    Last of Us Part 2 is the worst video game sequel I’ve ever played. The writing shows so little respect for the player’s intelligence, the gameplay does little to improve from the first game, and the events which transpire are so forced that it becomes laughable. I encourage everyone not to buy this game. The original is worth your time and money, but this one can burn in Hell where it belongs.

    O gameplay é bom, isso é o máximo que dá pra dar de elogio para esse jogo. Agora a história meu Deus que monte de bosta, 7 anos esperando pela sequência de uma obra prima e no final o resultado é decepcionante. Isso tudo é resultado da ganância desses caras que só ligam pro dinheiro, queriam tanto chamar a atenção que arruinaram tudo.

    Since the loss of Amy Hennig & Bruce Straley from Naughty Dog (you can read about the in studio conflicts online) their games have not been as industry leading as they once were. Naughty Dog was the biggest jewel in Sonys crown but I’m worried the studio is now on a terminal decline.

    I believe Sony were planning on releasing this game at the end of the PS4s time, mimicking the first games release at the end of the PS3s, this gave a massive boost to the new PS4. With this game, it is a massive falter on the eve of the PS5 launch. Combined with other questionable company decisions, the PS5 will have an uphill battle against a resurgent Microsoft. I’ve owned every Playstation console and have never really enjoyed the Microsoft offerings as much, but am considering switching platforms for the next generation. Can a game be that bad that it destroys a studio and looses an entire console generation? Only time will tell.    … Expand

Instead of building off of that, Naught Dog went in a completely random direction and ignored everything that the players loved originally.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Other than the lush environments and character models, every charming detail that made us fall in love with the first game just isn't here. There are no interesting NPCs, no comic relief and every note and artifact you pick up feels pointless and fails to tell a story (nothing close to the quality of Ish's story in the first game).

    Joel, Ellie and Tommy have had drastic changes made to their characters without any logical development to suit the narrative of the game. Joel, who was once the most cunning and resourceful of all characters is now gullible and plain dumb, as is his brother. The two of them walk into a blatant trap, unarmed with complete strangers, resulting in Joel's death, for the sole purpose of pushing a lacklustre plot and unbelievable story. Ellie, who was by far my favourite character from the first game has not one line of interesting dialogue, nor any level of decent character development throughout the game.

    This is a long game that is largely rammed with filler - jumping back and forth between plots that are riddled with flashbacks and dreams within flashbacks within other flashbacks. It makes the story feel disjointed and without a clear purpose. It's the epitome of bad storytelling, and frustratingly the game forces you to switch protagonists when it's finally finding any sort of rhythm - thus killing all tension and demolishing the story arc in one fell swoop.

    You proceed to play the second half as Abby (Joel's murderer) for nearly half of the game, doing nothing but completing side quests and being subjected to soppy and cringey cut scenes, in what feels like the most unwanted DLC in the history of gaming. It's nothing but a lazy attempt at making you feel empathy towards the new characters without writing them into the game properly in the first place. Sorry, but getting raw-dogged in the back of a yacht in a creepy aquarium just isn't going to cut it. In fact, I spent more time during my play through finding new satisfying ways to kill Abby as brutally as I could than I did trying to finish it.

    If I could choose to go back and not play it, I would. Even after 25-30 hours of playing the story, somehow, amazingly, no progression is made at all, nothing changes and by the end the message sent to the player is that the whole play through wasn't worth it in the first place - the only sentiment from the game that I wholeheartedly agree with.    … Expand

