    The Last of Us Part 2 is a beautiful game with some decent game-play and lovely music and sound.

    On the other hand, we have the story and the characters, which have less personality than a golf club.

    I thought The Last of us was an almost perfect game with a great ending. The Last of us part 2 makes Mass Effect 3’s ending seem amazing by comparison. This sequel never needed to be made it feels like nothing but a cash cow. Gameplay is extremely similar to the 1st with very little adjustments and the flash back graphics look worse then back on the ps3.

    I avoided spoilers to waste my money,i played the first game for its story and it was a 9 out of 10 for me,however this game only made me mad and did not even slightly hook me,i only played about two hours and gave it to my friend and he also dislikes it.

    I truthfully believe this game is getting way too much hate. I mean people are giving this game 0s and 1s?! Cmon now. This game is arguably one of the best survival games I’ve ever played. Yes I will admit naughty dog did have a very controversial story that upset a lot of fans but I don’t think this should distract people from the several positives of the game.     TLOU was my best game ever, I've been a gamer since 1990, and I've played thousands of games since that time, then naughty dog releases a game that gave me a fantastic experience I haven't experienced before in any game.     I remember when i cried in the E3 reveal of this game, that happiness is all gone now. It's all about the writing. Yeah, the gameplay is likable, the visual quality and details are gorgeous, but it really does not compensate the narrative in a game that have story and characters heavily as its appeal.

    Joel is emptied and used explicitly just as a plot device, the character and interactions are bad, with absence of a good development, there's plotholes, some scenes and dialogues feel too forced, the writing tries to make you sympathize with the main antagonist, which would not be a problem if did right, and guess it? It fails at it. The ending is the worst part of it, cause it just throws everything out the window, it's not coherent with the character, it's not coherent with anything, it's all forced for the sake of the message (and it could've been done in a lot of consistent ways.

    The game don't really have a "SJW agenda", but as a result of the previous talked bad character interactions, these things feel really forced and unnatural as well, take as example a moment when Ellie and Dina have sex. You can feel that scene is so unnaturally written and in a bad scenario. I don't think the diversity was forced, but it definitely wasn't handled well.

    The Last of Us Part II had a incredible amount of wasted potential, it's a spit on the face of TLOU fans and any people who knew the potential of this sequel. Neil Druckmann shows he's a terrible writer, and i would blame just him for this disappointment, but Naughty Dog is not innocent, manipulating reviews and false advertising the plot in the trailers. This game is not worth buying, unless you want to play it not caring about the story (which i doubt, it's TLOU).    … Expand

    I really enjoyed it. I think the characters are well rounded and the dialogue still has it's old charm, the actual mechanics and gameplay still provide a fun challenge, as well as quite a lot of extra well integrated mechanics
    Gorgeous game visually too
    10/10 worth the 7 years wait

    I am honestly really shaken by this ****
    The story can be summed up like - imagine you have a dog, you care for him for 7 years, then you see some random **** steroid hulk machine kill your dog off in the most horribly brutal way, and then makes you play the **** steroid hulk machine for 14+ hrs, **** that **** I am out, gameplay-wise it    I pre-ordered the game and post-playing this game

    It's not as bad as so many ppl are saying. It does have some plot issues but overall, it was an amazing game with so much emotion and the graphics were stunning. Imo, it's definitely worth the money.

    The gameplay as a whole was excellent the story ;however, made very bold choices that I don’t necessarily agree with. I understand the reason behind the controversy and the anger toward the game but in my opinion this game is very good not as good as the first one but not as bad people say it is.     The good: Outstanding graphics, some of the best PS4 can offer.

    The average: Gameplay, similar to the first one, it feels dated (very PS3 like) and while I can forgive ND going so conservative in Uncharted 4 because it was their first game on PS4, in this one it´s underwhelming to the point that some mechanics (like the "radar" where you can detect close enemies) just feels akward to    The good: Outstanding graphics, some of the best PS4 can offer.

    The average: Gameplay, similar to the first one, it feels dated (very PS3 like) and while I can forgive ND going so conservative in Uncharted 4 because it was their first game on PS4, in this one it´s underwhelming to the point that some mechanics (like the "radar" where you can detect close enemies) just feels akward to use. The only innovation is a button to dodge enemies that paradoxily feels like a step backwards because it just makes the mele combat too easy reducing the challenge of some enemies.

