    A technical masterpiece, really high levels of visuals and gameplay. But that's it. The plot is horrible, players are force fed with meaningless violence, woke and sjw narrative, it is more like a political campaign disguised as an AAA game. As good as TLOU was plot wise, this is just DISGUSTING CRAP. I hope Neil an Anita die a really painful death, for killing off one of my all timeA technical masterpiece, really high levels of visuals and gameplay. But that's it. The plot is horrible, players are force fed with meaningless violence, woke and sjw narrative, it is more like a political campaign disguised as an AAA game.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Did naughty dog forget how to make games or something. My God this just feels like a giant middle finger to the fans of the first game. I read the gamestop article about how you'd be hunted by dogs and then naughty dog said if you play the game a certain way and stay in stealth you wouldn't have to kil any dogs. This wasn't true. I play it stealthily but had to kill a dog in a quick time event. I know if your reading this you probably won't give a **** about that, so I'll move on to the story. The whole cycle of revenge arc is the most stupid plot I've ever seen in a game. The fact that at the end Ellie gives up on revenge, but still loses two fingers, dina leaves her and I doubt tommy would want to take her in seeing as she still didn't kill abby. Abby, on the other hand basically got away with murder. Sure she was strung up and nearly starved but she got away didn't she? While even though her friends all died, most of them she ended up hating,and she gets to sail away and start a new life. I mean, the message of the game is that revenge is bad, but it just proves the opposite. Abby, who got her revenge at the start gets to start a new life wherever she goes. Ellie has nothing. She let go of revenge which was the right thing to, do(even though I would have killed abby) and it feels like she's being punished. Which brings me to the last scene:just before the last flashback of joel, where you play guitar for the last time, the way the guitar doesn't play properly because you can only play with two fingers feels like and insult. It feels like naughty dog were laughing when they made this scene. Honestly, I didn't get the game on the ps3, I got the remaster, but does that make me any less of a fan? Maybe, but I played bad video games before, and they were all goty compared to this piece of ****… Expand

    Abby and Lev are incredibly boring in addition to being a Joel and Ellie 2.0, PS: It was not necessary to put so much flashback that they do not explain anything besides how much sex the characters have, it has a horrible pre pubert essence, you have to be between 13 to 15 years and your pants are burning for sex so you like it

    The plot of TLOU2 is absolute diarrhea. Joel dies 2 hours into the game after naively going into the house of total strangers (being an old and experienced survivor in the apocalypse we'd expect some brighter thinking), beaten to death with a golf club by the super buff and masculine Abby, whose life he saved from the infected not 5 minutes earlier, because he killed her father who was a surgeon of the fireflies. All in front of Ellie who later leaves for Seattle, where Abby came from, in search for revenge.
    The problem is that Ellie never gets her revenge because, when she's finally about to kill Abby after Abby bit two fingers off of her hand, she has a flash of Joel playing the guitar and that stops her. This happens some time after Abby had killed Jesse, shot Tommy in the face and almost cut Dina's throat in the same event. Yes, it's just as dumb as it sounds...
    The game forces you to play a 10 hour section as Abby from when her father was still alive to the point when she kills Jesse and shots Tommy. Up next there's a boss fight against Ellie and you have to beat her up using Abby's steroid fueled fists until Dina comes to the rescue with a knife (apparently she forgot she had a gun) and is shot in the shoulder by Lev, the little girl who identifies as a boy or whatever. Again it's just as dumb as it sounds.
    The whole story really is about Ellie killing people for revenge and feeling bad about it and Abby being generally a bad person, having sex with a guy who has a pregnant wife (disgusting scene by the way) and later killing her own WLF friends and acquaintances to save Lev's life.
    So not only Joel was killed in a disgraceful manner and you'll barely get 90 minutes of gameplay with him but you'll be forced to play as the genuinely unlikable, ruthlessly bad and masculine looking woman who killed him and the game will try so hard to make you feel for her by showing you her perspective. And to make matters worse, she doesn't die in the end (thought that was the Ellie's purpose?).