    They dumb down Joel's character on purpose to make him weak and stupid. In the first game he was very smart and had a ton of experience. He didn't even trust a guy that was sick on the road. He chose to run him over. Later we find out that stranger on the road was not sick and it was all a set up. They do everything to make you dislike Joel and continue to spit on him. They have a trans female/male shoot him in the leg and torture him with a golf club right in the first 2 hours of the game. They spit on him literally. They made Ellie unlikable and a selfish human being. She kills everyone and continued to blame Joel for saving her life. She cared so much in saving humanity because she has the immunity but instead she became a lesbian and chose not to reproduce. Let that sink in. She even let's Abby the one that tortured and murdered Joel in front of her get away with it. Abby also bit off two of Ellie's fingers. Her letting Abby go is basically saying Joel deserved dying. A loveable character who is the main character of the game. There was no justice for Joel. This game robbed everything from you just for shock value. The current narrative of destroying the male character to make the female character rise is very weak story telling. It is disrespectful to both genders. Females even hate it. Worst of all the pacing of the story is horrible. You literally play as Abby the character we hate for half the game. They tried so hard to make us like her but none of it worked. This game is a waste of time and money and should have never been created as a sequel. The critics are liars and they don't care about what the fans want. They only care about their political narrative and force you to like something that you will never accept. Then they insult you by calling you names because you don't like the product they are praising. They are the worst kind of human being. Trust the gamers that actually love playing the kind of video games you like. Those are the ones who you should listen to. Vote with your wallet and avoid this dumpster fire. Why care for a game created by a studio that is run by Neil Druckmann who is a male feminist and does not care about the fans and the people he works with.     Show us how Joel became the man he was then I mean in the first TLOU because in part 2 he is out of character.
    They killed Joel like its nothing and then we play as abby and force us to LIKE/UNDERSTAND her. Damn I even had to fight against Ellie. I died on purpose many times. Its just frustrating.

Joel’s death is not the problem, everyone knew that was something’s about to happen, but no one was expecting Naughty dog was really going to make him look like an idiot. It doesnt make sense at all considerating him a clever and sceptical man in Part I. It was like “hey my name is joel and he’s Tommy, we live over there and my password is 1234”... really dissapointed... They could’ve written a better way to kill Joel using THE SAME shocking scene, but come on, just remember he even tried to killed ellie at part1 when he saw her arm and Tess pressed him to trust in that little girl... that joel was not the real one everyone played with...… Expand

Дальше еще интереснее покажите мне хотя бы одну беременную женщину которая нормально чувствует себя на поле боя?! Это не логично с точки зрения физиологии. Геймплей однообразные, из-за большого количества повторяющихся сцен игра становится однообразной. А главное логика сюжета. Полностью потерялась. Существует уже куча игр с выбором сюжетной линии? Но знаете что? Нам дают только один выбор. Один сюжет в 2к20. Система прокачки полностью ненужная. В игре где каждый патрон на вес золота мы качаем скорострельность, все окей. Концовка полностью разочаровывает. Игра очень затянуться. Не понятная и никому не нужная история Эбби, из всего геймплея нам понадобилось 2 минуты чтобы понять не мотивацию зачем это растягивать на 15 часов тоже не понятно Я бы вернула за это деньги да кто нас спрашивает. Нас же всех гребут под одну гребенку белого натурала повторюсь не делайте игры для тебя кто в них не играет… Expand

    Hard to believe it's the same company. What the hell is this trend to intentionally disapoint fans. This is on pair with Game of Thrones season 8. And I bought PS4 to play this game I was so hyped. Please buy it second hand if you want to play it.Let's not make them believe they actually made a good game.     The real shame is that they lost the skill in crafting a good plot or telling a compelling story. This is a very common outcome in propaganda driven "art". ND delivered a boring, unpleasant experience and ruined one of the greatest gaming IPs. If only Amy Hennig was still in charge.

    The majority of game is filled up with plot holes. It’s characters, their decisions and therefore the overall story feels extremely forced. Somewhere in this mess was potential for a great story, but unfortunately it is bogged down by unnecessary side plots and baffling character choices.

    Unfortunately, the graphics are not enough to save this game from itself. There is hardly any improvement in game play (not a noticeable generational leap), the AI sucks and enemies are reused often and most of the game is walking doing nothing. The game play loop just gets straight up boring.

    You are dropped into linear levels with roaming enemies that are very dumb. Early on in the game you are treated to a wide open area that feels more free roam, but its an illusion that doesn't last long and is not repeated.

    This game killed the first part in a very disrespectful way. Terrible story, with characters which remind me of some hipster emotional low budget drama movie.

