It looks good, controls are good.
Inventory and crafting is messy. And then the game is very repetitive unfortunately. One trick pony that looks nice.

The Division 2 suprised me totally, after a bit disappointing from the first game. What makes The Division 2 so much better is the fact that Massive Enterainment have listened from the players. I had a lot of fun, but maybe even more if you have friends to play with. This is among the best online games in many years.

This is what the first Division should've been! A much bigger improvement from the first game in every way possible and it will only get better from here. I can see this game becoming even better down the line. There are some small annoying bugs such as the sound, and the fact that armor in this game doesn't mean anything from level 1 - 30.

More of the same, but this time there's even more, more of the same - with a meaty end-game that has you shooting and looting until you eventually ask yourself... what am I doing with my freakin' life?

Graphics are stunning, rivaling Red Dead 2 and perhaps surpassing it in terms of realism, and the best I've ever seen on PS4. Notice that anyone criticizing visuals has yet to offer a better example? I'm a lifelong DC resident of 35 years, and this has been such a joy around every corner - I've taken down bad guys at literally four places of work, which is surreal and amazing at the same time. Yeah, it gets a little repetitive here and there, but not nearly as grindy feeling as the first game, which I never finished. There was clearly so much effort put into this game and it's been just awesome, rivaling Spiderman, Horizon, RDR2, etc. as one of my favorite PS4 games in the last 5 years. I played the whole thing solo and am fired up for the new DLC episodes! It's not perfect, but it is a solid 9 for me. Get some.

    Pros:
    + Amazing graphics
+ DC is brimming with realistic detail and a joy to explore
+ Shooting is fun, fast, and challenging
+ Music kicks in to add that badass feel you want during fights
+ Has that addictive quality so many games lack these days
    + High replay value

    Cons:
    - No stealth
    - Annoying voice acting
    - Forgettable story, characters not fleshed out
    - Always online, no pause button (shouldn't need online if I'm playing solo)
    - Somewhat repetitive. You'll fight bad guys and that's mostly it. But it's always so fun, I don't mind.

Plenty to do on the map, bounties, missions, projects, etc. even if they are starting to get repetitive.

    Middle
Story. Sort of hard to believe that the game has advanced 7 months and your character showing up finally makes a difference where everyone else muddled around doing not much of anything till you showed up.
Weapon Talents are uninspirational and boring and there isn't a large number of talents to choose from.

NPCs and their histories. Seems to me that a missed opportunity with this one. In Division 1 we learned through cut scenes and mini-missions things that motivated the important NPC's in the game. Division 2 makes at best a half-hearted effort with most of the info coming in the form of recordings and echos.

    The Bad.
Dark Zones are havens for trolls who somehow seem to be able to drop you in seconds regardless of your 500+ build. Enjoyment is low, player participation in them sounds low as well based on the upcoming patch and fixes they are going to implement to force players into those areas. Factor into it that the best gear can be found only there forces you to have to tolerate its existence.

Cover issues still persist and can get you killed if not careful.

Workbenches no longer let you put talents you want on to weapons and you have to have a suitable version to smash into the one you want to keep. The old system was way better and more flexible.

Projects can be held up by super rare loot drops of hex wrenches and toy cars. Some say its glitched and honestly wouldn't surprise me.

NPC faces. Did the people who worked on Mass Effect Andromeda get jobs with Ubisoft. The hair and faces render horribly in the game and are laughably bad.

Overall. I am gaming with my buddies and this will likely be our hang out game for the foreseeable year. As launches go this one had the best hands down over (BF5, BO4, Fallout 76, Anthem). Many have said this is what a looter shooter should look like and I tend to agree. Even though there are still issues and preference choices I am not fond of the great thing is they have a years worth of content ahead to make improvements and they have given us a solid enough platform to deserve to show us what more they can do with the game in my book.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Review

In my time playing the Division 2 the vast open world has seamlessly drawn me in to experience Washington DC after the catastrophic events of the green poison outbreak, that brought America to its knees. In my time with the game I feel more like a tourist than a highly skilled agent, as exploring the world revealed stories of survival and sacrifice.

