    So I waited several months to play this game so that I can come to it with an open mind (forgetting all the hype and negativity). I've got to honestly say that the game is boring. I can see that the director is trying to get a rise out of me from to turns in the story but it just doesn't work for me. I really don't care about anyone in the story. There is just too many gaps in the action, too many oddly place flashbacks, ~and too little of time spent on the other characters that I just lose interest. It was a chore to finish with absolutely no gratification. It's a laughable ending making me feel like I just wasted a significant amount of my time. Was is fun? No. Was it worth the price? No. Did it leave a lasting impression? No. The (stupid) story is a 3. the (boring) gameplay is a 5. The (tight) controls is a 9 (the only thing I liked).… Expand

    First of all, ignore the review bombers. TLOU2 is a great game and it is nearly in every aspect better than its predecessor. There's lot of hate towards Abby but I must say I enjoyed playing for her even more than playing for Ellie.

    The visuals and audio are great, game mechanics slightly improved (even though still sometimes frustrating). There are plenty of breathtaking, memorable    First of all, ignore the review bombers. TLOU2 is a great game and it is nearly in every aspect better than its predecessor. There are plenty of breathtaking, memorable moments, the game is soaked with atmosphere. Where TLOU was slightly hopeful, TLOU2 is gritty, dark and unforgiving. Yes, the game is brutal and naturalistic, which is good because violence should be shown for what it is, it shouldn't be polished.

    I got a PS5 back then for some nice exclusives and didn't want do touch TLOU2 but i did cause i wanted to try it and what should I say...
    The Gameplay is good, very realistic animations but this is not a truly next gen Game.
    It was developed for PS4 and a little PS5 patch does not bring me the experience i wanted or I was waiting for.
    The Graphic is good but not more. I really don't know why they had to release this game on PS4 and not PS5 only. Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart was a good example, only PS5 and is a truly next gen Game! Very good looking and good optimized.

    The Story from Part II is very bad... I don't know who thought this would be good but I'm very disappointed.

    After playing this game twice, watching all cutscenes & seeing how good the story was, i had realized that i had played a masterpiece.
    No, tlou 2 is not against homosexualism
    Ellie was lesbian since the first game, lol.
    Yes, joel's death was neccesary to provide ellie a purpose to kill abby.
    Abby's story was quite well for me.
    Good Game, misunderstood & good story.

    Masterpiece. Story, gameplay, sound design, attention to detail is out of this world. I have loved every second of this game. To me it is an emotional rollercoaster with a lot of epic action. It never gets repetitive and every fight feels unique. Touches on topics like what it means to be good/bad and what happens when you fight for survival of the ones you love.

    Thank you, Naughty Dog! Beautiful game, strong story and the final of the journey. And thanks again for Part I, without arguable ending of it, we've never get such a stunning sequel.

    The best game I've ever played so far the the characters just feel real they r alive this game literally broke my heart the story is something else the compat is so real it feels like playing a movie it's on a higher level than other games they nailed it

