    A brilliant game, I love that the gameplay feel is exactly that of part 1, part 1 was amazing and keeping the gameplay feel exactly the same is what I love!

    The graphics are beyond amazing and the open world areas are to die for, just beautiful. The updated enemies are phenomenal and feel so much more terrifying compared to part 1. The storytelling is fantastic!     All I can say is... Thanks for ruining another franchise with lazy and bad writing. I've read YouTube comments that came up with a better story than a whole team of writers... What's even worse is how they treat some of the beloved characters. And the ending is probably one of the worst endings I had to endure in a long while. No payoff, no reward no nothing. But it's nothing special because we've come to expect such graphics in AAA titles for years now. If only the story was as good as the graphics... What's also quite upsetting is how the "critics", aka the ass kissers, give it raving reviews, while the actual fans aren't too fond of the game so far. Just look at Pewdiepie's reaction to the first pivotal moment in the game. That tells you all you need to know.

It was intense fun scary gross and had me going threw all sorts of emotions the world is cruel and savage and shows the extent of what humans will do when they feel like they have nothing to lose. Game play is nice not every confrontation is the same sometimes you just have to run for your life or u will be swarmed other times you have to sneak or hide its really intense and I was playing only the hardest mode so it was unique experience. Its good game its not perfect but man its really something else I recommend it.… Expand

    This is a game meant for people that don't want the run and gun, already know what's gonna happen, same as everything every year game. It is Linear and it is Story Based, but for the mass majority of Gamers that grew up Playing PS and can't game 14 hours a day. This game is pretty dang good. Just buy it and don't listen to others.

    Visually stunning and the music is great.
    Unfortunately, the Storytelling and was bad.
    The slow pacing makes this game boring.
    Maybe if the timeline was linear it would have been more entertaining.
    My biggest issues with the game are the traversal and in-game sound design.
    However, the AI is the best AI in any third person shooter game.

    One of the best games of this generation so far!!! I have no regrets on buying or by playing this masterpiece!! Well done Naughty Dog and Sony as well by having one of the best and universally acclaimed franchise of all the time!!!!

    The way in which the game uses new mechanics is incredible, the story is excellent and plausible, the graphics are incredible, certainly one of the best, if not the best game of the generation.

    It's sad to see all these bad reviews.. not sure if the new age gamers mature enough to play this or I am stuck in a nostalgic dream. I find the story brilliant and characters engaging. You do get lost in exploring the world and find perfect little gems that shake you and at the same time relieve the tension and you understand that the story is about growing up in a **** up wasteland whoIt's sad to see all these bad reviews.. not sure if the new age gamers mature enough to play this or I am stuck in a nostalgic dream.     Story aside, to which I personally have no problem with (it is what it is) I found the game itself most enjoyable, the mechanics of the first game have been built upon to produce a tighter and more intuitive system that is an absolute blast to play. There's also a slew of accessibility options that should be commended, the more people able to play the better right?     But the pity thing is the story line is so messed up. At the beginning the game makes the Fans of TLOU feel extremely angry and want to make the revenge complete but suddenly you need to play the enemy(Abby) as the main character that makes player feel even worse, and the game leave no choice to    Somehow the game itself is good not only the gameplay but also the quality of the whole world.

    The whole game player is in a state of extreme depression and there is no reasonable plot design to release this negative emotion.So I think the studio didn't take into account the mental health of the player during the game.The incomplete sandbox design also seriously interferes with the story's fluency, and the rewards of exploration don't make the trip worthwhile.    … Expand

Exploring is always rewarded with extra narrative moments and crafting opportunities. And once I found myself in combat, my focus was entirely commanded in an effort to save my character.

    The story is amazing. Much like the world, it's sprawling; covering ground and characters from multiple places and times. There are a few moments where it almost crumbles under the weight of its ambition, yet it doesn't. And those moments where you feel that ping of uncertainty or skepticism disappear immediately after you consider the larger context.

