy and paste of the first game. All they did was take the snow off and did a few tweaks here and there. The graphics are a joke. Despite bad graphics, the game manages to have horrible framerate. The developers were too lazy to polish this joke of a game. The physics are beyond horrible. The lighting has that same garbage look that most Ubisoft games have. It lacks so much detail. The missions are boring and repetitive wih bullet sponge enemies. Story is bland.

    Apparently, there will be a 90 GB day 1 patch. That makes the physical copy pointless. You expect to believe that this game takes up more space than GTA V and Uncharted 4 combined? It's obvious that they were too lazy to compress their game. It's pathetic that developers are starting to use this tatic to be lazy and greedy. They are too lazy to make the game fit in 1 disc, and too greedy to provide us with 2 discs. The only good thing in this game over the first, is that there is finally female hairstyle options for female characters.

    There no offline gameplay. So once the developers decide to switch off the servers, this game will end up in the trash can. Charging $60 for a game with no offline campaign is a cashgrab. And they have the audacity to charge $110 for the Gold edition without an offline campaign. It's getting ridiculous that developers have gotten so lazy and greedy, they are only giving us half of the game at full price. When I buy a game that costs over $60, I want both the singleplayer and the multiplayer. Is that too much to ask for? I don't recommend this cancerous game at all.    … Expand

    First I would like to say this game has a lot of potential. I played the game a lot because it was fun and the core aspect of the gameplay is nice. But there is many bugs and glitches in the game. This includes invisible walls, broken talents, revive bugs, and the list goes on. Due to a damage glitch where players could interact with a turret and pull out a shield for unlimited damage. TheFirst I would like to say this game has a lot of potential. The game developers decided to temporarily ban and rollback players account. I was one of the players who used this damage glitch as it was a fun experience due to the bullet sponge NPCs and the fact of the matter that the game is extremely difficult when playing on legendary. So far every weapon Players use that do a lot of damage apparently upsets the devs because they don’t want us killing their NPCs to fast. So they keep nerfing every weapon that does a lot of damage ( the Negev and M1A for example). This is terrible balancing because the moment we find another weapon that shreds, it’s just gonna get nerfed instead of balancing the other weapons too where the players can do decent damage. Now the ways the devs handled the bans and rollbacks to players who did the damage glitch, was handled very poorly. I did the damage glitch with 3 of my clan members yet only 2 of us were banned. Then the devs go on livestream and said they banned players with a tool that was very accurate? And said that they have millions of players on their game? So they lied to us on stream because they didn’t ban everyone who did the damage glitch, they banned random players who didn’t even use the damage glitch and are not fixing bugs within their game. I’m not saying players shouldn’t have been punished for using the damage glitch but if your going to ban players for using a damage glitch because you couldn’t fix whatever was wrong within the game itself then actually ban everyone who uses it not just half the people who used it so you can maintain your player base. The game developers are very incompetent and don’t care about their players and the worse part is they lied straight to their player base faces on stream when they said they still have so many players( hence because they chose not to ban everyone who did the damage glitch) and they lied about using a tool that was very accurate. So I would recommend not buying any game that was created by massive and Ubisoft due to the way they treat their players.… Expand

    They would rather punish players for bugs they failed to fix. Took over a year to fix a revive hive bug that ruined soooooo many runs.
    Don't buy, and boycott Ubisoft.

    There are way too many bugs! I love the division loved the PVE content. Warlords was awesome great to go back to New York.. my issues lie within the lack of caring of the development team. Every time something is fixed something else breaks. Instead of pleasing the die hard fans.. a ban hammer that banned many players who did not use glitches, I shouldn’t be getting an exotic everyday IThere are way too many bugs!     It works better than anthem. But the gameplay is incredibly boring. I won’t give it a horrible score though. It’s a loot shooter and for what it is I guess this is my ceiling for games like this. The loot drops pretty consistently so that’s a plus. No cohesive story to speak of, literally the same thing over and over. Shoot stuff , loot stuff.     Even fallout 76 for all the flak its coping (and rightfully so I’ll add) is still a 3 or 4. Maybe even a 2 if Bethesda really F****d you over.

