    Unfortunately i have to give it a 0, the graphics and the gameplay are perfect BUT my God the writers and the game directors acutely spent 7 years thinking of how can we make our fans hate us ???     The last of us part 2 isn’t a good game and I’m gonna explain you why. The last of us part 1 is a master piece, because its story is based on hope. Maybe you won’t understand now and if you don’t, I invite you to play the first game one more time after reading this comment and get your conclusions. For now, I’m gonna give you just a glance of what I mean by hope: In the beginning of the first game, the character Joel (who’s a man that completely lost his faith), after getting to know Ellie a little better, remembers of his daughter and, as their relationship starts to grow, Joel gets more human. That’s a detail that almost no one noticed but during the game, we notice that certain actions of Joel isn’t coherent with the character we see in the beginning of the game. For example, the Joel in the beginning of the game would never forgive Henry and Sam after they left both Ellie and Joel to die. That’s just an example, of many others in the game, that the relationship between Ellie and Joel is so Strong that had the force to make Joel human and happy once again. Of course the dangerous environment turns Joel into an insane man, but Ellie was capable to break his insanity and transform it into hope.

    The last of us part 2, on the other hand, is a sad, pointless story, that was capable to destroy all the hope that was built in the first game. The game is about revenge, but there were so many ways of writing the storyline that I’m surprised things went this way. In my opinion, the character Abby is really important and has to be in the game, but not in this way. To sumarize, the story of the game could be: Abby, somehow getting to know both Joel and Ellie, and a little bit longer Jackson, starts to get to know them better and, without knowing Joel killed her father, starts to get close to Ellie, and a little later, to Joel. Abby notices that Jackson is a safe and beautiful place and, even though there aren’t many safe places left, Jackson is a place where hope remains. The fact that Joel killed Abby’s father would be unknown, even to the players, and during the game we would notice Abby starting to think and connect events related to her father’s death. In the end of the game, Abby would finally find out Joel was the one who killed her father. In this moment, we have a fight and Abby wins, but when she has the opportunity to kill both Joel and Ellie, she thinks about everything that’s passed during the game and the uncountable times Joel saved her. And that’s the moment she realizes revenge is a fool’s game and leaves. This sumarized story would not be the “happy story”, it would be the story that reinforces the hope that was so well built in the first game. I’m pretty sure the intention of Naughty Dog was to build the perfect the last of us part 2 because of what the game represents to so many people around the world. Unfortunately, the last of us part 2 doesn’t represent the first one and it’s definitely neither the game we wanted, nor the one we deserved.    … Expand

    I don't even know where to start with this review. It's disaapointing on so many levels. I've put about 27 hours into it and feel like I played 50. The writing and these new characters are terrible. Is this the same writer from last of us1? I don't know what happened and I can recommend.

The false marketing they made with this game is also pathetic. Nobody cares about Abby, no matter how hard they tried to humanize or makes us sympathize with her. It has its good parts, it has its great parts. Visually stunning, music is amazing, gameplay is very close to the first one. The ending was terrible. 30 hours of my life wasted, and you didn't even get to make a choice to kill Abby or let her go. You just let her go. Nevermind the hundreds of people Ellie killed along the way to get Abby, apparently they don't want revenge. The ending doesn't make sense.… Expand

    When I played the original The Last of Us it was one of the most fun & exciting gaming experiences I had ever had. In recent years, I have replayed the original game twice and enjoyed it again each time. Needless to say I was really looking forward to Part 2. For me it was a disappointment of epic proportions. I strongly suggest you save your money.

    Naughty dog had such a good thing going with the first game but they took the main characters we cherished and dragged them in the mud. Be it the physical torture and murder of Joel right in front of Ellie, or Ellie's wild goose chase through a city fighting two warring factions. All for nothing. And the nerve of naughty dog to try and make us feel bad for Abby by having us play as her forNaughty dog had such a good thing going with the first game but they took the main characters we cherished and dragged them in the mud. Be it the physical torture and murder of Joel right in front of Ellie, or Ellie's wild goose chase through a city fighting two warring factions. All for nothing. And the nerve of naughty dog to try and make us feel bad for Abby by having us play as her for ten hours with hardly any context after doing what she did. And to top it all off, they try to crudely force propaganda in our faces while we're forced to kill dogs that we later play with in a flashback.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I've played it multiple times now and I'm certain. I hate the lack of control or choice in this game. And I dont like the story. The gameplay is short simple and even dumbed-down. The creators clearly had a story to tell and that's fine. I just didn't enjoy it. In the end it was a game and not the end of the world if everyone liked or enjoyed it but it was not worth my money in the end and I feel like I wasted a lot of time feeling bad while playing it. I dont care about any of the controversial things in the characters themselves I dont have a problem with different people and their ideas or how they live their lives. But my problem is not letting us have control over the final choice because I would have killed abby just because I put myself in the character when I play games and you could say that abby killed my Joel self and my Ellie self wanted to kill her and even my abby self couldn't avoid committing suicide repeatedly during her easy linear gameplay that soon feeds you items on the path you are on. It's almost like they didn't want you to ignore her and proceed directly to the end my first moments as abby I didn't do anything just let the scene take place with all the action going on and people on horse back trying to kill me I just sat there the game literally broke my desire to play. My first real enthusiastic act as abby was to plummet to my death repeatedly. I know a zero seems harsh like I should rate on story graphics gameplay etc. But I did and honestly the one thing in this game that makes it bad for me is bad enough to render all other positives null and void, let me kill abby. Ellie may know forgiveness but I dont care and still want her dead.… Expand

