Titanfall 2 surprised me. The Campaign is Fun, But Short. I was left wanting more, But you can tell they put a lot in the Multiplayer. I never have had issues with any connections and it feels smooth. The Transition from pilot to titan is amazing. This is an underrated game.

Titanfal 2- really surprised and pleased me
    1. A variety of gameplay. It’s really interesting to play, the game will not let you get bored on one role from one hundred and thirty times every half an hour or an hour you change titanium to a common character
    2. The campaign. Ideal for those who are looking for a short story for several evenings where there are a good story and gorgeous

I bought this for 4.99 before it becoming free on PSN, a few months back, no complaints though. Well worth the 4.99 for the 7ish hours I got out of the story. Such a nice little story in such a short time. Didn't bother with multiplayer, not big on the mode in general.

    Pros:
    - FPS single player games are usually a dull generic affair. This is so different, a short story mode ensures constant enjoyment throughout with some great missions. The mission where you have to switch between fighting in 2 different times is something totally unique and thrilling, possibly the best FPS mission ever!
    - The multiplayer is great fun with the variation in each match as you switch between titans and your pilot. This keeps every match fun and creates some thrilling encounters
    - Traversal in this game is very fun and has been attempted to be copied by many other games

    Cons:
    - I feel the major let down here is that the game appears to have been somewhat abandoned shortly after launch. So while you can enjoy online in a casual manor, there is no real competitive mode which could have led to long term support that is seen in other games such as Overwatch and RS: Siege.

I didn't expect anything from the game, I didn't play the first one and got this one on PS Plus. In the end, I loved the game, very fun and the gameplay is excellent.
The graphics are beautiful and the story was ok, it was enough to trap me, I'm not playing online, I just used the campaign mode in my review.

If you like fast phase multiplayer fps games, then this is something for you. The Campaign was also really good and would say it is the best fps action single player story I played (except for Half Life 2). Too bad this didn't sell because it is hell of a fun game and it would be nice to a sequele. The only bad thing about this game is the graphic.

This game never got the amazing reception it deserves. Today, only around 1,000 players play the game. It really makes me sad to see the game that bested Call of Duty in every way back then, was overshadowed by its bigger brother Battlefield. Because both are published by EA. But if you havent played this yet, just do it already. (Also I played on Xbox One, but reviewing on the Playstation 4 page because it has the highest score for whatever reason). Expand

The guns feel great, and playing as a Titan feels weighty and powerful, as it should.

The only negative I have is the campaign’s length, and for that, I docked it

    Solid FPS, very dynamic.

The campaign has a lot of original game design ideas. We feel it was not there just to give us targets to shoot on, but a deep thought from the devs on how they can make this give us feelings, threats, and fun. Everytime, I was like "no, there cannot be another original game design idea", and there always is. Space travels, climbing, etc, it is never boring as

Everytime, I was like "no, there cannot be another original game design idea", and there always is. Space travels, climbing, etc, it is never boring as we discover everytime new and original mechanics and new way to beat the threats.

The multiplayer is quite awesome too. I love the attrition mode, as this is a kind of Team Deathmatch, but that avoid camping, as if you don't move and roam, you leave the enemy get all the points by farming CPU soldiers, which the frags will give points too.
Almost the only mode I've played for hundred of hours, both on PC and PS4, so I'll cannot give my opinion on other modes, but this one is really amazing, and just that makes me give it a legit 9.
I hope this PvPvE TDM idea without objective is used in other shooting game taking place in different space time, this idea is not the most original, but has never been seen before as far as I know.

The gameplay itself is fast, you can have a grapple, you can wall ride, double jump, this gives a very fast pace.
The feeling at shooting, roaming, is very amazing. The titan fights become more tactic.

At the time I'm talking, the game looks still very alive. Reinstalled it today to give it a new shot, after a long break, and I've played 10 games in a row without more than 10 seconds of queue everytime.

The is no micro transaction, no pay to win, everything is unlockable in game and quite fast.

The only con I would give is not dued to Respawn (the studio), but I feel mouse/keyboard players will clearly have an advantage on controller players, which can be annoying when you meet some on PS4.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Where do I start?

    Campaign:
If you're looking for a long, story and lore rich experience, it may not be for you. There is a very basic 'stop the bad guys' plot and some lore outside of the game but nothing special.
What I can say is that the way the levels are designed makes them very unique and fun. Each level is great and has a different gimmick or style which means every second is spent having fun.

