So far the campaign is pretty fun to play. It's smooth and fast and allows you to approach enemies in different ways. No anoying foreced ingame cutscenes so far.

For the Multiplayer i can just say "wow". It's fast and smooth. The Game-modes are unique in my oppinion and the fact that you don't have a pay-2-win aspect or even dlc (EA said so) is awesome.
I think the game is what CoD could have been but failed. if you like sci-fi shooter with mechs: try it.
Origin refund is always an option.

Game is great, i really like big multiplayer maps, very rewarding weapons and kills. Sometimes a little sparse in players compared with BF1 but still, solid, 60fps, no lag, much like overwatch in that sense, very tight multiplayer servers it would seem. For a game I'd never heard of before last week, I am blown away, campaign like doom, multiplayer like overwatch, but one game, feels complete... For once! (Both campaign and multiplayer are excellent) a gutsy move releasing this amongst the clash of the Titans- bf1 and cod IW, but it's better than bf1 (although I love that) and can't speak for IW yet, but I'd be surprised if it's anywhere near as good. In some cases this is a good thing, however in other aspects it is a downside in my personal opinion... The rodeo system has been highly automated, In the previous game the amount of damage you could deal to the enemy titan varies based on what weapon you have and how long you choose to risk staying on the enemy titan while being a bit of a sitting duck to the enemy team... In the new game however the time necessary for the rodeo animation to finish and the amount of damage dealt are fixed now and the player doesn't have to do anything during the animation (except jump off when the enemy titan uses it's electric smoke countermeasure.) Additionally titan customisation is much more rigid than the previous game. I can understand why this decision was made, however I would have preferred to have the flexibility of the previous games titan customisation... That aside I really enjoy the game. Their business model is very upfront unlike other AAA titans. You want certain paint jobs? No loot-boxes. Just buy the pack you want. Wanna see what each one looks like? Guess what. They have an in-store preview so you can see what it looks like on the Titan that you used last. No random micro-transaction nonsense or anything like that. Easily one of the best FPS games of the current generation. I suck at the game, but I love it anyway. Unfortunately though EA released this game in the same week as Battlefield 1 and Infinite Warfare, meaning it went unnoticed to many players on launch. Hopefully EA don't push their shady business model on Re-spawn entertainment for Titan-fall 3... This is basically the only franchise from EA that I have any interest in anymore... $35 for the Ultimate edition on the PS4 is a steal imo. If you guys like fast paced, non-stop, action packed, FPS games... Then why are you still reading this? Go and buy it now! Expand

Great fun. The campaign is fairly short, but great to play. The graphics are very good, the gameplay is challenging, but not overly so. The human weapons are more fun to use than the titan weaponry. The titans could have been kitted out with guns that wowed a bit more, but this isn't a major issue. Probably best to let it drop in price before purchasing, due to the limited replay value it has.

It quickly fell out of my "play regular" category and just went by the wayside without ever giving it a second thought other than when talking about games that "could have been." With that said, titanfall 2 delivered on every mark it missed in the first game. The gameplay is somehow better and more fluid. The multiplayer subtleness and nuances are spot on. The single player is actually really good and flows well with the game. Its just fun, and after all that is what games are supposed to be. - Excellent level design in the campaign, with each level seemingly more creative and exciting than the last
    - BT is well written and the jokes at its (his?) expense don't fall flat
    - Movement is fast but fully controlled, combining wall runs, power slides, double jumps and - in multiplayer only - grappling hooks to fly seamlessly through levels in both the campaign and multiplayer
    - Gunfire carries serious weight, both with their deep booming sound and the visible reactions of enemies in the campaign
    - Weapon selection is wide and diverse
    - Deep multiplayer customization
    - The amount of unlockable perks and skins in multiplayer is jaw dropping, and something new seems to unlock after every match
    - Graphically excellent, with no slow down or noticeable texture pop in
    - Bounty Hunt game mode: kill AI or enemies, store it away when the banks open. This loop is incredible, alternating between massive, open battles to tight, close up skirmishes
    - Controlling titans, in either campaign or multiplayer, feels incredible and powerful
    - Balancing is perfect in multiplayer, with no titan feeling overpowered, and with pilots feeling as though they have a chance to do real damage against enemy titans if they are good enough
    - Devs are adding new maps and game modes for free, not locked away behind a pay wall
    - Only microtransactions are for skins; no pay-to-win mechanics

