    The first game was about relationship between Ellie and Joel , and the ending where Joel saves Ellie shows that he decided to save live instead of killing her for unsuccessful try to return the world to its pre apocalypse condition . And the second part just killing this relationship . And i know what ND wanted to say in the ending but it just doesnt work because if you killed all people who helped to kill you friend , but dont kill the person who did it because you friend didnt want you to do it , this is very strange and makes no sense .    … Expand

    Story is terrible, gameplay and graphics look amazing. But there is a new character who isnt interesting at all and the game makes you hate her even more, you'll see why, I recommend waiting for a price drop.

I’m not going to slam the game completely and say the whole game was a let down because I thought the graphics were great and the gameplay is decent however the story is horrendous at best. They completely discredit everything this community loved about the first game and completely destroy the legacy and image of the first game. This game took an awful turn within the first 3 hours and after this huge slap in the face of an event happened the game continues to disgrace and spit in the face of all fans by making the characters we love and built such a bond with in the first game appear to be the “bad guys” of this game. And as if that’s not enough you got to play as a character that everyone who plays the game that was a fan of the first game despises for over 7 hours and you are forced to sit through a force feeding of an attempt to sympathize with the worst character in the game. This game tries so hard to suck up to those who play the victim in today’s society so hard just to be a good guy that it completely misses the mark and disrespected all the fans and players that have got this company where they are in the gaming industry and it’s pathetic truly. I’ve never been so disappointed in a game in my life. How can you treat your fans and community that put you on top this poorly and deliver something this pitiful. Don’t even get me started on the bugs and glitches. You know a game is bad when it bugs this much and nobody talks about it because of the plot holes and the lack of any actual intuitive and realistic storylines. The amount of hypocritical storytelling and contradictions with character traits and decisions is ridiculous and if anyone wants to try to say this isn’t reason enough to dislike the game I got many more reasons too.… Expand

    Un juego muy bonito gráficamente y en sus animaciones, pero el cual flojea en su historia, la cual no es la "mierda" que la mayoría de usuarios reporta, si no que es una historia interesante pero con un inicio y final no muy aceptados por el público, en mi opinión, es un juego muy recomendable pero no es ni obra maestra ni la mierda que muchos reportan

If you're a true The Last of Us fan then you already know that you don't want this to happen to your beloved characters.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. My Thoughts After Completing the Game 30 Minutes Ago: Wow...just wow, i literally just finished the game i'm struggling to form an opinion, my brain **** fried!

    This game just makes you feel bad bad, bad and when you finally start feeling a bit better, it kills or cripples one of the few remaining character you care about and for what, a message? I have no idea what this game was trying to say...maybe i'm just stupid or i need someone to explain the whole point of the game to me, because apparently the game didn't do a very good job.

    Gameplay: like the first game but slightly better stealth and movement, not gonna rave about it, it works. Enemies reactions are really really fast, and they'll kinda stunlock you if you get caught out in the open, it can get annoying but luckily you can just run past 75% of encounters (not that i did, but it's possible) with almost no issue on hard so...why bother? Kinda boring at times too...

    WARNING!!!: If you care AT ALL about any of the characters in the first game, (especially Joel) or even just wanna be able to play the first game without havin' to taste the teaspoon of piss that is, the memory of this game, just please give it a miss...for your own sake    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First off; they took characters we learned to love and respect, and kill them off like it was The Walking Dead. They take Ellie and paint her as a villain for trying to avenge the death of a man who was basically her father. They make the fact that Joel saved her a bad thing, which makes her hate him to an extent. They make Joel have an uneventful and dry death that even makes us want to mourn for him as he didnt deserve it at all. The writing is dry, the characters are shells of what we knew them to be. The fact that they took Ellie from a happy bounding 14 year old to a mean, awkward 18 year old just sucks. They made a bad ending where Ellie loses basically everything and doesnt even get the revenge that she deserved. They made every last scene of Joel and Ellie, the two who went across the country, bonding along the way. They make the whole fact that Ellie basically had her father die, a bad thing. They make you also play a second character who is literally evil, and yet she lives on with a child she bonded to. All Ellie gets is PTSD, a lost love and child, and two missing fingers.
    All in all:
    They ruin the characters we love, mostly Joel as he gets isolated from Ellie as she turns away from him. They make you sad during the whole thing as it is just bad people everywhere that you don't like.
    They spit on Joel's image and what he did in the first game, ruining everything the first game made to build up.
    Same with Ellie as she gets painted as some bad guy who is a killing machine with no limit.    … Expand

    Esse jogo é espetacular no quesito áudio-visual e gameplay, realemente uma enorme evolução se comparar com o antecessor, algo realmente digno de fim de geração, porem o que realmente transformou The Last of Us em um jogo incrível e amado por praticamente todos que jogaram não foram os gráficos, foi principalmente a historia e o enredo, algo que não aconteceu nessa continuação.     Naughty Dog has done it again. The first game made me feel such intense emotion. This one does so even more. Incredible, brutal, heartwrenching. There were so many things this game made me feel that no other ever has. Every bit as good as the first, on my second playthrough now. I won't be done with this game for a long time to come!