    Multiplayer:
Where do I start? The multiplayer is brilliant. You may see a lot of people say it is cod v2 with mechs but it's way more than that. This game has a very good movement system allowing you do do things that are impossible in cod. A few maps too play very differently than if they were in cod. Where in call of duty you would be stuck to the ground, titanfall shifts that to the rooftops. This stuff just takes time to learn which is good as it gives people a way to always improve. I also see people complaining about there being no skill based but I see this as a positive. While it is annoying to be beaten by veterans, new players should use this as an opportunity to watch what they do and how they play, and apply that to their playstyle. Everyone was a noob once. Another positive is that a lot of the veteran players are actually nice. Unlike cod and halo, the veteran and comp players are all welcoming and generally are happy to help teach new players tips and tricks and include them into the community. (don't confuse them with the campers who are quite toxic though) Negatives: I will be giving some general negatives of the game, but don't let these drive you away from this game... The mp progression shows how long you have been playing, not how good you are. I'm g34 and am better than most Max players on my servers (gen 100)

The net code is a bit iffy. You will experience a few times where that last bullet will clip you even though you were behind the corner, although it isn't hideously broken.

Some guns in multiplayer are absolutely broken, and the multiplayer has no real direction. Console is dominated by people who camp with the spitfire and g2, which really just shows the impact that cod has on the shooter industry. Another boost in the game is the smart pistol. This little demon is aimbot...put simply. Just look at the enemy and it locks onto the target for guaranteed headshots. Thank you for reading my review and while it was long winded I hope it provides some insight into what the game will involve if you decide to get it

The element of having both fast-paced FPS gun battles and completely-different, but equally entertaining Titan showdowns in one game is so unique and enjoyable. You have a solid list of weapons, that all play differently, as well as a solid set of Titan loadouts to choose from.

In addition, the platforming in the game is surprisingly fun. Many of the platforming sessions are setup like puzzles, that require both strategy and technique to complete.

The multiplayer is solid as well, and I appreciate that it isn't loaded with various paid add-ons and loot nonsense.

I loved this game and finished the campaign wanting more. Minor downgrade because I felt the campaign was a little bit on the short-side. Titanfall 2 is a must-play for the PS4.

FPS meets mech game with a dash of Prince Of Persia style acrobatics in this beautiful looking military adventure. The platforming element means that you can approach combat with speed and aggression rather than the usual creeping around. Not quite the measure of the Halo games, but it retains their spirit much better than Bungie's own Destiny series does.

I'll never understand how games like this are so overviewed when compared to, for example (just because i finished both games in the same week) gears 5. this one is a lot better, less cringey, more fast paced. more cinematographic even. this is an easy strong 8 for me

Gameplay: 9, Graphics: 7, Story: 6. This game is so much better than the original one, they finally add a campaign mode, although the story sucks, but the game multiplayer is pretty much improved in every way. The combat are amazing and there are a lot more content, game mode,.. than the original, but the graphics still a weak point

It’s a nice 8.5/10 game not worth the “could be the FPS of the year” **** found in most reviews.
Do yourself a favor and play the single player Doom campaign first. It’s amazing.
As for the multiplayer? For me it’s just another Call of Duty. This means it’s great, but in no way truly different from what we all know (and mostly love). I was very disappointed. The game starts on a high

As for the multiplayer? For me it’s just another Call of Duty. This means it’s great, but in no way truly different from what we all know (and mostly love). I was very disappointed.

The game starts on a high note. Visually stunning and in fluid 60 frames per second. The first level is absolutely gorgeous. My first (not very technical) impression was: “holy **** they outdid Uncharted 4 and in 60fps! Why would I buy the PS4 PRO? How much better can it get?”. Yes, it’s that good.
That is all the praise this game is going to get from me though.
The graphics are so amazing that for the first hour or so you don’t notice how boring the gameplay is. It’s only when the visual splendor drops drastically (to recover at the final part of the game for a short while) that you notice that this is just another Call of Duty game with wall-running and Titans. To be fair, the visual fidelity is not changing at all. It’s the “story” that takes place in some terribly dull environments like the really dark sewage system or the weird sci-fi factory (that makes you jump like it’s a new Mario with guns).
I bought the game after reading how amazing it is in the reviews. It’s cool but not that great.