From the start the Division 2 offers a fairly in depth character customization as compared to the previous title. Though the intro is pretty bland it does do a good job of providing a basic tutorial for the combat system, and it justifies why your agent is leaving to go to DC.
When it comes down to it the Division 2 is a looter shooter and with every looter shooter it requires two things, good combat and spectacular loot and this game provides it. The moment to moment action is so alive and unique almost every encounter is never the same. Each faction is so unique in how they fight how they look and how they react to the open world and the players decisions in combat. There are four factions in the game, the Hyenas which are your run of the mill gang bangers that steal from anyone they can kill, the True Sons which are a militarized capitalist faction that are taking Washington by force, than there are the Outcast a a group of people that were left for dead on Roosevelt island and are out for blood against anyone who put them there, but once you have taken back Washington and reached level 30 a new faction arises in the form of the Black Tusk a completely private military with the most advanced tech on the battlefield. With all these different factions they are wonderful at making the player feel vulnerable by restricting movement with foam and fire while constantly rushing the player with shotguns or suicide bombers. Now when the shooting stops it's time to loot, and this is where the drive of players will determine their experience as everyone has access to the content available in the game, but the loot that drops is individual to each player. With the looting system really defining how your character progresses, the Division 2’s pacing is one of the best in recent years for the genre as I never once felt under leveled or even overpowered during my time with the game. I was constantly forced into making more tactical decisions about who to shoot first and where I should be. The loot you receive isn't how it was in the first division as you can recieve “Superior” or “High-end” items before level 30, and I can honestly say it makes the first 30 levels way more enjoyable.
So once you pass level 30 you make your way into endgame and this is where the fun begins because you gain access to the games three specializations. The three specializations are the Demolitionist which has a M32A1 Multi-shot Grenade Launcher; Survivalist which has access to an Explosive tipped Crossbow; and the Sharpshooter which has access to a TAC-50 C Rifle. Now with these specializations they aren't meant to change how you play but compliment how you play by giving you access to perks that affect how you perform in combat.
In conclusion I have played for roughly 40 hours and I firmly believe that Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is one to pick up as it comes with enough content to last until the release of Tidal Basin and I can honestly say I can't wait. The Division 2 has all the answers to how looter shooters should be and not the poor excuse that Anthem was, and as a player of Anthem, Destiny, and the first Division I could not recommend this game enough as it comes with enough content to put all those game to rest on day one, so I wouldn't mind spending my money and time to further this experience.

Wow, what a game! I have been playing games for over 35 years amd this has to be one of the best game experiences I have ever encountered. Some of the battles as a team with my friends have been fantastic, reminding a lot of the famous firefight scene in the film 'Heat'.
So much content at launch, it's a good game solo but a lot better in teams, even some of the matchmaking missions have been great. What has surprised me is how good the AI is, charging and flanking, the different factions do vary it up a bit. I thought I would miss out on the variety of enemy types compared to other fantasy looter shooters but this hasn't been the case.
It is just fun wandering around the map, I am hardly using fast travel. I am really enjoying the game and have only just reached level 30, not yet finished the main missions to trigger the endgame (supposed to be the best part).

The detail in the world is amazing. the map is huge with lots going on and tons of loot to find.
I can't recommend this game enough, I just don't understand any negative comments, if you like the looter shooter genre this is the best game out there, period.
Can't wait to see what they do with Div 3 on a PS5!!

So if you don't want hideous grind walls to unlock a specific class (gunner) or wait for the content that is being delayed 'cause you didn't get the year pass, well... you are probably better of with the year pass. All things considered: The slow but steady decay and the monetization of this game just lowers the score significantly. Until you hit that wall there is a lot fun to be had here though and that experience alone is worth your money. Expand

RETURN OF THE SPONGES. Great game seriously plenty to do despite the missions being on repeat. However all the hype by Ubisoft about no more enemy's that absorb bullets like water. Well they didnt really make it that way, enemy's are still sponges however this time its their armour that absorbs bullets all be it not as much as the first one. Still a good game though.

In the other hand, the ambiance created is an excelent version of Washington, with amazing details and true versions of real buildings, the gun mechanics and variety are also a good point, and the rpg progression is also ok. It is so sad that all of these is in a game so terrible, and technically awful. The controls are also a weak point, they rarelly respond correctly and are everything but precise. In addition, as in EVERY Ubisoft game, it looks like you are playing always the same game, just with a different skin. It is so sad that a company so grat have ended up like this.

