    If you played the first game, and you're now thinking about buying the second one, just go for it. You definitely won't be disappointed. Everything about this game is amazing. Gameplay: The gameplay is amazing and fun. Looking for supplies, or just exploring the area is awesome. Just be careful, infected can be anywhere!     Gameplay:

    The gameplay is amazing and fun. Looking for supplies, or just exploring the area is awesome. Just be careful, infected can be anywhere! You'll not only be fighting infected but other tribes/groups. Exploring certain places without knowing if there are infected or not can be super intense, especially if you're playing on a harder difficulty. 10/10

    Story:

    The story is GOLD. The Last of Us Part II, is a sequel for the first game "The Last of Us". From start to end, there are no story-wise imperfections. All the plot-twists and places you'll go are extraordinary. The story has a lot of action and drama. Most people didn't like it because it didn't surpass their expectations. Don't listen to them, the story is perfect as it is. 10/10

    Characters:

    The characters are my favorite part of the game. The Last of Us Part II portrays the characters' emotions and actions way better than the first game. This sequel overall is all about character development and the characters' actions. You'll form a bond with each and every character in the game, which I find amazing. If you like to see characters grow as a person, The Last of Us Part II is certainly for you. 10/10

    Visuals/Sound:

    The game looks beautiful, especially if you're playing on 4K 60fps. Some parts of the game can be frustrating but then you just realize how good the game looks and all your worries go away. If you're riding a horse or just running around town the games looks AWESOMEE! The fighting is also so smooth and satisfying.

    If you're using 3D audio headphones or just surround sound speakers it seems like you're actually inside the game. Sometimes I get startled by the sound of bullets hitting cars! Even if you don't have 3D audio headphones, the audio is still amazing.. seriously. All the voice acting is so perfect! I just love it, and I bet you'll love it too! 10/10

    Overall:

    Naughty Dog did an astonishing job on this sequel. I and thousands/millions of other people loved The Last of Us Part II. If you're looking into buying this game, please do. You won't be disappointed! I said this dozens of times throughout this review.. but I am being completely honest when I say this game is amazing. If I could, I would give this game way more than 5 stars! Thank you, Naughty Dog.

Hear me out... yes Joel's death was heartbreaking and unexpected but it sets the stage for the story, and yes not being able to kill abby at the end is annoying although necessary. Anyone who thought that the ending was going to be uplifting and heart-warming needs to remember that they are playing the last of us, not some kids game, a post apocalyptic world where everything is supposed to be grim and dark after society collapsed. Everyone has to revert to insanely horrific actions in order to save themselves and everyone around them. I also see people complaining about how naughty dog ruined Joel's character but remember at the start of the first game he trusted no one but throughout the story he begins to trust again? Years after staying safe in a town with hundreds of other people means that you will eventually trust again but in Joel's case it came back to bite him. I loved this game and no matter what other people say I think it will always remain an amazing game with great story telling.… Expand

    It's the most incredible and realistic game that I ever played. The sensations that the game gaves is something that you will never experience. I love that at the end it leaves you with a message that apparently many people did not understand.It is simply a work of art, haters will never understand that.

The thing about this game is that people are mad about Joel’s death, which is understandable, but you have to realize it was the more realistic option. Joel, Tommy, Ellie, Abbie, Dina, all of them have to die eventually. And I’m an apocalypse, death is bound to happen. The story was utter greatness. Everything that happened was just plain stunning. graphics are the best I’ve seen out of any game I’ve ever played. And the gameplay exceeds the first game by a long shot. While Abbie may have been irritating at first, playing as her, and seeing all the back flashes and everything made me realize that there was a reason for Joel’s death. This game has a fun and exiting twist around every corner and if I had to, I would’ve spent every penny in the world on it.… Expand

    Best game I’ve ever played. The subtleties are outstanding. I’ve played this game over and over again. The haters just have a hard on for Joel or they can’t handle the idea of two female protagonists that don’t fit their expectations.     I really liked this game's gameplay, graphics and it really use the ps4 hardware on its best way, but as a huge fan of the 1st game, the story is really disappointing, Naughty Dog didn't made this game for the fans, but if they are going to launch a third game, I'm very worried about the history.