    I watched the leaks when they came out so I knew about Joel's death and everything but, as the game is about 25 hours long, I gave it the benefit of the doubt thinking that would fit the narrative and Naughty Dog wouldn't mess up the game so badly but that's exactly what happened.
    To be fair the game has lots of significant improvements in terms of graphics and gameplay but in my opinion they are overshadowed by the terrible story which is so full of plot holes, uninteresting, badly written and incredibly boring. I also hated to play as Abby and particularly Ellie boss fight so much that I finished the game only because I spent money.
    If you don't mind the plot I think you'll enjoy TLOU2, but I didn't so I've uninstalled it and I'll give it a 0 for making me sorry I wasted my money on this crap.    … Expand

    Lo mejor:

    - La jugabilidad mantiene y expande el ya visto en la primera parte, muy dinámico y divertido.

    - La banda sonora

    - Flashbacks de Ellie entre el primer y el segundo juego.

    Lo peor:

    - La historia es mala con ganas, aparentando de una profundidad a partir de clichés típicos de cualquier película del montón. Intenta abarcar muchos temas y personajes con diferentes sensibilidades, pero sin llegar a profundizar en los personajes de la manera que podemos apreciar en la primera parte, incluso quitando algo de veracidad.

    - El uso de un segundo personaje durante la mitad de la historia, personaje con el que yo nunca la disfrute ni conecte con ella, con una historia tediosa y sin mucha importancia durante la mayor parte para la trama principal. Forzando la evolución del personaje de forma inverosímil para poder recrear una simpatía parecida al de la primera parte (yo personalmente solo disfrute de esta parte cuando la mataban).

    - El final es un completo despropósito y sin sentido, solo con unos cambios en los acontecimientos se podría haber conseguido un final bastante épico, dando un sentido profundo al mensaje sobre la venganza y sus consecuencias.

    - La IA de los enemigos no ha mejorado lo que me hubiera gustado, en difícil me ha parecido bastante fácil excepto un enemigo final.

    En general, el juego es un escupitajo al legado de la primera parte, olvidándose la narrativa que cautivo a todos los jugadores. Yo personalmente no lo recomiendo, todo y que la jugabilidad es divertida, la historia o los personajes te dejan todo el rato un amargo sabor de boca. En mi caso, lo venderé a la que pueda y intentaré olvidarlo lo antes posible, para mí el final de la saga se queda en la primera parte. El juego deberia tener mas valor general mas alto de hecho, pero le pongo la nota mas baja posible de forma de protesta.    … Expand

What big studios are consistently revealing, whether it be with regard to movies or games, is that they ultimately do not understand what made fans come to love their series in the first place.

    Great visuals/graphics (in games) or    Disappointing beyond words. The Last of Us can now join Star Trek, Star Wars, etc. in the graveyard of once beloved series and much anticipated sequels. What big studios are consistently revealing, whether it be with regard to movies or games, is that they ultimately do not understand what made fans come to love their series in the first place.

    Great visuals/graphics (in games) or special effects (in film) cannot compensate for competent storytelling and treatment of characters. And at various points, if you pay sufficient attention to character motivation and established traits, you will find yourself utterly baffled by the sheer amount of out-of-character behavior.

    I'll give the political dimension of the game some more detailed discussion. I'll preface by saying that I identify with a number of liberal/progressive/what some might call "social justice warrior" causes (I happen to be a minority myself). But even though I think these are good causes, that does not mean I enjoy being preached to or impelled to think a certain way. The tone of this game approaches preachiness at various points and REGARDLESS of what the message is, for people who think critically, there is NOTHING more likely to provoke an instinctive backlash than telling people how they ought to think.

    Diversity in media is a good thing, but the treatment of the characters in this game, who unarguably represent a range of diverse identities, is almost insultingly shallow and superficial. They remain largely uncharacterized and undeveloped beyond the single trait which the writers apparently think will suffice to speak for their whole person. If they were to try it all over again, I'd tell the studio to go for quality over quantity. Focus on investing your "X character" with more depth and dimensionality than "well he's the X character." Games and movies which choose not to develop their characters in these more nuanced ways may in fact harm more than help the causes they believe they are championing.