    Cons:
    - Story is disjointed in the campaign
    - Limited options for connectivity in multiplayer - I want to be able to randomly join between just the game modes I like, not all or one

    Mixed:
    - The multiplayer maps are very hit or miss, and I think that everyone playing this will have their own personal opinions
    - The game modes are also hit or miss, but again I think this will come down to personal opinion
    - Depending on the time of day, connection times can vary from just seconds to almost a full minute
    - The game brings you back to the multiplayer menu after each multiplayer match. This is good in that it allows to check out your newly unlocked goodies, but it really breaks up the action in an undesireable way

For years I have avoided big budget triple A shooter's like they were infectious. Titanfall 2 was the first game to pique my interest, and now I think I may be in love. The campaign was the most balls-to-the-wall fun I'd had in a long time, and I still can't put down the multiplayer, 20 hours in. A must buy for all PS4 owners looking for a top of the line FPS

The focus is of course on the online multiplayer and Titanfall 2 offers a good selection of game modes from the usual deathmatches to capture the flag as well as modes where only titans or only pilots are allowed. More important however is the quality of the gameplay. Matches are fast paced and the mix of pilots and titans present ensures that you always have to be on your toes and ready for anything. I’ve played online now for a total of more than forty-eight hours and, while I’d personally like the option of a one hit kill ‘hardcore’ mode, I’m still having great fun with it. One minor area which I’m hoping will be improved upon with future DLC (all of which EA has said will be free) is the level design. All of the levels are decent enough but there is a bit of a lack of variety and, as a result, none of them are all that memorable.

To be honest the online multiplayer alone would have justified the £25 the game cost me but Titanfall 2 also has a very good, albeit pretty short, single player campaign as well. The gameplay is as solid as the multiplayer and some of the missions, such as one that involves jumping between two different time zones, are very imaginative.

All in all Titanfall 2 is a great value package and one that could get even better once all the free dlc is available.

Titanfall 2- one of the best fps (first person shooter) I’ve played in a long time. It has everything a good game should have, a campaign, multiplayer, and something unique to make it stand out from the rest of the games out there. Another important quality I want from a game is good graphics, and this game meets my expectations. This game is also available to most players since it’s on PS4, Xbox one, and PC. I received this game about a month after it was released,( Released on October 28th, 2016) and I have personally put a little over 36 hours into it over the past four months, is generally new, and cost around 60 dollars.

The content I’m always excited for is normally a good campaign, which this game beholds to me in a way that makes me feel actively engaged into the game and it’s story, and by far, this is the only game that has made me feel emotionally attached to a giant war robot/ titan, by the name of BT-7274. The campaign has a pretty generic protagonist, Jack Cooper, a rank three rifle man, who takes over his majors titan, BT-7274, after he’s killed in combat fighting against the IMC (the main antagonists), and your character, Jack Cooper, has had minimal training, he plays a large role in turning the war into the militia's favor, and the militia is the side of the war that you are fighting for. Pilots, are the soldiers who own their own titan, and after Cooper’s commander dies, he gives all of the titan’s controls over to him, making him a certified pilot. Throughout the rest of the game’s campaign, you finish the mission that was meant for major Anderson, who was your commanding officer. On your way through the game, you fight many other factions, for example the Apex Predators, who are mercenaries who don’t care for what's right, just for what pays well, and there are other factions as well. In my opinion the campaign was ok, not the best ever, but did a good job of getting the idea of titans through, and had me attached to the protagonist’s titan. BT-7274, and in the campaign BT slowly gets to know Cooper, and at least has a good sense of humor.

The multiplayer is what I play most in the game, and has a very addictive nature that i’ve become attached too. The reason this game’s multiplayer can separate itself from other futuristic shooters is that the titans make the multiplayer completely different than anything else I’ve played. What I like about the titans, and the feeling you get when you get enough points from eliminating other pilots and playing the objective to gain points to use your titan, and when you finally get in from the sky, it gives you a sense of sudden power, at least for me anyway. Though, you must be careful not to get your titan destroyed, since it is an online multiplayer there has to be balancing so the titans aren’t completely indestructible. The titans make the game unique, but the multiplayer itself is very addictive. There are a large variety of weapons and 7 unique pilot classes to suit your gaming style.

