    ***SPOILERS DO COMEÇO DO JOGO***

A maioria das análises falando bem do roteiro do game não leva em consideração o marketing com propaganda falsa e o "Parte 2" no nome "The Last of Us".

This game is the case when there was a lot of noise and praise, but inside everything is sad and mean for full-price =(

Among the advantages can be distinguished:
    - Game is beautiful, the artists and level designers tried.
    - The animations are designed so that the characters interact with some things and the environment in an interesting way.
    - Sometimes fighting the battle is very pleased, as it effectively was made of the situation after injury or killing enemies.

    Disadvantages in my opinion are:
    - Structure of the scenario and its individual moments. I cannot believe in the authenticity of such a world and its heroes and understand that the authors wanted to make analogies in the characters' images. It is very difficult to create a sequel when there was an original before it, which a sufficient number of people already love. The authors had to understand - this is a responsibility and one must very skillfully play on the strings of the players' souls. But this plot and its details show the opposite - it works for fewer people than it could.
And yes, dialogues. This is terrible ((((I felt the poverty and stinginess of the characters' images. They can push off the heroes in the first hours, and therefore I felt bad from the beginning to the end of the game.
    - Feels like the game should have been with a more open world. The creators were clearly technically unable to do this (or there are other reasons for this). But the predetermined linearity with long history is disappointing. I very often wanted to return to a location nearby in one chapter or another (for example to collect items). But they don't let you do that. For me this is a confirmation in the absence of replayability. It is very difficult to force yourself to replay when I would like to complete achievements. Even after some time - there is no pleasure in it.
    - There is little music. I understand that the authors wanted to emphasize the atmosphere of the environment.
But the appropriate music is not enough to better connect the player with what he is experiencing. In some areas and moments it would be possible to make vocal trills of stringed instruments - it is depressing without them.
I could go on, but I am very sorry to write all this. Previously, I was familiar with heavy and dramatic works, from which you can cry, worry, but feel with all your heart - it was not for nothing. TLOU Part2 is not even something close to this.
The game could be a really wonderful creation, but they decided to make it something else, a way to convey only what you will either fully accept or reject.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The biggest downfall of this game is the Story in my opinion. The problem is, the first game makes it so easy to Love Joel and Ellie as characters, despite Joels questionable actions, so we naturally as players want the best for him after the events of the first game. He finally finds a daughter figure again in Ellie and then he is killed off within a few years. It just doesn't feel like the right sendoff.
Then we are forced to play as his killer and sympathize with her in a "Revenge is bad" narrative.
Its just a bleak and depressing game and it makes me regret wanting a sequel.
I get that Joel is no hero but I do think he deserved better than this. Abby did a lot of horrible stuff also but she gets to live but the main character of the first game doesn't? That is B.S.
The game also uses cheap tactics to try to make the player like Abby more.

    Pros: AMAZING visuals and landscapes.
Some good dialogue despite the poor story.
    Great flashback sequences.
    Solid Gameplay

But for a story driven game, the story being a Miss unfortunately makes the sequel feel not needed and disrespectful to the first games characters.

The Last of Us Part II has been a catalyst for vitriol within the gaming community this year, and I'm wanted to give my genuine thoughts on the sequel to one of my favorite gaming experiences ever. I played through The Last of Us Part I at least 10-15 times in the last 10 years (I'm not kidding). So, is The Last of Us Part II really as bad as everyone says, or is it something else?

Starting with the story, I am conflicted. After an event drives Ellie out of Jackson, She finds herself on a path of revenge throughout the city of Seattle against multiple factions in this 20-25 hour story. You battle the militant faction known as the "WLF" or "Wolves", as well as a religious faction of zealots known as the "Seraphites" or "Scars". This is the darkest story I've ever experienced and it exhausted me and made me miserable the entire way through, not because it's bad, but because I believe it's very well written. Having said this, I can understand why MANY gamers don't like this game. This is not a happy or joyful experience. No story has ever made me reflect as much as this story has, and I have immense respect for that. This is one of the few games that only require one playthrough to satisfy your desire to play it. Though if you play through this story, I highly suggest you go into and play with an open mind.

