    Yo, the game is in the technical part near to perfection and the story, despite im not loving it as much as the first part, is pretty neat.

    ¡Se pasa de bueno!, despues de leer millones de criticas de taraditos desconfie del juego, pero tuve la oportunidad de jugarlo y debo decir que es de lo mejorcito de 2020, un gameplay increible y una historia envolvente.

    Si no eres un virgen con olor a queso que se queja porque en esta entrega las mujeres tienen mas relevancia lo vas a disfrutar al 100%.

    what a waste of potential...First game was just beautiful. I got all the way to the Abby part, played a good few hours with her and gave it as much goodwill as I could and just nope...the investment in this very particular type of game is far too high to support what becomes a very contrived (and sorry to say creepily wokish), petty story arc in support of palpably unlikable characters.what a waste of potential...First game was just beautiful. Зря только накинулись на нее из-за повесточки, ибо, если рассматривать с точки зрения "повесточки", к примеру"Super Mario", то "Nintendo" вообще сделали игру про братьев наркоманов-педофилов. Я это к тому, что игра Драккмана вовсе не про ЛГБТ, а про то, что не надо никому мстить, а также, про то, что нужно уметь вовремя признавать свои косяки и прощать и отпускать всех, а особенно, свое прошлое.… Expand

    I liked the game for its atmosphere, story, and characters. It was interesting to watch the parallel progression of stories from two points of the narrative. One branch of the story followed the path of revenge, carrying the character down, and the other the other way up. Lively emotions, lively characters. Great cutscenes. I recommend it to everyone.

    Beautiful game ! Phenomenal atmosphere, good story. I don't understand such low ratings, this game doesn't deserve it. I recommend everyone to try it and not follow the opinions of others

    Whoever is giving this a TEN I dont know how you could. This game is way too long and get so repetitive. Some of those Abby missions were so irritating not because its Abby but rather its the repetitiveness of them. You literally do the same stuff with Ellie in similar surroundings. I know why they did it but my god they could have done it a different way. Why not just send us to the crane earlier on then send us to the island instead of all the other crap that we did already with Ellie. Trust me this game is great but its needs a haircut.

    I think I have to mention the story cause this games selling point is the story. Not the zombies, there is plenty of zombie games. Not the gameplay, there's better gameplay in many other games. Its the story. People didnt think ohhhh cant wait to rummage through a load of cabinets in this 40 hour game. No. Its the story. The story gets a passing grade.

    What a pass? How? Well Im glad you asked. Your on a revenge mission with Ellie and thats not interesting to be fair. But the killing of Joel you feel the same as Ellie. You must get after Abby. You must. We must. And as you progress through the game its goes pretty with the odd flashback with Joel in their which reminds you what your fighting for. That man that you've played as, that Ellie was mentored by and was essentially her father. And then when you come out of the flashbacks your back to the reality that Abby took him from us. Your motivated again.

    Now the story takes a dramatic turn at the theater where you play 10 hours of Abby. Huh! Thats just just weird. And you basically just play the game again but as Abby. The story just stops and restarted again. The game just stopped and restarted again. And dont get me wrong there are some great game moments and story moments in there but it belongs in a DLC or as an after game unlock or something like that. Just shoving it in there is jarring. And you play as Abby in the theater going after Ellie. Again weird choice. Maybe make that a choice. You play as Abby or as Ellie. Its a game after all

    Look its a good game but its long. The story is a bit of a mess and the way it was put together was even messier. And yeah Joel dieing sucks but thats not a game breaker for me. There is just no pay off with it. Some characters are inconsistent. Now I heard its full of SJW stuff. Yeah maybe some but thats not the issue here. This game had some ideas where to go but they skipped a few steps and now we have a game with great mechanics but the story is probably still on the second draft while the first game had maybe 13 drafts.

    Seven out of Ten. And I felt horrible playing it.    … Expand

That is what made first game Great was the story and characters (Joel & Ellie) who we watched bond and it all made sense in a great way. This doesn’t.     This game take the courage that many of writters and companies dont have, Naughty Dog and Niel Druckman have the wonderful opportunity to give us a full history, give us the oportunity to watch the events of one history to make our own thinking in who is the hero or who is the villain, or if there are these.
    Its a Must Play !

