    This game is awesome, absolutely stunning, a new game experience, the story is great. In Part I there are already a lot of "wtf" moments happened that make someone think about. In Part II there are even more of these situations. Both parts shows reality, current political and social issues that might hit hard and make you think about.     I absolutely love this game but the load times when you skip a cutscene is brutally long as if the game is trying to punish you for trying to just play the improved combat

    It's fantastic, even better than the original. All the leaks that came out were taken out of context and seems a lot of simps in here want to whine and review bomb it because they lack the ability to think for themselves. It's amazing, they just want to hate it.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. first game is a masterpiece. this game is bad. the gameplay is only slightly changed but after this much time that amount of improvement feels like a step back. the biggest let down was all the lies. neil told us when the sequel was announced they wouldn't return unless the story was good and he said how important these 2 characters were to him and the team. both characters were ruined and unrecognizable to the characters we loved by the end of this game. ellie had family friends and a home, now she has nothing and is alone. and joel well joel is dead in the most bs way they could write full of a million coincidences to make it all fit together. neil also made sure to lie and tell fans with trailers joel will make it deep in the game and that he's a main character still just to find out it was faked. neils hubris was on full display as he thought he could lie to all the fans and still make the story good enough that we wouldnt hate it. you failed fans and the characters neil. his new fav character abby is maybe the most dislikable person ever written in anything. she does and says more disturbing things than joel but she does it for revenge and hatred unlike joel who did it for love and survival and yet were supposed to accept her by the end even though she's worse than joel and killed him after a long drawn out torture we have to watch. sound design is a mixed bag. glass breaking and other objects sound great but most guns and the atmosphere noise is sub par and often just silent like nothing in the world makes a noise without ellie. don't make me kill dogs with no choice then try and make me feel bad. no one wants to kill dogs. you can tell they wrote the end first and that they couldn't come up with a good story to get you there. the the end game is so disconnected from the gameplay leading up to it its insane. abby gets ellies forgiveness and remorse after ellie just killed 100s of enemies she didn't even know, but abby who she hates for a reason can live, abby who has given her ptsd is now forgiven. joel is a murky character but he's clearly the good out of many evils in the world. abby is not murky she's just a bad person who only cares for herself and she works for the evils in the world willingly. lev/yara is the only likeable part of her story but its entirely them, abby stinks. hope the show retcons abby so joel and tommy just watch her get eaten instead and go home and have great lives. this game not improving on the sales of the first show how much a mess this game is. 10 million plus people loved the first and yet you managed to deliver a product that even in an improved gaming market with more ps4 than ever they could not even expand sales a little. tlou part 3 is going to flop hard when ever they inevitably force the next turd out as part of the shows story needing to continue rather than an actual idea for good story telling.… Expand

    Most of the people hate this game, I can understand them. I didn't expect much, what he wanted to tell was very predictable, but there were nice details, I think the gameplay and animations were revolutionary

    I just finished part I and played this to complete the series. I am really dissapointed with Naughty dog and what they did to this story and the political flavor but honestly it is an incredibly powerful and moving story. Awesome gun battles and addictive game play. I loved both part 1 and 2. Amazing story telling. Even though some of the scenes were really awkward because of the wholeI just finished part I and played this to complete the series. If you could define divisive, it would be this game you’ll see many reviews both positive and negative but I think that there are a lot of aspects of this game that are worthwhile while others are merely disgraceful to what the last games president set. Most of the Eli stuff was good as well as the relationships she had with every character that was with her butt cutting it in the middle of the game to go to. Abbi did my interest in the game so severely that I barely even finished it. You see many people whining about any LGBTQ representation, but honestly even if you care it’s not over bearing at all it’s not treated any special way. It’s just treated normal. The ending was also very lackluster.… Expand

    The game on a mechanical level is excellent, very detailed and realistic. It is a pity that the story is so bad, incongruous and with thousands of scripts, in addition to a lousy and unsatisfactory ending. Bruce Strailey should have directed this second part.

