    Gameplay, sound, animation, graphics are all 10/10. But that's not what people are here to read about. Honestly, this games story was thoughtful, innovative and unique. There are no "heroes" in this game, only flawed, realistic characters who sacrifice too much for revenge. This is a must play.

    This is one of the best game of this generation,of the ps4,of the console, game and of all time no matter what people say you have to play this game and make your own opinion. I enjoyed this game and the few negative point like the bad use of some characters are not enough to make this game bad. This is the the greatest masterpiece of naughty dog since uncharted 4.

    Masterpiece. Several days after completing the game, I can't stop thinking about the plot, the characters and the kind of world they are doomed to live in. How one's actions can have an everlasting impact on so many people.

    Music is fantastic too, not only the great Santaolalla pieces, but Mac Quayle as well.

    Gameplay is fun as hell. Probably the best stealth-action game ever made.

    Stunning, I can’t believe the hate, people are insidious. One of the most interesting, intimate and special gaming experiences I’ve ever had - this is something that’s is not achievable in any other medium and people don’t seem to get that. You don’t have to like it, but to do deny that it’s a great feat of engineering and storytelling is just dense. Structured weirdly for sure, but still enjoyable. Felt underwritten/under realized. Don't let some over talked elements over shadow the good. (Spoilers) The museum scene, Ellie playing Take On Me and more...so beautiful and reminded me of what I loved about the first game. Cool dynamics with world building too- the other factions are interesting. But overall, they dropped the ball on story and the ending. Still a must play.… Expand

    Made an account after finishing the story, this game deserves all of the praise it gets. Naughty dog manages to stay faithful to the first game as they take you on a journey where you feel every emotion under the sun along the way. Do yourself a favor and play it all the way through, absolutely the most ambitious story the studio has told to date.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. this game was something that many, like me, anxiously waited upon for years, and was also a game that was waited on with such high expectations due to the masterpiece that was the last of us part I. to me, this game was not disappointing in the slightest.

    like others, i was disgusted and horrified by joel’s death, but not in the way that made me want to leave hateful reviews saying that naughty dog had failed the franchise. to me, it was a preview of what would turn out to be the most mentally tolling game i would ever play, both morally and emotionally.

    the decision to have the player spend time as both ellie and abby was extremely risky on naughty dog’s part, but something i ultimately felt was necessary. as we play the same set of days as both these characters who have essentially been destroyed by each other, we get such an insightful glance into the damage revenge has on the mentality of someone and their actions. i found myself not wanting to be hurt as ellie and dina, but at the same time, i rooted for abby and lev, who were essentially the targets of the women i previously mentioned.

    the grief of losing someone by the fault of another is not something that can be so easily remedied, and that’s exactly what the last of us part II shows us. i believe wholeheartedly naughty dog achieved the story they set out to tackle, even though there were faults along the way.

    i urge everyone to play this harrowing game, and urge people who may not be completely satisfied to give it another go. it is vastly different from the game we all grew to adore seven years ago, but that does not make it any less worthy.

    i also applaud the diversity and inclusivity the game provided despite the opinion of bigots. catch up with the world.    … Expand

    Good game, very nice gameplay amazing graphics for a ps4 game, and really confused about the ending, was gonna give it 9 but after the ending i decided it'll be no lower than 7 qnd not higher than 9 so i rate it 8,i really didn't like the sexual contents in this game and the hidden messages to accept homosexuality. good game overall.

    1. To call the writing lazy is completely unreasonable.

    2. I threw Abby off of cliffs around 10 ten times before I proceeded to play as her. Now I feel **** about it.

    3. The gameplay is still a blast. Could they have spiced it up more? Maybe, but I can’t come up with any ideas so I’m not going to complain because it was still great.

    4. The story is meant to be challenging and it’s the apocalypse, **** can happen at any moment.

    Not enough of Joel when he is killed of to early. Playing two characters make Ellie seem like she is not the main character anymore. The gameplay is still the same or even better.All the gameplay accessibility options made me enjoy the game so much more. Makes you emotional good or bad it seems to work.

The decision to go darker, more gritty as well as expand on the world and take some extremely unexpected turns, was all for the better and that is the genius of Neil Druckmann.     It's one of the most complex games i've ever played. Emotionally intense, you can pass from frenetic anger and fury to full nostalgic and sadness. Gameplay is at another level, it has some mechanics that make the player feel fully inside the different situations of the characters. Really enjoyed the experience, really felt the plot.