Not only is the message and clear bias in this game stupid, but the idea that there should be any video games politically driven is insane. Most importantly, it saps dry all the possibility for creativity and quality in these big titles, films as well. Compared to the first TLOU, its almost an insult that we got this: "fanfiction with huge budget turned into game" as aIts a beautiful game top tier graphics, the gameplay mechanics are great, 2 things that ND knows how to do perfectly, however... being a singleplayer focused game... the story was disappointing, the characters were easily forgettable and there were several inconsistencies.     Игра проходится в среднем за 30часов, и по началу игры вы будете приятно удивлены, НО(это самое НО будет очень часто звучать в моем обзоре) есть локация "Сиетл" она довольно большая по меркам TLOU, вы имеете небольшие истории и квесты, НО это локации встречается 1 раз за игру, хотя можно было сделать их 2-3 штуки как нефиг делать.
    Вы играете за Элли, это девочка с 1 части игры, которую Джоел (гг 1 части) сопровождал по игре и тем самым вы к ней привязывались, и первую половины игры вы играете за Эльку, и думаете вот это круто, вас переполняют эмоции от крутых локаций, постановок и в целом от игры вы кайфуете,НО 2 часть игры вы играете за Эбби (это 2 гг игры) и вы ходите ровно по тем же локациям,но при этом вам показывают, какую жесть вы творили за Элли, и вы привязываетесь к 2 персам и это очень круто.
    Вы имеете дневник Элли, где она записывает свои мысли касаемо того, что творится в игре и знаете, игра затянута,НО она не показывает довольно интересные истории из дневника Элли, к примеру как она пряталась от орды зараженных, как она прошла до Сиетла и тд, и в конце игры, когда вы отходите от эмоций вы не можете поставить оценку выше 7 баллов этой игре, да она крутая, да красивая, да интересная,НО местами не хватает раскрытия истории, что на мой взгляд не лучшим образом сказывается о финальном мнении об игре, или не хватает больших локаций. Обзор старался делать без спойлеров, что бы не портить впечатление об игре у новых игроков.

    Мой вам совет, ребят игра на 1 раз, ну максимум на 2 раза, мой вам совет берите ее на диске и потом продайте его так вы и игрой насладитесь и денег получите с ее продажи(по крайне мере ценник сейчас на нее хороший в сравнении с PS STORE).    … Expand

Somehow I feel that this game is part 2 and 3 although it's always the same story I got this feeling because of the lenght and the characters that you use. About characters, I miss the teenage Ellie but I guess you can't repeat some things of the previous game. It took me 28 hours to beat looking everywhere for suplies. Is this game better than the first one? They are totally different so it is hard to tell. I'd say both are really good. Although gameplay can feel repetitive if you play 1 and 2 one after the other. My main complaint would be the lenght. I think it should have last 18-20 hours although, as I said, it feels like 2 games. Also, I would have loved to see one pretty female character (I mean, even Ellie looks too real and not as pretty as she should be). Overall, yes it is a must have game but please play the first part before getting into this one. Both are really worthy!… Expand

Me parece un gran juego, tanto las animaciones como la jugabilidad, esas ganas que te da el mismo juego de querer mejorar todas las armas y las habilidades del personaje hace que quieras encontrar cada uno de los ítems necesarios para hacerlo. En cuanto a la trama a mi me gusto, se que muchos esperaban otra cosa, pero creo que el juego al final te enseña que en un mundo como el de the last of us 2 no existen buenos y malos.… Expand

    Dieses Spiel schickt dich auf eine unglaubliche emotionale Reise. Ich habe noch nie bei einem Spiel so sehr miterlebt, wie man hin und her gerissen wird.
    Auch die Idee, den angeblichen Antihelden zu spielen, einfach überragend. Good Job Naughty Dog!

    There are so many glaring plot holes in the story. The gameplay itself is mediocre at best. It feels like a game that was released when it wasn’t ready. Shame.

    As somebody who has played the first game and its DLC: Left Behind:, I was truly excited to hear about a continuation to the story of Joel and Ellie. What I didn't get is a continuation to the story of Joel and Ellie.. No, what we got is a story so poorly constructed what swiss cheese has fewer holes than this game does. The most significant aspect to this game's story happens two wholeAs somebody who has played the first game and its DLC: Left Behind:, I was truly excited to hear about a continuation to the story of Joel and Ellie. What I didn't get is a continuation to the story of Joel and Ellie.. No, what we got is a story so poorly constructed what swiss cheese has fewer holes than this game does. The most significant aspect to this game's story happens two whole hours into the game and is told in this discombobulated way that has you jump from Ellie to Abby a fair few times. The flaw is I have no idea who Abby is nor do I have any reason to care about her.

    Abby exists seemingly just to have a muscle-bound female character in the game. This is so out of place in a world that has fallen 25 years before and her reason to travel 2000 miles is to kill one guy.