The Division 2 does nothing to separate itself from the pack, and the era of cool themed military style shooters with the same generic gameplay started on the Xbox 360 era and died on the Xbox One era. If this game came out 10 years ago, I wouldn’t think it’s that bad, but today, I find this game so uninteresting that I don’t have the words for it. The environment isn’t that exciting, the world itself feels super empty, the lore feels like they barely tried, and mix that with some really bland shooting gameplay where you dump all of your ammo into a bullet sponge enemy running around in a tank top, and there isn’t much there. It’s possible to have some fun for a couple hours due to the loot system, but it just boils down to slow marginal improvements. It’s a lot less bad when played with friends, but there are far better options out there. Expand

If you like that type of gameplay, exemplified by the first one, you'll /love/ this game. It's a refined version of that, with a huge world (with surprising variation of environments) that rewards exploration with hidden collectibles, hidden quest lines, and piles of loot drops. The game is designed around the end game, which provides you a bunch of different ways to get gear, and just enough tinkering available to make trying to farm god rolls a little less frustrating. Enemy AI is a little hit or miss, but the upshot is that if you lose situational awareness or get too greedy, you will go down...fast.

In the end it comes down to if the gameplay loop of 'advance up on enemies, fight in a cover shooter arena of varying sizes, collect gear, repeat' engages you. If it does, this game does it well enough and the extra stuff they put in the game really pushes it over the top. If it doesn't, this game would be a waste of money for you.

Also, games still a little buggy, but in the old school sense of full releases having some bugs, not the 'AAA Early Access Not Finished' buggy that's become the norm in recent years.

The environments are very detailed and help prevent the missions from feeling too repetitive. Of course, all these missions involve you going to a place and killing a ton of enemies while pressing square a few times throughout. But the guns felt great, and the skills were really fun, so I happily played through the main "story" up until the same exact locations were being recycled for new missions, only with "tougher" enemies. That's when you really have to play co-op unless you want a tedious challenge.

Not a bad experience for $2.99.

I still love the vast and well-designed inventory, the large array of weapons and their personalization, the beauty of the open world (Washington DC is well represented), and of course the fact it is made to be played with 3 friends. It's a must have for coop lovers, just like the first iteration. It's extremely addictive and despite its defaults, it for sure made me want to get that best exotic weapon and to complete everything that is completable. On the things I also liked, I noted a pretty large endgame and the servers that have never shown any problem. The fact that the updates of year 1 were free is also a good point.

Gameplaywise, the game benefits from a few improvements and new features here and there, but basically, it remains the same thing as the first game. A thing I don't really like in this game is that more emphasis was put on the different factions of the game than on the actual sickness itself. I think that using this virus thing to create a tense and interesting atmosphere could have been done way better. I found the same problem in the first game, but I feel it's more severe here. The story wasn't that interesting, I would have really liked it better if an emphasis had been put on the actual sickness more than on the "villains". Even the collectibles failed to convince on that regard. This can sound dumb, but take Control's collectibles for example, they are adding value to the story of the game and motivate you to read them, even though they are basically text with missing words!

Same goes for the Darkzone. In The Division 1, I really could feel the tension that goes with it, but in TD2, I kind of missed that feel. Is it because I am not new to the franchise or because they made it less good? A bit of both I guess. To add on the Darkzone, I regret the fact that looting there has almost no point since it doesn't bring any exclusive or highly interesting item in comparison with the regular story. The result is that when you go to the Darkzone, you don't really have any particular interest to grind for.

Another default of this game is the quality of the sound, the gunshots of the vast majority of the weapons feel stale, and there is a TON of sound bugs. Sometimes I wouldn't hear the sounds of the open-world anymore, sometimes only the voices or gunshots, sometimes nothing at all, and the worst is that sometimes I would hear that constant high-pitched noise.

Still on the negative side, I really hate the competitive PvP playlist. It is not balanced at all. I understand that players who grinded for a good loadout have to be advantaged somehow, but the way they did it for this basically results in competing in a deathmatch where the beginner can throw rocks while the extreme majority of opponents (since the game isn't new) destroy newbies with their insanely powerful guns.