I avoided spoilers completely for the game, I don't know how I did that because I'm online constantly but somehow I didn't. Anyway people are made because their favorite character (my favorite too) was killed which regardless of what they say he deserved it in Abbys eyes. You see why later and then they didn't want to play as Abby which wasn't an actual problem and she had some of the best parts in the game.     While the gameplay has improved greatly, game world got bigger, the story is way more fleshed out and writing is intricate and plays well off of the main elements in the first game, it wasn't quite as enjoyable.
    I commend Naughty Dog for their brave writing decisions, but this    The Last of Us Part II, is an amazing sequel, but it doesn't top the elegance and tightness of the first game.

    Also something I haven't seen being pointed out, I encountered many glitches during my playthrough, mostly with melee combat, which feels more real and has more impact this time around, but the sudden tone down of the "enemy magnet" made me punch the air several times, because I'm used to my attacks getting connected with the enemies automatically.    … Expand

    Интереснейший геймплей с выживанием и ползанием раскрывается только на самых высоких сложностях и тогда идет максимальное погружение в историю, плюс ассоциация себя с персонажем. Мне геймплей безумно понравился, мне нравится стелс, сложность, и ползание между группами врагов. Но если задуматься, кому это вообще нужно? Большинство не хочет заморачиваться со сложностью, да и стелс как жанр не всегда привлекает людей. Так же многие скажут что это игра про хорошую историю..

    Сюжет крайне сложный для восприятия и понимания. Тяжелый эмоционально, с первых минут может заставить игрока возненавидеть всех сценаристов и бросить игру со словами: "Ну и говно! R.I.P Naughty Dog". Однако если копнуть глубже, пересилить себя, можно понять основную мысль игры "Происходит все не так, как ты хочешь". Дальше ты становишься свидетелем очень мрачной драмы, и игра не отпустит тебя аж до самых титров. А после титров ты полезешь на форумы по обсуждению игры и еще долгое время будешь сидеть и обсуждать что же это такое было? Мотивы персонажей многие могут назвать нелогичными, непонятными, глупыми. Все очень зависит от степени погруженности в игру и понимания эмоций персонажей, того что они чувствуют и тд. Это все очень не просто, так как буквально все персонажи за историю игры меняются по несколько раз. Проходит какое-то время и человек совсем другой. Невероятно то, как Naughty Dog показали эту перемену характера персонажей, очень интересно смотреть модельки одного и того же персонажа в разные периоды времени. Это чертовски крутая проработка, все до мелочей.

    Я люблю то, насколько сложный сюжет в этой игре. Я понимаю почему многие ненавидят, поливают говном этот сюжет. Все что происходит на экране не оставит равнодушным никого. И это как бы и показывает что это такой next-gen для сценариев, такого нам еще никогда не показывали в видеоиграх настолько хорошо. Максимально неоднозначный сценарий, о котором хочется думать, находить в нем какие-то новые интересные моменты.

    Вывод такой. Если нравится сложный драматический сюжет в связке с выживанием и стелсом, если не ожидать от игры многого, то можно получить невероятный опыт, которого до сих пор не приносили видеоигры в принципе.    … Expand

    Emotionally exhausting. I really dont know if I love or hate this game, but the emotional toll it has put upon me shows how this game marvels in storytelling. Some parts of the game I just wanted to skip storywise (though necessary for the story it wanted to tell), but the gameplay was phenomenal. It was so fun. It felt so dynamic throughout. Even crafting felt fun and dynamic. Again, thisEmotionally exhausting. I really dont know if I love or hate this game, but the emotional toll it has put upon me shows how this game marvels in storytelling. Some parts of the game I just wanted to skip storywise (though necessary for the story it wanted to tell), but the gameplay was phenomenal. It was so fun. It felt so dynamic throughout. Even crafting felt fun and dynamic. Again, this game makes me feel a lot of things. Even though I feel turbulent about it, though maybe I'll be clearer in how i feel about it later, I know that a game has never made me feel like this (maybe the first game) in terms of tearing me apart. Few movies has managed that for me. (Spoiler: seeing the shell that Ellie becomes is really tough. Only sadness is left in the end, and I cant help being angry with the creators for making the game this way). But I'm invested, because it was a good game. Thus the rating.… Expand

Ellie goes on this journey to kill Abby because she killed Joel. But at the end she doesn’t kill her she allows her to leave. She wasn’t trying to kill her just because she killed Joel she wanted revenge because Ellie’s wasn’t able to forgive Joel for what he did in the first game.… Expand

    never played anything like this before, a true emotional rollercoaster. if you cant stand that things dont go the way you want them to go, dont bother playing it. other than that it is a masterpiece.