Let me point out the main problems in this game for me:

    1. Wall-running and jumping is unpredictable. You’ll die many times because the system is unpredictable. The good thing here is that after every “parkour death” you will restart quickly just were you died
    2. Guns are so confusing. This is a Call of Duty problem because it doesn’t work in the sci-fi setting. While we love to have the real names of all guns and many of us know the brands and models from movies or thug’s life (wink), it is pointless to name the fake guns using codes and numbers (for example something like RC270) in a game that has so many weapons. Easy solution? Less weapons that are almost the same and more characteristic names (funnily enough some of those weapons do just that, like the Mastiff-something riffle).
    3. The levels are boring in my opinion, and the shooting scenarios are chaotic and easily forgettable.
    4. Titans are no mechs. They’re more like exosuits. I love mech games and this does not feel right. It’s cool, but it lacks the feeling of being in a powerful machine with amazing defense and slightly less mobility. The CoD Killstreak rewards seem much more powerful to me.

Now the good things about this game:
    1. It’s solid. The framerate seems perfect, visuals are never below technically great (even if on the boring side most of the campaign). When it works it can be spectacular.
    2. Titan entering animation is fantastic.
    3. Some story elements are interesting but they are very rare (like the time travel mechanic).
    4. Gameplay is just like any other Call of Duty game so if you like that, it’s great for you.
    5. Story is a bit less stupid than usually but the storytelling itself is **** It goes like this: “Go here. Oh! We barely made it! Yaaaay!!! Now let’s do this again and again and, OH! Wait! Let’s do another poorly disguised fetch quest cause we’re here anyway. OK guys, this is really the last one, you guys! HA! just kidding. OK now we’re really done. You did it! Great job”.

    Disclaimer:
    1. Any game that has a single player campaign can be judged by it. 70 Euros is a lot of money so I feel entitled to feel disappointment when what I receive isn’t exceptional. Excuses like “oh it’s a multiplayer game” are the reason we are getting ****ty campaigns like this one (or worse) so often these days.
    2. The review is not very in-depth, because I don’t like this game enough to waste more time on it.

I really don't thing Battlefield is a game for everyone, you will need to put a bit more time in to the game. And their is no reason to even compare this to COD. COD is leagues under all FPS shooters that came out this year AKA TRASH. If you want fast game play, sharp gun play, and just overall fun. This is the game.

I played the MP for a good few hours and felt it was bland, lifeless and dull. The maps were uninspired, the combat weak, the gameplay slow and the titans felt sluggish and useless. The game is littered with bots and it's a rarity you end up fighting other online players. The team should have stuck to modern warfare style games as they produced the best call of duty ever made; MW2.

Its sad that this is a result of some great programmers. I cant see there been another titanfall after this game.

So really theres no point buying into this franchise when there are two far better FPS games out currently.

EDIT: In 2019 I re-purchased the game in a sale after playing the brilliant Apex Legends. I played through the single player campaign and put a good amount of time into the multiplayer (which as still very much alive). And I completely regret my original scoring of 3. The game is far better than I had made out. The campaign was excellent although a little short. The multiplayer was good fun and well balanced. I enjoyed the game and regret not playing it in its prime. So I've changed the score to a 8.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's very different from the first game mainly cuz it actually has a campaign in it and it's not just multiplayer only.

But I did enjoy the campaign as it was more focused on the relationship between pilot and Titan which I felt was really needed. How Cooper and BT was working together through this whole game was inspiring. Course some levels seem predictable and very cliched then again there was some parts that kept me guessing. I really like the level where you kept going through Rifts in time. I have a really fun switching back and forth. Like past time control games really need something like that. Also, it did a better job of telling the story than the first game did. Of course that would have been hard seeing that it was just being played in the background while you were in the middle of the multiplayer.

Speaking of the multiplayer, I was having trouble with it at first but I think it's because I've been playing a lot of OverWatch and and not enough Call of Duty lately. I need to get back into the element of the modern shooter. And sometimes it's good and sometimes it's frustrating being killed out of nowhere. It was just too used to the run-and-gun type style of playing when I'm more of a stay and defend type guy.

All in all, I enjoy playing this and would recommend it to anyone who like Shooters as well as giant robots.