    The (very) bad: The story. Clearly, the story it´s at the core of the game, and after watching the ending the only world to describe it is pretentious. I won´t do spoilers but most of the plot feels convoluted and lacks originality, reducing it to a basuc and uninteresting conventional revenge tale. The motivations of the characters are pure clichés and all of them lack real character archs (to the point that once you reach the ending of the game, most of their decisions simply make no sense. On top of that, the overall treatment of the narrative theme ("revenge is bad) is treated on a very oversimplified and even childish way, and to compensate for this lack of real deepness, the story constantly looks for a dark and edgy tone, including lots of violence and deaths of characters for shock value every time the script reaches a dead point (which sadly is quite often) but paradoxically, since all this characters are for the most part poorly written, uninteresting and pretty much copy-pasted from many other zombie films/games we all have seen before, it´s hard to feel anything for them besides indifference. You can see the game is trying to overcompensate for the underwhelming writting, overrealiance on chichés and poor character work by constantly telling the player what he/she has to feel and think instead of showing a story that naturally leads the player to feel that way. Also, they had a terrible narrative idea for the second part of the story that makes the whole thing feel like a chore. Clearly, the good reviews praising the great story of this game are either a product of people falling for the trick of confusing edginess with good storytelling or just people that wanted to like this game no matter what given how good TLOU 1 was, either way time will put this game where it belongs, and it will be remembered for being nothing but a pretentious sequel (if remembered at all).    … Expand

    Boring as hell! The game play is generic. And the history, well, is the worst thing in the game. Abby characters is awful and uninteresting. And the dialogues between ellie and dina are a joke. Its looks like a teenage highschool love history and they suppose will take revenge for joel??? horrible...

With such a rapid fire of companion deaths it really challenges the disbelief that OUR character just happens to be the chosen survivor of each encounter. Every attempt to make you 'feel' something or shock you/subvert your expectations is the dictionary definition of hamfisted. TLOU2 logic: you go all over the country killing people without regrets, they kill the person who was almost a father to you, they beat him and leave your girlfriend almost dead, they kill your Chinese friend, they shoot your uncle in the eye, And when you manage to reach the person responsible for all this, he gives you the beating of your life but allows you to live by the work and grace of the holy spirit.
    You keep killing people across the country, you kill the boyfriend and you kill his wife who was pregnant (double kill), you end up killing almost all of his peers, and when you go back to someone who made your **** life, you are willing to murder and avenge yourself of all the **** she did to you, but in the end you let her live because "revenge is never good, it kills the soul and poisons it".

The gameplay is decent at best and is similar to the first one with a couple new things added. The storyline is what really kills the game in my opinion because it is literally a revenge story without the revenge. I also didn't like how we had to play as Abby since, she killed Joel and throughout abby playthrough they try to make us like her and make her seem like kill torturing and killing Joel was the right thing. Honestly the only reason I gave this game a 3/10 is because of the graphics and the OK gameplay.… Expand

It was fun exploring her life in Jackson and her relationship with Joel. Also her post life with Dina was amazing until it was not. I understand why they ended Joel, but the character should have not been Abby.

    Abby- Unlikeable. A Man? Her backstory was worthless and made me care even less for her.

    I don't give a flying **** about Abby. I still don't know if she is a man or a Woman. I think she is actually a woman (Jury is still out). She can only bench 105 pounds and she either took it in ass with no lube after a long day of fighting or she does have a Vag. Abby was so ****ing distracting that she ruined the game.

    The Shamalama Ding Dong twist with Lev actually being a girl was... unnecessary and more distracting. They tricked everyone into calling Lev a "him" if you have a Vagina you are a female. If you have a Penis you are a male. Lev or real name Lilly is a girl. It is science.

    The gameplay was fun I beat it on survivor and was challenged. Aiming was ****ing awful sometimes with direct hits that missed the target.

    The ending was dumb. She let Abby live to set up TLOU3. Abby probably ran off the Catalina Island to rejoin the fireflies. This is now a cash grab for Naughty Dog. There will more than likely be a TLOU3. It was the equivalent to Mario killing all the Goombas and getting to Bowser and not beating him or letting him go and saying **** Peach.

    My fan theory... they could have brought in Ellies Mom or Dad find out what caused the infection. They might do that with TLOU3, but I am over this **** show of a game.