It's because they are both awful people you have no sympathy for. The trans character murders a dog and the main character of the first game. And this is the protagonist???     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Я просто подавлена. Как этой игре люди ставят 10? Омерзительная поделка, порочащая великолепную первую часть. Начнем с минусов, потому что плюс в этой игре только один, и о нем чуть позже.
    Минусы:
    1)Сюжет. Отвратительно слили Джоэла, и заменили его худшим персонажем, за всю историю игровой индустрии. Больше мы не наблюдаем за отношениями отца и "дочери", отличный тандем слит в нулину. Зато теперь вместо Джоэла у нас есть перекачанное закомплексованное убожество, на которое трудно смотреть без слез. Слез не от того, что ты сопереживаешь персонажу, а от того, что ЭТИМ убожеством заменили Джоэла. По-настоящему живого персонажа... Вторая половина игры просто не нужна и бесполезна, если ее выкинуть, то ничего не изменится.
    2)Геймплей никак не эволюционировал с первой части. ИИ глупы, не видит напарников. Никаких дельных механик игра не показала, а стелс реализован очень плохо. Единственное, что появилось новое - возможность играть на гитаре, но одна гитара не вытащит игру из помоев, где она оказалась.

    4)Главный минус игры - Пропаганда феминизма и ЛГБТ+. Я покупаю за 5 ТЫСЯЧ РУБЛЕЙ игру про постапокалипсис, про отцовско-дочеринские отношения Джоэла и Элли, а получаю что? Сцены с совокуплением. Зачем мне смотреть на то, кто с кем совокупляется в игре про зомби апокалипсис? Я плачу 5 тысяч за игру, где мне показывают порево ради порева, чтобы, видимо, дети, играющие в это, узнали, что это такое. Зачем мне на это смотреть?
    Пилим дальше. Почему у женщин тут волосатые подмышки? Я, конечно, понимаю, что это постапокалипсис, бриться людям некогда, и не до этого вовсе, но давайте на чистоту. Кому приятно смотреть на эти мохнатые подмышки? Покажите мне этого человека. Это же мерзко. Будь они нормальными, никто бы внимания не обратил. Зачем так делать? И финалочка. Почему половина врагов тут - это женщины. Мне надоело убивать женщин в этой игре. А джаггернауты вообще вызывают только отвращение. И те, кто пишет, что игру нельзя ненавидеть за пропаганду - просто фанбои. Если вам на тарелке принесут вкусный салат, и добавят в него помои, вы станете его есть, даже если помоев там не много? Тем более что в игре пропаганды предостаточно, уж точно больше, чем немного.

    Подведем итог: Все, кто ставят игре 10 - это особо впечатлительные люди, только и всего. Критиков купили, тут все понятно, но игроков никто не покупал. Почему у игры такие высокие пользовательские оценки? Я не шучу, 5.2 это слишком много для этой поделки. Она должна быть так же закидана единицами, как закидали Warcraft III Reforged, если не сильнее. I’m Asian and the facial models of the Asians in the game are disgusting, they are like people with Down syndrome... Jesse gets shot in the head and no one even bloody cares...     Being forced to kill dogs completely ruins the game. Rapid checkpointing makes healing pointless since you can just reload the checkpoint every time you get spotted.

Anyone who has played the first game and felt the bond growing between Joel and Ellie will agree that this is a slap in the face. Joel dies almost instantly, giving us nothing, Ellie is portrayed as "evil" while Abby (the girl that kills Joel) is portrayed as a saint and they try so hard to make us like her. She sucks. She killed Joel. No one wanted any of this and it's just frustrating. Oh and you have to play as Abby for the majority of the game. FFS. Just do yourself a favour, go buy TLOU - Remastered and enjoy the original story of a bond between two unlikely characters, and the growth of a beautiful relationship.

    Also, Ellie doesn't even kill Abby at the end. Like what the ****?    … Expand

    I feel like this sequel had to have different writers or something. All of the character development was gone, an overwhelming amount of plot holes, sh*tty writing and execution, and on top of that the game play itself wasn't even as enjoyable as the first. Myself and many others expected so much more from waiting seven years after the first game. Incredibly disappointing.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