I played the Modern Warfare remaster right before this and it was so good that I was kind of hopeing they just ripped off their own work an a modern setting....but nah...seems like nobody who worked on the story of MW actually went to Respawn. The Mech sections do not disappoint, feeling powerful and distinct form one another while still being easy and fun to use.
The Game's campaign is short, but each level is unique and memorable. The combat feels good and the scenarios you go through are very creative and fun.
Multiplayer is easy to learn, but very distinct. The use of Titans, AI grunts, and movement options makes for an addictive experience which still has players today.

It's weird to think, even more so by playing and finishing it, that this brilliant shooter came out half a decade ago. What made it different probably also helps make it look still new.

Titanfall 2's plot, to be honest, may not have anything special. But it's the rhythm, execution and the always-on-track good writing that makes it interesting and easy to follow and enjoy. The BT-Jack Cooper duo is enough to hold up the plot perfectly; the cast of "villains" works. The writing could have been better, such as clearly explaining how the Fold Weapon works. Also, the "Effect and Cause" level suggests that time travel plays a central role in the plot, but this is not the case; this could have been made clearer.

Apparently Titanfall 2 wouldn't be much very different from its contemporaries: it's a modern FPS with aim down sight, regenerative HPs and it's pretty linear... but the point being that among them, it stands out. It's not Doom (2016) and yet Titanfall 2, at least partially, follows its philosophy: it can be frenetic, fast, "the pilot" (if the player knows how to move) is furious, like sliding while killing enemies which is pretty fun. Verticality is good and double jump is essential in this sense as much as wall-running: a philosophy which reminds "push forward combat", in fact. It is true that not all levels are suitable for this approach, and some require a slower slant. The level design, however, is great and really impressive at times such as the smoothness and seamless time shifting in "Effect and Cause" emblematic level, both combat and platforming, which is really a peak for the genre, an incredible technical and design achievement. Shooting feedback also works pretty well. Piloting the Titan, the "walking tank", the other side of gameplay, is a nice thing. It might look less hectic and more boring but it's what varies the gameplay and makes it more interesting. Titan combat requires a good perception of space and good timing using offensive means to outperform enemy Titans; the spirit of the "fight among titans" is there and radio communications with enemies contribute to a good visual/audio atmosphere. There are several sets of Titan equipment: each different weapon also has a time-based recharging ability or gadget which can be used altogether for advantage and a powerful final attack that recharges when hits are scored. The Titan has no regenerative HPs and needs batteries to recover them, of which there is rarely a shortage. Enemy Titan boss battles happen and are all in all appreciable but one.

And this brings me to some major flaws. First of all, there is a huge baffling leap from penultimate to last skill level: it really seems like skipping 2 skill levels, not just one. Like that, it's probably one of the FPSs in which the player dies quicker among those I played and I played many of them. As such, that little bit of "push forward combat" that distinguished Titanfall 2 is nullified as it becomes a generic move-and-cover Call of Duty-like video game out of necessity. The higher skill level highlights flaws that are already there, even if less perceived otherwise as one soon realises, among other things, that the cloak ability offers no tactical advantage to the point it's useless, as it either lasts too short or recharges too slowly or both. Not to mention the infamous Viper boss fight: skill levels aside, why is the boss battle level so tight (basically a corridor) yet bumpy at the sides that it slows down the already clumsy Titan when manoeuvring? Why are there no effective shelters? Why is Viper simply so advantaged besides being a flying enemy which makes it challenging opponent in the first place? It's a whole game design mess, really, which makes a huge contrast to awesome stuff like "Effect and Cause". And finally, the game is short; too short and should have lasted at least half as long more for an acceptable longevity.

Titanfall 2 is a good-looking video game. I am pleased to see that Valve's Source game engine still looks this good with the necessary updates, although it has been said the engine has been modified to the point it can be considered something in its own right. It's nothing revolutionary (while Source was in 2004) but some scenarios in particular show a high tier quality. Graphics quality doesn't negatively impact game's performance, which maintains a solid frame rate.

Titanfall 2 is great game and one of the best FPSs ever made although it is far from perfect. I don't think it's the evolution of the genre but it is certainly a successful design exercise that left its mark. Highly recommended for people wanting to play something different among modern FPSs.