The reason users give the game such a low rank is just, because they couldn't really undestand Joels character. He is no Hero and no Villan.He is an anti-Hero.     Part 1 has been & continues to be my favourite game of all time, because I believed that no other video game can extract a certain emotional response, like it did. I genuinely bonded with characters like never before. I was completely overwhelmed by anger, hate & sadness. Joel Miller, had been brutally killed off! Okay so we've now established the motive in the game right? "Kill Abby No Matter What!" Wrong... now we must continue to play as Joel's murderer for just as, if not longer than we play as Ellie. They both killed each other's "Dads" I guess, but they both lost their partners, family, friends & peace... not to mention that Ellie loses her fingers so she's unable to play the guitar the way she could.

    I guess the point was to enlighten us on the topic of empathy, but here's the thing... we play video games to escape reality in a safe, healthy & entertaining manner. After I finished this game, I was genuinely depressed, I didn't feel to play anything after that... Fast forward 2 years later, I decided to play again but this time I had a "better" take on it. I appreciated the gameplay, the graphics, I noticed the amount of effort that went into making this game. This game is extremely well made & it plays so much better than the first one. The AI are almost impossible on grounded mode... But I also realised something else, there is no other game that can do what this game has done for me... the amount of rage that I felt for characters in a game cannot be replicated, so Naughtydog really knows how to "tickle" your emotions. If I never played it a second time, I would have probably given it a 4... it loses points for Joel's death but I think it deserves a 8 (extra points for adding Permadeath.) I think it all boils down to personal preference, but in my opinion... overall fantastic work Naughtydog/Sony, but story-wise, I think it could've been better told. I also like dark stuff, but I would like to see the person I've bonded with get to live & preferably not play as the person I want to kill. P.S. I'm currently trying to get the grounded trophy. It's very difficult, you should play through couple times to get all the other trophies before attempting this.    … Expand

    Story - 8. The biggest problem with TLOU 2’s story isn’t the non-existent “plot holes”, or it’s supposed “wokeness” (gay people exist, cope), but rather it’s pacing. The pacing of TLOU 1 is flawless. The pacing of TLOU 2 is all over the place. This is because of the dual narrative arch’s and many flashback sequences that show how Ellie’s relationship with Joel changed since the ending of the first game. As far as the actual narrative itself though, it’s strong. Like tlou 1 the premise is simple, but it’s the characters that give the story depth. The way they emote, the way they say one thing and do another, they way can convey so much with just subtle glances. Tlou 1 did all these things before very well, and tlou 2 follows suit.

    Gameplay - 10. Massive improvement over part one. Anyone who says they are the same is being intellectually dishonest or wearing rose tinted goggles. Part 1 feels very dated in all aspects except story at this point, it’s nearly 9 years old. The ability to break glass, go prone, and jump coupled with open ended arenas is a big improvement over the first game. You can disagree, but you’re wrong.

    Final score: 9. Beat it twice, probs gonna go for a 3rd run when tlou part 1 is released.    … Expand

    All developed as should.
    We already knew TLOU1 Ellie, but this Ellie, she was different. She wasn't the sane person Joel tried to "make". She was reckless, driven by fury with only one goal in mind. Revenge. She had the chance to get what she wanted, twice but deep down she knew that by killing Abby she was no different. But it was too late at that point. All was lost.

    Abby started as a character meant to be hated. And she was. The first hours as Abby were a punch in the gut, as if the story tried to make fun of the love we had for Joel. But...was she right after all? Was Joel's actions really the correct ones? Or was Abby right to act the way she did. The answer lies somewhere in the middle. Her motives were right but here actions, just like Ellie's were driven by the wrong reasons. She overstepped and she ruined the lives of many people including her own. She changed however. She had the chance to kill Ellie but because of Lev, the "thing" as Isaac described him, who he saved and who, in my mind, was a mirror of TLOU1 Joel and Ellie.

