Абсолютно не раскрытые персонажи, которые не вызывают ни капли сопереживания. Недосказанность и нелогичность преследует нас всю игру. Очень спорный момент с жестокостью, тут с ней явно перебор, что безусловно даёт крутую атмосферу, но выглядит как какой-то фетиш создателей.
    Очень обидно за эту игру, столько стараний вложено в проект, а получилось не понятно что.
    Игра должна была стать великой, не решись они на такой эксперимент. Многие хвалят за такую смелость, я же не вижу в этом ничего хорошего. Фанатов жестоко обманули, обещая им в трейлерах одно, а продавая совершенно другое.
    ЛГБТ повестка не делает игру хуже или лучше, на неё абсолютно плевать.
    Хотелось бы хорошей истории, с нашими любимыми персонажами, но этого мы уже не получим. Надеюсь они не станут делать продолжение, потому что этой игрой убили всю франшизу. Те кто пишут что наслаждаются игрой несмотря на сюжет, очень вам завидую. Но я считаю что сюжет стоит на первом месте, хорошая история может перекрыть все остальные грехи (to the moon тому пример). Здесь же наоборот, сюжет перекрывает все остальные плюсы игры.
    И оспаривая главный контраргумент всех защитников игры, она плохая не из-за ЛГБТ повестки, это абсолютно неважно, она плохая из-за ужасной истории. Сюжет этой игры это надругательство над первой частью, над фанатами, кредит доверия уже не вернуть.
    Спасибо за самое сильное разочарование в жизни, тратить деньги на следующие части франшизы смысла не имеет.    … Expand

I hate Naughty Dogg for this stupid side of the story! Way worse than the first game!!! Dont buy Last of US part 2

    When to me this is a bad game it ignores your freedom of choices and free will in this game so you have different outcomes for game play it's lazy game design. In that sense I am not saying it looks bad I am saying from a graphics and game design much of the game was focused on making you do only what NEIL WANTED you to do. We were promised more from Detroit become human. GOW looks great story isn't bad but it doesn't again give you many choices YOU want to make as a player. Games need to evolve as a whole and stop giving us "pretty" games pretty doesn't equal a good game. Sure I want my games looking good but I also want good amount of frames I want good game mechanics new ways to do things add and improve on game play be able to make choice in the game. People got mad with this because with this linear game story is what matters and they killed off Joel the cool older father figure that saves Ellie. Then making religious people out to mass murders of an insane cult. Then adding trans into the game weird choice but ok the story is all that needed to be good. That is all that mattered in this game. They F it up and you don't even get to decide the outcome. The theme of humans are the real monsters falls apart since it feels completely contrived. The theme of 'revenge never pays off' falls apart since the clear villain of the game gets everything she wants by the end of it. For a better game of revenge,This is a poor game of revenge.     Trash, just straight up trash. I’m sure you’ve all seen the spoilers. This game just didn’t have any respect for the original story wise. The gameplay is fine, nothing bad about it i have to say in particular, but i played this game for the story. The continuation of the first one. And this? It’s... it’s just not it chief.

I'm going to make my own mind up, maybe the story of what leads to the spoilers would make up for main character deaths. No, no, no, it doesn't, I'm maybe 1 hour in if that, and the graphics and textures of the world are awful , the interactions with scenery is like that of a nintendo64 game. But then neil druckman whom has literally put himself in the game he has ruined literally spits on Joel as he lays there bleeding from his head, and then he thretans to shoot ellie and is only stopped but another npc. Thanks to amazon I can return this piece of crap and get my money back. Defiantly not a MUST PLAY, more of a MUST AVOID. Like spiderman 3 and the last jedi, this game has ruined what could have been a great franchise.… Expand

Part 2 the man is kill by revenge in a stupid way and the game is no longer about a cure but about a love triangle, revenge and forgiveness.
    Great graphics, good gameplay and all taken to the garbage because we still Need to talk about how stupid hummanity is whne the game had that already but it was not the main focus. Director should really look into the part 1 and see what he did.    … Expand

Not because I expected a full fan-service game where Joel and Ellie would roam the world happy together, but because of the simplistic, naive and really Preachy writing that provides the player with zero choices (e.g. alternate endings) and zero critical thinking: it feels as if there is just someone that yells "ohh look how bad revenge is", "how can you do that" the whole time you play.

