    GOOD:
    GRAPHICS, it's a triple A game in 2020 of course it's looks beautiful. LEVEL DESIGN, the world is designed well, it allows a lot of exploration and it is always rewarded by getting new weapons, equipment or resources. SOUND, the sound is amazing. Shooting, punching explosions and other stuff sound really good. DIFFICULTY, the difficulty    I finished the couple hours ago.
    GOOD:
    GRAPHICS, it's a triple A game in 2020 of course it's looks beautiful.
    LEVEL DESIGN, the world is designed well, it allows a lot of exploration and it is always rewarded by getting new weapons, equipment or resources.
    SOUND, the sound is amazing. Shooting, punching explosions and other stuff sound really good.
    DIFFICULTY, the difficulty customisation is perfect, you are able to adjust the main characters, the enemies, the environment, resources and so on.
    FLASHBACKS, those were good and I feel the game should just start with them and the story in them was actually well written and told.

    BAD:
    GAMEPLAY: it's just the same as 7 years ago, no improvements but also hasn't got worse, but yeah I think some new features would have helped the gameplay. It becomes tedious after 10-15 hours.
    LENGTH: the game is way too long, 25-30 hours for this story is ridiculous, 15-20 hours would have been enough.
    ACCESSIBILITY OPTIONS: yeah most of the things in there are useful options that can help people, however there are option that make no sense and seem to be put in for the journalists that review the game. There is an option that makes you invisible when prone, another option lets you stay under water without drowning, you can turn weapon sway off which makes certain upgrades useless and makes you feel like you are playing a trained soldier rather than a teenage girl.
    BUGS, for a triple A game, there are so many bugs, I had to reload entire levels or restart the game on several occasion because the game was soft locked and I couldn't go on because a NPC didn't move to a certain spot.

    WARNING SPOILERS
    STORY, the story is complete trash. I don't know who the people are that believe this story is well written or well-told.
    CHARACTERS: The characters are introduced by name, like Jesse, Dina and so on, there is often no background to them, no story on how they met or how they ended up where they are. Every character that dies in this game dies after couple of scenes and isn't mentioned anymore people like JESSE and MANNY who are obviously important to the story, they die right in front of Ellie and Abby and they aren't mentioned after all, not a single word. Character development is awful, everybody but YARA and LEV are replaceable and unlikeable. YARA and LEV's story is nice and has some emotional and deep scene throughout their missions, especially the island scenes.
    STORY ORDER, the order how the story is told feels backwards, Ellie kills these people like Danny, Jordan, Nora or whatever the hospital girl is called, then 7-10 hours later they are introduced when the player takes control over Abby. When people found out Danny is dead, they were mad and sad, as player I didn't care I knew nothing about that guy there was no connection. The order would be a lot better if the player would play Abby and Ellie each day, starting with Abby then Ellie "chasing" after her, so with Abby's missions we would get to know the "villains" we kill playing Ellie, but yeah none of this happens. Killing any of Abby's friends felt like killing any other enemy in the game, just another faceless character.
    PURPOSE, the whole story is about revenge constantly showing the player revenge is bad, it is a cheap way of story making and it showed in the writing.
    I have nothing against Joel being killed I feel it had to happen his actions needed consequences but it was badly done as Joel had 3 scenes before being killed. I have nothing against Naughty Dog's approach of making female lesbian characters and Abby's design, I see the media using this a reason why people don't like this game but it isn't.
    The reason why people don't like this game is because it isn't made for gamers but for the journalist and reviewers. Accessibility options killing off the entire gameplay and the whole LGBT thing they are trying to do just shows me they are trying to please "video game" journalists.

    In the end the game itself wasn't terrible as many people want to make it sound but it was certainly wasn't good either.

    So disappointing. First game had an incredibly deep story line that had me hooked the whole way. This one was shallow, guided by the principal of "ram my wokeness down your throat". Nothing pulls you out of the immersion of a game like that does.

