    the worst story ever told in a game if you can even call it a story from how bad it is, and one of the main characters (Joel) just gets killed of when the game have barely begun and in the lamest way too, don't buy this game, save your money for a title that's actually worth it.

    This game got fantastic landscapes and city sides and some good moments in storytelling which return us to the times of the original story, but the rest is absolutely awful mostly the story because game-play is same as in the first part, but stretched for 30 hours.

    Ellie, the MC is on a quest for revenge after Joel gets killed by Abby, proceeds to kill dozens of people in her quest, and then ends up NOT KILLING THE ONE PERSON THAT SHE WANTED REVENGE ON and gets mutilated for life for her trouble and ends up alone and sulking. Nothing is resolved. Everyone ends up sad and alone. The END.

    It's like the makers of this game hates you and the world and want you to end up hating the world as much as they do and want to destroy every shred of legacy the first game had and every shred of fun you'd have. I'd give this game a negative score if I could.    … Expand

    A clear lesson that people do not want to be preached to, or to have their games made by idiots who listen to misandristic witches.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After playing the game and watching others play it, I must say that this game is probably the biggest letdown in gaming for me personally. This game was actually so bad to me that I created an account to express my displeasure.

    Admittedly, the game does have some good aspects to it, good graphics, VA, music, and the gameplay is good if you enjoyed the first TLOU gameplay. However, if you found the gameplay of the first game to be mediocre or bad, do not expect anything new from this game, most of the changes are purely cosmetic.

    The problems:
    Before I get into the atrocious story, I want to first talk about some of the glitches that occur in the game that many people seem to overlook. Kill/execution animations do not play out correctly (models would seemingly disappear), camera problems during interactions, and not being able to fire my gun during scripted segments of the game. Just to name a few.

    This game also has many "walking simulator" areas, just walking without end and nothing really happening. It starts to take away from the story and bore the player.

    I also wanted to discuss the discrepancy in the trailers compared to the game. In the trailer, you will see Joel with a big beard and looking much older than he does in-game, this is because they wanted to make it look like he has a bigger role in the game. Most of the scenes that feature Joel in the trailer are flashbacks in the game and looks younger in-game. There is also one scene in the trailer where Joel catches up with Ellie, in the game, it's a completely different person. Some pretty shady stuff if you ask me.

    The story is the biggest problem of this game. In TLOU 1, the story was the focal point of the game, the created bond between Joel and Ellie to form a father-daughter relationship. Part 2 throws that everything that TLOU 1 created for shock value (killing Joel), to make way for a character named Abby. If you liked the first game for its story at all you will probably not like her as she is Joel's killer. You are then forced to play as her for about roughly 60% of the game (25 hours long by the way) in the game's attempt to make you sympathize with her. If you are someone like me who wanted her dead, that also sucks for you because Ellie's revenge campaign against Abby ends in sparing her life while losing two fingers in the process.

    This game has a basic revenge story that uses Joel's death to start the entire story tries to sell the "revenge is a vicious cycle" trope and how people should try and seek forgiveness in others regardless of what they have done. This would be slightly better if Abby was in any way likeable but still, it is a weak plotline.

    This bad story also has more problems given bad character development, plot holes, and holes in the decision making of a character.

    A few examples:
    - Joel and Tommy who have survived at least 3 decades follow random strangers into a trap after saving Abby.
    - Ellie, in a cutthroat post-apocalyptic world, spares Abby after killing countless amounts of people including some of her own men. Ellie will even execute Abby in the aquarium fight if you mess up but has a change of heart at the end?
    - Dina, who was Ellie's partner for a while, abandons Ellie at the end of the game for no apparent reason.
    - Tommy suffers a gunshot to the head and survives despite being in the middle of nowhere with little medical treatment (granted, I am ok with this happening, but still is a plot hole nonetheless).
    - A member of an opposing faction saves Abby from certain death.
    - They give Abby many superficial opportunities to look like a good person.