    The story does not have a steady pace, the dialogues are cringy and the characters (especially the secondary ones) seem to have lost their depth ad complexity (nothing like Bill, Sam, David or Riley of the first game).
    Joel and Tommy are completely out of character (They say their names to the strangers in the first minutes, really???) and Joel's death is just anticlimactic for the shock-value of it no build-up, nothing.

    We are forced to play as Abby, a character that the game reeally insists we have to like and sympathise with (some manipulative tricks here are ridiculous- see repetitive dog-petting while Ellie only kills dogs) and her gameplay takes up about 10-12 hours, almost half of the game, at a timing where there is so much anguish for what will happen to Ellie, that you simply want to be done with it and rush it. There were zero references on that aspect of the game, a really sneaky move by Naughty Dog, probably because they would be afraid of backlash that would reduce pre-orders.

    Lastly, the ending is ridiculous. No closure, no revenge, Abby gets away after having commited her revenge, while Ellie regrets it and loses everything nonetheless. I wouldn't mind if both protagonists died and we got to see a more Shakespearean ending of nemesis for the so called circle of violence; that would at least be interesting. Instead, we get another anticlimactic moment and a mild hint for a part-three, that will be depended on the sales of the second one I am sure. Pity.    … Expand

    I think deception is a word that translate the meaning of this DLC of the first game. This is not a new TLOU game, is more like a really sick joke than a game.

    TLOU 1 is my favorite game of all time, I played it a lot, I played at least 7 times the campaign. And I just love everything about It. The mechanics of the game is simply awesome, the plot is extraordinarily immersive and beautyfull, this game make you love all the characters of it. Maria, Tommy, Bill and of course, Joel and Ellie. TLOU 1 tell the history of this duo in a simple and fantastic way, the fights against the enemies and even the discussion of Joel and Ellie is made in a way that everything fits perfect. TLOU 1 is a MASTERPIECE in the plot, in the mechanics of how the game works and how this "New World" is against everyone and obviously, how the characters are built to fit in the game.