Something that changes the game completely is the mobility the player has, having the potential to jump on roof tops and off of walls just makes the game so much fun. The action of traveling on walls and roof tops runs smoothly, but glitches out every once in awhile. On the negative however, I feel that some weapons over power others, Whether one has better accuracy or damage or whatever it may be.Other than a few general balancing problems the game is perfect to me and a favorite at that. However, another positive that I like is the customization, where you can change the look of your character however you like, and you can earn character skins through completing task in the game. Last, but not least, the graphics are great. The graphics without a doubt are fabulous and run smoothly. Some games can’t handle having good graphics, depending upon the system it’s played on, but the PS4 does a good job at running the game and it’s graphics smoothly.

One thing that disappoints me the most is the lack of offline content. The campaign is great, but I feel like the game needs more, maybe some split screen content would’ve been excellent but it’s just not there, which is the problem. Another negative I have is that there should be more maps. Right now, there is a good amount of maps, but I like much variety in a game, and all i’d change are a few additional maps so I wouldn’t be consistently playing on the same maps, which is a common issue I have. The only thing that I think this game needs to make it absolutely perfect is some split screen, bonus single player content, a few additional maps and gamemodes, then it'd be the best game I've ever played.

Played this game after trying out Apex Legends, of which I enjoyed the solid gameplay and mechanics but not the forced squad gameplay that, without friends, just isn't as much fun. This is an overlooked masterpiece. The game is gorgeous and gameplay fluid. Pick this up for 20 and you will not be disappointed. I see why EA bought out Respawn entertainment!

In comparison to the first title, Titanfall 2 brings quite a few changes in the right direction. There's an entertaining, diverse and gripping story line but also an amusing multiplayer mode. The steering feels great and it's definitely fun to play against other people. Everything I missed in the first title can now be found on this one. However, it's a great game for newcomers too.

The campaign is told differently than other video games campaigns because it tells a proper story with moments that have a proper narrative, exploration, and time for contemplation. Unlike Call of Duty’s campaigns, this campaign is well paced and is not just fight after fight because it also incorporates missions and scenes that require the player to not just use their shooting abilities, but to also use their brain to solve complex puzzles. For example, there is a level where you obtain a time changing device where you can phase from a certain time in the past to the present, and you have to use this ability to get through a building that holds obstacles such as fires and lasers. Also, in this level, you a shifting through the past and present while living through the memories of a pilot that was on a previous mission. This is an interesting way for Titanfall 2 to execute this mission because it has the player be in the past and not just explore it. Other games would just have you walk around the building and find audio logs of the past. The soundtrack of the game is spectacular too, and it adds to the gamer’s experience by giving them a feeling or connection to the setting of the game. In a dark ominous cave, soft and slow music with a bit of violin on high notes adds an extra mood for the player that can make them feel worried or uneasy. Or during an epic battle, there is fast music playing with a drum beat that makes the player feel pumped or excited. The two main characters in the game have charismatic personalities that create a connection between them and the player. Jack Cooper, the character you are playing, has dialogue that you control with his titan BT. This dialogue triggers different responses or questions in the game that can often make you laugh. Titanfall 2 also offers a large amount of content with a campaign that takes the average player a week to finish. Also, the players are given 11 new planets to explore and 52 guns with more content still to come. Respawn Entertainment has created successes in the past such as the original Titanfall, Call of Duty, and Star Wars Games, and they did not disappoint us with Titanfall 2. Expand

Gameplay-wise, fighting other titans was the most uneven part of the game for me. Some titans were defeated very easily whilst others seemed to take less damage despite being identical titans. Maybe I was doing something wrong, but it just came across as very unbalanced.

Kudos to the creators for not over-using the time travel gimmick. It was a great concept that did not outstay its welcome.

There can be a few frustrating platforming sections, but these are rare and won't take more than a few attempts. Fortunately the game is very generous with checkpoints.

The campaign mode may seem a bit short, but I found it to be the perfect length as it does not outstay its welcome and I never got bored of it.