It made me think of Infinite Warfare but better in some ways. I was really impressed by some mechanics such as the present/future switch on one of the missions. More generally, the movements of both the solider and the titans feel super smooth and neat. I think I’ve rarely seen a FPS with such perfect movement and gun firing mechanics. They feel very fluid and graphically it’s beautiful.

We thus have a very good gameplay that didn’t get boring supported by graphics that are on par. Regarding the multiplayer, all I said applies as well. I think the content is maybe a bit light as opposed to the competition, but it is enjoyable and brings a new dimension thanks to the Titans.

I also want to emphasize on the fact that from what I’ve played, not a single weapon feels useless. I think there is a very good balancing in this game and every weapon has some advantage that the others don’t. This makes the game less repetitive as you’re encline to play all the content. In CoD, it is recurrent to see 5 weapons that almost feel the same.

The same is true for the Titan loadouts. I haven’t played them all in multiplayer, but regarding the campaign, I’ve felt usefulness for each of them.

Great game! Probably one of the best FPS I’ve played in terms of quality. It just needs more content to be perfect.

Most fps games reward your performance with a super ability that lasts a few seconds, but in titanfall you get a huge mech that can stay the whole match if you're good enough, the feeling of piloting a huge mech is something I never got the chance to do in an fps until now and I'm glad it's on ps4.

Campaign: Positives: Much better that Titanfall 1. Actually cared about the story and was immersed with my titan. Fun game play and plenty of action. Negatives: Campaign will last you only about 4-5 hours depending on how fast you play and if you search for collectibles. The campaign felt too easy. I finished the game on hard mode with only dying once.

To summarize this game is a better game than Titanfall 1 and does have some slips here and there but that doesn't mean the game deserves a 0 rating some people are giving it. This is one of my favorite shooters that has come out and I recommend this to anyone who loves fps. As someone who doesn't play first-person shooters, Titanfall 2 ticked a lot of boxes for me and I thoroughly enjoyed my playthrough. The unique approach to platforming integrated into the game, the fun story and interesting human-mech interaction made it feel fresh despite aesthetic similarities to other franchises.

Considering the trim nature of FPS campaigns (6 hours in this case), it was pretty compelling to playthrough and dealt with a standard space war with a time-bending twist. Levels directly referencing the more fantastical parts of the plot were excellent and constantly surprised you with how the story merged with the gameplay. The characters are pretty forgettable sci-fi architypes but the real exception is your mech buddy BT-7274. He is charming and funny, and provides true heart to an otherwise cold and unforgiving world. Narrative beats involving the player's relationship to BT were genuinely heartfelt and well-written. The graphics are vibrant and colourful too, and I really loved exploring round both natural and technological environments.

Gameplay is the real focus here and is fast, furious and inventive. Using the player character is like any other FPS (a multitude of futuristic guns, grenades and dodging) with a twist - wall-running. The game has large platforming sections where you need to expertly slide and bounce from wall to wall to make seemingly impossible jumps or scale vertical structures, all the while shooting up enemies. It's exhilarating if slightly clumsy in some sections. The other part of the game sees you jump inside BT and control him. This is where the real fun lies and I loved these sections. Mechs have around 8 loadouts which are tailored to different attack styles and can be switched instantly. These include light attack, heavy rockets, flame attacks, an energy sword, laser guns and more. You fight enemy mechs in brutal bouts which can be a bit frustrating given the mechs lesser degree of maneuverability. And smashing through human enemies is a pleasure. At first, these sections are written well into the story and see you and BT switching between each other for their unique skills. The latter half is more of an all-guns blazing war, which is less satisfying but still fun. The game sort of fizzles out however, with no 'final boss' so to speak of which was disappointing. The campaign is REALLY short and I'd have loved to play for another 10 hours but, hey, this is an FPS. Online multiplayer looks great, but I haven't played it, so can't comment effectively. I imagine using mechs and sliding in rapidfire arenas would be excellent.

Despite some control issues and an standard affair, cut-short plot, Titanfall 2 does enough different to keep it heads and shoulders above its peers. Truly an underrated gem, fans of shooters, sci-fi or even just unique interesting experiences should check this out and fall in love with BT like I did!

I'm only reviewing the campaign. I liked it a lot. The chemistry between Cooper and BT was amazing. Very fun gameplay. Story was good enough. There is tons of good ideas in this game. Solid 8/10.