    Lastly, the irony of it all. The only thing that Ellie managed was to save Abby. And that completes a perfect circle in my opinion making this game one of the best storytelling experiences.

    I can't be bothered to analyse the next part but the only negative was the gameplay. The stealth mechanics were unchanged and boring and every time I came across Scars, or Wolves, or zombies, or in the end Rattlers, the game was more of a hassle than an enjoyable experience.

Is it as good as the original? Some ways better, some ways not so much. I think everyone can say the gameplay is improved from the first and I love it. Again, non-spoiler, but I understand peoples frustrations and being upset, especially the order of things to come, but I feel it was necessary for the game to progress as it did. Now that being said, it is not as good as the first game. In my opinion, the reason so many people hate this game is because they gave up on it at the start and never gave it a true chance for you to experience it but instead they shut down and refused to give it a chance.     Desde una jugabilidad espectacular y disfrutable; a una historia llena de sorpresas, momentos de suspenso y angustia o también de alegría y felicidad, todo esto puede transcurrir en solo unos pocos segundos y que definitivamente deja atrapado al espectador.

    Historia:

    Este juego se atrevió a pisar un terreno muy peligros, destrozando algo muy significativo para los jugadores que disfrutaron enormemente (incluyéndome) la primera entrega de esta saga, lo cual genera una gran brecha en las opiniones.
    En los personal es algo original y arriesgado y el resultado final fue muy bueno, logrando una mezcla de emociones y sentimientos en los diversos personajes al entender sus situaciones.
    Talvez un punto bajo de esto es que al introducir personajes nuevos a esta entrega, esas emociones que el juego trata de que el espectador lo sienta no son tal fuertes o comprensibles como con los personajes de la entrega anterior, pero también es algo muy poco frecuente e interesante este tipo de situaciones.

    Arte:

    La música que interpreta el ambiente, los escenarios post-apocalípticos llenos de infectos, los barrios abandonados, o los diversos asentamientos de sobrevivientes, son simplemente hermosos y cautivadores.

    Gameplay:

    Probablemente la parte mas importante de un juego.
    La gran variedad de armas y mecánicas permiten distintos estilos de juego para enfrentarse con los múltiples enemigos, desde infectados espeluznantes a personas de varios asentamientos diferentes.
    puedes elegir el estilo dependiendo de los recursos disponibles o la situación en la que te encuentres.
    La inteligencia artificial de los npc's es difícil de vencer.
    La dificultad dependerá de los ajustes, puedes jugar con modificaciones como la munición infinita, o tratar de acabar el juego con solo un intento en la modalidad mas desafiante.

    para finaliza, lo malo:
    Hay algunas situaciones donde existen pequeños erros lógicos en el diseño del juego, como por ejemplo:
    - Cuando Ellie ataca a Abby cuando esta le persigue en el teatro con un bate en lugar de su escopeta.
    - Cuando Abby y Joel llegan al campamento de los lobos, estos ya están preparados para luchar con los infectados.

    Estos son erros muy imperceptibles pero decisivos y que pueden generar incoherencia, es sorprendente para un juego que se enfoca tanto en los pequeños detalles.

    Aun así en lo personal no es algo muy influyente, ya que la gran mayoría de obras tienen estos errores que son muy difíciles percibir (la primera vez que lo jugué no me percate de nada de esto),

    En resumen: es un juego que valió la pena totalmente, y que lo seguiré jugado anualmente por que es muy re-jugable por el gameplay desafiante y entretenido al igual que el gran ambiente de suspenso que genera la historia, como dije al inicio sencillamente es una obra maestra.    … Expand