Overall this is a very good game that is very good value when around the £10 mark. I am not really a huge fan of the FPS genre but this was recommended to me and I would recommend it to any gamer.

The multiplayer is pretty great too but be warned, a lot of people playing it on consoles have been playing it for years. If you play it online on console, expect to get headshot by a guy flying across the map at mach 3. PC has plenty of that too but with the recent release on Steam, there's plenty of fresh blood so you should be fine there. While I don't like giving out scores of 10, I feel in the context of the game it earned it. The game went out with a plan of what it wanted to do and it hit every note perfectly and went beyond that.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Where do I start?

    Campaign:
If you're looking for a long, story and lore rich experience, it may not be for you. There is a very basic 'stop the bad guys' plot and some lore outside of the game but nothing special.
What I can say is that the way the levels are designed makes them very unique and fun. Each level is great and has a different gimmick or style which means every second is spent having fun.

    Multiplayer:
Where do I start? The multiplayer is brilliant. You may see a lot of people say it is cod v2 with mechs but it's way more than that. This game has a very good movement system allowing you do do things that are impossible in cod. A few maps too play very differently than if they were in cod. Where in call of duty you would be stuck to the ground, titanfall shifts that to the rooftops. This stuff just takes time to learn which is good as it gives people a way to always improve. I also see people complaining about there being no skill based but I see this as a positive. While it is annoying to be beaten by veterans, new players should use this as an opportunity to watch what they do and how they play, and apply that to their playstyle. Everyone was a noob once. Another positive is that a lot of the veteran players are actually nice. Unlike cod and halo, the veteran and comp players are all welcoming and generally are happy to help teach new players tips and tricks and include them into the community. (don't confuse them with the campers who are quite toxic though) Negatives: I will be giving some general negatives of the game, but don't let these drive you away from this game... The mp progression shows how long you have been playing, not how good you are. I'm g34 and am better than most Max players on my servers (gen 100)

The net code is a bit iffy. You will experience a few times where that last bullet will clip you even though you were behind the corner, although it isn't hideously broken.

Some guns in multiplayer are absolutely broken, and the multiplayer has no real direction. Console is dominated by people who camp with the spitfire and g2, which really just shows the impact that cod has on the shooter industry. Another boost in the game is the smart pistol. This little demon is aimbot...put simply. Just look at the enemy and it locks onto the target for guaranteed headshots. Thank you for reading my review and while it was long winded I hope it provides some insight into what the game will involve if you decide to get it

I used to play a lot of first person shooters last generation but recently lost my mojo when it comes to FPS games after the likes of Advanced warfare, mainly because I didn't feel like new FPS games brought anything interesting or compelling to the genre.

If you're like me, and you really want to get your FPS mojo back again, and feel like games like COD and Battlefield aren't really doing it for you anymore, then this is the perfect game for you.

BE WARNED though; Titanfall 2 brings a lot of cool new and interesting mechanics to the table, so it's going to take a while to get good with it in the multiplayer, even if you're amazing at other shooters. But it's refreshing, it's like picking up a good shooter for the first time again.

Brimming with content and quality, Titanfall 2 seeks to be the game we wanted back when Titanfall was first released a few years ago. What we have here is an offering that so far exceeds the original concept in every category that it impresses me in spite of my high expectations for it.
The single player is one of the most masterfully paced experiences I've played since the early Modern Warfare Games. The multiplayer now features a permanent unlock system and does away with the burn card system all together. Progression feels satisfying and is always giving you new toys to play with as you work towards unlocking the next new toy. The abilities significantly, and smartly, change the way you play the game and result in emergent play styles that are fun and satisfying in their own ways.
The presentation is polished to a satisfying degree resulting in a fairly constant, high frame rate throughout the game. The movement system, while impressively complex, is so well designed and executed that using it is intuitive and easy to understand. It's a point that easy to overlook until you look at other games that attempt to allow you to do half of what Titanfall 2 does with much less success.
Combat is blindingly fast and satisfying from the moment you jump onto the battlefield till the moment you almost make it into the evac ship.
My only criticism I have is that one can occasionally find themselves wandering in a barren battlefield due to running in the wrong direction after spawning. This issue will likely diminish as the prevalence of map knowledge increases over time but it can still creep up while many of us are still getting our bearings.
Overall, Titanfall 2 is a game that impresses me directly in the wake up Battlefield 1 which also impressed me in a big way. It's the Titanfall title that finally does the series justice. I eagerly await to see what new content is coming in future DLC and, eventually, in the inevitable sequel.

