    I just cannot believe how badly executed this storyline was. The graphics were beautiful, the gameplay was smooth (for the most part) the character design was beautiful, but when I got to the end I had the same empty and confused feeling like I did when I watched the last season of game of thrones.     rubbish , and a slap in the face to TLOU fans. im just going to play part 1 or res evil 2 , which is 100 times better and the game play was never that great on the last of us , it was the story and without that , well kinda rubbish and overpriced.

    I saw that the Last of Us was getting a sequel at ArtStation. I was seriously impressed at the making of the Trailer and the end result. Though.. the character designs already looked _very_ odd. Of course everybody can go just look at some gameplay of the game or you could read the **** leaks, to just conclude... it is horrid. The story is like there's NO story. So yeah, **** off with that "BuTcH FeMaLeS " **** And yes, I know it's mostly women who think and want those fantasies in the game, or soy men. People should learn not go after every **** thought or desire and think "it must be true!" To say, I think this presentation of a game proves how ****ty they are nowadays and only for money grabbing and treating your workers horrible. Seriously, games are a waste of time and this is what we get by waiting for years and we also get only remakes and remasters. People pretend to enjoy those... Making us play as Abby and killing Joel in the beginning of the game is insane. The story is so awful that I wasn’t even able to complete the game. I have never seen a game make a story and playable character based on a completely random npc from the previous game. The agenda that this game pushed will ruin games for years to come. I want to see the story of Joel and Ellie not some random lady who has ridiculous muscles for the apocalypse. There are no redeeming qualities from this game.… Expand

    Seriously, NaughtyDog? What happened to you guys? This game got me depressed. Take notes from Rockstar on how to kill a main character and make it heartfelt. The graphics and sound design are breathtaking but what good are they, if you can't bring the one thing that binds them together- story, out properly. Such a shame.

I get the trying to humanize her and all that, but 12 bloody hours is way too long. I didn’t buy the game because I hate Ellie so why would I want to play against her. The story was fine when it had to do with Ellie but other than that it was bad. Fine the background scenes were pretty, but the gameplay is the same as the first game. Oh wait they added some taller grass. Why isn’t there multiplayer? Don’t give me this we worked so hard crap, it’s been 7 years. Mate I could have created a game in that time, hell I fixed the story line with a few tweaks to abbys character in 10 min. Anyways not a great game, no real changes from the first in terms of gameplay, and the story was terrible. Joel dying is fine, even not killing Abby at the end alright, but making me play as her for half the game on a storyline that isn’t Ellie based f that. W… Expand

    7 años esperando para esta historia irrisoria e irreconocible para esta saga, mal ejecutada y con personajes totalmente olvidables. Un juego al que le sobran 12 horas tranquilamente y que de tan malo hace que el primero pierda valor. Lo único bueno es la ambientación y la música, ahí si se nota que hay un responsable con Oscar de por medio.

    Certain new characters have so much plot armor that you have to question wether or not the writers were focusing on “gritty realism” as they claim they were.
    The ending is one of the least cathartic, most pretentious and nihilistic piece of gaming media I’ve seen in a while, especially considering how little sense it makes due to the actions of the main characters at that point, whoever wrote it should be fired... Oh,wait.

    Gameplay wise, it’s basically a glorified copy paste of the last game with some added upgrade options and way more linearity.

    Overall the game would be fun but the story does ruin the whole experience, which is to be expected in a story driven third person shooter.

The story doesn't work, I see what devs try to do, but the pacing, the choices that characters do conflict with what they where on the last game. The pacing showing Abby's backstory after they killed a beloved character and then making the player, play as her. It is a stupid choice in my opinion. The ending is trash because you make Ellie sacrifice his family, even his 2 fingers just to not finish the job. I recommend people to play another thing, or if you still wanna play it, wait for it to be on sale because this game is not worth 60 dollars.… Expand

    História decepcionante e não tem multiplayer pra aumentar o tempo de jogo. Desperdício do meu dinheiro, não valeu nada a pena.
    Disappointing story and no multiplayer to further game time. Waste of my money, it wasn't worth it at all.

    Not to be unfair, I can say that the graphics are fantastic and the gameplay is great (it's a delight to play).

    But this game is based on story. And the story is a disaster.

    A lot of people complain about Joel's death, but I see that as a good start for this part II, except for the fact that the survivor of the previous hardships plays the role of a muggle and dies like an idiot. No fan could stand that.

    The rest of the story would be good, if it weren't for the unbearable dose of social justice. No one cares if Ellie is a lesbian or if there are transsexuals in the game, but when the whole story is used to instill in the public’s head that men suck and Christians are horrible, it’s clear that politics was the most important and the fun was set aside. And we don't have fun.

    You see, there are no surviving men. Just a crippled Tommy and Abby (who is officially not a transsexual, but...). The main villains (everyone is villain, there are no heroes) are worshippers of woman (a kind of she-Jesus. Maybe another transexual?). And so on ...

    Then in the end what should have been the spectacular sequence of one of my favorite games takes this huge ZERO    … Expand

    When you force political correctness in a game like TLOU2, it is one of the worst things you can do as a game publisher when to break the entire game regarding feeling/immersion for the game. For some reason Naughty Dog still was able to do this. They tried to do it in a subtle way with the story telling, but the forcing way of introducing transgenders (and other PC stuff) as normal andWhen you force political correctness in a game like TLOU2, it is one of the worst things you can do as a game publisher when to break the entire game regarding feeling/immersion for the game. That is so totally out of character for Joel. And force to play Abby. What a **** waste of time! I don't even like her. Why can't they just develop on Joel's and Ellie's relationship moving forward.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