    Sin duda uno de los mejores juegos que haya jugado en mi vida, graficamente es una maravilla visual, sin contar el nivel absurdo en el detalle, la historia me engancho de principio a fin, nunca habia sentido tantas emociones en un videojuego como las que vivi en esta entrega, te hace dudar de tus acciones, te hace reflexionar en tus motivaciones, no es una historia de buenos y malo, es unaSin duda uno de los mejores juegos que haya jugado en mi vida, graficamente es una maravilla visual, sin contar el nivel absurdo en el detalle, la historia me engancho de principio a fin, nunca habia sentido tantas emociones en un videojuego como las que vivi en esta entrega, te hace dudar de tus acciones, te hace reflexionar en tus motivaciones, no es una historia de buenos y malo, es una historia de la lucha por la supervivencia, de hasta donde estamos dispuestos a llevar nuetras motivaciones y el costo de ellas.
    Fue doloroso perder a un personaje como Joel, definitivamente uno de los mejores personajes en la historia de los videojuegos pero seamos objetivos; toda accion tiene una reaccion y este juego nos hace enteder lo crudo que es en una representacion tan real de algo que podria pasar.

    It's a good game, the story maintains the level of the previous story, but I don't like the character design, it's much longer than it should. And it doesn't help as they have introduced a new character, it could be better.

I avoided all spoilers for the sequel and went in trusting the team at naughty dog to deliver an outstanding experience once more with this new entry. I could not believe how badly the team approached this project, given the amount of time it was in production. Here are the main issues I have with this game. 1. Joel’s death early in the game was a huge shock and the set up was completely out of character for both him and Tommy. 2. The writing and dialogue between characters is of a much lower standard compared to the first game. 3. The new character Abby who you’re forced to play as, after killing Joel is a real low point. They try and build up a relationship with the player to show her side of the story and reasons for killing Joel. This feels forced and goes on way to long. 4. This redemption arc goes out the window when she starts killing all the wolves members who she knew and was a part of for years. 5. Tommy gets shot in the head and some how pops up at the end of the game. 6. The pacing of the game at the end feels like it will never end, it’s dragged out way too long, 7. The way that Tommy spoke to Ellie at the end of the game was so out of character it was laughable. I’m giving this game a 5 out of 10 because of the graphics, which are outstanding. The reason the majority of people loved the first game was because of the story and relationships between characters. I really wanted to like this game. I have never written a review before and just thought I would try and give an honest opinion on why I think naughty dog missed the mark with this game.… Expand

    Disappointment is now synonymous with "The Last of Us. Part 2" Disappointment from the fact that the author of the script of this game flushed down the toilet, the incredible gaming experience that the first part of the game gave us. I put 1 point. And this is without taking into account the excellent work of    Disappointment - that's what I'm left with after 30 hours of playing.

    I put 1 point. And this is without taking into account the excellent work of everyone who worked on the technical part of the game. Great acting. Incredible character animation. Great music and sound overall. But... all this loses its meaning if you are presented with crap in a nice wrapper.
    And all because of a terrible scenario.

    If you do start, be prepared that in the middle of the game they will give you a bucket of **** and say: "Eat this!"
    You will be forced to do things that are not interesting to you or even disgusting. You will hope that it will end quickly, but no - the bucket of **** will have to be eaten completely.
    And when the story is approaching the end, you will have one wish - let it end as soon as possible. You will be sick of the meaningless and aimless action in which you will participate. And the credits will be a relief.

    The moral of the story is primitive and stupid. It's a shame for the authors that they put everything on this childish rule: "It's bad to be bad, it's good to be good."

    If you liked the first part, then I do not recommend playing "The Last of Us. Part 2".

    A winding and generally exciting story, with well written characters. I'd say the journey is better than the somewhat anti-climatic payoff though. The game has stunning visuals, amazing audio and incredibly detailed world. Not enough has been said about the incredible battles with the infected either.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. shock value over good paced storytelling, obnoxious obvious message that’s been done to death, unsatisfying ending, no player choice despite decisions of violence being a theme (wasted potential), removal of a good and interesting character for aforementioned shock, lots of flashbacks and waste of an amazing rope physics/puzzle mechanic. only gets a one because the sole redeeming feature of this game to me is the gameplay, the movement feels fluid and satisfying. Gets another point for great acting. I really wanted to adore this game like i adore the last of us part 1.… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