    Personally I don’t see myself sticking around for the endgame but it was perfectly adequate time waster. If you’ve got a group of friends that are looking blow some sh*t up together then I’d recommend this game to you. It doesn't seem to have had as much love and time put into it as the first one. It just isn't fun to explore. Texture pop in is horrendously bad. The first game suffered this a little bit but the Division 2 suffers it A LOT! It really does take away from immersion. It suffers from a lot of immersion breaking things, be it from bugs, or poor game design. For example. I found tons of objects floating around in mid air. Normally you find the odd 1 or 2 floating objects in a Ubisoft game, but the Division 2 has hundreds. You can loot items from black chests, rucksacks, suitcases, toolboxes and such. However, these items are placed all over the world, and i mean all over, and it very silly places where they simply shouldn't be. For example, you will see yellow tool boxes literally everywhere! In a children's playground, 1 second later another at the side of the road, turn around and find another in alleyway. Why on earth would all these toolboxes be laying around like this? It's as if one of the developers went a bit trigger happy copy and pasting the lootables all over the map and just placed them in at total random all over the map. It's part of what makes the map seem so poor and not as impressive or as believable or as atmospheric as the first game. It's like the map was made and then half of the other stuff was just dumped in and checked off the list. Toolboxes? Yup got them in. Rucksacks? Yeah got them, whack all that stuff in. Same thing with gas tanks and exploding barrels. It makes no sense to have them littering the entire map everywhere you look. The game takes place 6 months or so after the first game. The first game was set at Black Friday and was very Christmas themed. The Division 2 has a very small Christmas theme. There is a small Christmas market, and you will find the odd dead Christmas tree, wreath and Christmas present laying on the ground, and it's always the same green Christmas present copied and pasted in, but that's it! In an outbreak like this nobody would go and take all the decorations down. There would still be Christmas everywhere, even Christmas lights would still be working. But there simply isn't much of a sign it was Christmas time when the outbreak happened. The game world isn't consistent or believable. The developers said it would be more single player friendly. But that's not strictly true. Even though some enemies have been made less bullet spongey, there are still a lot of big bullet sponge enemies here. Ridiculously so. You can unload all your ammo, explosives and special weapons and not put a dent in some of them. And you always come up against 3 to 6 or more enemies at a time. They will try and flank you and get you out over cover by throwing molotovs and explosives at you, and then you either get blasted out of cover or set on fire and have to run around to put the fire out. But as soon as you break from cover they fill you full of bullets from all angles so you don't stand much of a chance. And the enemies with the most armour know they can afford to charge right at you because they have 50x the health and armour that you have. They also walk straight through your special weapons like mines, turrets etc and simply smash them like they are nothing. And because the controls are super clunky it makes the whole thing frustrating. The clunky cover will often get you killed. Go to hide in cover and you will vault the cover into a hail of enemy bullets and explosions. Then go to run from one cover to another to avoid a molotov and get stuck on the cover and burn to death. Or flanked, or both. Save points don't help as they sometimes take you too far back. You can spend 1 to 2 hours making your way through a level only for the cover to get you killed then have to go wayyyy back and do it all again. So even though this can be played single player, it's more so tailored towards group play. I also customize my character, a white man, only for my character to pull a reverse Michael Jackson and turn into a black man that looked totally different and stayed that way. There was nothing i could do to change it back to look more like myself. Virtually no clothes to collect in this one at all as they are mostly locked behind microtransactions this time. There is added blood in this one though. And the enemies look cool when taking bullets. It has more cool gadgets this time, even though half of them are pretty pointless. But yeah, some fun to be had but feels unfinished and not as good as the first one.… Expand

Id say Anthems engine runs much better regarding connection while playing.

    The other fundamental problem is that the loot you pick up means basically nothing going through the tiers until you reach max tier. There is no reason to invest in something you like because you will pick up something pretty soon which is better.

    This whole endgame thing is actauly fake. It just stretches out the time for you to get to actaully start working on your build when you reach 500+ score gear and guns. Then the real endgame begins. Its all actually just a waste of time getting there.

    I do enjoy playing the game though. The gunplay is great. Skills are much more effective than D1 was. The missions are fun and doesnt feel repetitive. Enemy AI is great. But all this does not make it better than Anthem... Anthem is something new and more exciting.

    I compared it to Anthem because reviewers used D2 to piss on Anthem and I think that is biased and unrealistic with all the points I made here.

    A 'Massive' step up form the Division 1. All system, graphics and game play have had small but very meaningful upgrades/ With a decent story, and a very fleshed out endgame (for a new release). An example of how to release a 'AAA' live service game. Fingers are crossed for the future. Looking bright so far!

    This is everything that I wish Anthem would have been. This is basically the exact same engine as Division 1 so the Devs had time to spend the entire Dev cycle on content. I will say that I have run into a couple of bugs, but nothing entirely game-breaking.

    As an avid Division 1 player since the closed beta with about 1200 hours played, whose also experienced Destiny 2's pale launch, I was somewhat worried by the announcement about The Division 2 last year. Having played for 2 days now, I can say that I'm in love. Never in this type of game, have i actually enjoyed taking my time through the campaign, as i usually like pushing towards endgame ASAP. All in all it is an incredible experience. It's such a great and immersive experience the explore DC. And i can't count the number of times I have stopped on my way to a main mission just to help capture a point, save a hostage or stop a propaganda broadcast. Well done Massive and Ubisoft!… Expand

The game brings improvements provided to Division 1 from the start which is a most welcome addition to the looter shooter genre as we often see (i.e. Destiny 2) the sequels being worse at launch than the original game.     While I will have more impressions about the game as I continue to explore its world I feel like 8 is going to be my final score. If this was Division 1 at launch, I would have given it a 6.    … Expand

    Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has thrown its hat into the ring for being a possible 'Game of the Year' contender for 2019. The post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. is such an eerie site to see, and Agents can roam around solo or in groups to complete missions and earn better loot to upgrade their characters. With more content well on the way, the base game is still packed with heaps of stuff to do - and the huge variety in gear types and stat boosts, modifications, and skills means that 1000+ hours can easily be put into this title over the course of the year. The only bane to these sorts of titles is the 'always-online' internet connection that is required, which does remove some parts of the gaming population from being able to play it, unfortunately.

    The Division 2 is easily the best of its type; it has the right balance of fun, challenge, dopamine loot drops, and sweet graphics that all but guarantee I’ll be playing this one for a long, long time to come. If you haven’t jumped in yet and think this might be for you, hesitate no longer - Ubisoft has absolutely nailed it the second time around.