Yes, he was a beloved character and still has a near & dear spot in my gaming heart, but he really deserved his death. Ever since the end of the first one when he lied to Ellie, I knew it was coming. He became the villain & set it all in place. What they did with this game was impressive on all fronts, from the story & characters to the upgraded and elevated graphics & gameplay from the first game (which everybody loved but somehow complain about now with the 2nd when it’s literally the same execution, twice as refined with more versatility & options in combat.) The next lie is that Abby is Transexual. No. She’s a straight women who trains extensively in the gym to get a warriors physique in the sick world she lives in. You boys just aren’t grown enough to enjoy female characters you aren’t attracted to. All In all. The hate this game receives is **** criminal and I highly suggest getting the upgrade for it on PS5. Engaging, thought & emotion provoking, grotesque experience worth playing through. 10 out of 10.… Expand

    Like on last of us 1 the graphics, movements and music are great.
    They did a awesome job on climbing and laying down.

    The negative part (including spoilers):
    - Ellie and the other girl smoking weed.
    - Not only adults are going to play this game, there will be under aged people too, so its like an
    advertisement for them to start smoking. And even if its not the case, its a story based zombie
    game, there is no space for weed.

    - Joel dies
    - Why would you let the coolest daddy figure we ever saw in our game history die. Top of that we have
    to play a character that kills him later. huge disappointment.

    Whoever wrote this storyline should never ever write a story for a top game.

This game has awful characters with no personalities. Just bland shells acting like humans. The story also misleads the consumer and makes you play as Joel’s killer for half the game. Yeah. Joel you know the character that made the last of us what it is? He dies. In the first. 2 hours. Abby the killer who you play as, is an annoying character who we are trying to feel sympathy for but doesn’t work. And her friends that you kill as Ellie are so unlike able and void of personalities that you don’t mind killing them. And the worst part of all is that at the end of the game you let Abby free as Ellie! What?! Most unsatisfying story I’ve ever seen. When the game ended I deleted it off of my ps4. Fire Druckmann and hire Amy back Naughty Dog. Your company is going down the drain.… Expand

Nothing else about this game is alluring. The gameplay is not exactly thrilling, it's your standard over the shoulder shooter, just as it was the case with the first game, a formula we've seen thousands of times already, that doesn't add anything new and that many games previous to this one have already done better. No, gameplay isn't the reason why The Last of Us became popular to begin with, it's the story... And there's where the problem starts:
    It's like a cheap satire, the amount of plot holes, questionable writing choices and overall silliness of it all hurts me, because this game had such a great predecessor in that department and it FAILS to deliver, horribly so. There's barely any character development for the cast, and if there is, it's for the worst. Joel's hurt badly in this regard, it won't explain much, but if you were a fan of him, you'll be very disappointed. The fact that ND falsely advertized the game by showing us footage of Joel in the trailers, and then having him replaced by another character in the actual game cutscenes, is the most insulting part of it all. There's some other questionable things like that disgusting sex scene which had no point or place to begin with.

    Overall a terrible successor and both the nail and the coffin to the franchise, if you were to ask me, The Last of Us never had a sequel. Save your money.    … Expand

    I completed the first part about 25 times on different difficulties, on different consoles, also knocked out platinum and it is very sad to see such an assessment in the second part. Now I'm waiting for a discount on the second one to enjoy the masterpiece, once again. Good luck to the best developers in future endeavors!

    Extremely disappointed. I did in fact, albeit painfully finish the game and here are my thoughts. It’s beautiful, and the naughty dog engine in its current form is absolutely a technical achievement. It runs great and I love everything about the graphics and physics.
    I love the fact that following a line is not an option, the game is very encouraging to get your to explore.

    The story is okay for about 30 minutes and then it just completely goes to **** Whoever wrote this garbage needs to be replaced because it is honestly what ruined this from being a true 10/10. They threw away basically all of the original story and took a hard left. I mean that politically as well. I’m bi so of course I support LGBT representation but this was horribly done and if anything made it worse. Having played this, I’m going to pretend it never happened and wait to buy naughty dog productions after they come out. Still pretty game tho...shame.    … Expand

    Lets begin with graphics and gameplay, its totaly awsome the graphics is cool and physics pf some small parts just wonders!