    Extremely emotional and intelligent story. Countless negative theory-laden opinions on the game due to leaks, many review bombs by people who haven't played the game, many invalid criticisms, and many valid criticisms.

    If you're on the fence about buying this, and haven't seen the leaks, do it. I've been thinking about this game non-stop since I finished it a few days ago.

    Best game I have played in a long time! The story is amazing, and so in depth... Makes you really think about who is really the bad guy or are we all just bad. At the end of the last game you agree with what happened and now this game throws a whole new twist at it. Masterpiece!

    La historia está genial,tiene cosas que no me gustaron,pero es muy buena. Y la gente que odia a Abby,son solo unos subnormales fanáticos a muerte de Joel y Ellie que no son capaces de entender que,para nosotros Joel es el bueno y que solo estaba protegido a Ellie,pero para los demás personajes del universo de The Last of Us,Joel es un genocida,eso es así. Lo que debería sorprendernos,es que nadie antes hubiera buscado venganza. Se nota que Abby es una buena persona,solo mató a quien tenía que matar,a diferencia de Ellie,que se los carga a todos para luego,ni si quiera terminar lo que empezó,y en consecuencia,ella lo pierde todo. Creo que Naughty Dog quería que,cuando jugaramos con Abby sintiéramos rabia y ganas de matarla(yo lo hice un par de veces solo porque me daba placer xd),y aunque me jode admitirlo,la historia de Abby,me ha gustado mucho más que la de Ellie,en este juego.
    Claro que tiene cosas que no me gustaron nada,como el que haya demasiada diversidad forzada. Es que no me jodas:Jesse,Yara,Lev(transexual), asiáticos. Isaac,negro. Manny,latino. Una cosa es integrar y otra,forzar. La engañosa muerte de Tommy. Y, sobretodo,que no hubiera varios finales. Este juego bebe muchísimo del punto de vista de cada personaje,y quiere que el jugador se sienta comprometido. Tendrían que haber puesto 3 finales: uno en el que Ellie matara a Abby para culminar su venganza de una puñetera vez,otro en el que Abby matase a Ellie,para que la dejase de perseguir, y el otro que es el que verdaderamente tuvimos,por mucho que sea agridulce. A mí me da exactamente igual lo que digan los cuatro gilipollas que se ponen a hablar mal del título sin ni siquiera haberlo jugado.

Saying the theme of this game is just “revenge is bad” is doing a disservice as it’s such a surface level analysis of the game. The theme is about the cycle of violence and the destruction it leads to, and forgiveness. Wether you liked the story or not, the technical aspect of the game is objectively some of the best in the business. From the big step up in gameplay from the last game to the jaw-dropping visuals, from the music and sound design to the level design, everything is vastly improved from Naughty Dog’s previous installments.… Expand

    Pleeeaase, Pleeeeaase just hear out what the game has to say. Try not to become defensive after "the big spoiler" happens and try to see what it has to offer. And that is one of the bravest, gut-wrenching, beautiful stories of this console generation. If game developers always took the steps that would please most fans, the medium would be so much less exciting.

The fighting animations are bloody and feel "real". The exploration is fun and always different. Since it lasts 20+ hours could become boring, but I did like it till the end. Spent my playtrough laughing most of the time. The problem is that the game wants to be taken seriously, but it fails miserably after 2 hours. Forgettable cast and plot. The ending is got season 8 "subvert expectations" level garbage. A solid 6. Just skip the cutscenes. All of them.… Expand

Персонажи хорошо проработаны, хорошо деталезированны. Графика и физи ка отличные. Багов почти нет, их немного, но они не существенные. Разработчики хорошо потрудились над этой игрой. Сюжетные повороты очень неожиданные, например: нашёл 1 вёрстка, хотел использовать, а на меня накинулся какой-то мужик, из-за которого я чуть в штаны не наложил. Или перевозить тележку, чтобы залезть дальше, а ты проваливаешься под доски, а там топляка. Игра заставляет тебя использовать стелс. Это обязательно. Думаю разработчикам не стоит беспокоится об оценках, так каких игру купили более 4 миллионов раз и. До сих пор покупают… Expand