    I am aware that TLOU 1 had plot holes as well, but there were fewer instances and it did not affect character development.

    What the developers do not realize is that yes, there are two sides to every coin, but many people have already picked their side. You can't just have Abby kill Joel and think that she will be redeemed by showing off all the good stuff she has done.

    The worst part about this whole thing is that I personally didn't think that The Last of Us needed a sequel, and this game trying to justify its existence makes it that much worse.

    In my honest opinion, I think this game is a 4-5/10, but the people controlling Metacritic are fixing the reviews so I'm making this a 0/10.

    Please do not buy this game, it will show developers that they can get away with **** writing and little to no improvements to a game just because its predecessor was a masterpiece.    … Expand

Let's be crystal clear, I do not care about Ellie's sexual preferences or whatsoever. What matters to me are 2 things: gameplay and story. Graphics are incredible, it's beautiful, there is absolutely nothing to say about Art Direction: it's epic, flawless. This game is one of the most beautiful there is. My PS4 Pro was coughing like never before but hey, for a game this beautiful, it's a fair price.

    Gameplay was very nice; I loved the first TLOU's gameplay also, I liked the stealth, fighting, puzzles, etc. It was great and different from what I've seen before. TLOU2 brings more mechanics to the gameplay: abilities to crawl in the grass, to break windows, etc. There are new monsters, terrifying for some (I think its name is the Rat King), dogs that can smell you and find you, and unlimited knife for Ellie. Again, the gameplay is nice, you can infiltrate and be sneaky as you wish. It's fun and playing as Ellie was a pleasure, even if there are still these problems : this door is locked, must get around, there are traps/monsters/ enemies around. The game is way too long about that, it's kinda repetitive and boring in the end. It's a revenge story that you finish after 30 hours. It's too long ! Also, the NPC that accompany you can teleport anywhere and it's not very realistic. It's idiotic. There are a few bugs but it's the first week. I finished the game but won't see the correctives, as I will not play it again.

    About the story. This is the cancer part. What the hell is wrong ? I admit that killing Joel was extremly shocking and risky, and it was necessary to develop a revenge story. Joel is killed by relatives of the Fireflies he executed when he needed to save Ellie, back in St Mary's Hospital in Salt Lake City. So, Ellie hunts the group and manage to kill them, one by one, until the big cheese; ABBY. Abby is the one that terminated Joel. Therefore, she's the biggest villain. The evil one. After Ellie managed to kill most of the group, except Abby, she's convinced by Tommy and Jesse to stop and go back home. But that's when Abby attacks Ellies group, shoots Tommy and threatens Ellie !

    And what does Naughty dog do at this exact moment ? They force players to play Abby, so we can see what she was doing after killing Joel ! What the h*ll ? What's wrong with you ? Where on Earth do you think the life and feelings of a murderer would interest me ? And play with this character for a good 6 hours !? Seriously ? What's going on ? Nothing Abby could do will repair what she's done ! Spare us those useless 6 hours and let's go to the final fight ! Let's talk about this "final fight" (which wasn't, because this game is absurdly looong); we still play as Abby ! So the player must attack the character they learned to love and protect for 7 years in TLOU ! That cretinism here is absolutely devastating. At this fight, I let Abby die countless times, because for me the game was over and Ellie got her revenge ! Fin ! But no, that's not what ND had planned. Instead, Abby kicks Ellie's ass and leaves. Seriously ?

    And after what was thought to be the epilogue with Ellie, we play as Abby once more, and she's captured... Really ? And what does good Ellie do ? She leaves her gf to... help Abby. Seriously. There is a mental sickness behind this story. So, after she freed Abby, I thought it was done but there was a light of hope : Ellie starts a fight with Abby. Yes ! I thought. That's it, at last. Finally this game will be good. Mistake of mine ! Because Ellie forgives Abby "because she forgave Joel". What. The. F*ck. Absolute nonsense.