    If Abby was different it could have been redeemable. I just did not give a **** about her or her crew. I wanted them all dead. I Still want Abby dead.    … Expand

The first two hours of the game are boring just walking and talking with a girl who basically is the girlfriend of ellie. I didn't feel any strong conection between not like joels. Joel's death was rushed in the early game making this more awful to swallow. He's quick dead and poor focus to the history makes the character unimportant or a nobody. To me, The Last of Us is purely a masterpiece - of course there may be optimizations needed for the gameplay, but the unforgettable narrative made up for everything. It tells the ugly yet beautiful story of a father figure who had lost it all before, bond to this sweet girl, giving him hope when all seemed lost. Now all of that is taken from us, and the loyal players are left absolutely numb. Aside from the top-notch graphics and soundtrack TLOU2 has, I am left utterly heartbroken and disappointed.

    I'll start off with this. I've been waiting for a sequel back in 2013 since the credits rolled after Joel's lie.
    The first game was a masterpiece. And it's probably why people are talking so much smack about this sequel. Neil's writing peaked at the first installment of The Last of Us. That was it. Hands down.

    See, the problem with this sequel is because the first one set the bar too high. But Naughty Dog did their absolute best to bang this game out. I loved the graphics, I loved the gameplay, I loved the challenges, I loved the feeling of getting through those insane bosses. I actually had some fun. It was intense, it was thrilling.

    BUT, this isn't anything like the first one. There were some parts of the game that I thought was just a drag. Playing as different characters isn't anything new but playing as the game's antagonist definitely was a different experience. When the game tried to gain sympathy for Abby by putting us in her shoes, it sort of worked for me.

    I was so confused as to why I actually felt sorry for Abby when Ellie was beating her up at the final fight. I guess that's what made this game good in its own way. Good guy? Bad guy? This game blurred the lines between those. It was a roller coaster of emotions. A bundle of unpredictability.

    Ellie and Joel's fate broke my heart into a million pieces. However, I will not give this a bad rating. It wasn't unbearable to play, it was just hard to watch everything that everyone went through. I've developed an emotional attachment to these characters since the first game so of course I've shed some tears during some parts of the game.

    If you liked this game, let's call it an acquired taste.    … Expand

The direction the story goes is nonsensical and seems like something out of a bad fanfiction. Even in the end you dont get any sort of a payoff. It's funny that you just let the villain get away. Recomiendo comprarlo cuando esté a $10 o $20 como PlayStationHits.

What the actual **** is wrong with the developers or scripters or whatever. The thing that made the first one good was the whole interaction between Joel and Ellie and how they were coping. They took that all away the second they killed Joel. Now I was like fine, maybe it'll get better but no. It ends with her losing everything, literally ****ing everything and the person who caused all this got to get away and live a happy life?! What **** **** that game, I ****ing hate it.     To some degree a very brave game. Great fighting and stealth mechanics. But the great trick is, the game numbs you as the player with his revenge-violence while still keeping the gameplay/story/progression at top level. You don't want to finish this. Because humans suck at all levels. And you do too.

This game really **** with me on an emotional level. The story is good up to the ending as many of y'all know instead of the game making the call on whether or not you wanted revenge the player should've had this choice. Abby's POV is really good and gives you an interesting perspective i believe that her part of the game story is very good and is why the player should have the choice of kill or not. My main beef with this game is the end it emotional is draining to play this game and the end is brutal. Ellie goes for revenge after having a nice life on a farm with Dina and her child she gives it all up for nothing and when she returns Dina is gone and it **** hurts. After 20 hours of brutal depressing **** the ending leaves you hollow.… Expand

The story is horrid and is pointless due to the fact that they severely dumb down joel for him to die they make Tommy extremely selfish and Ellie extremely reckless and not smart .overall this game disappointed me and it seems the only goals were to tear down old characters for a 3rd game with abby.     21 de Junio, al fín me pasé el juego despues de 3 dias de puro vicio. Lo único que diré es que el juego tiene un propósito desde el principio, la venganza, y te lo van contando desde los puntos de vista de los personajes jugables (no spoiler). El juego es perfecto en los apartados sonoros, gráfico y jugable, pero aqui llegamos al apartado de la narratica, acepto que no sea un juego de 10,21 de Junio, al fín me pasé el juego despues de 3 dias de puro vicio. Lo único que diré es que el juego tiene un propósito desde el principio, la venganza, y te lo van contando desde los puntos de vista de los personajes jugables (no spoiler). El juego es perfecto en los apartados sonoros, gráfico y jugable, pero aqui llegamos al apartado de la narratica, acepto que no sea un juego de 10, ni de 9, ¿pero ponerle un 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 o un 5? La historia es buena durante todo el juego, obviamente no al nivel del primero, pero es BUENA. Me hubiese gustado que la hayan contado de otra manera, con otro final, etc, pero no es malo, es una conclusión que para mi, esta dentro de historias "buenas".