What they did to Joel is DISGUSTING. The writing is so bad, that I actually had to pause multiple times because I was so frustrated. The whole game is pointless because Ellie doesn't even get her revenge. It's a slap to the face of the fans that have been waiting SEVEN YEARS and it makes me sick. The visuals and gameplay are great. That's about it. Anyone with a brain will not enjoy this game. Shame on you Naughty Dog.like this **** game.… Expand

    Forced the player into a disliked character, and gave me the role for more than half of the game time, and the preview also gave me fraud. Sony Congratulations, you have a traitor. Microsoft said it is super cool.Thank you naughty dog for feeding us a poop.

    -The first game was awesome for it's time , a nice father-daughter story in the middle of an apocalypse trying yo survive and make allies. Even the Prequel DLC had a good story too, everyone loved those campaigns still to this day.

    So... what's the problem with this "sequel" ?
    The first minutes are good and shows us how the protagonists re living after the first game but in a couple of hours.... boom
    They kill the most beloved character of the franchise, because of a "girl"? Who wanted revenge against him for killing his father in the first game.

    So the game make us want to take revenge against that girl and his crew and we do.
    We kill almost every friend of her as she kills some of out allies too, and in the end...
    WE FORGIVE HER ??!!!
    I don't know who exactly was the dumbass who write this ending (actually i think we all do) but .You makes take revenge against all of her friends just to make us forgive Her for killing Ellie's father figure ?
    That's the most stupid plot i've ever seen .
    If you're gonna make a revenge story then we should, idk....

    The game has GOOD graphics and GOOD music.
    But come on , The Story ending it's Stupid

    Take as Example for a Revenge story the Destiny 2 Forsaken plot:
    They kill a beloved friend of ours and we swear to take revenge with our hands. So we go and kill The Barons( The ones who helped the antagonist to kill that friend ) , then in the end our character and an ally are in front of him about to kill him , but he asks
    " The light between light and dark is so thin, which side are you on ? "
    That makes our character doubt but we stil point at him with our gun , in the end , the screen goes black and we hear a gunshot.

    We don't know if we did kill him or our ally did, but we know he is now dead , and that gives us a relief completing our Revenge Crusade , we later have to deal with the consequences of killing him but it's still a good plot.

    I don't know why ND had to make such an bad ending. It could 've been a good game ...
    So sad ended this way

    PD : Was that s3x scene so necesary for the plot of the game ?

    Big difference between the critic reviews and user reviews, lmao. Making myself to highly doubt against the critic reviews, I believe something is wrong in the critic reviews.
    Back to topic, I've been always a fan naughty dog. Played the first one, TLOU and TLOU remastered, absolutely loved it. However, for TLOU2, things got escalated pretty fast. I never thought Joel died so early in the    Big difference between the critic reviews and user reviews, lmao. Making myself to highly doubt against the critic reviews, I believe something is wrong in the critic reviews.

    I played days nonstop 25~ hours and formed an opinion on this game without spoilers. And PC players who are not able to criticize and of course THINK how much time and people have been spent on this project. English is not my native language, so I can say something incorrectly.

    She is now not a kind girl, ready to help everyone. She became tougher and more careful (reminiscent of Joel from the first part). In general, she has matured and she quickly changes in the course of the plot and this "development" affects the end of the game.
    Dina is not a terrible character. She has her own character, motives. It seems there are no problems, but she does not reach the previous partner Ellie.
    There will be familiar characters, and many new ones that I did not like at all, but these are spoilers.
    I won’t talk much about the plot, the only thing I will say. He has many flaws and some things are incomprehensible to me, but he continued the story and the ending made me think about some things for a long time
    2. Gameplay is as excellent as in the previous part. Shooting is even more awesome, and sounds .. I recommend everyone to play with headphones, which would plunge even more into this atmosphere

    A huge disappointment. I was so hyped for this game, but unfortunately, it never met my expectations, or even got close to it tbh. Problems like the unaceptable plotholes and completely unbelievable decisions and actions made by characters throughout the game just so the writers could force the story they created forward was one of my biggest problems with this game. They also disrespected the fans with false expectations and misleading and fake marketing strategies, making us think the game is something that it really isn't. They thought that making us play half of the game on a side-quest just to make us like and care for unlikeable and boring characters was a good idea. Let me tell you, I hated every second. No matter how much you try to make said characters look like good people, they ain't. The ending of the game also feels very unsatisfying, not only for the choices the characters make, but also because the entire message you tried to send was very contradictory when you look at the end each character had.