Next, I want to discuss the gameplay. The gameplay is very similar to the previous title with some new additions to mechanics like traversal. You still go around collecting scraps and ammo while crafting gadgets to get yourself through the next combat encounter you'll inevitably find yourself in. This does make the game feel a bit repetitive on new game plus settings. There is a new grappling hook adding additional levels to the game allowing for the player to get to harder to reach spots off the beaten path. They've also added jumping and the ability to go prone which paired with combat feel really good! Sliding between cracks in walls while trying to escape a pursuing enemy dog or disappearing into a bed of reeds trying to regain stealth and gain an advantage on your adversaries feels amazing and rewarding, especially on higher difficulties. Ellie also has her switchblade, allowing an ease on resources like the crafted shiv from the first game. There are also new weapons and gadgets that add to the experience like a pipe bomb or the trap mine (which yes just splits the nail bomb into two separate weapons but adds for a greater need for saving resources). This game is also incredibly well crafted and designed. In my two-plus playthroughs of this game, I ran into no glitches, bugs, or crashes. Everything works so incredibly well and runs smoothly.

Finally, I want to talk about the visuals. This game looks incredible on the Playstation 4 Pro. The environments are absolutely gorgeous whether you're exploring the overgrown urban environment of Seattle. the snowed-in mountains of Jackson, or a few other areas you'll find yourself in. The lighting and colors of the game are completely jaw dropping. Utilizing things like film grain makes the environments and background environments look extra good. The soundtrack is also the closest thing to perfect you'll find. Gustavo Santaolalla did an amazing job creating the music for this game, though it's hard to decide if it's better than the soundtrack of the first game.

This game is not what I expected. The story is way too dark, yet still undeniably beautiful. Pairing this with the combat in between areas of story and reflection, it works well. I definitely don't think this game is a 1-2/10, but at the same time, it's definitely not a 10/10.

As for the TLOU2, I was looking forward to it for years. Played through it and the story totally ruined it for me. The game is beautiful, the gameplay is fine but the pacing is really weird and ruins the experience, the dialogues are cringy and it has a Hollywoody feel, and not in a good way. There are too many characters with no character depth and the decisions they make are just plain stupid at times. I will play it through one more time just to see what I missed but I can't see myself picking the game up after that ever again. No multiplayer also sucks. If they ever release TLOU3, I won't bother buying it. Now I wish that Naughty Dog had stopped after the first game and just ended the story there. Expand

    Scores:
    Story: 5/10
    Gameplay: 8/10
    Graphics: 10/10
    Overall: 7/10

    Pros:
-One of the best looking games on PS4. Possibly the best
    -Zombies are intense when present
-The story was at it's best during certain Ellie flashbacks

    Cons:
    -Main story had major issues
    -New characters are largely forgettable
-Ellie/Abby parallel does not make sense

    Additional Thoughts:
I think a 7 might even be a generous score, but the graphics are undeniably amazing and there were parts of the story I still enjoyed.

That said, the main story was a bit of a mess. For the story to be successful, you had to buy into the Ellie/Abby parallel. That analogy did not work in my opinion. Ellie shows that she is generally trying to do the right thing on multiple occasions. I felt that Abby pretty much came off as a psychopath multiple times even during her section of the game. I understand they were trying to create some moral ambiguity, but Abby felt like a definite villain to me.

Joel's death can only be described as a bizarre choice by Naughty Dog. I suspected it was unlikely he would make it through the game, but to kill him so quickly and literally spit on his body? I cannot understand how anyone thinks that his death was well scripted regardless of his actions at the end of the first game. Can you imagine if this formula was applied to other games? Nathan Drake killed by a random enemy's cousin. Mario killed by a Goomba's grandson. Batman killed by henchman's neighbor. It sounds ridiculous because it is ridiculous! It didn't have to be an overblown theatrical ending, but what they went with was a bad choice.

I don't expect a perfectly realistic game since TLOU is a fictional world, but some of the choices characters make/things that happen are so ridiculous it took away from the experience. I will mention some of these at the end of my other points.

I will also say that those who think Naughty Dog is not pushing their political views into games are kidding themselves. They have been trending this direction over the course of a few games, and I do think it is starting to detract from the experience. I wouldn't say it ruins the game by any stretch, but it is pretty transparent.

