Geralt's last hurrah is a pleasure to experience; a fitting end to a stunning achievement.

In times of knickknack DLC and overpriced mappacks Blood & Wine succeeds all expectations. This is nothing but the most complete add-on experience I have ever played. This doesn’t feel like artificially held back and “added”, but like matured and grown. Mechanically and dramatically a beautiful addition respectively continuation of an already rich RPG.

Geralt goes out on a high note. Developer CD Projekt Red, once again, raises the bar for every other company making an expansion pack.

This is how you create DLC worth buying. Absolutely brilliant.

Complete with its own twisting narrative, branching mission paths and endings, unique enemy types and – it has to be said again – GORGEOUS landscape, Toussaint is a fitting capping point for the amazing journey that this game has been.

Blood and Wine is gigantic; it might be the biggest expansion on a single-player game ever. This is not just huge in square metres, CD Projekt Red put so much effort into this DLC, it almost feels like totally new The Witcher game. Amazing.

Blood and Wine has been said to be the last pursuit for Geralt of Rivia for the foreseeable future according to CD Projekt Red. If that’s really true and we’re done with Witcher for a while, then Blood and Wine is most certainly the way to put this franchise to rest once and for all.

Blood and Wine, The Witcher 3’s final piece of DLC, could not have given such a remarkable game a more fitting send off. With a beautiful new world to explore, Toussaint is brimming with hours of content, stories, monsters to slay, great characters and a whole new bloody Gwent faction.

Great storytelling. Amazing environments. Nice additions to the gameplay. Few glitches and dull side-quests.

Blood and Wine is an example of an expansion that takes advantage of providing top-notch new content. The whole expansion is an adrenaline rush, reminding me of the intense pacing of Wild Hunt's final act. It also has plenty nods to Geralt and his friends that longtime fans are sure to enjoy. You never know when a past character may make an appearance or be mentioned. The world has so much depth and excitement; Blood and Wine is a great way to spend your last days as Geralt.

Blood & Wine is the perfect closure to a perfect game. A humongous DLC, with an absorbent plot and many, many things that you will want to do. Get involved with the Wolf's last adventure, but do it with enough spare time, since you will be playing non stop for many hours. I swear upon the heron.

Blood & Wine is how any and all expansion packs should be. Modest price, high quality, great variety, long duration and full of improvements to the gameplay and UI. Sure, there are some issues here and there, but they don’t stop it from being a strong ending to the story and adventures of Geralt.
  17. The Witcher III: Wild Hunt – Blood & Wine is a bargain by any standard. In fact, you’re almost better off thinking of it as a small sequel than just an expansion pack, so broad, multifaceted, and rewarding is the experience it delivers.

For those following the Witcher over the years in the gaming world, it’s a bit of a sad note to see that Geralt will no longer be the focus in future games set in the universe. Who even knows when or if we get another Witcher game, but at the same time it’s fitting to see just how well Witcher 3 and it’s expansions come together to not only offer great improvements and new adventures, but to really put a great and final end cap to a great character and an amazing world.

Blood and Wine feels like it was made as a loving goodbye to both Geralt and the Witcher series in general, as there’s so much attention to detail that it’s impossible not to regularly be in awe of it all. It’s the perfect bow on a game that has been nothing short of a gift that keeps on giving, and I expect it will continuing doing just that for all who fancy an adventure with a certain Witcher.

Our review of Hearts of Stone mentioned that it was a shining example of how to create meaningful downloadable content, and yet Blood and Wine manages to top it in nearly every way imaginable.

In a time where an expansion pack is regularly nothing more than a new map or a couple of character gadgets, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Blood and Wine brings us something hearty and filling enough to prove that there's hope for DLC yet. Geralt's adventure in stunning Toussaint is an absolute triumph.

Although Toussaint may not be that different from the familiar surroundings of The Witcher 3, Blood & Wine has a lot to offer.

Blood and Wine isn't going to change anyone's mind about Wild Hunt, and that's both a blessing and a curse. The new story content is a bit drab, but it is more adventuring with everyone's favorite monster slayer.

Overall, Blood and Wine is a worthy addition to the Witcher 3 experience. While it may not be perfect, it provides enough wonder, excitement, and adventure to keep the player invested.

Blood and Wine held all the components to make a great final adventure, but failed to truly capitalise on any one of them. If you’re looking for a good final experience to cap off your monster hunting career, go finish Hearts of Stone again – this one’s rather underwhelming.

For players who just want more Witcher, there’s no doubt that Blood And Wine delivers. It has a whole new land to explore, there are tons of things to do, and there’s enough content to keep someone busy for dozens of hours. On the other hand, it felt to me like the entire Witcher experience had already peaked, so following it up with something that’s just not as good leaves things in an awkward place. The last ten minutes are absolutely worth seeing, but the hours that come before it? Maybe not so much.

This is at aBlood and Wine brings everything you anticipated and much more. If you liked Hearts of Stone then you are going to love this. This is at a much larger scale with a new map and the game itself got impressive upgrades. Wild Hunt's interface was my favorite among RPGs. Now it looks and functions even better. The new map of Toussaint is as big as Skellige, full of colors, and minus the annoying contours. I had to stop every two minutes to enjoy the atmosphere. Story seems exciting so far with great new characters and monsters. Scrpt and voice acting are phenomenal as ever. Camera work is more cinematic. If you are a fan of Witcher gear then your mastercrafted items will be getting the Grandmaster upgrade. There are new mutations, Gwent cards, a whole bunch of new and exciting things a Witcher fan may dream of. If you have enjoyed Wild Hunt and Hearts of Stone, you must not miss out on this. It is well worth the price. Full Review »

This game is a masterpiece but the expansion pack is also the best I have ever played in my 20 years of gaming. CD Projekt Red, thank you for reviving my hope in the gaming industry. The only sad part is that once you beat it you realize that this is the end for the witcher adventure. I hope one day CDPR decides to give us Witcher 4 but until then we have to wait for Cyberpunk 2077 first.

As for the expansion for $20 you get a full game, it has everything. Beautiful new music, exceptionally written dialog and the story is intense. A long time character from the books returns and he is stellar. I love this game. Get it now, buy it, support cdpr.

At the end of the game they give a thank you note to the gamers, that also deserves a shed tear. They are like developers in the 90s that actually cared to create art and cared about their fan base. This expansion is GOTY.