The main campaign was notably entertaining and fairly challenging, I played it on hard and while it wasn't the most punishing experience ever, I did see the continue screen quite a few times. While the enemy AI wasn't that great, they were aggressive, and it didn't felt to me that they rely on extremely long HP to increase the difficulty, which I appreciate a lot.

While the enemy AI wasn't that great, they were aggressive, and it didn't felt to me that they rely on extremely long HP to increase the difficulty, which I appreciate a lot.

What I wasn't expecting to find on its campaign was interesting lore with colorful and charming characters or at least some of them. In contrast with its universe, the presented story is pretty basic, yet serviceable, what you need to know is that you're a pilot on a mission, which is ok after all is an action-focused game so the story and lore are more like a complement to its gameplay. The main character is more or less in the same knowledge as you, so you'll get some exposition dialogue here and there to give you enough information to move along through the events unfolding.

The main star of this show, however, is the gameplay, mobility on land is standard for an FPS but once you add double jumping, sliding, and wall running to the mix, it adds a lot of energy and dynamism to the combat. Weapon selection is nothing to write home about but the basics are covered, snipers, assault rifles, shotguns, etc. everything is covered so it wouldn’t be a problem for anyone to find the right one. The stages evolve through the chapter and have a lot of diversity, so you will be seeing different types of environments. The rhythm of the campaign is great, and even if it uses the same formula over each chapter: take this item, then kill some enemies, then go to point B and take down the boss, it never felt tiresome or repetitive, since you will be making puzzle solving and fighting titans in the mix you always have a sense of going forward. The cherry on top of the cake might be the boss battles. These fights are basically a showroom of what each Titan is capable of doing and in that regard, the main campaign can be also like a tutorial for the online mode which can be quite fierce, still, single-player mode holds quite good by itself.

It's worth to note that it is a short campaign, it took me around 6 hours to beat it, so if you're looking to play this game for single player, you have to consider this, still, its adventure is for the most well packaged of everything, and it has some replayability in the form of collectibles but nothing special.

Online mode however is where most of your time is going to be. Before entering a match you’ll be selecting your type of pilot and Titan, each with a customizable loadout of skills and weapons. In the beginning, you'll start with a few selections of everything but you can unlock more stuff when leveling up your base level. To unlock things more quickly you can use credits (the in-game's currency), these credits are obtainable by achieving goals in battles like winning, level up a weapon, have a good performance, etc. this is called the merit system and the better you play the more credits you get. You can also level up each weapon and Titans, to unlock better mods and skills. As for the aesthetic customization, I think it was disappointing, each type of pilot and Titan are different from each other but you are stuck with their default designs, you can unlock and purchase color skins, there are a lot of them but frankly they don't look that different, I am all out for aesthetic customization but here I didn't care since the result would not be that different, this didn't affect my gameplay experience of course, as it is a superficial matter, nonetheless as for a game as online-inclined as this, it would benefit with more customization freedom.

Titanfall 2 comes with a wide range of modes, but given the time I played it, each mode seemed almost dead or the queues too long to wait, everything except Attrition. Attrition is the main and seemingly standard online mode on which 6 vs 6 players go into death-match, the purpose of this mode is to gather 650 points before the opposite team to win, it is frenetic, it is fantastic but it is also unforgiven to newcomers.

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy Titanfall 2 this much, I don’t tend to play a lot of FPS or TPSs but it is rare for me to get hooked this much by one of them. If you’re looking for a single-player experience I think this game will cover you up for a few hours but most of them will be good, however, if you’re looking for a deep and lengthy experience you may pass on this one or get it on sale (which I think on the PSN store goes pretty regularly). On the other hand, if you’re looking for a great online multiplayer experience look no further, although its customization is limited or repetitive, you’ll have a blast still. Like a good action movie, Titanfall 2 delivers in what is required and excels at it, its clever mechanics and gameplay fluidity overshadows its shortcomings and makes for a well-wrapped and satisfying experience.

This is a very impressive game, particularly in the modern climate where a typical FPS has little to no campaign mode.

The storyline was not the most coherent until near the end, and I was still not sure why the Ark was so significant, but this did not mar my experience. The interaction between Jack and BT was very memorable. Gameplay-wise, fighting other titans was the most uneven

Gameplay-wise, fighting other titans was the most uneven part of the game for me. Some titans were defeated very easily whilst others seemed to take less damage despite being identical titans. Maybe I was doing something wrong, but it just came across as very unbalanced.