You essentially play as two villains throughout the game killing hundreds of innocent people all in the name of revenge. Apparently these two women have severe PTSD from watching their fathers die, yet don't blink an eye when the brutally murder hundreds of innocent men women and children with their own hands.… Expand

They save you on multiple occasions and eventually you bring them back to your little hide out. Now the first issue I have here is continuity with character personalities (Characteristics/traits). Joel and Tommy are known to be survivors and it is clearly demonstrated in the first game. When I mean clearly, they literally show Joel being ruthless to a group of bandits that were pretending to be injured, knowing this, Joel goes straight through like a badass. However, this trait is no longer seen in the second game. He casually just walks into a room filled with people that are armed and unknown. He then introduces himself, eventually getting killed. You see Joel die in the most brutally and heart-wrenching way possible during the first act of the game (2 hours in). This is where people misunderstand the majority of why fans hate this. We are not upset that Joel died...its how he died. His death by the end of the game nearly meant nothing. His character is not the same character we grew to love. Nor was his death memorable or meaningful whatsoever. A lot of us understood the motive that was presented here for Ellie, and yes...it did make us angry and we too wanted revenge just like Ellie. But it was done in a way that was so lazy and poorly written.

    this was the worst game ever released by naughty dog!!! as a story focused game its main drawback was the bad story and extremely trash characters!!! it was a waste of good graphics and an amazing franchise! i think buying this game and playing it was a mistake and this game don't deserve to be the part II for amazing original TLOU.

    My favourite game of the PS4 era. I liked the original a hell of a lot - but this felt way better to me. The combat this time actually felt fun, and it was so fun to take people out and stealth around. And look, I get it, the story was controversial but I really enjoyed it. This is in my top 3 games of all time, probably - it's not MGS3 but it scratches somewhat of a similar itch for me.

    Jamás en un juego me interesé tan poco por personajes con los que me obligaban a jugar, los sucesos también eran incoherentes, todo muy random. Lo peor de lo peor. La segunda mitad del juego fue en Exceso ABURRIDA, me daba pereza terminar el juego.

    One of the best story based single-player games I have ever played. The gameplay, graphics and story are phenomenal. It's very dark and unforgivable. Ellie and Joel are not your creations. You may have been happier to have had another cross country trail with the two of them however instead you were provided with a truly unique experience. You were forced to realise that everyone has their own story and why they act the way they do instead of the usual dumbed down good and evil dynamic. This game was lost on you and to be honest a lot of life will be also. It was a devastating ending which was heartbreaking. It wasn’t happy however there remains hope that both characters can find happiness in a world which has really gone to **** Revenge is poisonous and cost both these characters a heavy price. I’m thankful for the experience. Naughty Dog own these characters and created them and I trust them with the narrative. Not some whiney clowns who want to be spoon fed artificial grief but always with a happy ending in conclusion. Grow up.… Expand

    Este juego es muy criticado y odiado pero para mi es una gran joya, lo que hizo mal fue la muerte de joel un poco forzada, los trailers engañosos, inclusión forzada y la historia no parece un the last of us 2 mas bien parece un juego de zombies mas pero aun asi siento que se esforzaron mucho en hacerlo, ademas es superdivertido y tienes mas exploracion que en el primer juego. En conclusiónEste juego es muy criticado y odiado pero para mi es una gran joya, lo que hizo mal fue la muerte de joel un poco forzada, los trailers engañosos, inclusión forzada y la historia no parece un the last of us 2 mas bien parece un juego de zombies mas pero aun asi siento que se esforzaron mucho en hacerlo, ademas es superdivertido y tienes mas exploracion que en el primer juego.     - While hidden, AI is very predictable with their movements. All stealth games have this issue though.
    - Can't switch which side of the shoulder your camera is on, only while aiming you can.
    - The story is really slow in the bulk of the game and a bit lackluster.
    - Too much of the story felt like you was doing detours, like getting fuel or medical supplies.
    - I felt a lot of my time was looking for loot and it's like I needed to do it even though it got old.
    - The story going forwards and backwards in time too often hurts the pacing of the story.
    = The story isn't as good as the first game and even though the graphics are better, the image looks horrible with the film grain. You can turn the grain off while in photo mode and it's sad because the game looks so much better with it off, It's such a shame. It's still a very good game, but it's not been able to grip me like the first one did.

    (Edit: Apprently the film grain can now be turned off if you update the game)    … Expand

The author wants us to sympathyze the enemy, showing a "grey moral". But it just makes the game even more repulsive. Not to mention the lack of logic amid postapocallypse and senseless agenda. Wanted to throw away the game and completed it only out of respect to the characters. Very dissapointed. The first game made me buy PS4 and this sequel "turns me against" Sony.

    A number of questionable choices that divided the community, but looking at the ending, it seems there was no obviously better way to tell this story. So it seems to me those choices were justified.