Game looks beautiful. The game pushes the boundaries of realism with in-depth reactions from the vast world, especially with the npc animations and voice lines when you are attacking them.     First of all I dont hate this game , but I dislike the direction that Naughty Dog (Neil Drugmann) did , because he literally did all that the fans didnt want in term of story and this is the mayor flaw of this game. The positives things are the gameplay that are better to his precessor in all aspects.     O primeiro jogo dessa franquia foi o jogo da minha vida e certamente não perderia para a parte 2, uma vez que ali foi o começo de tudo. Apesar de jogar The Last of Us II pensando nisso, não pude deixar de notar o quão boa essa continuação é !
    TLOU exerce com categoria a função de mostrar para os jogadores como é um Apocalipse Zumbi de verdade, trazendo uma história excelente, trilha    O primeiro jogo dessa franquia foi o jogo da minha vida e certamente não perderia para a parte 2, uma vez que ali foi o começo de tudo. Apesar de jogar The Last of Us II pensando nisso, não pude deixar de notar o quão boa essa continuação é !

    For me this is an absolute masterpiece because of many things. First, graphics. It was the best game visually I ever played, all of the details are amazing. Second, history. The Last of Us 1 was extremely good and the second part was not behind. I just have to say thank to Naughty Dog for letting me have the experience of playing a game like this.     её мотивы мне не понятны, она выглядит как танк, мне не жаль этого персонажа, у меня нет никакого сопереживания к нему, она просто ужасна.
    к тому же, после того что она сделала, играть за неё буквально не хочется, омерзительная женщина.
    но финал игры опять даёт кучу эмоций, на которых ты уже и строишь у себя в голове вывод о том какая это игры.

    они таки свершили месть на глазах у элли, после чего уже элли готовит свой план мести этим людям.

    Great graphics, voice acting and game mechanics. Exploration is not rewarded.

    The big issue is that the story tries to subvert expectations but does so in a ham fisted way. People invested in the characters from the first game will find the subverting wrenching and brutal. Attempts to justify the narrative are also ham fisted. Story and exploration aside the game is well put together.

    Story-wise this game is a mess, relies heavily on shock value, the trailers clearly tried tricking the fanbse that you'd have more time playing as Joel, and overall it has so many other narrative problems that are worthy of being in a Netflix-original show. It really is that underwhelming.
    I wasn't really a fan of the first TLOU game but at least I was looking forward to see what was going to happen next, in TLOU2 things felt like they kept dragging on and on and on and on.
    But credit where credit is due, technologically speaking the game is a true work of art. it looks good, it plays good, the little details really sell the realism the game's going for and it has a lot of accessibility options that are always well received.    … Expand

    Played it the first time, didn't think it was awful like how the internet described it to be. Played it a second time to platinum it, I noticed flaws that bothered me. The setup for Joel's death was really pathetic; Joel would've never saved Abby and Tommy wouldn't have told strangers who they were if you've played the first game. Way out of character for them. Dina was a really interesting character. Sadly she was pushed aside midway in Ellie's story; her reason for it was an obvious setup for what was to come if you paid attention to Abby and her friend's backgrounds.
    Now, let's get to Abby. I DID NOT hate her. Although her reason for killing Joel was understandable, her father being the doctor that almost killed Ellie was an overstretch. Her love interest Owen seemed chill but wasn't interesting, just like the rest of Abby's friends. Her adventure was actually more thrilling than Ellie's. As a character she's alright; I was actually interested into where she was exploring and her dialogue with her friends felt authentic. Lev and Yara's backgrounds were really fascinating but in the end, they didn't feel impactful.
    The worldbuilding is a massive improvement over the original. The Scars and WLF felt much more threatening than the infected.
    To cut it short, the message is clear but executed bad. If the game were to end with Ellie living happily with Dina and her child and Abby and Lev reaching the fireflies, I would've been fine with that. Let Ellie not get her revenge and begin to process it and grow stronger would've made sense. Instead, she ends up going off to find Abby--who was kidnapped by a group with Lev--and ends up freeing prisoners along the way, OUT OF VENGEANCE. So the message is vengeance makes you do horrible things, but also good things like free the prisoners and Abby????