    But the storyline is awful, because ot just does not make sense in some important parts, like when Joel dies in the begging of the game and Ellie wants revenge but when she kills everyone on her way but does not kill the person that killed Joel. In the nd she looses everything and does not get revenge. If you dont want to completely loose love to this game please dont play it!    … Expand

    The world, combat are very good and the game is a technical masterpiece, but the story is garbage and the characters dialogue just sounds like they're trying to collect a pay check. Also as an avid man of firearms i have to ask who the hell supplied this games knowledge of how firearms function.

    Very poor story and writing. Gameplay is good for the most part. Excluding open world sequences with nothing to collect or explore. Graphics are good. Thats all the good. It absolutely boggles the mind how they thought this was a well written story. I'd be embarassed if I wrote this story.

    The team that crafted this game did such an amazing job, with regards to what it delivers visually. The graphics deliver a punch, that make it a pleasure to play, even though many of the systems seem to have not progressed much beyond the original. However, without an equally amazing story to reflect that of the original, these are left feeling hollow.     The writing in this game is soul-crushing... To witness my long-awaited years for this sequel and love for these characters tossed into a furnace before my very eyes.
    The disregard for the characters that Neil Druckmann had while writing this game is appalling and shows how out of touch he has become with who the characters are and why the fanbase made such strong connections with them. As always, the graphics and the animations are amazing, although the same old gameplay is here with little improvements, and the same BUTTON MASHING to get the next section of the level is still there. But although these issues were in the first game, they were largely ignored for the strength of the story.
    With this sequel however, you have all the annoyances in gameplay from The Last of Us 1, BUT WITH THE WORST PLOT YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE.

    The logic behind Ellies actions make NO sense, the disregard for beloved characters is insulting, the way the game FORCES you to play a character that the fanbase would loath makes me think the Devs were smoking something when writing it.

    I am so upset that this game ended up like this, Neil needs to hang it up and go back to punching 0's and 1's into a computer....    … Expand

    Characters are way not what they are supposed to be, suddenly stupid, the story is broken and sacrificed to something weird. I understand the gaming violence and concept of explanation of "violence is not the answer" through the violence, but this game is just stupid and gross for no reason. RIP.

    Oyun güzel lakin... Benim için ne 95 puanlık, ne 3.4lük oyun ama hikayesi olmamış... İlk oyunu tek oturuşta bitirdim ama bu oyun olmamış TLOU P1 bizi hikayeden almıştı Ellie ilişkimiz falandı ama bu oyun kötü olmuş.
    Grafik ve oynanış çok iyi ama hikâyesi vasat.. Kaliteli hikaye beklerdim...

    Nos vendieron una historia de venganza en los trailers para que al final se hechen para atras como si todo lo jugada no tuviera carga alguna en la trama...
    No tengo problema con la inclusión, pero la presencia de Abby y el personaje como tal se siente mediocremente argumentada y muy forzada cual si fuera un Fanfic, curiosamente tanto la protagonista como la antagonista tienes distintas preferencias sexuales.
    Ademas de escenas eróticas que no dejan nada a la imaginación, nuevamente forzandolo en la historia... (Qué coño pensaron en poner una escena de un hombre y un transgénero teniendo sexo anal?)
    Empezando, el incio...
    Las situaciones no se sienten naturales, sino muy convenientes para la trama (nuevamente forzadas), llevandonos al climax que es la muerte de Joel, tan absurda (por el simple hecho de que profundizaste y desarrollaste tanto al personaje para que lo termines matando como a un simple personaje secundario) como triste...
    Desarrollo...
    Al juego se lo siente con objetivo, hay solo desarrollo en el objetivo de Ellie que es vengar a Joel
    Terminando, el final...
    Resalto que mucha gente defenderá la muerte de Joel diciendo " es una muerte realista"... Pero hombre, si te vas a poner realiste hazlo de lleno y no hagas bajar a Abby para que luche cuerpo a cuerpo con Ellie en lugar de que esta la torture o simplemente le dispare en medio de los ojos (Nuevamente conveniente para la trama), me montas tremenda pelea, tremendo genocidio durante el desarrollo del juego, para que al final Ellie se heche para atrás solo por un insignificante flashback ¿Es en serio? Despues de matar a mucha gente dejas huir a la verdadera culpable (vaya obra de realismo, en que perra mundo viven?) que para rematar te arranca un dedo con su boca jajaja, no sé ustedes, hasta a la persona más noble la hubieran corrompido con toda esa serie de sucesos mostrados en el juego...

    Graphics were outstanding. You can tell it really pushes the PS4 to it's limits. However, as you can see from other reviews the story in a few key parts don't seem to make sense. I can't say i enjoyed it, but I didn't hate it either.