Первый: глупость - корень всех проблем человечества. Второй: дела нужно доводить до конца. И никакого «насилие порождает ещё больше насилия». Вообще не так. Все проблемы героев исходят строго из того, что они становятся добренькими в тех ситуациях, где этого делать КАТЕГОРИЧЕСКИ не следует, да ещё и в совокупности с невероятной человеческой глупостью. И это я ещё не упомянул о множестве других проблем игры: не упомянул я о куче логических несостыковок, о персонажах добавленных только ради повестки, и ситуациях с ними связанных, о жестокости ради жестокости и так далее. Наконец чтобы проникнуться злодеем, я должен ему сопереживать. А как я могу сопереживать дезертиру, убивающему своих бывших товарищей, ради людей, которые мало того, что спасли ее случайно, так ещё и она в первые же секунды расплатилась с ними сполна. Не говоря уже о том, что она убила самого любимого персонажа первой части. В общем той концовки, что ей дали сценаристы она явно не заслуживала. Единственное за что хочется похвалить игру - графика и локации. Вот они потрясающие. За это игре 2 балла, а не ноль.… Expand

    What a disappointment, biggest let down from a game series ever. Tlou 1 was my favourite game ever made, characters that matter and a storyline thatade you invest yourself in it. Then tlou 2 is made and its just shockingly bad, im not going to list all the reasons why but yeah.

    This is an emotional, challenging game to get through, but utterly unforgettable. A phenomenal experience from start to finish, I feel deeply sorry for people who couldn't enjoy it, they have missed out on something special.

    One Year later I still have a very bad feeling about this game, the story is painful for me, it went from something really good to being so bad. The gameplay is very cool and good, i enjoyed it but the story is very very very disappointing. I feel very broken hearted on how they decided to take this story arc for the part 2.

    Gameplay was dated yet in the original, but here only a "too good" cable stands out from something significant in terms of differences and improvements. Plot isn't good and treats disrespectful to the original, fans, previous work of developers and divide the players. Huge waste of stunning visuals and hard work of developers.

    This game is a masterpiece. It kept me thinking and wanting to talk about it for the solid two months. One of the best narratives I've ever encountered. 9 not a 10 just because I grew tired of scavenging after a while.