    the story is good. yes it is good. is it enjoyable ? not all of it
    the story is nowhere near as good as TLOU1
    combat is better but the plot is so weird man
    the whole time playing as abby i actually didnt mind but when she got back to hunt Ellie down i really hated it and i dont get why we have to fight Ellie. speaking of Ellie i loved seeing her descend into madness trying to take revenge for Joel but i loved that she ends up forgiving Abby and lettiing her inner demons go. THAT IS A GOOD STORY FOR WHAT WE ARE GIVEN. the level design is overwhelming and really weird sometimes which is why i do not want to replay it cos i just dont want to play with a headache most of the time again. CAN i just say that is is so boring to force myself to play through meeting Abbys friends and all already knowing they are dead..... pointless Abby narrative, and i almost forgot abt the Seraphites cos they DONT MATTER AT ALL! with that said i can understand what the story is going for and i can somewhat appreciate it just not all that much..... abit sad    … Expand

    I'm being 100% honest when I say that I don't understand the divisive reception to this. It's one of the most beautiful stories ever told that makes you feel for every character regardless of their actions and why they do them. The last 5-10 minutes tore me apart.

    Mechanically and visually this game is nearly flawless. I felt right at home with the controls after playing the first game on PS3. Some of the controls are a little old (e.g. weapon selection). The only thing that holds this game back is the story and the decision to make the game longer by playing as multiple characters.

    It is true that the script can be very controversial, but in my opinion it creates a powerful, realistic story that stays true to the spirit of the first part. It can be sad af but after finishing the game i can say it brought me some tears of happiness more than once. Can´t wait to see what HBO brings us with the second season.

    O jogo tecnicamente falando é incrível, nem parece que roda em um PS4, a gameplay é bem semelhante ao do primeiro, porém melhorada e ampliada. Porém o principal problema do jogo é a sua história, que consegue descaracterizar vários personagens,( Ellie e tommy por exemplo) e introduzir outros que não sentimos nenhuma empatia por eles (como a própria Abby o exemplo).

Keşke hikayeside güzel olsaydı da 9 veya 10 verebilseydim ama sevgili Neil druckman keşke daha oyunun başında en sevdiğimiz adamı, Tommy'nin kardeşi, Maria'nin eniştesi, Tess'in yol arkadaşı, Sarah'ın babası ve Ellie'nin herşeyi olan JOEL MİLLER'ı bizden almasaydı. Bu hareketini oyun tarihinin en büyük hatalarından buluyorum o adamı bizden almıycaktın Neil. Madem bu adamı bizden aldın bari onu vahşice öldüren kadın olan Abby'i yaklaşık 7-8 oynatma çünkü her ne kadar onla empati kurmamızı istesen de yok kardeşim o kadın koskoca Joel'u öldürdü.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Hearing fans say this game is a complete 'Masterpiece' makes me think the TLOU community is completely blind or delusional. Let's start with the Pros, the gameplay is fun and straightforward, similar to the old game, and it's nice to play as Ellie more and see her fighting as she's grown up now. The game is beautiful, from the scenery to the world, the character's faces, the weapons, and everything. The game is a masterpiece... graphics-wise. Abby is a proper protagonist that truly makes you feel anger while experiencing the game as Ellie. Let's continue with the Cons. The game's new characters are awful. We are forced to talk with characters who are boring and soulless on both sides of each character (Abby and Ellie). Only once in the story did I find any side character that seemed interesting, and that was Lev. All the other characters felt like just empty puppets. I had a deeper connection with a Clicker than I did with Dina. She was only there to give Ellie a love interest and to help her move on... and she didn't even do that as Ellie goes back to get Abby at the end. Jesse was an odd character as they lied in the trailer about his location (It was Joel in the trailer and Jesse in the game). His only existence in the game was just so Ellie had a kid to take care of to help her get past the trauma from Abby. Only 1 new side character remained interesting and that was Lev. He had an interesting story and a good connection with Abby that helped us feel for both of them and we were able to understand both of these characters and relate to them. The others we have no clue about, they just appeared from thin air with no weight to them to help us relate. They were purely there to just stop Ellie from continuing the cycle of hate. Narrative. What a sloppy way of continuing a story. Now, the game is about Ellie, yes, but, because it is about her doesn't mean you have to replace everything from the old game. Joel's death was known by everybody that it was going to happen as he needed to pay for his actions and death with the consequence, but to do it the way they did by him sloppy giving out his name and accepting these new random people into a house on a snowy mountain. That isn't Joel. Joel isn't the type of person to suddenly warm up and trust everybody as you can see throughout the first game. Just as the apocalypse is starting (With Sara) Joel is already only looking for himself and his family, abandoning the random family with a child. From Surviving 25 years in the apocalypse you're telling me that he warms up to people in only 5 years? 5 YEARS? Even after 20 years, in the first game, When Ellie and Joel leave Bill's and encounter the scavengers. The scavenger cries out in pain to help and Joel, with no hesitation, revs the engine and drives straight into him. The equivalent of what Joel did in TLOU2, in this situation, is as if he got out of the car and said to the scavenger 'Everything Okay?'. It doesn't make sense in a million years. There was not even a funeral for Joel, we saw him die brutally just to see a black screen, and then to a grave, which felt like disrespect to both the player and the character. Even ignoring this, they could've vastly improved the game's structure by putting each Flashback first for Ellie and Joel to help us reconnect with this world after 7 years of delays and waiting. Abby's story was important but, was unbearable, forcing us to play a character who killed a beloved character is just cruel. They could've even made us play as Abby first then Ellie shows that Abby kills Joel. That would've made the game much more bearable to play. With how everything was structured in this game, it felt pointless, from the start to the end, everything that we did in the game felt like nothing apart from everybody in the game and the real world being depressed.