    Not all about this game is bad tho. Just like in the first game, the music is insanely good and fitting. The graphics are also insane, next gen stuff. Animations, acting (for what the writers intended), the overall art-side of the game is really good, it really brings the entire TLOU universe to life, even more than it did in the first game. There are also very enjoyable moments every now and then, mostly in the first half of the game, which makes you wonder what this game could've been if the writers actually cared.

    Overall, I rate this game a 6/10. What made TLOU a great game, my favorite game of all time, was its story, and this game doesn't even come close to it. Production wise, this game really good, which makes it even more sad for me, because this could've been such an incredible experience, but, at the end of the day. it was just so unsatisfying.    … Expand

    Fantastic game! Don't understand the hate it gets. I'ts a dark, depressing story and that's great. Well written characters and a beautiful, hard world to explore. Kept me at the point of my chair until the end.

    Naughty Dog prooves to have some balls with this game! 10/10

    Il gioco mi ha fatta emozionare in tutte le vie sebbene sia difficile da deglutire per i fan. Devo ancora riprendermi da parecchie scene presenti nel gioco, soprattutto dal finale... grazie naughty dog per questo capolavoro, grazie per tutto l’impegno che ci avete messo anche per farci soffrire alla grande :,) Vi meritate questo dieci e spero che voi possiate darci altro!

    The game itself looks really nice however as a fan of the first game I feel that the story of this game dose not come close to part 1 , there is no bond with the new characters and no loyalty to the old ones, it's a revenge plot where you fail at getting revenge

It's a another group of ppl not taking in criticism would be my guess and no one telling the boss his her ideas are stupid. And why would I ever want to play as your replacement father's killer and not get to have your actual revenge. Pitiful dont wasteThis game is crap.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game came out after 7 years of waiting. After telling one of the best stories portrayed in a video game drops the **** ball. The death of joel was almost enough for me to not want to play this game but I still gave it a fair chance. I thought what was clearly going to be a revenge story was still going to be great even though one of the best complex characters Naughtydog gave us was dead. Boy was I **** wrong. Besides giving us no true conclusion to the story you as a player are almost forced to like someone you clearly cannot. After Ellie goes after Abby to get her revenge you you as the player are forced to see the same techniques and tropes from the first game played out between Ellie and Dina/Abby and Lev. You see Ellie take the place of Joel wanting nothing but to get the job done while Dina tries to bond with you and almost make light of the entire journey youre on. If that isn't enough Dina plays almost no point in the game besides being a liability to you. She goes on the trip knowing full well she is possibly pregnant. She even states that shes at least a few weeks late on her period. If you know that you could possibly be pregnant why would you go on a trip where you could possibly die? Granted she does have this connection with Ellie but that connection isn't nearly strong enough for her to go on this revenge mission. Once she is outed as being pregnant she just stays in the hideout while Ellie goes alone until other characters join along on the revenge like Jesse. As the game progress's Ellie gets closer and closer killing every friend of Abby's only to decide not to continue after her because they don't have a lead. Throughout the entire time youre playing as Ellie you get flashbacks of Joel and Ellie together. Them celebrating her birthday or showing how Ellie now knows how Joel lied to her about the Fireflies and there being no cure. All these moments do nothing but spur you on to get your revenge for the Father that was taken from you. After deciding to give up on revenge out of nowhere Abby and Lev appear at the temp hideout and youre thrust into playing as Abby. Youre forced to see why Abby wants her revenge so badly. How Joel killed her father the doctor who Joel shoots in the operating room. This moment alone couldve been a great driving force in Abby's character but instead you're shown what she's done after killing Joel. How she's working with WLF and all theyre doing. You're forced to see the dynamic between Abby and her friends and honestly you just see how bad of a person Abby is. Besides sleeping with her ex who is already dating someone who's pregnant with his child you're forced to watch flashbacks of them together. I really wanted to know why was I forced to do this? All the energy I had up until this point is thrown away and now I'm just sitting here not caring about Abby and any of these other characters. As Abby is doing her job with WLF she gets captured and is saved by some Scars. After narrowly escaping death multiple times she decides to have a change of heart and go back and save them. After going through all these challenges and dangers she finally sees how her all her friends are dead, her and Lev go after revenge now. They make it to the hideout only to have her kill Jesse, almost kill tommy, beat Dina within a inch of her pregnant life and almost kill Ellie. At this point the story shifts and Ellie and Dina are now living in there lil happy home with their baby on a farm. You find out that even though they seem happy Ellie still can't handle what has happened to joel. She gets one last chance on revenge and she gives it up, SHE GIVES IT UP AND LETS ABBY GO FREE. If this wasn't a slap in the face the game ends showing that Ellie and Joel were going to try again at having a relationship, at being father and daughter. The scene you're shown is the night before the game essentially starts. You go off on this revenge story that is utterly pointless and worthless to the player. There is no lesson to be learned about revenge, there is no conclusion to help the player move on. Ellie just goes off now all alone back into the world. I love how Metacritic and Neil Druckmann didn't care about the reviews thinking this was just people basing their reviews off of Joel's death. It wasn't Joel's death that made this game bad for me it was the lackluster story with a bad ending that did it for me. The fact i'm forced the play as my enemy would have been ok. But the fact you try to make me like her is a **** After she kills Joel why should I like Abby? Should I like her because she saves a trans child and takes them under her wing? Hell no she's still a poorly written character who can't stand on her legs. Throughout the entire playthrough of Abby's story all I could do was see why Abby as a person is someone I couldn't be friends with. After waiting 7 years for a game I thought was going to be amazing it turned out to be a complete waste of my time.… Expand