    I would probably give this game a -2 or -1 if that was possible, as I feel as though I actually lost something from my experience. Since that's not possible, a zero will have to do.    … Expand

    Finally done!! This Game is ok if you're only seeking Graphics and Gameplay. The story line and plot to insert a new character really ruined this experience for me. I just don't understand how you could have 7 years to Create something memorable and enjoyable for your supporters and totally drop the ball. Ima very disappointed in the mediocre gameplay and Horrible storyline. Just glad myFinally done!! This Game is ok if you're only seeking Graphics and Gameplay. And I think this is what frustrates me the most about this game. it feels as though this game hasn't been developed for entertainment, but to force an agenda into your face under the guise of a video game.     This game is perfect for you if you don't care about the story and the characters, for me this is the worst story I have ever see . I wish Neil Druckmann wouldn't interferes with the writing ever. I feel sad for those who brought it thinking of a great story .

    The plot could have worked. But you cant skip essential parts. Like first when your "protagonist" (abby) make the decision to kill cruel you must first let us give her motivation, you must make that we really feel her emotion and can understand her decision for revenge and only to say her dad was that NPC surgeon we kill in the first game is not good enough.

    Cagaron la historia en un juego donde lo principal es la historia. Sin la historia todo lo demás no sirve. Y aclaro que no tiene nada que ver la Inclusión. La historia es una mierda enorme. Y dicen que vendió millónes de copias, claro, pues fueron las copias que pre-ordenaron, si se hubiera enterado de la tremenda mierda de juego que es deseguro nadie lo compraria.

    I am not hear to bash the game or indeed elevate it because I am on any side but i'll leave this here.

    The game is not so terrible it really isn't, sure some things in the story just don't seem to add up but I guess I can forgive that. The issues however are many and I will try to explain.     Graphics: yes they seem nice especially the outside visuals of landscapes but faces at times seem utterly weird and not in keeping with the rest of the game. When I see people say the graphics are 10/10 i just laugh because there are some really poor ones.

    Gameplay: It is I am afraid to say quite dated in the way it works but the worst thing is the jump system which seems to fail for no reason and they even include a easy jump version in the controls. This should tell you that they knew it was bad but decided to do nothing about that.
    The game had some very boring parts in my humble opinion and just seemed to be there to stretch the game out.

    Sound: Very nice and I cant say too much negative about it

    All in all not a bad game but a disappointment none the less, If ND wanted to make a political statement they should have done so via twitter because some of this stuff does not need to be in games. Woke culture is bleeding into too much stuff these days. The way ND and Sony handled the leak was terrible but that does not effect my score at all.    … Expand

    Joel die in a stupid way, then when you use Ellie to revenge, next second, Bang, you need to control Abby for 10 hours and bit up Ellie.
    Finally, can you kill Abby? NO, Ellie decide to forget Abby. So, Ellie end up losing 2 fingers, go back to an empty house, cant even play the guitar which Joel gave her.
    So that mean, Abby revenge is Okay, Ellie revenge is Bad?

    História péssima, acabou com o jogo pqp sem maldade, o gráfico é bom, a jogabilidade nem tanto (opinião). Fora que o jogo veio cheio de bugs, mas pelo menos não foi clichê igual a bosta do primeiro, mas continua uma bosta também, se fosse multi plataforma ou exclusivo do Xbox, ninguém iria pagar pal, muito menos hypar isso, só falam por que tem a "capinha azul"

Man, Neil Druckmann ruined this game, he completely **** up this game. First he kills at the very beginning your favorite character in a very nonsense and stupid way. Next he makes you play with the girl that assassinated Joel. And finally when Ellie have killed dozens of people that have nothing to do with Joel to get where Abby is, Ellie don't ****ing kill her, because she realized that revenge is bad??? Wtf Neil Druckmann, why the **** dose she has to realize that after killing dozens of people before Abby? So you want to teach me a lesson that revenge is bad but only if you kill the person that you want to kill? So you are telling me that killing all of the ****ing friends of the person that you want to kill is not bad and killing dozens of people to get to Abby is not bad, BUT killing Abby is bad?? Man, you should not be a writer jajajajaja. The fact that there are some people that are "loving" the game and story make you realize that there are allot of clowns in this world, and others that have no integrity in themselves and say anything for money or for not be political wrong.
