I was hoping for a better version of The Division, but this is worse.

First, your friendlies don't pay attention to where enemies are, they will take cover right next to an enemy because they can't get spotted, this not only breaks immersion, but is just sloppy design and makes no sense. Second, the enemy AI is horrendous. The best way for me to explain this to you is to bring up the moment when I was shot out of a moving helicopter by a regular enemy grunt that was using an automatic pistol from 300 meters. Yes, it's that terrible. I suppose one could say that I've been spoiled when it comes to tactical gameplay and realistic AI because I'm a huge fan of Arma. Why I even expected to get a game of that caliber from Ubisoft is beyond me. Also, my biggest pet-peeve comes with this mess of a game: bum-rushing enemies. If Ubi would take five minutes and do some research into real life firefights, they would realize that people usually stay put during firefights, you know, lest they move out into the open and get shot. The enemies in this game don't care if they die, so they will sprint out into the open, straight at you, and lay fire into you from a position that you can't aim at. Believe me, if you are wanting to waste a few hours of your life doing nothing productive, then get this game. If you're looking for a realistic, open-world co-op shooter, get Arma III or Squad. i my only wish is that this game enabled characters to climb cliff , walls and buildings like in dying light - also I hope ubisoft patches the game to allow exotic guns to be customised - and lastly - I hope ubisoft keeps dropping patches with more missions and bosses with TONS of new exotic weapons - that would keep me coming back for more .
Overall I LOVE this game but fear once all the bosses are dead and I've collected all the weapons and upgrades it might lose it's appeal - Im hoping Ubisoft keeps dropping new bosses and weapons into the game - overall 9/10 IMHO

Yes, the fruit did fall far from the tree as this is not your typical Ghost Recon game which might turn off a lot of fans of the series. The coop is really what might set this apart from other open world titles and it makes the game more interesting. Another plus is the freedom to choose the flow of the story mission and how you approach each one. Graphics are a hit and miss but considering the draw distance, I completely understand. Gun-play is awesome and the weapons do feel different from one another. I highly recommend playing this on the highest difficulty as it gives it a more tactical feel. I see lot of reviewers here who base it on the beta and I think it doesn't give them credibility nor does it give the game justice. Expand

So you have to spend a lot of time with the **** driving controls. I would take the division over this any day. Of the last few Ubi games i would put them The Division>Wildlands>WatchDogs2. If your bored this isn't a bad game, but if you have any other somewhat interesting games you will quickly find yourself leaving this one to play them.

The problem for me I think is the repetitive gameplay. There is sssssoooooo much to do. The map is littered with side missions like getting intel, supplies, rescuing rebels, etc. It just all feels the same. Sure, technically all games are repetitive, especially in shooters like this. There just isn't much to grab on to. I could care less about my character, or any other character for that matter which makes it hard for me to justify doing every mission. There is just a disconnect there. The game shines the most when playing with friends, and NOT the AI buddies. We were able to get into some wacky situations. We also were able to coordinate tactical strikes, and finish missions without being seen at all. We were ghosts, so to speak. :-) In that sense it gives you a feeling of accomplishment. The sync shots are really cool. This is when you have maybe 3 or 4 enemies standing around next to each other or far apart and call your shots. Maybe one friend gets one enemy, another friend gets another enemy, so on and so forth. You all fire at the same time and the enemies drop without alerting anyone nearby. I found though, that going in guns blazing was much more fun to me, and the best part is the game doesn't feel like it's punishing you for doing it that way mostly because of how well the game plays. Just for context sake I liked The Division wwwaaayyyy more. It kinda seems like, (with my friends anyway) that if you hated The Division you might really like Wildlands and if you loved The Division you may not like Wildlands. Either way I would probably wait on this one. At least until the price drops a little bit, or you can find a used copy. Expand

I was happy with what I created, minus the things that need to be bought (Micro-transactions) or unlocked and I started the game. I joined up with my friends and to be fair, we had a really good time playing it. The different approaches and how the AI react to your actions really impressed us.

The scenery was nice and the Urban Warfare was fun. My only negative though is the Friendly AI in single player. they can be a bit useless at times.