    TLOU "Pt. 2" is the very opposite of TLOU 1, the characters are there for the hell of it, however much the mechanics and adds of this new game are really cool, like breaking windows and really modifying your weapons is insane, and the setting is amazing, as the sounds of everything. But this is a game based in the plot, and if the plot is terrible, so the game is just a piece of garbage. It starts by killing my favorite character of all time in a stupid way. JOEL EVEN SAID IN THE FIRST GAME NOT TO TRUST ANYONE, SO HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE THAT HE WOULD JUST BELIEVE IN A TOTAL STRANGER LIKE ABBY!!!! WOW NICE ONE NAUGHTY DOG!!!
    In this game, not like TLOU 1, they don't mind making you like the characters, the developers criated some flat characters and expect that you to care about them, and they expect you to be sad about their deaths, thing that we don’t care about. You are supposed to like and love the new characters, but when they die, you simply ignore it and keep playing. And in the middle of the game, you are forced to play with the killer of Joel, for 9 ****** hours. And they want you to believe that Abby is a good person by forcing events that make it seem like she really is, and of couse, in a terrible way. The final is just horrible, they make Ellie forgive Abby in a trash way, with the excuse that Ellie doesn’t want to become like Abby, Which is honestly idiotic considering everyone who was killed by Ellie. Speaking about Ellie, they took a ready-made protagonist and threw it in the trash, everything that shaped Ellie for a deep character in the first game was thrown in the trash and she turned into a dumb flat character who only thinks of revenge and nothing else. It's frustating how bad the plot of the second game is, this is not a continuation of the masterpiece that was the first game. This is nothing but a bad joke turned into a triple A game. By killing Joel, our beloved protagonist, you simply ignored all the mass of fans of the first game and stepped on your feelings.
    For new people that are playing this game, they could tell that is a great game. But in my opinion, this "sequel" is nothing more than a stupid sick joke, this thing could be called "They Laughed at Us" because the developers did it with the lovers of the first game. They think that making a SJW protagonist is a reason to make the plot horrible, while you play 30 hours of campaign suffering expecting that it ends.
    Last but no Least, there's no reason to force you to like Abby and understand her. i played all the TLOU 1 with Joel, so i love him, and i really care about him, and killing Joel will not make me happy, not at all. Killing Joel means that you ignore the hole thing that was the first game, all the relationships and moments that made Joel a fantastic character, and you put an terrible excuse that "we are goin' to make a game different from all the others". This game sure doesn't deserve the GOTY, TLOU "Pt,
    . 2", as I said a lot of times, is just a joke that need to be forgotten.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So, where should I start. I am (now was) a big fan of the 'The Last of Us' franchise. Finished the first part 2 times on PS3, 4 times on PS4. To keep it short: If you aren't sure if to buy it and never saw anything from the first Part, leave it and spend the money on something better. The gameplay is pretty nice, like the graphics. Its a story relevant game. And that's where it fails. The story is horrible and so poorly made. Its supposed to be a game of the adventure of Ellie and Joel. You play 49% Ellie, 50% Abby and poor 1% Joel. In my impression in total this game is made of 30% Ellie, 30% Abby, 30% cut scenes and 10% loading screens. That's it. I even accidentally skipped the death of Joel and just saw what happened in my second playthrough and I still don't know, what happened with Tommy, because I was and still am so annoyed of those cutscenes. Why do you make us play the killer of Joel for half of the game? Add some more backround story of Abby, before she kills Joel, so we can feel why she did that. The death of Joel is so poorly made. My tip for Naughty Dog: Remove the really poor death of Joel and sell it as a spin-off. This franchise did'nt deserve such a bad continuation. Its an absolute money waste. I pre-ordered the Collectors Edition. The Collectors Edition, content and figure is really nice, but I wasted 230€ in total for this game. My expectation was really high, when I started this game. Fun went to 0 in minutes. Just grinded for the platinum trophy (when I received it, super rare with 0.3%), packed the blu-ray back in the box and gone in the basement. Save your money, don't buy it. If you really want it, wait for a sale. Don't buy it at least for the full price.… Expand

There’s no interesting points and all SJW and LGBTQ related which is fine but I play video games to not live inside a drama and to actually feel immersed and like I’m playing a game I’m not absurdly embarrassed to be playing . People fail to understand why this game is hated by the series' own fans, let me give a quick rundown. The subject of this review focuses on one sole aspect of The Last of Us: Part II, its story.

    The Last of Us: Part II is so alienated and full of itself, it essentially imploded in the storytelling department (something which garnered fans and made the first game so notable was its compelling story). The sequel is just so problematic in so many areas.

    There's a good base from the previous game for a plot with revenge as the central theme. The game completely wasted that potential when the story's execution was botched. The build up of the plot was so lacking, most of the character's decisions made little to no sense. The narrative fails to make you truly understand these pivotal decisions in the plot, as well as align your intentions with the game's. In addition to plotholes, there just so happens to be some awkward and unnecessary, almost petty-like, dramatics that don't seem to correlate to the main plot. I can't help but feel as if it was obvious were trying to add these for extra drama and sympathy points for the characters.

    Speaking of which, the characters and their relationships felt so lackluster, and to some extent even forced upon the player. It's especially hard to empathize. Again, this is because of the story is so messy and the plot so misplaced, they threw away opportunities to develop these characters properly and essentially add more depth to the story. Mishandling these characters was just an honest mistake at this point.

    Lastly, there is the unjustified ending. Not all endings are happy ending, I know since we are dealing with The Last of Us series, but after playing through to the end it just fails to make the players feel like they've earned THAT ending. The payoff afters hours of gameplay fell short of expectations and players were robbed of, not necessarily good but, a justified ending. A good narrative would have succeeded with that. This game does not.