    Moment to moment, this game is a whirlwind. Overall, it’s a contemplation into who these characters are, what this game can be, and how this medium fits within the world at large.

    when I started playing part 2, it was up and down for the first few hrs. I hated it and loved it. Now I’m about halfway through the game and it’s the best game I ever played. Ppl who gave up on it after “the scene” are not real gamers and have NO IDEA what they are missing... You can’t watch cutscenes and assume you know how the game will be. I like the game Halo but if I watch gameplaywhen I started playing part 2, it was up and down for the first few hrs. I hated it and loved it.     The game play, graphics and music are all there. I see the way the story is trying to show the cycle of violence but could have been told with better pacing. The talent and effort from naughty dog can be seen but the story has some good ideas but is not executed in the best light.

I am one of those people that has finished this game, and I am not that surprised how this could’ve sparked some divisiveness in some ways, but certainly NOT to this extent. I enjoyed the game a lot, as well as the characters andI can guarantee less than 1% of all people that have review-bombed this game haven’t even touched this game or even played it. All this drama is just ridiculous. I enjoyed the game a lot, as well as the characters and the story*, and how Ellie and the other characters discovered more about themselves and changed as people as the story went on. However, the only negative I see is the dreadful pacing. Other than that, the gameplay is phenomenally brutal and satisfying, moreso than the first The Last of Us, and it CARRIES this game. (I play on Survivor so the AI is a bit more human and challenging, since they’re kind of dumb on moderate difficulty) On moderate things can get too easy and bland. I strongly recommend the challenge of Survivor difficulty. I am definitely going back for a second playthrough… Expand

    The gameplay is the same thing as the first game, no innovation, the jump feature is worthless, what the game forces you to see and play is beyond reason, is sad how bad the story is, it seems naughty dog had an agenda to destroy what everybody loved of the first game.     This is a Must Play for anyone who owns a PlayStation 4 it definitely lived up to the hype and delivers on an amazingly detailed world, a very intricate and complex to master combat system and an exceptional and emotional story.

If you like the game mechanics of the first one you will definitely like the new installment.The world building, graphics and attention to detail is unlike anything i have ever seen. I would have preferred if the story was taken in a different direction than just a revenge quest but what we got i felt wasnt as bad as its conveyed by so many other reviewers. This game is divided into two characters and they both are playable characters (Abby and Ellie). I believe that Ellie's section f the game could have used better characters and more scripted action sequences or a more layered objectives rather than just going to a destination to find a person. As much as i hated Abby for killing Joel, her section of the gameplay was much more interesting than Ellie's as i found Lev and yara
    to be better side charactrers than Jesse and Dina. Even the gameplay segments were very unique and clever as opposed to Ellies gameplay run. The entire game made me uncomfortable several times but not for its brutality but for having to play as the person who killed one of the most beloved character in gaming world. However i deeply enjoyed every aspect of the game. The emotions were thoroughly delivered. the voice acting and the cut scenes were phenominal.The story is bold and divisive but not extremely bad. I do understand why fans are upset, but I would recommend to anyone on the fence about this game to play through it once with an open mind. It ties in well with the first game and I ended up liking all (well, almost all) of the new characters. It did upset me terribly to see what eventually happened to characters I loved from the first game, but I understand why the tragedies that befell them happened in the manner that they did. This is a harsh and unforgiving world where there is a reaction to every action and the line between good and bad is blurred repeatedly. Does this game have a political agenda informed by a feminist, gay, trans, woke agenda? Sure. Does that bother me? In some ways yes and in some ways no. Did they kill off one of my all-time favorite characters who happens to be the antithesis of all those things? Yes and graphically. Was I happy with all the narrative choices Naughty Dog made? No. But this is a damn good game with a damn good story and I enjoyed it immensely because it made me feel a wide array of emotions, and, simply put, it entertained me. For $59.99, that’s a good deal to me.… Expand

    I waited 7 years for this master piece . Don't go by the fake mob provided review . This game is really worth the investment of money and time. Nobody would put in 4-5 years to make a game to make it bad . I am glad I bought the collectors edition and don't regret it a bit

    The game is very slow. The game felt I didn't have any aesthetic distance to it or what so ever. It lacked the most important aspect of story telling games. However the graphics are amazing. Cuts scenes are very beautiful. Naughty Dog really messed up here. 0/10 from me