To Summarize, I believe Titanfall 2 to be a superior successor to the original in almost every way. Some things are different that may make some people feel it wasn't broke so why fix it - but in terms of keeping me excited to be playing for the long haul, I think Respawn nailed it!

I found the original Titans to be so modular I quickly settled on a "best loadout" for me, Strider with 40mm burst fire, cluster bombs, and particle shield wall. No matter the map this never changed, the other Titan options were wasted on me. With TF2 each Titan seems to have a roll, so I pick my Titan based on map and enemy Titan types. I default to Tone most often I find, likely due to its similarity to my original, but I almost just as often switch things around depending on the match.

The pilots are nicely varied. I find the grapple and phase powers to both be very rewarding to the imaginative pilot, and feel none of the powers are throw away. For guns, I can find at least one in each class I feel intuitive with, and while I'm not a big CoD player I feel the weapon selection is ample (but if you do play BF or CoD you might disagree).

My problems with the game steer more to the game types. Attrition appears to be the only mode I can consistently have fun with. Mixing with Adds while hunting pilots and facing off against Titans is a blast. The different Specters and larger Reapers are a great addition. Most other modes don't offer enough Titan time - they end up being just pilots vs pilots for most of the match. And Last Titan Standing, I went in with a team of 4 friends but somehow we can't win a single game. Legions appear to be biased for this game type. However these are the kinds of things I can see Respawn fixing after some feedback and balancing so it's a minor concern for the short term.

Originally I hated the lack of shields and the addition of batteries in the tech test. It didn't make sense and my Titans would die really quick. But with the full game I find there is a very enjoyable ballet between engaging or surviving, coordinating with other Titans or attacking solo. Playing with a friend often times means teaming up, one in Titan, the other harassing enemy Titans, stealing batteries, and keeping my partner at peak efficiency. It is a much more complicated play style that I expect will keep me from getting board of the more basic strategy of the original for much longer. A few times I try to maximize Titan longevity at the cost of points and find it easy possible to spend the entire match in a single Titan. Sure you won't be on the front lines racking up all the kills but give me a Tone and a map that isn't valley warfare and I can stay pretty safe if that's what I want to do.

I really hope more people pick up a copy by Christmas. It's a really great game that I think will only get better from a larger pool of pilots. And all future maps and DLC included? $60 was a very simple decision for me to make. No regrets!

I made an account just to show this game some love. It's really a 9-9.5 but a current user score of 7.9 just ain't right and I wanna push the average higher.

The last time I was this addicted to a multiplayer FPS was Counter-Strike 1.6. It's really a damn shame it was released between Battlefield 1 and COD:IW (and without any marketing on top of that) as most will gloss over it.

    Pros:
    - Tight as f**k and fast gameplay; the shooting feels great and satisfying, mech battles are awesome and traversing the environment with the parkour wallrunning movement rocks
    - Truly imaginative single player campaign
    - Brand new multiplayer modes

    Cons:
    - While the campaign is great, it's sadly over way too quickly
    - I wish some MP modes included death count stats, like Bounty for example
    - Could do with more MP maps but all future DLC will be free so we can expect more later
    - MP currently doesn't have stat tracking but it will be patched in

Try out this game. Personally I think it blows BF1 out of the water and is far more fun to play. I'm not expecting much from the new COD after the beta. Meanwhile I can spend the entire day playing TF2; it's just that much fun. I urge you to try it out. This game absolutely rocks and is ridiculously fun. Bravo Respawn!