What is wrong with people reviewing a game less than minutes after playing, or not playing at all and only the beta!? After 20 hours in and two regions nearly down, so far so good. Some of the best gaming experiences with a coop friend. Really memorable. So we cleared area one, and went a region to the north. Before we knew it we were raiding casino's, destroying slot machines, storming secret cocaine hideouts under mountains, Running through a holiday resort killing cartel, tanking down within a gym and Not a single repetitive mission. the AI was fun. So many times we got spotted, so many times we managed to loose them or they couldn't find us and gave up. Skydiving in at night, under night vision then switching to infrared to pick out those hard to see enemy's. Its incredibly fun and I'm nowhere near completion. I'm hearing the other regions are equally diverse. The gun play is immersive and satisfying and the equipment customisation is rediculously in depth. Long barrels to multiple scopes to all types of grips, so many combinations to explore. I'm hearing comparison with GTA, ok so the driving isn't as good, but this isn't a focused driving game, gta is. However GTA as soon as you step out of the car, the movement mechanics to me are terrible. The duck and cover system is clunky along with the aiming with guns is terrible. This game has nailed that, you can pick off head shots from 400 yards allowing for ballistics (drop, speed distance and gravity). Its completely open for you to play out the missions how you want. My friend and I are still waiting for the other two to buy the game before we go 4 player, but we still managed to setup some of the most amazing moments. We would ambush the cartel, he would sniper and grenade launcher the convoys from a hill while I layed down some heavy fire to clean up the stragglers. It looked incredible coordinating play in this way. Each taking a role, spotting covering each others backs and when it all goes wrong, being able to quickly remove silencers and go loud with all weapons is also amazing. Anyway what would I know am only 20 hours in, so don't take my work for it.

The map is really big and all the vehicles that I have drove handle fine and haven’t had a problem. So many different ways to complete missions you can scout out the location with your drone and pop people off with a sniper or go in guns blazing. Every time you level up you get points to unlock or make things better eg: Better drone battery life, Stamina for when running and so on. I haven’t found any bugs yet but I would like to see a dark zone PVP mode like in the Division tho. I know a update is coming out with 4 v 4 PVP but I liked the dark zone module. Enemies are abundant and appear to have better AI then your NPC counterparts.

With that said, there are some minor bugs that I've noticed so far. None of which are game breaking and some are pretty hilarious. One in particular seems to occur at random when you and your Co-op team load up in a vehicle. If done in the right sequence you will notice that one of the three passengers will never appear to have entered the vehicle even though they most certainly have. When you drive away this team member will appear as being behind the vehicle running at a high rate speed to keep up with you. This also occurs in helicopters. The visuals are stunning without a doubt and the realism definitely sticks out, however, the open world is almost too open. I actually preferred the small scale of the Division's NY setting. Probably because of the vast amount of time I spent travelling to a mission apparently only 2 miles away, but 10 minutes to get to. If you aren't playing with friends, the AI can be hit or miss if not given specific demands. The cartel idea actually makes for a really good story, it just isn't executed well. I feel like this game struggles to identify what type of shooter it wants to be. The various amount of ways you can take on a mission is great, but if you plan on doing stealth, you are better off doing it with the AI.

The multiplayer was frustrating. You HAVE to have a set group before the mission or else randomly selecting people, you end up with people 3-4 miles away. This game isn't terrible, it just doesn't feel like a Ghost Recon. More like a Mercenaries with better graphics and a more straightforward story.

Giving this game 8 and 10 when MGS5 exist is pretty retarded but you have to expect white knight defending it because it got next to no good feedback in the beta ive never seen anything like it people where legit pissed and i understand this isnt ghost recon its a GTA online watch dogs far cry machup and a bad one. Im giving it a 4 because it can really be fun with friends. People saying it is good have nothing good to say except its a good game they cant point out whats good because its not good its fun with friends but far from good. And comparing this garbage to MGS5 is pretty retarded. Expand

Ghost Recon: Wildlands excels in the sheer size of it and has a ton of content which offers you and your friends endless possibilities and lots of fun. The gameplay, on the other hand, is often repetitive, which causes the game to be just a little less than fantastic.