    Gameplay and graphics-wise the game is very good, this is its salvaging aspect. I recommend you don't play the first The Last of Us to avoid total disappointment.

    Overall, I did not enjoy The Last of Us: Part II as much as I was hoping to. In comparison to its predecessor, the game not only failed to perform on par with its most significant aspect, the story, but instead just took a big leap backwards.    … Expand

    Pero como secuela de TLOU es una soberana mierda, este tipo de juegos son aquellos cuyo 90% de valor reside en una historia y como esta es narrada, una cosa que una compañía no puede pretender es que tras, en un primer juego maravilloso, cuyo desarrollo de personajes es exquisito, nos traguemos una actitud para nada acorde en los personajes a lo que se presenta y desarrolla en el primer juego.
    Joel y su hermano son presentados como supervivientes, desconfiados, Ellie en pocas semanas de estar con Joel es consciente de que nunca hay que dar el nombre a la ligera, y en esta segunda parte hay un comportamiento totalmente incoherente por parte de los hermanos que no deja de ser una mala excusa para quitar a Joel del medio. Me parece perfecto que se quiera matar a Joel, que se haga de forma humillante, como muere el 99% de la gente de ese mundo post apocalíptico, pero porfavor que esta muerte no se sienta estúpida,es una muerte en la cual el jugador es consciente de que los personajes que una vez fueron presentados, nunca caerian.
    Por otro lado Ellie presenta una incoherencia constante, y no se trata de aquella incoherencia propia de un ser humano, hipocresia, reacciones inesperadas pero naturales, se tratan de reacciones completamente fuera de lugar para un personaje que sabemos lo que ha vivido y conocemos su caracter. Es un juego donde se abusa de perros para hacerte empatizar com Abby, al mismo tiempo que te obligan a matar canes con Ellie. Es un juego que tiene personajes que se introducen como importantes y despues de un tiro en la cabeza nunca mas hay indicio de su existencia, como Jessie. Para hacer esto, no hacia falta una segunda parte, es un **** you a los fanes y a los personajes que amabamos, porque habeis hecho una soberana mierda en cuestiones narrativas y achacais la critica a la homofobia y la alt right. History is pretty bad, try to teach you something about revenge with lack of common sense and basically the game tells that be a male is wrong and you must die or suffer for it.

Why does ellie care so much about dina if they barley got together the night before. Before that dina was dating Jesse. Even though they knew each other for about 6 years that was pure friendship. Your telling me ellie is more worried about some girl she just hooked up with the night before. She acts like the events from the first game never happened. But with some random girl that lives in the town who barley shows interest in ellie, ellie feels the need to side track and try to find what their relationship means. If anything Dina should be the one who worries about their relationship and ellie should just be focused on her mission because she knows dina has been with Jesse already and there's no telling if they have feelings for each other still. Ellie should just brush her off. Dina is just all over the place because her and jesse were off and on again in their relationship. You mean to tell me that in the 6 years that they known each other dina never got with any other girl. She just magically had feelings for ellie. Ellie's dialogue doesn't really match with her thoughts. Too uplifting, reminds me of the first one which should be totally different from this one. The characters talk about too many things from the first one. Ellie isn't cold hearted enough in some sequences where you think she would be. Ellie's interrogation scene reminds you of Joel's which you wouldn't want. You would want something more brutal. Trying too hard to make Dina important. Reason for Joel's death could have been better. Feel like they just threw in the story of her being at the hospital just to justify her reason but I would believe a bunch of fireflies trying to save the world wouldn't let anybody bring kids. You can't really feel sorry for any of abby's friends or father. Trying too hard to really make abby a likable character which truly is so bad.… Expand

    Just not a fun game to play, and when one of the biggest draws of the game is the story, it is such a kick in the balls when you see what happens in the end. Its almost as if the writer wants to prove some sort of point to all the fans of the last game. The graphics and game play were fine and even top notch but that's all the positive i can say about it.