One of the best SP campaigns in a long time. You, as a pilot, get to go to some exotic landscapes that no other game has offered quite like TItanfall 2. Then you get to hop into your Buddy Titan (BT) and mow throw grunts and destroy each member of the Apex Predators, as the pilot their own titans. Each battle is played out in a unique boss fight. CoD always had interesting gun play and weapon innovation with plenty of progression/customization...but the movement has always felt stultified to me.....narrow and clunky. TF2, on the other hand is an absolute liquid-fire breathing dragon. The SP is certainly cool, but to me is really just a primer for the MP which is absolutely packed with constant energy and intensity. The movement is hard to describe....somehow it just feels right. The titan brawls are absolute gorgeous mayhem. I confess, I rarely know what I'm doing during these bashes, but just being part of the mix with the occasional titan kill is exhilarating. The game modes are all fun, but Bounty Hunt is my absolute favorite. There are so many dynamic elements which interact with one another without being messy or confusing....it adds an element of dynamism the amplifies the excitement even more. Truly ingenious.

For anyone who have wanted something more fluid and more expansive in their "twitch shooter", this is the game you've been waiting for. Get it! Easily one of my favorite shooters of all time

One last thing. In a time were games are moving towards micro transactions and just generally Nickel and diming you for gun skins it's so refreshing to see a game reward you for actually achieving them. I remember in modern warfare 2 when having fall camo on your gun meant something.

Multiplayer: Very very fun. Every mode really works and I hope the servers will be populated for a few more years to come - and hopefully until TF3 arrives. The only thing I dislike a bit is that the pilots v. pilots mode maps are too big for 16 players. If they upped the amount to 20 players or just reduced the map size a bit it would be perfect aswell. - also FREE DLC! Gotta love that.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's very different from the first game mainly cuz it actually has a campaign in it and it's not just multiplayer only.

But I did enjoy the campaign as it was more focused on the relationship between pilot and Titan which I felt was really needed. How Cooper and BT was working together through this whole game was inspiring. Course some levels seem predictable and very cliched then again there was some parts that kept me guessing. I really like the level where you kept going through Rifts in time. I have a really fun switching back and forth. Like past time control games really need something like that. Also, it did a better job of telling the story than the first game did. Of course that would have been hard seeing that it was just being played in the background while you were in the middle of the multiplayer.

Speaking of the multiplayer, I was having trouble with it at first but I think it's because I've been playing a lot of OverWatch and and not enough Call of Duty lately. I need to get back into the element of the modern shooter. And sometimes it's good and sometimes it's frustrating being killed out of nowhere. It was just too used to the run-and-gun type style of playing when I'm more of a stay and defend type guy.

All in all, I enjoy playing this and would recommend it to anyone who like Shooters as well as giant robots.

The graphics and refresh rate a amazingly optimized. No lag what so ever. The singleplayer story is funny, touching and a bit predictable, but it's not about the end, its about how you get there in Titanfall 2.

The multiplayer is also refreshing after BO3 and IW with their whole pay to win thing (and paid DLCs), its nice to see that someone knows what the players want. Weapons are cool, the boosts are cool, love that grappling hook.

My review is based on campaign alone. However, I watched gameplay videos of the MP and it looks like something I would be addicted to. So if you are looking for awesome multiplayer experience just watch a few games online and decide. I prefer it over all of the recent call of duties because of the skill based movement, the game-changing factor of Titans, etc.

    As far as campaign goes:

+Gameplay wise, I have to say it's probably the most fun I've had in an FPS. Yes, even more so than Doom 2016, although they play completely differently. Pilot movement is fun and fluid, gunplay is tight if not a bit generic, level design ranges from simple to spectacular. Titan battles are really fun and Titan designs are awesome.
+Graphics, the indoor environments are nothing too special but the planet Typhon portrayed in Mission 1 is gorgeous.
+For trophy hunters this is one is probably very easy.
    -Too short.
-The writing isn't spectacular, very average. BT is cool though.

This is a very quality game released at a bad time of the year.

The game shows off anew style of game with the involvement of mech's known as Titans. The first Titanfall was praised of being something fresh and new with the other shooters being more grounded and predictable in its gameplay. The problem with the first Titanfall was that it only featured Multiplayer with very few content that wasn't enough to make it 60 dollars worth and with the lifespan of only lasting a few months, it was very surprising to see that the game got a sequel. So does it measure up to even better than its predecessor or does it fall flat under with the other grounded shooters?