Fantastic characters, a deep perspective on human life, entangled choices, and what constitutes as moral and just in a world where blind ideologues are prepared to kill or be killed.     The only nice thing I found and that I saved was the gameplay but only because I had fun.
    I state that I was totally indifferent to the story and what was happening in the game, but I followed it all to see how horrible the writing was. The story is told in a horrible way unlike the first chapter, also the game becomes quite predictable with the situations that will happen to you during the game, for example you know that there will be a jump scare, enemies that will attack you, moments when the character falls and other situations such as finding resources before enemies I have bosses, safes and more. For a game that wants to be realistic it is full of forcing to move the plot forward and meaningless moments. For example Tommy who enters Seattle with the horse but when we arrive we find the gate closed and the power turned off, when with Ellie we go to the hospital from Nora and after capturing her we throw ourselves into the hole under both without a mask but the soldiers only notice that Nora does not have the mask, Nora who could give a false information to Ellie about where to find Abby since they were alone and that Nora would have transformed / died from spores, Jesse and Ellie separating while going to the aquarium, the map that falls to Ellie at the aquarium but no one notices even when they return to the theater, Ellie who knows why Abby killed Joel but in the game is not shown how he knows, Jerry Abby's father who should be younger than Joel during the first TLOU but who does not know how he became so good and can create the vaccine despite its alleged age does not correspond with his medical knowledge especially in a post-apocalyptic world, Abby and Lev who are going to the hospital and while crossing the bridge fall right into a building where there is a swimming pool still full of water, the part where Abby arrives at the hospital alone and the WLF soldiers ask him if she has arrived swimming and Abby replies that her boat has gone but checking the area there are no steps to get to new and the only passage to get there by boat has debris and barbed wire, Abby who is not killed several times because she is saved once by Manny, two by Yara, the farm where Ellie, Dina and JJ are that is poorly protected by bandits who could assault her and other forcing and meaningless scenes with which the plot manages to move forward. The enemy artificial intelligence is good but nothing as great as it seemed to me at first look. I didn't like the two The Last of Us and I don't care about their story, characters etc, but honestly I found the first chapter clearly superior on almost everything except the gameplay that in TLOU2 has improved assault her and other forcing and meaningless scenes with which the plot manages to move forward.     Finally got around to playing this game. Kept waiting for the story to become bad, what with all the user reviews. Instead I repeatedly cried my heart out over these characters and ended the game with such a sense of completion. Only thing holding this game back (graphics are great, level design is awesome for a linear game) is the central gameplay loop.     This game was the perfect balance of beauty and brutality. Enough to make a 30 old with a heart of stone cry multiple times over what the main characters have gone through. Not just a game, more like an art piece.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Now to be 100% honest when the game was coming out i stayed away from any type of leak or spoiler. So what did I think? The gameplay is in my personal opinion a 10/10 its fun, tense and well crafted. And then there is the story... and yes I understand why people were disapointed, and in fact so was i, some of the things that happend made me think why did they choose this? After playing the game twice i sat down and broke down for my self why i thought this. There is an amazing tale here but for the end to be: oh I got revenge so you shouldnt boo hoo go home Ellie. If it had been handled just a bit diffrently it would have been 10/10, so if they choose to make a third game, all i hope is that they think about what the fanbase wants and what makes sense for the characters they have to use, because you can have the best character but if you ignore what they stand for and is written for then of course fans will retaliate with hate and disapointment. My hope is that the director for the first game comes back because to me, he gets the universe and the characters… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. When it comes to The Last of Us 2, there is so much I like. The music of course is just as good as the first, the gameplay has improved significantly with some of the best enemy AI I've seen, perfectly crafted for the hide-and-seek arena-style combat the game sets you up in. The graphics are genuinely perfect for me and I can think of a single game that looks nearly as good as this game. The story starts off great and really gets you into the mindset of revenge and then, by the end, it just fell short in a lot of ways. The character swap from Ellie to Abby might've been good for a sequel or side story but you spend almost half the entire game playing as Abby, focusing on a completely different story that doesn't correlate with the first half of the game in the slightest. It is like we were watching a movie and halfway through someone got up, turned it off, and put on another film. It is jarring and I never really got over the switch, always thinking in the back of my head 'when am I getting back to Ellie'. It was really frustrating. Along with that, it hurt the gameplay because it cutout almost an entire enemy faction from the game for the rest of it. The differences between the Seraphites and the WLFs were the WLFs had better weapons and were more coordinated and loud, whereas the Seraphites were slow and methodical, hiding in the shadows from you to strike when you weren't looking. Now you just fought the cult. Additionally, it didn't even take advantage much being with a group as you really were cutoff from the rest of the WLF for a majority of it. I think this was a huge mistake and the biggest annoyance for me. Additionally, I think the ending not being a choice really was a true and honest mistake, and I almost feel like they didn't let you choose because they wanted to sequel bait. When it comes to the level design it is fantastic, but dear god in comparison to the first game a lot didn't make sense. In the first game, you spent so much time traveling places, and it showed how difficult it would be to travel. In this game everyone can magically teleport halfway across the country with ease and never have any issues on the way, and it ends up making you hate the Seattle location because you keep on seeing the same stuff over and over and over. Which is a shame, because there are so many interesting areas and they are surprisingly large to let you explore, but like, you go to the aquarium in this game six or seven times. It is simply too much. I would've wanted more of Jackson, or maybe a city/town on the way, or just some other location like how the first game had. The best aspect of the game though was the combat. I don't understand people who say it was exactly the same. It is the same base because, well, this is a sequel. It is like getting mad at Mario for still mainly being about jumping. But the differences were the changes to your toolset. Enemies are much smarter which lets you be smarter in baiting them out and planning your attacks, while also finding their patterns. The game letting you get back into stealth means that you can constantly jump out, attack, and plan your escape to hide and jump out again. If this game had the first game's story and location variety, I wouldn't need another game ever again because of how fun and creative you could be with the game's combat. But, sadly, that isn't the case, and I hope if they return to The Last of Us they take the best aspects from this game and the last one to create a truly wonderful experience.… Expand

    The definition of a mixed bag. Vastly improved gameplay and stunning graphics are marred by an uneven story with good ideas, but with awful pacing, a lackluster ending, and inconsistent writing.

If you are sitting there with a 48', 50', 55'' or larger screen, I feel sorry for you.

    Gameplay, boring, an absolute chore. Somehow I can't believe that after spending years at a camp, that the characters will only have 1 or 2 bullets in their inventory, and the fact that melee weapons break so easy is hysterical. Like sure, I get that it increases the challenge, but this isn't the early 2010's where games can't find better ways to increase the challenge. A steel pipe or wrench simply won't snap in half after hitting a decaying corpse/clicker.

    Sound: no complaints

    Characters, well everyone knows the plot at this point, and I cant say I agree with what the game director thought was a good idea to kill a certain character, even staff at Naughty Dog questioned this. Stupid decision where the game designer tries too hard to be like Michael Bay or Ridley Scott. This is a game, we grow to love characters, we want to be able to control them, not have them and all the hours we spent on them, eliminated from the game leaving us only a teenager to control, like WTF.

    3/10 OR 30/100 - I wonder which reviewers PlayStation paid to give this game a good rating. Because it certainly did NOT deserve to win GOTY over Ghost of Tsushima, Hades, Doom Eternal -- games that actually went all out with quality and didn't cut corners or completely ruin the plot.    … Expand

While there were a few genuinely good moments, majority of game filled up with plot holes. It just took elements of what worked for the first game without understanding what made them compelling.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