This is a no sense and this game should never be bought buy anyone by anymeans... First The false advertisement, they advertised like Joel would be in the game a lot longer then he was by model swapping characters in the trailers if I knew that was the case I would have cancelled my pre order immediately. It is a completely scummy thing to do and before you say oh it’s a bait and switch no this is just pure lies which is no ok. Second is how they disrespected Joel the most beloved character by changing who he is you’re telling me the man who spotted a trap miles away would just give out his info to these random armed people and then center himself and make himself vulnerable? No no matter how long you live in a safe area those instincts don’t just go away it’s just poor writing on naughty dogs part. Then they make you feel like Joel is a bad guy for what he did to the surgeon who forced Joel’s hand. It’s made to seem like such a forced back story. The surgeon holds a scalpel up to and armed man trying to save Ellie. He sealed his own fate when he did that. Plus joe made the right call if you watch game theory’s video on Joel’s choice it’s well explained that the surgery is the worst choice possible in the first place and the vaccine would never work so Ellie would have died for nothing. The next problem is they make Ellie look like a villain, her seeking of revenge makes her look more and more evil by making her kill animals and the pregnant girl with Owen even though they both forced Ellie’s hand but you’re still made to feel guilty for it all. Then the unnecessary death Jessie because Ellie just leaves the map the screams here’s our base at the scene where she killed abbys friends just so it can be found just more lazy writing. By adding McGuffins at every turn in the story. The third huge problem is forcing us to play as Abby for Half the game, the person who killed Joel. I did not spend 60 dollars to hear about a story I could care less about. It is obvious they try so hard to make you like her by making her the good guy just after she tortured Joel for who knows how long. Joel killed her father quick he didn’t make him suffer for a long time like the psycho Abby. They make her look good by loving animals and helping two people get out from the trouble they are in and make her seem like such a loving and caring person. She was a poorly written character that was made to make you like her and make you feel bad for her. If they put even half the time into making the story line about Ellie and Joel like everyone wanted instead of making such a boring story about a new character no one wanted to know about there wouldn’t be so much hate for the game. Now they ending is what makes this game just so unbearable. Ellie and Dina have a good life they are finally happy. But they make Tommy into an ass just to guilt trip Ellie into getting revenge again. Ellie leaves everything behind to hunt Abby again making her look like the villain once again. Then when you finally find her they don’t even give you the satisfaction of getting your revenge Ellie is left maimed and Abby gets to go free Ellie returns to find Dina has left and Ellie is all alone. She finds Joel’s guitar and can’t play it due to her injuries instead of taking one of the only things she has left of him she leaves it behind and we have no closure for any parts of the story that we started. What happened to Dina and the baby? Where will Ellie go now? What about Tommy? Hell even their golden child Abby doesn’t get closure. If the game had just ended when Ellie and Dina would have settled down and Abby would have walked away I could have been happy with that ending it’s close for Ellie it’s the life she wanted but they had to destroy everything they built in the two games within an hour span. To me this game was lazy and instead of focusing on the character they should have they put their time into a new character who no one cared about and who isn’t the embodiment of the game series. The bond between Ellie and Joel was what made the first one so amazing but taking that all away within two how’s and making Ellie look like a villain towards Joel in the last moments together it just makes the game feel like a chore to complete. Now gameplay and visuals are great but I bought the game just for the story I knew from the first the gameplay would be fine and to me it was a spit in the face to what was truly loved about the first game. I was praying all game it would just be some big dream because honestly as much as I hate those endings it would have been 100 times better then what we got. Just save your money and stay away from the game I wish I could return it but it’s too late.… Expand

When trying to “change the world” maybe make sure you’re not actually setting the movement back. This was a game where you cared and loved the main characters, not a Game of Thrones book. Stop spoon feeding your audience B.S and they will respect your future games and stories. Try to make your game a life lesson and soon you have less games being sold. El juego va bien hasta cierto punto, pero después se vuelve tedioso y solo quieres terminarlo rápido y creo no ser el único que piensa lo mismo, además la historia está contada de una forma pésima, introduciendo flashbacks de repente y a veces un flashback dentro de otro flashback, esto último me parece lo peor del juego (sin mencionar la IA) ya que es una forma muy poco intuitiva de comprender la historia y muy básica para ser un juego que tomó 7 años de desarrollo… Expand