Developers Respawn Entertainment as gotten a lot of backlash with the consumers about not having enough in the first Titanfall and one of them was that the game lacked a campaign mode. They have now addressed that and have added a campaign in Titanfall 2. From what I have played, the campaign is very good if not being very cliche on its story. I played as a Pilot name Jack Cooper whose job is to stop an evil cooperation from developing a weapon that can destroy planets. It sounds really basic with the good vs evil kind of thing, but what makes the campaign story fun to play through was the companion I got at the beginning. The companion was named BT-7274 or BT for short. He is a Titan that is linked to Jack Cooper in which gave a battle advantage in a lot of scenarios. Throughout the campaign, the relationship between BT and Jack was written out well with given dialogue between the two and funny skits that was amusing which gave character to mechanical titan as he gives unusual literally responses that doesn't help the given situation or him trying to give Jack a thumbs up.

Given that, the gameplay of the game is astonishing. The game is a shooter but the spin of the whole game is that the player is given to free maneuver around. To jumping over 40 ft in the air from running on walls as the player is shooting at Titans or pilots, the game is endless on its scenarios. From my playthrough, I was able to use a variety of weapons from Sub-machine guns to Auto-Pistols with the given setting of the world as each gun sound is impacting and astounding to listen to. The sound of the game is very well done as Titans clash against each other with the metals grazing or when a Titan punches on a Pilot, the pilot just burst into red mist.

The only problem I had with the game was that even though the campaign was really refreshing to play, the story was too predictable and tameness as nothing in the story was climatic, given the amazing set pieces of the game. The villain's in the weren't fleshed out as well with one popping up after another. I don't really even know their end game since the ones I fought were mercenaries for hire. I wished the story was given more thought and the world was told better to help the player be more involved in the world.

The game has a few flaws that would've made it even better but I am very happy of what I got. Titanfall 2 is an outstanding game with newly fresh gameplay and beautiful scenery. I say that it is a buy for anyone who wants a shooter or something different from the usual modern warfare.

I was a dedicated Destiny player for 2 years, I bought and enjoy Battlefield 1, but if you only buy one FPS for the PS4, buy Titanfall 2, it's in a league of it's own. The gameplay mechanics are what set it apart and how a game feels is in my view the most important aspect of a shooter. The game has been compared to COD but I think that's a mistake, it really feels and plays nothing like it. To me it has more in common with Quake (super fast smooth arena shooter) with Titans adding the element of the old Armored Core games. Respawn may not have spent nearly as much as their competitors advertising this game, but rest assured that those saving were invested where it counts- in making the game. With the exception of MGSV (huge Kojima fan here) this is in my view the best game for the PS4. Buy it. Expand

If Metacritic offered in-between scores, I'd rate this higher (I just can't give it a 10 without being disingenuous).

I loved the TF1, and TF2 has just as much polish, care and detail put into it as the first. If you enjoy fast-paced PVP, you should really pick this up. Not only that, Respawn is a great team (which is evident throughout the MP and fantastic Single-player campaign)

60 fps locked on a console game with the pacing and combat flow similar to doom 2016? sign me up! campaign (although short) is fantastically paced even if it was a predictable plot. multiplayer is even faster paced combat combined with movement options that feel fluid and natural. solid game worthy of your time.

The best game I played in years. Respawn fixed all things that annoyed me on the first title, also they didn't add some sh*t from Call of Duty or Battlefield titles. Furthermore no season pass and free life time support for such a game a a huge plus.

Really enjoyable. The pacing is perfect, the campaign is textbook sci-fi, but they did everything just right that it's a really fun campaign. Multiplayer is fun, the unlock/progression system seems well thought out allowing you to both progress without being wrecked by higher ranked players.
No season pass/microtransactions/paid DLC is a glorious bonus too!

This is everything that Titanfall 1 wanted to be and more.

The best way to describe the gameplay in Titanfall 2 is fluid and precise.

Far from the footnote it could have been, Titanfall 2 is a huge, headline shock. In a standout year for the shooter, this interstellar adventure dares to go big and beyond the familiar. What it finds out on the frontier is worth seeing. [January 2016, p74]

The core Titanfall moveset is a joy, and it has been thoughtfully expanded with a delightful grappling hook. [Jan 2017, p.112]