    The game was unbearable for a lot of time. Wish I could understand this is a masterpiece from a beloved franchise.

    It's a good game, the story maintains the level of the previous story, but I don't like the character design, it's much longer than it should. And it doesn't help as they have introduced a new character, it could be better.

É aquela coisa né, eles tiveram que matar o principal pra poder contar a história que eles criaram, e eles foram os mais corajosos para fazer isso e fizeram isso de uma maneira mais adequada possível, não é nem novidade nenhuma que todos q não gostaram do jogo como um inteiro por conta disso são a pior parte do fandom (?), logo, resolveram não dar a mínima relevância para todos os outros assuntos abordados e é isso que pega, homofobia (nesse fandom só em alguns(grande parte) dos casos) e falta de empatia/caráter(em todos os casos) é um problema muuuito sério cara olha o insulto dessa nota do público, enfim, 10 é pouco, naughty dog arrasa sempre!❤️… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A true masterpiece in storytelling. Everything they did in the Part 1 is turned up a notch and improved upon. Nuanced storytelling is matched only by the exceptional gameplay. I loved the set pieces and level design, especially when the game is non stop action for a long period and they rip out your heart with beautifully told cut scenes.

    Kudos to the writers and performers, the musicians and artists for bringing such a powerful story to life. Now hurry up with Part 3!    … Expand

If you could define divisive, it would be this game you’ll see many reviews both positive and negative but I think that there are a lot of aspects of this game that are worthwhile while others are merely disgraceful to what the last games president set. Most of the Eli stuff was good as well as the relationships she had with every character that was with her butt cutting it in the middle of the game to go to. Abbi did my interest in the game so severely that I barely even finished it. You see many people whining about any LGBTQ representation, but honestly even if you care it’s not over bearing at all it’s not treated any special way. It’s just treated normal. The ending was also very lackluster.… Expand

    Or maybe it was Ellie all along the way? I'd go as far as to say that Cordyceps is the protagonist of this story, but the most important part is that those monkey fans wanted this game to be just like any other game where you play with the main character - talk about inovation.
    Playing with Abby gave you an insight into her reasons for torturing Joel?
    Who side are you on?
    Joel? A guy who killed bunch of innocent people?
    Or Abby? A girl who never did a bad deed until she avenged her father?
    You goddamn idiots, even critics are wrong, because this game deserves a higher score than the first one.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