    This game should be a criminal offense because they actually murdered a franchise with trash key story parts that made ZERO sense. Dumbing down characters to the point where it gets insulting. Imagine killing one of the most loved characters in the last 10 years of gaming in the stupidest possible way and then FORCING you to play the killer. Sick idea Devs.

    Unreal, just unreal.

    Graphics are good, but it's 2020. Every half decent graphics engine can do something like this. Good graphics will not save the rating in an obviously story driven game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Hubris. It's hubris really. ND and especially Neil Druckmann and his writers dropped the ball on this one. The game is a technical masterpiece, graphics and gameplay are phenomenal. However the story is messy, and crumbles under the weight of the aforementioned hubris. ND genuinely expects you to see this story from all sides, even sympathise with Abby and her her motives for revenge.
    Oh, and Abby just happens to find the one person in the world she's looking for while being chased by a horde of infected and then just so happens to convince Joel and Tommy to come back to her site where she has people. As if survivors like Joel or Tommy would ever trust random woman with a gun to take them back to a group of strangers.
    Again, it's hubris. ND's unrestricted ego has really hurt this games potential because it must be said from a technical standpoint it's a masterpiece. These 0 ratings need to be removed because its obviously not from people who have played the game and just want to trash it. Narratively, this was a dud, it happens. Every game company misses the mark sometimes it just hurts that much more when one as talented as ND does it. I loved Joel's character, I loved his motives and his personal redemptive arc. His closure and new parental relationship with this girl called Ellie who saved him as much as he did her.
    TLOU2 feels like it tries to undermine what Joel did in one and almost paint him as a villain, completely ignoring at every turn that the fireflies were going to murder a teenage girl just for hope at a cure. That price was to high for Joel because he'd already lost one daughter, he couldn't lose another and did what any parent would. He saved her.
    There is definitely an SJW agenda in this game (mostly female characters in the forefront) and this is purely down to Neil Druckmann and his SJW liberal views as well as his affiliation with the human trashcan that is Anita Sarkesian. Honestly, if I were ND I'd look at getting a new director in for the next IP.    … Expand

Had High hopes for the last of us 2, I really don't understand how critics can play this game and think to themselves this is a 10 out of 10 story. It's like they were in awe by graphics and didn't see any of the plot holes or that there was ZERO character growth in this game. For instance, the bond between Ellie and Joel progresses throughout the first game in many tense situations, but there is no character development in this story. its just a revenge story after revenge story. When your characters don't grow what is the point of sitting through 25 hours. Yes, it's gritty but how does that make a good game when there is no point to the grit. Like if Ellie is going to just let Abby getaway what is the point of killing all these people through the entire game. Why does your conscience decide to kick in after nearly dying and getting 2 fingers bitten off? I really don't know how you can say the gameplay was interesting either if anything they took out puzzles and looking for ladders so all you end up doing is rushing through ai just to get to the next story section why are the ai so badly programmed that I can rush through without having to kill but one or two mobs you think 7 years of making they would realize it was an issue… Expand

    If the goal was to teach me that revenge is bad it failed. I just feel like revenge was actually stolen from the player and from Ellie. In hindsight maybe the choice should have been up to the user and you could have had Ellie look back on the destruction she caused getting revenge with the emptiness still in her life from those she lost.     El gran problema es la manera en la que nos cuentan la historia, que es por lo que se suele comprar el juego, y en mi caso, aunque no lo he llegado a comprar por muchas razones, si tuviera que puntuar diferentes aspectos del juego, serían los siguientes:

    - Historia: 3/10. Por favor, qué cambien al guionista de Abby. Es un personaje que aunque su intención no sea mala del todo, si no hubiera sabido que hizo que se enfadase, prácticamente ni la reconocería. - Gráficos: 8/10. Desde luego, se ve bastante mejor que el primer juego, y se nota el salto gráfico de un juego al otro. La iluminación, el ambiente...
    - Jugabilidad: 9/10. Hay cosas que si que se podrían mejorar en el juego, pero aún así, bastante buena jugabilidad. Y eso de qué haya bastante por ver, abre bastantes posibilidades, ya que es prácticamente un mundo en el que puedes ir directamente al camino principal, o ir poco a poco, mirando otros edificios. Y lo de poder romper vitrinas, y cristales para recoger cosas de los coches, una maravilla. RECOMENDACIÓN PARA UNA TERCERA PARTE: Por so leéis esta crítica, que lo dudo, estaría bastante bien que si encuentras comida, pero tienes la barra de salud llena, que se pudiera guardar en tu mochila, para poder tomarlo más tarde, algo así como un botiquín, pero sería comida.    … Expand