    The story of the game is so bad, characters are very empty, everything is illogical, if you bought you’ll only get the graphics which will be boring after 1 hour of playing.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Ellie and joel are completely out of character, naughty dog false advertised us in their s*tty trailers, selling this game off as an adventure of joel and ellie, while joel gets killed off at the very beginning of the game.
    Naughty dog literaly abused joel to bait us, to suck our money out our pockets, cause they knew nobody wouldve bought the game if we, the audience, the fanbase knew ,the game was about emo- ellie and gorilla-abby. Also they made him dump and naive af, because they didnt come up with any better ideas of creating a plot. none of the characters choices made any sense and the ending also makes no sense at all, this is abuse and violation to the name of the last of us.
    i dont even wanna give one single point to the graphics or the gameplay because after the story and the characters got raped like that, neither the graphics or the gameplay make any difference at this point    … Expand

In TLOU1 Joel doesn’t trust anybody and doesn’t give out his name to most people, in TLOU2 he trusts everyone and he doesn't act like his original character. Then lets talk about the ending. Ellie goes on a massive killing spree only for Ellie to spare Abby. And I hate how Abby says Lev isn’t “apart of this” nor was Tommy and she intentionally tried to kill Tommy by shooting him in the head. Jesse wasn’t in it either. Bad game, Trash sequel.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. les guste o no a la gente fanática de tlou el juego no es bueno, o no los es como pensábamos todos como iba a ser, neil nos dejó con la vara muy alta, UNA DE LAS RAZONES del porque El juego es malo por la poca importancia y participación de el protagonista de básicamente el universo de tlou, la historia que nos quiere presentar un ciclo de venganza y una enseñanza mediocre de que la venganza no es buena como excusa de porque van muriendo personajes tan buenos como los cercanos de abby y de ellie, a medida de que avanza el juego, te das cuenta de detalles muy lgtb no es malo pero no viene con el juego según yo, te hacen pasarte como un segundo juego la historia de la asesina de joel Obligándote a querer empatizar con ella, si hubiera cada historia de una víctima de joel y alguien cercano queriendo venganza estaríamos prácticamente para 20 the last of us y lo sabes, lo cuál eso hace la historia de abby inservible, añadiendo que el juego dura el doble mayormente por la historia rebuscada de abby, todo un problema para que tommy le termine agarrando mala a ellie o quedó medio loco después del disparo, como dina abandonándola, como dejando atrás a joel como si hubiera sido solo una etapa en su vida, que final es ese? No es un final que queremos y tampoco merecemos, gráficamente y personajes nada que decir pero se pasaron todo el tlou 1 uno por abajo, y si, el tlou parte uno y parte dos tienen harto que ver es una secuela....pero como secuela no tiene nada que ver, la secuela era sobre la mentira de joel descubierta no una ellie buscando venganza terminando mal de la cabeza,además que hay fallos de guión como por ejemplo porqué abby no pensó en ni siquiera preguntar y escuchar la versión de joel y nosotros estamos obligados a tragarnos su historia para entender obligadamente su versión,ellie se queda sola y es por lo mismo, porque no pudo cerrar un ciclo, además de que si ellie hubiera dejado de lado su sed de venganza abby estaría probablemente muerta amarrada a un tronco, por la única razón de que ella esté viva es gracias a la sed de venganza de ellie, el juego tiene fallos de historia, es malo, punto y final… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The ending was weak. The writing was extremely heavy handed and nearly every character breaks character just to drive the plot forward at one point or another, often in disappointing and extremely uninteresting ways.

    I could forgive the ideological brow beating like acrobatic pregnant women and hulking apocalyptic female bodybuilders if the overall storyline was handled with respect, but I don't think it was.

    This is yet another example of hipster writers botching a beloved franchise by "subverting expectations" instead of telling a story. I don't think feminism ruined the game, but it didn't help.

    Not worth playing, the mechanics are exactly the same as the first.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