Nevertheless and to conclude, I can confirm this game will keep coop shooter players happy for a good amount of time and that their money will be worthily invested considered how low its price currently is.

This is Division 1.5 AT BEST and same-old-crap at worst. The story is just as bad. The gameplay loop is just as repetitive & honestly off-putting for most people who have no idea how looter-shooters work. Trust me, a lot of people are new to this especially to console players. it is super difficult to learn and remember all the mechanics and every single feature this game offers when it is super un-intuitive. Tutorial is horrible, many missions wont even trigger when you want to play solo, and some on-map actives would just disappear while you are on the way to get there. GPS breaks every 10 min too. The whole "liberated zones" is pointless when enemy AI can capture zones back instantly after you die. So does that mean gamemap resets or somehow moves time ahead every time I die in free roam? The hold-button for this action things are also tiresome. It's just a shame that nothing really important was improved on Division 2 compared to 1. Yes you can get now 4th weapon and specialised classes, yes now gadgets are more interesting but is it really that hard to improve simple but super important mechanics like .... JUMPING? Or decent cover system? Just copy Uncharted! Or any other game that figured it out years ago. The number of clutter UI and HUD is also messy. I dont know what I was expecting from Ubisoft, but I guess they learn very slow.
There COULD be enjoyment here, I just could not find it, I did not manage even to do all main missions on the map because of how frustrated I am with it. Just utter disappointment. Don't waste your time and money.

The missions are split up into main, side and support, so there's plenty to choose from. The game comes alive when you play with others, although the solo runs are equally fun. Chasing new gear and loot is very satisfying. Every time I got stronger so did the mobs. As in more of and better equipped. The gunplay gadgets and combat is engaging. I am in it for the looter, shooter and exploration parts. It has settlement upgrade trees, unlockable player skills and gear crafting options. So it all adds up to a nice package. I finally got to a comfortable level of playing. Using a mostly the suppressing LMG and old style battle rifle combo. With using a turret and drone support while trying to keeping my distance from the enemy. The again up close and personal the shotgun can be a lot of fun.

I was soloing this until I get bored or it beat me. I am not really into the co-op or PvP side of live service games. Got it super cheap and the perfect type of long form game to kill the time in Lockdown Pandemic. Ironic that this game is about a virus gone amok hey?

Story, characters and dialogue I don't give a crap about. The NPCs' are not believable or realistic characters anyway. The spawns are kind of cheap in some places. Trash mobs suddenly burst out of doors that the player has no access to. These cheap spawns have put me in some really bad positioning, oh well.

Hitting level 30 I opted out after the fireworks display cut scene. I just couldn't go through another level of grind like that any time so. Maybe I will come back to it someday, but not anytime soon I thought. Then a couple of weeks later I was back in for the ride again ha ha. So after the fireworks everything amps up with lots more intense firefights and some new surprises. Now with all hell let loose on the streets the game ended up being way more fun. I am on the third leveling tier out five so far.

There is a lot more variety with the missions and side missions this time around and there is a lot more weapons to choose from. the dark zone are also back in the game but those are the multiplayer parts of the game.....which I got no interest in playing that part of.

The game has it's minor issues but there is enough to see and do on there to keep players busy. I enjoyed playing this game it improved on most of the stuff that made the first game fun for me to play and it's a game I would suggest people to play especially if your a fan of the Tom Clancy games.

It takes getting used to when this happens after playing before the update is launched. Once it has changed the change is permanent. This could be changes the creators are unhappy with from within the game. As a fan of the franchise being a veteran player from The Division, I pre-ordered The Division 2 knowing I would be expecting simular gameplay and control over the previous title. This came true as I haven't stopped playing. Vast improvements are noticeable from minor details in the world and mission level designs. The soundtrack for this sequel is far more recognisable and Division sounding and keeps the re-playability of certain missions in tact because you feel the need to go back to listen. It's taken to long to review because I can't get away from the game. Not until a new title in the franchise arrives. It's a 10/10 from me. Expand

The Division 2 is a game I simply cannot grasp. There is a decent amount of polish and sheen to this 3rd-person shooter with RPG elements, but from what I have experienced, it is all a veneer - beneath the surface, there is an offensively and egregiously bare-bones, milquetoast video game that feels mechanically similar to a free-to-play MMORPG than a compelling experience. And while there may be a phenomenal multiplayer experience here, I will admit that this is not the reason I picked up The Division 2. And without that reason, I feel no motivation to play this game at all.