The flashbacks were great. Really captured what made the first game so amazing. I also thought the ending flashback somewhat salvaged an otherwise bad story.

    Story Issues that Jumped Out:
    - Why would a pregnant doctor ever leave the safety of a camp?
    - Scars pretty much only exist to give Abby something to do during her part of the story
    - Why does Nora get to die off screen after she trashes Joel? Additionally, why is Ellie traumatized from killing her when she has killed dozens/hundreds to get there?
    - The doctor from the first game doesn't really resemble Abby's dad that much
    - Abby's backstory is way too short
    - Does WLF really just store all of their dead bodies in a tent inside their camp? Seems like an issue in a number of ways
    - How is Abby possibly fighting back at the end? She was hanging on the post long enough for her fellow prisoners to think she was dead, not to mention Ellie stabs her multiple times
    - Why would anyone fight zombies with their bare hands? Seems like Abby should know better
    - Seems extremely unlikely that Tommy would survive that gunshot wound
    - The fight with the giant Scar was cool, but no way he is fighting after having his face essentially cut in half
    - Ellie struggles to walk after being slightly stabbed by a tree, but Yara gets an arm amputated and is on a mission within a few hours

Overall, good looking game, story was okay at best. Worth playing to experience the visuals first hand, but nowhere near how great the first game was.

I'm rating this game low because the plot of this game and character development is garbage. While the graphics are beautiful and they did improve some of the game play mechanics, I didn't like Last of Us as a series for the gameplay. It was all about the characters and their adventure. They totally ruined that by killing off characters you care about. They make you dislike characters, then play as them. They kill off characters left and right where you literally like no one and don't have fun playing. The worst part is the ending. Wow. Such garbage. There is no payoff. Ellie is left as a shell of her former self. Expand

This game however isn't even worth the effort to rewrite the whole review. It's painfully mediocre at best. It's a 2/10 story while waving "muh graphics" in your face as if it's some sort of crutch that will save it. The gameplay didn't evolve much either. They just added dogs to the mix so you cant camp for too long and the semi-puzzles of the first game are gone.

    Unjustified 10/10s?

Critics™ unanimously not being "Critics"? Perfectly fine! It will even look better in the catalogue when people browse and only the Critic™ reviews are shown.

Unjustified 0/10s? Shut it down. Change the system so only Trusted™ access media can give scores for what is probably the most vital time for a game while everyone else has to wait 36 hours after release. That'll fix it! (No it won't you're just angering people more)

But this game gets a 5/10. It's mediocre as all hell. I was going to rate it 6/10 but everything surrounding the game just makes it worse. Metacritic's is just.. it's. the Pinnacle of how games are just becoming corporatized nonsense with faceless nobodies making decisions and reacting to things they don't understand.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Poor storyline ruined this game, killing Joel off is the first of the big mistakes this game made killing off the best character is just **** the entire games story was completely pointless you spend the entire game trying to kill Joel’s killer only to let her go in the end. I didn’t have a problem with the lesbian relationship, but the transgender character is a joke I think that your “gender identity” is the last thing you should be thinking about during a zombie apocalypse there are bigger problems to deal with. The only saving grace of this game was the visuals but the gameplay was the exact same as the first game just adding a few things, if they want to make another game they should make brand new characters and do it from the start of the apocalypse and get a new director telling the haters to **** off, no you **** off games are not about pushing a political agenda. This game has wonderful music, some of the best graphics and visuals, and can have very emotional scenes and impacts when you have scenes with Joel and Ellie. That would be the story. The ending was one of the worst and disappointing endings I have ever witnessed. The theme of the game is not consistent. Characters act not like themselves or do stupid things they normally don’t do. And one character that you don’t want to play as becomes a major character in the game even though the game advertised that Ellie would be the main star. The second half of the game just ruined the whole game. So in conclusion, the villain can get away with revenge but not the MC and has to lose everything because they loved Abby more than the two characters that helped make the Last of us such a masterpiece. Since this is a story driven game, the story needs to weigh more than any other category for the game. of a game Expand

TLOU2 faliled to convince plyers why these things happened. The most important thing is that you, Naughty Dog ruined my memory with Ellie and Joel.

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