    It is so obvious that the only reason she is this way is to be representative of the trans community which is so blatantly forced onto you that the game actually has another character that is trans. I'm all for inclusiveness but there are better ways to be inclusive than this ham-fisted way of storytelling.

    The game looks great but the story is about as fun as watching paint dry in real-time. It is the truest form of revenge porn. You will kill people and dogs in ways that by the time you get to the end you are completely desensitized to violence and so don't care at all.

    Lastly Neil Druckmann has completely butchered the characters that you have loved since 2013. So if you liked the old cast just play the first game.    … Expand

Sand to see one of the best and my personal beloved franchise ruined. My only pro in this game is the ambience , Other than that I just pretend it didn't happen,.

    It has everything you would want in a single player game. The story really stayed with me and when it was over I went and looked over all the cool concept art that I could unlock. The environments are stunning and diverse. I had to stop to appreciate every single new area. The gathering and survival aspect is done very well too.     I do understand why people dont like the Story, but my god...this was the most emotional Story i have ever experienced. The music is so good, the gameplay is so much fun and the enemies are so realistic that even if you dislike the story, the game in itself will blow you away!

Halfway through, you will be forced to play as an irredeemable psychopath for 10+ hours and then the game will basically just end without any satisfaction. Abby is irredeemable and unlivable no matter how you look at it. Just watch a play through. Don’t support Neil or TLOU franchise past the first game. It’s really as bad as everyone says and it has nothing at all to do with the sexuality or gender of the characters. Don’t support this title, please. I can't praise it enough it really tears you apart and you feel Rage, Fear, Empathy, Joy and sadness all throughout this wonderfully crafted storyline.. well done!

    I just love this game.

    It brings sadness, love, hate, anger, empathy and regret right up in your face in a way I have never seen in a video game before, and in few other types of media too.
    I suspect a story told in this way would not have worked as well in other types of media, and that makes it very special.

    But this game was nothing like we have ever see. It was complex storytelling with a successful revenge plot. The game perfectly explains the consequences of actions. The cost of revenge. It was a bold move to put people into Abby's perspective. It explains the concept of "every story has two sides" perfectly.

    After I finish the game. It stuck to me while sitting at home. It was a very powerful game.

Joel is a terrible person and more than deserved what was coming to him. The only problem I had with TLOU2 was that the pacing was really off along with abby's story, you give medicine to this girl but it doesn't matter because she just gets killed anyway. Thankfully i did not because this game is actually trash. I just got to the part where Joel dies and i refuse to finish the game. I can already tell how the game will focus on garbage so wont waste my time. I was very impressed by seeing what happened through the eyes of the main villain, whom we were chasing throughout the whole game, getting to know his friends and family and justifying him. It left me so helpless to agree with both Ellie and Abby. But the finale was great for me. There is nothing to criticize in the gameplay part. All NPCs have a character, name and friends.     Falando de forma técnica, esse jogo está a frente de tudo lançado até agora na geração do PS4, tranquilamente está como um dos meus jogos favoritos. Agora oque me decepcionou bastante, foi o rumo que a história tomou.

In fact, they criticize that things are being done in the game with which they * disagree *, that is, the story is "bad" biased. The second part is much more complicated and therefore more individual. (I will not speak more specifically, so as not to spoil the impression). This year’s most controversial game for me. The most complicated and difficult story in every sense. This is my personal opinion, and I perfectly understand why you can hate it, what to complain about and what to competently criticize, but I loved the game, despite the fact that I also disagree with all the scriptwriter's decisions. In general, these are my personal feelings, Tlou is too individual, so with ease you can find those who do not like the game or even seem boring.     Incredible game it took some balls for naughty dog to go this way with the story but they pulled it off brilliantly!

    It breaks my heart to write this, but I really did not expect such a poor story after all these years of waiting. While there were a few genuinely good moments, majority of game filled up with plot holes. It just took elements of what worked for the first game without understanding what made them compelling.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