    30h de game play sem entregar nada repetido todo cenário é único.... vale muito a pena ... e me surpreende por terem a coragem de colocar temas polêmicos e tanta violência em um jogo . Parabéns pelo trabalho. Algo que o Red Dead não consegue entregar .... por ser um gênero de pura violência se torna um jogo morno perto deste aqui.

Sadly, the story in The Last of Us Part Two is awful. In fact, it goes from bad to worse. Joel is no longer careful. Ellie murders lots of innocent people/animals in the name of revenge. While I did not enjoy acomplishing the objectives, I did enjoy the themes of the story. It's a story about dealing with loss. I think the director took a risk and told a devisive story and for me it worked. People were expecting a game similar to the original and this is not it. It is still great though and it will keep you thinking about the consequences of your actions. In terms of feel the closer I can think of is spec ops the line, it has an oppresive atmosfere.     Played without hearing about leaks and without hearing about the negative response from some. Finished it thinking it was the most powerful experience I've ever had with a video game. Taste is subjective, and for what it's worth, I felt it was the sequel I wanted in every single way.

    A bad reason to start up a merciless revenge. I mean, did Joel torture his victim before killing them? No he gave them a swift and quick death. You tried to make Abby looks innocent by having a reason to kill Joel. Yes you had a strong and valid reason... But your reason doesn't make any sense to give her any reason to torture somebody to death.

    I felt deeply offended on the discrimination part against Jesse. What kind of double standard do you guys have to make such a bad joke    … Expand