Despite having stated that this game possesses RPG elements, that is likely a misnomer in hindsight. Little about the new guns or armour you acquire throughout the game feel impactful. While I certainly noticed when I had an underpowered weapon, I found it hard to feel like I had accomplished anything when I switched to a level-appropriate weapon. Perhaps this sounds overly subjective, but rather than feeling more powerful when I got better gear, I felt less powerful when I didn't. And that sucks.

Perhaps the most stunningly outrageous letdown about this game, beyond its lack of a feeling of achievement, was the unbelievably by-the-numbers story. It manages to find an astonishingly bland middle ground between vagueness and cliché that result in having zero narrative reason to persist throughout the game. I could not name a single character, let alone a single defining detail about this story, beyond this: "A virus has spread throughout America and caused anarchy, and now you are part of a paramilitary organization attempting to fight to protect people." While a narrative is not the only reason one picks up and plays a game, nor does a game need a compelling story to be excellent, this approach to the story felt stunningly barren.

The Division 2 represents what I see as a growing problem within the video games industry: An over-attentiveness to extremely incremental progression (in order to fuel microtransactions), and a pivoting away from uniqueness or artistry. While this game has undoubtedly satisfied some people, I am not one of those people. I picked this game up for a total of about 5 hours, then promptly ignored it until I realized the amount of hard drive space it was taking up on my PS4 - I then promptly deleted the game with almost zero regret. Whatever the angle is here, Ubisoft, I'm sorry - I don't get it.

The First one has more potential than this game and the fact that they abandoned an unfinished great game to just bring it back to NYC in this one is pointless.

I gave this game a 4/10 3 months ago because the developers have done much to address its problems.
The first Division is still better and there is still zero plot in this game, but its much better now. Thanks Ubisoft!

    - Bad graphics. - Bad and slow rendering area.
    - Too many loose sound.
    - Screen tearing.
    - Horrible performance when there is too many explosions.
This game is definitely not for solo players.

И вот вышла The Division 2.
Ghost Recon.
Может если бы не было оригинальной The Division этот сиквел бы и выстрелил. Но он был. И с этим ничего не поделать.
    Очень жаль серию.

One of the bests games I have played on muito life. The vast open world brings an immersion to the game that I rarely felt in a game. The random missions on the map diverted my attention so much that I ended up spending hours playing but it seemed like a few minutes. Extremely fun game, I recommend.

Bought it for $3 so that's the reason I have it the opportunity. People say it's very repetitive , it's true, but what makes you play it over again? It's mechanics. The game is absolutely fun and you will always want to repeat the experience. Battles are extremely cool, you can add drones, guns , bombs etc to accompany you during battles. It's really fun . I assure you . The only thing IBought it for $3 so that's the reason I have it the opportunity. People say it's very repetitive , it's true, but what makes you play it over again? It's mechanics. I just play it because I like battles but the story sucks . Could be the perfect game but it lacks of a interesting narrative and creative missions. Anyway. It is worth the $60 twhen the launched. Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has thrown its hat into the ring for being a possible 'Game of the Year' contender for 2019. The post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. is such an eerie site to see, and Agents can roam around solo or in groups to complete missions and earn better loot to upgrade their characters. With more content well on the way, the base game is still packed with heaps of stuff to do - and the huge variety in gear types and stat boosts, modifications, and skills means that 1000+ hours can easily be put into this title over the course of the year. The only bane to these sorts of titles is the 'always-online' internet connection that is required, which does remove some parts of the gaming population from being able to play it, unfortunately.

The Division 2 is easily the best of its type; it has the right balance of fun, challenge, dopamine loot drops, and sweet graphics that all but guarantee I’ll be playing this one for a long, long time to come. If you haven’t jumped in yet and think this might be for you, hesitate no longer - Ubisoft has absolutely nailed it the second time around.

It all adds up to one of the finest games multiplayer role-player shooters out there. This is how gaming with friends is meant to be.