    Imagine watching Kill Bill without Bill getting killed. Nonsense. That's TLOU2. And it saddens me more than I ever could imagine. I'll sell that game asap.    … Expand

    Buenos gráficos, si... también una jugabilidad aceptable. Yo creo que es un juego muy sobrevalorado por una prensa que esta comprada. Y lo peor de todo. Es un juego en el que los creadores han usado la política de izquierdas, y temas como el feminismo, y la inclusión.

Its a 0 because of how disrespectful it is to the masterpiece that came before it, and it is also so spiteful to the audience, as if it’s trying to give fans a crash course on how to ruing a legacy. I don’t have to go into detail about what exactly is wrong with this game, that would just be another drop in the ocean of people on the internet explaining this unholy mess. I’m writing this for every normal person considering of spending their hard earned money on this: don’t. Go on YouTube and watch the thousands of videos explaining why this game fails as a whole. The lesson is flat and childish. The game tortures you with its characters and payoffs. It actively tries to get you to stop playing. I don’t even care enough to elaborate , I want to stop talking about this. Off the top of my head I can give you 20 better ways the story could have gone. At the end of the day, this game makes you sad not because of the story, but because you know that the future of this franchise we all hold so dear to our hearts is irrevocably changed for the worse. TL;DR: go play metro exodus or horizon zero dawn. I wish I was someone who read a review like this before I spent money on this.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us 1 is one of my most favorite games ever and imo one of the best narrative experiences ever put on screen. While TLOU's story and gameplay were great, it was Joel and Ellie themselves that made The Last of Us a true masterpiece. You see, the core of The Last of Us isn't the zombies or the violence or even the gameplay itself. The core of the Last of Us is and always will be Joel and Ellie despite what Naughty Dog and all these pseudo game critics want you to believe.

    Joel, one of the best fictional characters that I've ever seen, is completely disrespected and cast aside in favor of a new character named Abby. At this point, everyone and their mother's **** has heard of Abby and what she does to Joel. Not only does she kill Joel but she bashes his brains in with a golf club in front of Ellie, and Abby's associate (who is just a stand in for Neil Druckmann) spits on Joel's corpse, and this all happens towards the start of the game.

    Right off the bat, its clear that Naughty Dog has lost their way and forgot what drew the fans to TLOU in the first place. or maybe they just didn't give a **** TLOU 2 wants to make it very clear that Joel is a piece of **** who deserved death because he killed a lot of people but I think that actively goes against what the first game was going for. TLOU 1 showed us a world in which people cast aside notions of right and wrong and put survival above all else, Joel being one of those people. It told a complex narrative and presented complex characters who were neither good or bad but HUMAN.
    TLOU 2 yeets all that **** out the window and just says that Joel is a piece of **** who doomed humanity and we should actively root for Abby (It doesn't help that Abby is so ****ing unlikable).

    TLOU 2 wants the player to realize the cycle of violence is bad but none of this applies to Abby, who gets away with EVERYTHING. So Ellie murders countless people just to get to Abby but once she finally has the chance to kill her, she just has an abrupt realization that violence and revenge is a big no no so Abby gets to walk away.

    I did not enjoy this game. It looks gorgeous and I mostly liked the gameplay. However the story and characters left me very disappointed. It's a shame.

    But for (last of us part 2) same aspect of design for maps , animations and fight variations its good enough no judgement but im giving it 0 because id want my favourite game to teach me whats right or wrong and abuse my love for the game for hidden agenda , dont take me wrong im with lgbt rights but dont make the games teach ppl or oppose ppl ideas cause everyone who plays want to escape the world and not live in another idea !!!

    If you are enticed by amazing graphics, this is the game for you. If you loved the gameplay of the first game, you may enjoy this although maybe let down by it's lack of evolution in 7 years. If you considered a naughty dog game to be a cinematic story infused fun ride, do not buy this game. I genuinely don't care about any of the characters sexual orientation and enjoy playing lead characters of either sex. This game's overall story is a bleak & depressing disaster.