The staging and atmosphere ist great and the graphics and the excellent sound do the rest. Sometimes i was quite tense while playing and was even a little bit afraid. :D in addition, the player ist forced to consider ethical an moral choices made by elly and abby while playing. The players empathie ist also required. ND has done an unprecededented job here to shed light on all sides of the effect and cause, taking the player on an exciting journey. I loved it. There were only a few lenghts for me that didnt have to be. The gameplay ist straight and similar to tlou. 9/10… Expand

После прохождения я просто впала в уныние, я не хотела знать и помнить эту игру, но не потому что она плохая а потому что она вызывает такие эмоции какие ни один фильм что я смотрела, ни одна игра не вызывала. The gameplay is gripping and intense, the graphics are some of the best I've ever seen and the acting and voice acting is top notch. My only issue is with the pacing of the story. The story itself is brilliant, although there are parts that break up the tension such as playing 10 hours of gameplay after an intense moment is left unfinished, forcing you to wait to see the conclusion. On repeat runs if you expect the 10 hour gap, I imagine it being more enjoyable. On your first run however it can be a bit tiresome. I also thought it was a tad too long but that's my preference. Overall this game is a masterpiece and definitely in my top 10 of all time.… Expand

Theres lots to be talk about when it comes to this game. i rekon the story is amazing, the way it made me feel was so werid man never felt it before. The way Ellie gave up everything to kill abby is so sad and at the time i wanted Abby to die but now im so happy she didn’t. Abbys like Joel now from the first game looking after Lev. I see this game being like Whiskey getting better over time. Gameplay was prtty good but got stale at points. Soundtrack was the best part o along side the acting. Soild 8/10.… Expand

    Maybe the most intensive video game experience I ever had!
    My feelings were like on a rollercoaster ... sympathy and antipathy changed during the game and I was so invested in the story.
    In my opinion one of the best videogames ever made.

    Intel's hate this game. All these negative reviews from people who haven't played the game just show how sad the gaming community is. No one takes this community seriously and for good reason. Get a life, get out the basement, you are what all the stereotypes stem from. It's sad and cringe. On top of that, I'm on my second play though and can say this game is amazing.

    The last of us was an amazing touching story, making you care for each and every character as if they were your own family. Connecting to them, feeling them, getting to know them was my top priority when I immersed myself in that universe.
    With that said, all the love and care that went into that first game was forcefully taken away in its sequel, killing the mentor figure right from the start, playing double standards for the protagonist and antagonist, forcing us to believe that Ellie has gone a darker path, which goes against the hero stature, yet with Abby - the villain, being guilty of walking this exact same path is treated like a saint.
    Over all it is a huge decline from the first game's story, yet the visual beauty and the game play itself were absolutely astonishing. Having said that, as this is a story driven game, half of my score comes from the story and since it is a continuation of a previous, extremely good story driven game, I'm scoring it a 1/10. That with the 9/10 for the game play (some issues with friendly AI and the weapon system) would give an average of 5 / 10, though because of the way this game treated these characters I love so much, I really wanted to give it less.    … Expand

    I can't tell that this game is an absolute masterpiece due to it's questionable (at best) writing and plot holes, but it's definitely not a garbage game, and it so good technically that I'd say it's 10/10. Story is mediocre though, 6 out of 10 for me, so I think 8 would be fair.

Unfortunately it was review bombed by multiple "anti-SJW" groups for featuring a muscular female character (they spread the lie that she was trans, but that's not true). Everything that Abby went through should've lead up to the death of Joel, then Ellie's story should've been second with her following Abby to Seattle. The end was a little difficult. I get it, but the truth is if someone had went through what Ellie had they wouldn't have held back. Gameplay was amazing, story was almost amazing, and the graphics were really well done. 2 flaws isn't worth the damnation of a solid game.… Expand

    This has got to be one of the best games I've ever played, no joke, Such a shame about the review bombing, especially from people who never played the game. The gameplay was absolutely fantastic, and so was the first half of the story. While the second half did drag on a bit and could've ended 3 hours earlier, I was ultimately satisfied with it.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
