    I just wasted my money, the story is garbage, I'll pretend that this game never existed, I saw Joel many times in the trailers especially when he says " you think I'll let do this on your own" I got so excited, I even avoided the spoilers and ended up very disappointed, thank you naughty dog for misleading us.

    This game is just a big letdown and a disgrace! If you loved the first one, do yourself a favour and forget about this piece of trash. I'm still shocked how Naughty Dog managed it to kill off such a big franchise in just two hours, unbelievable!

    Spineless corrupt critics got paid off to leave positive reviews and metacritic is deleting negative reviews. Sony allows a full sex scene in this while censoring bikinis in japanese games because they are racist. This game suck. My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined.

    The game is boring. The first part was much better, such a game Ubisoft for 2-3 years can do, TLOU2 was developed for 7 years, for 7 years it was possible to make the Witcher 4.

They should add a DLC alternative ending where u make a choice at the end to finish abby or not and then if they make a 3rd game then they could of decided what is cannon and maybe they would realize going woke isn't the the overwhelming popular choice. clear they don't care bout their fan base and they just want to push their agenda.     This is such a stupid story. If you are in a technical masterpiece, it does not happen without the story. I hate how SONY cancels and censors other games due to their 'sexualising content' but not this one with that **** awful sex scene that literally no one likes.     I'm a fan of the orifinal TLOU. I think that it is the best game ever. After the witcher 3 I guess. When I found out details of scenario and SJW elements, I was very dissapounted. I'll never buy this game. i watched streams and its enough.
    Congratulations Drackman. You made the game for SJW, but not for the fans of the original TLOU.

    And there was no popcorn.
    They take a world that has been absolutely destroyed by a virus, and then they make characters who have serious first-world problems. It's like going to the poorest villages in the world and instead of teaching them how to farm and build shelters, I teach them how to choose a gender and take revenge on those who have wronged them, but then forgive them at the last moment.
    Another great storyline destroyed by writers trying to subvert our expectations. To make a third part would be absolutely greedy considering everything in this franchise has been wrapped up by the conclusion of this game.
    No amount of excellent graphics, stellar performances, or gameplay mechanics can compensate for such a strong failure in the story.
    Don't give naughty dog your money. I don't care how hard someone works on something; if it isn't good then they don't deserve your money.    … Expand

From the first minute you meet the character Abby it starts: they just label the closed captioning as “woman”, when “she” is clearly a man-trans or not. It continues to throw this ideology in the players face by forcing you to play as this character and hurt the characters you fell in love with from the first game. They kill Joel, a beloved character, after trying to prove HE was the villain the whole time. Then Ellie doesn’t even kill Abby when she finally catches her/him? You have got to be kidding me. This game is nothing more than a diatribe on the evils of straight white males. Even if that was their goal they could have made a good story to go along with it; but they butchered the first game and the 2nd by how bad it was. Terrible dialogue, hardcore sex scenes, forgettable new characters. I could go on and on. Do NOT buy this game and support this drivel. Buy another copy of Days Gone. That is a good game. Or replay the first Last of Us.… Expand

    The last of us Part 2 takes a flight from the themes and baseline of the first game which made the first game a classic. The gameplay was enjoyable and the scripted gameplay moments were great too but last of us 1 wasn't famous for it's gameplay it was favourite for the relationship chemistry of father and daughter and the adventure they go through
    A simple story was so beautifully told.    The last of us Part 2 takes a flight from the themes and baseline of the first game which made the first game a classic.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have never in my entire life been so upset at any movie, tv show, book, or game than Last of Us Part 2. Tore down Joel that had such a story behind him. Then in a span of 2 minutes, killed. In the first hour of playing this game. Abby sought revenge, and she got it. You play Ellie, who also seeks revenge killing everyone who was involved. Not only does she fail in that quest, but the devs thought it was sort of a good life lesson that revenge is bad. In the end you have Ellie who finally finds Abby after all that carnage, and let's her go.

    So in total you basically play Abby more than Ellie. I think Naughty Dog wanted us to feel bad for Abby to justify what she did to a beloved character.
    After the game ended you realise Joel is dead, Tommy's marriage ends, Dina breaks up with Ellie, and now she doesn't have access to a guitar which was a big story highlight of the game.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