Which in turn Ellie decides to not kill Abby. WTF?!!? So that whole journey we went though just to kill this girl and now she's alive?! Also there's a super forced, awkward sex scene and Joel dies and the game was overall just annoying after a while. Жму руку разработчикам за титанический труд, если они хотели угодить ЛГБТ, как некоторые выразились, то они сделали это в меньшей возможной мере, к тому же такой химии двух влюбленных девушек я ещё нигде не видел, это было очень мило и как по мне всё было крайне убедительно, актеры дубляжа и захвата движения постарались. Геймеры, сидящие на попе ровно, с кривой осанкой и не следящие за фигурой сразу же начали возникать "а шо это баба такая накаченная ээ, она чё трансы ыы" идут лесом, в постапоке я думаю лучше быть накаченным бойцом, чем клацать на джойстик, тем более её ведёт жажда мести за отца. На счёт мести Элли, она правильно сделала, что не убила Эбби, ей и так досталось (смерть отца, верных друзей, невинных дочки и мамы, рабство), если кто то после этого все равно хотел её убить, у вас не всё в порядке с головой. Ставлю 8 из 10, геймплей слишком нудный, бежать до кат-сцен и всё, лучше смотреть игрофильм. Если кто-то ожидал хеппи-энд, то вы конечно обосрались, все трейлеры были пронизаны безысходностью, насилием и несправедливостью, что нам и показали, эта игра не для умиления, а чтобы вы прочувствовали всю боль потерь и лишений, с которыми нам так или иначе предстоит столкнуться в этой жизни.… Expand

    My game was in my mailbox the 20th of this month and I threw it in my ps4 as soon as I walked in.
    first 2 hours is just looking at the graphics and how smooth everything is.
    loved the way how you just stepped back in a universe that I missed the last 6 years.
    I played the first game about 10-15 times in every mode available just to be with Joel and Ellie.
    So when the Joel thing happened I was shocked and in tears.
    I had to lay down my controller and pour myself a drink, 6 years of playing joel every few months just died on me. But with the road to vengeance ahead I was still enthiousiastic. and then **** just went down the drain.
    Playing as Abbie just made the game suck.
    I DONT WANT ABBIE **** ABBIE. I disliked this souped up terminator muscle manwoman.
    So i thought let met just finish the abby part quick so i can get back to ellie.
    But **** that is 50% of the game. YOU PLAY HALF THE GAME AS THE GIRL WHO KILLED JOEL.
    And as a cherry on a **** filled pie you have to play against Ellie and almost kill her.
    after that **** part you get to play as Ellie and finnaly try to kill this elon muscle.
    after killing about 250+ men and woman you suddenly remember that killin s bad mkay and you get home without being able to fingerbang yourself and you try to play retarded guitar.
    Whatuh****, the man who wrote this must be drunk.

    As a huge fan of the original Last of Us game, and most of Naughty Dog's games in general, getting all the way through this game was painful and confusing. So many of the decisions in the game's pacing, writing, and characterizations are just so far from what you would expect from a company like Naughty Dog.     As a gamer, I don't want to support companies that practice these sorts of things, and especially not when they use such a poorly written game as an excuse to generalize most gamers, when this is just not the case.

    When you were promised gold for 7 years from one of the best games made ever previously they could not have **** this game up any worse then they managed to pull out there ass. Never again.

    Scenery: 10/10 Graphics: 9/10 the acting( voice included): 9/10 gameplay: 8/10 Characters: 3/10 Storyline: 1/10 Story pacing: 1/10 Cutscene placements: 1/10 ( a flashback right before the climax to an important segment in the game..)     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. If there was a 9.5 rating that’s what I would’ve rated it. A couple minor plot issues and an ending that felt like it dragged compared to the entire build up. One of the most impressively written narratives I’ve ever seen. I really can understand the people who aren’t too fond of this game, but giving it a 1/10 basically just outs yourself as not playing the game or giving it a chance. There’s plenty of good in this game even if you hate certain choices. Personally it worked so well for me, and I can’t wait to go back and replay it. I was shocked at my favorite parts of the game being Abby’s section. Laura Bailey puts in an absolutely incredible performance. This game is an absolute masterpiece of storytelling in gaming. Jumping from timeline to timeline, switching from Ellie to Abby, killing off the characters that it does...and executing them all so well is insane. There were a lot of areas where this game could’ve collapsed on itself but it manages to be a worthy successor. I truly think we’ll get a third game, too, and when we do - I hope Neil and Halle double down on not giving in to fan service. This game is incredible, and my only advice is at least give it a chance and play through the game before judging it. Because I loved this game.… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