    I really don't get how all those reviewers brought this game up to a 95. The most overrated game this generation. The "critic" reviews are either fake or the reviewers are too fearful for their jobs to say how generic the game-play is and how terribly the story and characters are written.     I literally hated playing the game. A story driven game with a terrible story is terminal. Given the technical polish of the game it could be argued that the game deserves a higher rating. However since I hated every second of playing this game, the only way to give it a higher rating is to say that torturing yourself with a game (a device meant for passing free time) is somehow a good thing (if it serves some kind of nebulous artistic or higher purpose). This is nonsense.

    Likely the worst story development in gaming history... By trying to be different? Different for the sake of different create no value... very sad that the story have degenerated into such a disappointment.     Funny thing is that they try to please a certain type of audience that doesn't even play games and they **** on the people that in the end of the day are paying for their jobs.

    if they really want me to like the new character, i'm so sorry, they have to do much much much more than that, that was a very poor attempt, and really bad directing.

The original game The Last of us was a really great game the perfect balance between everything in a game that game really touched the hearts of many people.They fell them self in game they would do the Same what Joel did to save Ellie that made the game phenomenal. The gameplay is serviceable, it isn't groundbreaking in any way and changes very little from the phenomenal first game, but there's nothing wrong with it, it works. Graphics and the overall atmosphere are great, no argument here. However, the neglect shown to the story in a story-driven game absolutely baffles me. It's not even about the fan service and the fact that many people hated to see Joel die. It's about the cheap plot tools that the devs use to get emotions out of you. In the first game, your reaction to the game was natural, here, I was mostly sighing and rolling my eyes, because of course I have to kill a dog and of course she is pregnant (there are like 3 instances of this happening btw). As a standalone game, where you weren't familiar with the characters and the world, TLOU2 might have actually been a better game. But whether Druckmann and ND wanted it or not, this game is a sequel and thus will be compared to its predecessor. And as a successor, The Last of US 2 fails miserably.… Expand

How can you spend 6 years making a game and you don’t realize that you’re making an awful story. 4 people write this story. 4. What a joke. A 5 year old would have wrote a better story. First, you kill Joel, the most likeable character of TLOU1. Then they make us play with her killer, and not only that but they try to make us sympathize with her. What the hell were they thinking? Like no one cares about her, and her “redemption” story. Abby’s character is poorly written too like the whole game. I’ve never seen a person change her whole mindset in 48 hours. It’s unbelievably poor. Cheap and lazy writing.

    Then...none of the characters are likeable, not a single one. The only likeable left was Tommy and they didn’t give the importance that he deserved, and then at the end of the story he just disappears like he was no one.

    The new characters and their sub-stories are really boring and they’re just an excuse to make the game longer. The ending is one of the worst endings I’ve seen in my life. The whole story never makes sense, like Abby and Ellie kill a bunch of people that have nothing to do with them but when they can kill each other to get their “revenges”, all of a sudden they get all pacifist and let each other live. It’s not the story about revenge or what? What kind of **** “revenge” is that?

    What bothers me the most is people trying to bring deep thoughs or get into the psychology of the characters to justify that the story is good. The story is anything but deep. It’s a plain story that’s been told many times before, but very poorly executed. Go play GTAIV and you will see what a good revenge game is.

    A story that is not believable within the game's own logic will never be a good story. TLOU2 has a lousy story that is filled with bad decisions and executions. I give a 1 out of 10 to the story. Despite all the love I have for the first game, this one seems like it’s not a sequel at any time and is an insult to the original story.    … Expand

    Thank you personally to Druckmann that my 7 years of waiting were in vain. Great picture, but the gameplay is not for the 30 hour game. It’s better to keep silent about the plot. It is a pity that such an excellent work of animators and artists will be remembered for such a dull game

    This is simply an awful, awful game. I thoroughly enjoyed the previous TLOU game, but they managed to both ruin the gameplay sections of the game as well as the story elements of the game with some terrible writing, especially towards the end.

    I will give credit to good accessibility options. That's it.