Kudos to the creators for not over-using the time travel gimmick. It was a great concept that did not outstay its welcome.

There can be a few frustrating platforming sections, but these are rare and won't take more than a few attempts. Fortunately the game is very generous with checkpoints.

The campaign mode may seem a bit short, but I found it to be the perfect length as it does not outstay its welcome and I never got bored of it.

Overall this is a very good game that is very good value when around the £10 mark. I am not really a huge fan of the FPS genre but this was recommended to me and I would recommend it to any gamer.

I’m repeating myself here, but this game truly is a masterpiece.

If you decide to jump in the multiplayer nowadays, prepare to get destroyed badly by experienced players who have been playing it since launch. Don’t let this hold you down though! Give yourself time to learn its tricky movement system, and you’ll see the beauty that this game really is.

It’s a shame that this game didn’t sell well, but EA put this game out to die. What happens when you release a sequel to an underwhelming shooter from 2014 right next to infinite warfare. My only criticism is it was quite short, I finished it in 2-3 days, not sure how many hrs.. BUT: Some of the level design and overall art direction is some of the best I’ve seen, definitely on par with Dishonored 2’s Clockwork Mansion which is a marvel of level design. So,

I’m not usually into FPS’s as it can get repetitive quickly, but the fluidity of the gameplay along with the level design made it interesting and rewarding. If your into sci fi you should definitely try it out.

Gameplay for on foot and in a Titan is fast and energetic with no slowdown, On foot you are almost always on the move shooting enemies, running on walls, and rodeoing Titans. When you are in a Titan it makes you feel like a overpowered walking tank with many different weapons and mobility options.Guns in the game feel quick and responsive and have no lag or latency and gunplay for pilots and Titans feel different and unique from each other. The storytelling is predictable but enjoyable you can see everything they are planning a mile away. The relationship between the Cooper and the BT is one of the best parts of the story and some of the dialogue between BT and Cooper can be serious and funny but never had me think for a second that Cooper was just talking to some robot BT genuinely felt like a person and was one of the most interesting characters of the story but the problem with that is some of the other characters in the story have no meaning and honestly the only interesting characters to me were BT, Cooper, and Kuben Blisk but that's probably because he had more than five minutes of screen time unlike the rest of the antagonist who died at the level you meet them on plus he is a badass mercenary who isn't a good or bad guy and is only motivated by money he sit in the morally Gray and the ending only made him more interesting. Your allies of the militia are as bland as bread and you could replaced them and there wouldn't be a difference and the main bad guys the IMC kind of seems to be an afterthought and the Apex predators totally outshine the IMC in every way the only guy I remember from the IMC is general Marder I think he is the only member of the IMC who is on screen and he's just another generic bad guy. The multiplayer is fast paste and competitive with many different modes to play my personal favorite being attrition. Customisation of your pilot and Titan are to do and fun to work for with different challenges to unlock different skins for your guns,Titan, and pilot it can be a bit grind e but you don't notice it when you're just playing for fun and you end up completing more than one challenge just because you were playing the game. First of all the gameplay is fluid and sometimes fast paced and with the introduction of the parkour mechanics such as wallrun and walljump , the game gets very satisfying and chalenging without being very hard. The game has also a variety of weapons to choose from but the greatest weapon of all is the Titan which has also a great variety of loadouts for you to experiment with different combat styles.
The story is good but a little stereotypical. After all it's a war game.Although the bond between the main character and the Titan is something special and through the dialogues they are having, this special bond is visible in the game.
The level design of this game is just Incredible.Even when the game puts you in places where lots of things are happening and you dont know where to go you decide to follow a path and then it turns out to be the only way out ,giving you the illusion of freedom. The addition of the ghost runner in the parkour sequences wasn't that helpful to me because the path you had to follow was clear and easily accessible. But the absence of the ghost runner would have been a pain for those who have a bad time figuring out where they have to go.
Titanfall 2 was good but it had some annoying bugs and the campaign was a little short. As i have already mentioned the story wasn't that great and i think it could be better.Clearly the developers emphasized the gameplay and the graphics in contrast with the story.
Overall the game is visually beautiful and the variety of environments combined with the amazing music and the above characteristics make this game a great accomplishment for Respawn Entertainment.
