    Unfortunately this is a completely miss for the most anticipated sequel of the century. Gameplay and the Story normally comes hand and hand. Gameplay has somehow improved with better accuracy but the storytelling let’s down of what could have been the game of the year, It’s character doesn’t comprehension

    Man this game is disappointing. Instead of being a proper follow up to the original that focused on the story threads that one set up, they ended up making one of the worst, most unsatisfying revenge plots i think ive ever seen. Complete disrespect to the original characters and one of the worst endings in videogame history. The gameplay and story in this game is hot garbage butMan this game is disappointing.     Story is bad, and the characters are worse. Graphics are beautiful but that's where the good part ends. You cant have a good game without good memorable characters and story.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. You build up a relationship between two characters. you promise that this relationship wil continue. But then Butcher one of these charaters and force us to play as the killer for half of the game. At the end Ellie doesn't get her revenge and she loses everything. While Abby get's her revenge and goes to the fireflies happyly ever after. So your message of revenge is not the anwser is not true.

    Abby takes her revenge and wins. She survives, gets a happy ending.
    While Ellie, after a long journey of pain and loss, doesn't kill Abby. And she gets the bad ending where she is, what she always feared, alone.

    Lots of the characters make stupid choices that they never would make if we look at TLOU part 1. The only reason they make these stupid choices is so that the plot can happen.

    I've never been this disappointed in a game before.
    I don't think I've ever even disliked a video on yt but I had to make an account and leave this score, if only to vent a little. Unless you couldn't care less about the first game, don't buy this crap. Heck even if you didn't care, this game is just not fun or engaging in any way

    The story is mediocre and cheap. Possibilities were endless but they picked a route that added up nothing to the overall world of TLoU and the characters we love so much. It's best to forget this game ever released and to pretend that the original game has no sequel.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After a few hours in this game it’s exactly what I expected. A lot of the combat and controls feel recycled and marginally improved if at all. The graphics are a step up, but the gameplay feels monotonous. There are strange mini-games and constant swapping between characters which kind of feels out of place.

    Beyond the gameplay comes a feeling of forced inclusion as the story rips apart everything that the first game built up. The beautiful strong character dynamics shared by Ellie and Joel is destroyed in this game (literally). Only to be replaced by seemingly forced indoctrination into an LGBT community where transsexual, and homosexual ideals take center stage. Even to include an extremely perverse scene of sexual intercourse between two males. This game serves no purpose beyond pushing an agenda and destroying the legacy of an amazing game. I recommend you avoid at all costs.    … Expand

    Who thought that having to play as the villain half of the game and killing/severely injuring the previous game's protagonists was a good idea? And then when you play as the remaining protagonist you let the villain get away with it? WTF

    Characters act stupid for the sake of plot, and not a single new character is likable (except for Yara and Lev, they should've just made the game about these two).     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. i feel anger, disappointment, sadness...we've all loved the 1st one after seeing the love that has grown between ellie and joel really made me emotional. After hearing that the 2nd one will be released, i was delighted till point i couldn't hold my horses and watched it, and regret that moment really. We all knew that Joel had a strong personality not giving adl damn **** about people, how could he introduce himself to a random crew, and watching him dying in such a cruel way that was creepy. What about ellie she left everyone who cared caref about just to revenge but at the end let her go plus she left her with no fingers she can't play guitar anymore .

    Thank you ND for spoiling a great franchise with your work money grab! The last of us didn’t need a sequel but as soon as the money started rolling in its fate was sealed.. Storyline is absolutely garbage 0/10

    Completely and utterly ruined the entire narrative for me and the walking simulator gameplay is absolute garbage, something that should be left to death stranding, but back to the topic at hand, just please do yourself a favour if you’re an original TLOU fan just think that it was the one and only game in the series.

    this game proves that critic reviewer got paid to get high score.. this game was absolute garbage..

    i give the first last of us 10/10, but this political game with huge plot hole, the story was so trashy..

    the only good score was for graphic only..

    This game is a big slap to a face of every single fan of the first game. Its a waste of amazing soundtrack, waste of acting, waste of amazing characters made in first game, waste of designers and people who have put a lot of hours of work into this game, everything i mentioned is ruined because of terrible story.

    This game is a joke. There literally is no meaning to the story. It's all about REVENGE and pointless violence. A lot of characters get killed off, just like that. Completely randomly by some random passerby. No real mourning or buld up. The characters get killed so much, that there are hardly any characters to even like left, although there isn't that much to like from the very beginning.This game is a joke. Nothing at all. This game didn't include any plot or quality, it merely tried to abuse exploitation methods like horror and violence. 7 years for something like that. It also really seems like a lot of the positive reviews were fake or paid off. In all twitch chats I have seen so far, there was COMPLETE consensus that people didn't like the game.… Expand

The story is filled with plot holes and shock value but in the end it doesn't deliver on its promise of a revenge cycle.     They ruined a good franchise by allowing mentally ill individuals such as anita sarkesian to influence it. The 3 point are for the graphics, sound effects... However the plot is garbage, the characters are garbage and the politic agenda behind this game is garbage. Sorry

    I've never waited for a game so long in my life. At 60 years old, this is the only game I would play besides COD with my stepson. That being said, I could not have been more disappointed. I was willing to look past the sexuality that Druckman threw in because of our politically correct climate. However, he went too far with attempts at the shock factor. 2.5 hours in and I am done.     errrrr..... I knew that why so many people are so disappointed.They've been waiting for this game for so many years. But now they found that the game they had been looking forward to for several years was different from what they imagined.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
